He asked me for pictures and provided ideas and feedback based on my photos. He asked me specific questions on who/what/where to make sure my expectations were in line with his services, and his pricing is inclusive of the hair/makeup trial. Once we switched to texting, he would check in with me regularly to schedule my trial run and make sure everything was on track for my wedding. He came to my house at 6am (actually he was early), and he was an immediately calming presence around my high anxiety self and mother. He set everything up quickly, brought all the equipment he would need, including a towel to protect my parent’s dining room table, and even offered his makeup light to my bridesmaids as they were getting ready a few hours later. Perry stayed much longer than I expected, waiting for me to get into my dress so he could assist with the buttons, which was much appreciated. I rarely wear a lot of makeup and was genuinely concerned that having hair and makeup for my big day would look overdone- I also wasn’t planning for my bridesmaids to be all done up- so I needed someone who would make me look special, but also very natural so it wasn’t crazy obvious that they didn’t have full hair and makeup done as well. Perry delivered beyond anything I could have imagined- I looked like a less puffy, less tired version of myself. I felt special but could still recognize the person in the mirror. When I finally saw my fiancé at the end of the aisle- he literally said “wow.” I work in events, on the venue side, so I don’t always interact with the “behind the scenes” professionals, securing my own hair and makeup was the only vendor search I performed relatively blindly and scoured photos and reviews to find the right match- Perry was 100% it!

Perry stayed with me the whole time (longer than he was supposed to) to make sure my hair, make up and dress were touched up after every photo and video in the rain. We had already commissioned custom suits; why ignore our heads? So it was settled. We looked on TheKnot and came across Perry’s information. He came highly decorated. We called and spoke with him, and he gave us a thorough description of the services he could offer us, as well as anyone else who wanted beauty services on the day of the wedding. He provided an incredibly reasonable estimate, and we didn’t even bother talking to anyone else. Perry was the one. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, the groom who needed hair styling visited Perry at his salon location. Perry went over his ideas, did some mild coloring, styling, and cutting, and created a new look. It was a winner! The day of the wedding arrived. Perry came onsite early and did hair for one groom and skin work for both. Our faces looked bright and clean, and not a single strand of hair fell out of place. Oh, the compliments we received!!! But I want to take a moment to talk about something else. We decided to surprise our moms with day-of beauty services. The mother of one of the grooms had recently beaten cancer, but it had taken a toll on her self-image. For almost a year, she disliked her appearance because of the changes that the treatments had caused. Perry took extra time to work with her to provide an effortless look that brought out the beauty she already possessed. He styled her wig and helped her to remember what it was like to feel beautiful. No other service Perry provided on our wedding day or has provided for us since could ever come close to the life-changing impact he made in that moment. From some of the comments from friends on social media after the wedding, I learned that Perry Warren isn’t a man; he’s an institution. Many of my lady friends had also employed him for their own weddings. Perry is a local legend, and I can see why. His work is meticulous, but also caring. I’ve been going back to him for routine hair appointments ever since the wedding. Thank you for everything, Perry. I’ll continue to look forward to our monthly sessions and receiving all the follicular love you have to offer!

Not only was Perry fantastic during the getting ready phase of my day, he followed us to the venue and did multiple touch ups but he assisted the photographer with getting perfect pictures. At one point my three year old son came to see me. He had been with he father all morning And he looked a hot mess. Perry sat him down and fixed his hair. My little one walked up to the mirror and did a happy scream. Perry shows up ladies. He does not mess around. He makes sure you are feeling and looking beautiful.
