my budget, we went with a custom dress designed and created by Janell Berte, which really complemented our garden wedding. I had 3 fittings with Janell and they were great. She took my feedback and would make changes and we would discuss details like the fit of my dress to the length. In addition, her bridal shop hosts weekends where they allow you to shop for accessories and because I currently live out of town she would be flexible with my arrival times and I purchased my veil and bridal accessories from her store. I truly appreciate her for helping me feel amazing on our wedding day which was located in Nashville, TN. Overall, I look forward to continuing to cherish and preserve my beautiful custom gown which was made possible by the Posh Bridal Team.

For my last fitting she stayed past the shop hours to do my final fitting and did some alterations so I could take the dress home that night instead of having to drive 2 hours back to Lancaster to pick it up. Made it so much more convenient. Overall I’m very happy with the service and how my dress turned out!

With my parents in the industry (the owners of Excelsior Lancaster) I felt it was my duty as their daughter to check out local vendors first. This was by far above and beyond my expectations. Your dress is what builds your confidence on the day of your wedding. The showroom dress you try on vs. the actual dress you wear on your wedding day, goes through so much detail. From adding things like bustles, padding or buttons, to shortening your train. Over that entire time you build a relationship with your designer. Janell has your back through the entire process. Her eye for design adds an additional quality to whatever you choose. I absolutely loved both of my wedding dresses and my now husband, loved every detail of both of them as well. Visiting Posh Bridal will be the best choice you make for your wedding day, hands down!

During alterations, Janell fit my dress to me perfectly and listened to my vision to add just a little lace to the deep V to make me feel more confident on my day. I loved that I got to try on accessories at the Style on the Aisle event, and I ended up choosing accessories that I didn’t realize would look perfect with my dress until I tried them all together. , but I fell in love with one in particular and ended up saying yes to the dress. Janell and her team were incredible every step of the way. Shortly after I ordered my dress, I moved to New Orleans. Janell went out of her way to make sure I could be seen for fittings during my quick trips back home. During their “Style down the aisle” event, I found ALL the perfect accessories, including the most comfortable, gorgeous shoes that I was able to wear for the entire day and night of my wedding (if you know me, this is a big deal as I live in sneakers). I would absolutely recommend Posh to any bride. They deliver a top tier experience start to finish. My mom, aunt, and I loved Janell so much we started asking WWJD when we were wedding planning. She truly is the best in the business!

picking up the final (perfectly) fitted dress, I felt special and heard. Janell and her team had a private room set up for my first shopping experience. I wasn't sure about the dress color so she found fabric to put under the lace so I could get a sense of what the final dress would look like. That made my dress buying decision easy. I live two hours from the bridal shop and Janell often came in early so I could do fittings as my schedule allowed. Posh Bridal hosted "Style on the Aisle" events where I had hair and makeup done, tried on my dress and found the perfect accessories. These little events and touches added up to the perfect wedding dress experience. I highly recommend Posh Bridal!

they took a plain bottom and ordered it like that! I personally didn't even know you could do that. I was worried waiting for it to come in because technically I hadn't seen my wedding dress together 100%, I just had to trust they knew what they were doing. I'm so glad i did because I LOVED my dress and how it came out. It was 100% me and I wouldn't have found that without Janelle and all the people there! So thankful I found them!!

The whole time Lily made me feel comfortable, pretty and listened to all of my concerns while trying on all of these dresses. Once I said “yes” we had a celebration with champagne, music and pictures and Lily answered all of my questions I had about the next steps. I get married next April (2023) so I have time until my fitting appointments, but if they go anything like my try-on appointments I know it’ll go great. I would 10/10 recommend Posh!

eren’t taken back until after 3:30 which already shortened my appointment time by 30 minutes (which is what the free silver appointment offers). It was to include complimentary bubbly drinks and treats which should say “drink” not “drinks”. We were given a white wine sangria that tasted like juice and when my mother and I requested a second that was denied and we were not given another drink. Also the “treats” was just a ziplock bag with a make shift white chocolate trail mix. I think they had all but 20 dresses in the whole entire store- so the options seemed very limited. To top it off as we were getting ready to leave , one of the kind ladies helping us with the dresses went to hand me a bridal bag and right in front of me the CEO Jenelle said “No she doesn’t get a bag, she didn’t say yes and pulled the bag back from me.” My maid of honor who is also getting married this year and just went to find her wedding dress a month ago warned me that this was her most unpleasant experience and she was right. Would not recommend ladies and definitely not worth paying for the appointment!

from my observations, the other consultants are equally as warm and respectful. It seemed pretty clear that Janell has a philosophy that she is passionate about and she has imparted it on her staff as well. Personal attention seems to be the center of that philosophy. Janell seemed genuinely invested in my search for a dress. She put no pressure on me to buy a dress from her, and actually encouraged me to go to my other appointments that day, so when I was trying on dresses and deciding if they were right, I didn't have to worry that I was annoying her or wasting her time. She made me feel great about shopping. She was calm and confident and at the end of my appointment she invited me to call her after my other appointments, and welcomed me to come back to try on my favorite dress again. I just loved that! No FOMO sales tactics. She even told me with a smile that she wanted me to find the perfect dress, wherever that was. She is also super funny. I really appreciated her personality and genuineness. The other salons I went to were wildly different than Posh. I assumed every bridal salon would be like what you see on TV - excitement! Fun! Friendly consultants! And individualized, thoughtful attention! Nope, that seems to be a TV and Posh Bridal exclusive. I was also surprised that the quality of dresses was quite different. The dress I bought from Posh had more boning (structure), was more comfortable, and much more flattering. My other consultants made me feel like it was a chore to pull dresses for me. I felt guilty for not wanting to buy their dresses, and at the same time, would not have felt good about giving them my money, so at the end of the day of shopping I felt so crummy. I called Posh sadly and told the consultant on the phone I didn't even know if I should come back, because I wasn't certain I was going to buy anything, and I didn't want to waste anyone's time. I don't know who I talked to, but she was so upbeat and reassuring. She invited me to come back to try on my favorite dress again, and I'm so happy that I did. Trying it on again after seeing so many others made it all crystal clear. I said yes to the dress, and even Janell had tears in her eyes :) I recommend Posh because I felt happy about spending my money there. The vibe was great, the people are absolutely wonderful, and the quality of the dress was unmatched. And I won't give anything away, but there are a lot of fun things that happen when you do say yes. I really do feel like a member of the Posh family and now I'm counting down the days until I get my dress back!

She ended up picking the perfect size for me too so I had minimal alterations. From start to finish Posh was the best and I cannot recommend them more!

This made the moment soooo incredibly special for not only me, but for my bridesmaids as well. The girls raved at how special that moment was and they were blown away by their experience at POSH! showed up for my appointment. Upon arrival, I was greeted with excitement and they were interested in my ring and story, which immediately made me feel special. We were the only appointment, so all the eyes and attention were on me, which made the entire process even better. I did not feel rushed or pressured to decide on a dress. After discussing my dress preferences and reviewing the pictures I had sent them ahead of time- they only brought in dresses that they knew I liked, which was a huge time and stress saver. That alone made the decision so much easier, because I did not second guess anything. The employees were patient as I tried on a number of dresses and offered ideas for how I could make small changes to the dress I already loved to make the PERFECT dress for me. Then, after we shed tears over the dress I said yes to- there were so many beautiful surprises that I was not expecting at all. To think I could not feel any more special, their well-thought out surprises just showed that they love their jobs and love seeing a bride-to-be as happy as possible and they aren’t there just to sell dresses. It truly felt like we celebrated in the Shop together longer than it took to find a dress, which was so amazing I cannot say enough about this beautiful experience. I was not expecting to find THE dress on my first day of wedding dress shopping, but thanks to the girls and owner at the Shop and the stress free environemnt I said Yes to the dress! The Shop and employees also adhered fabulously to their COVID guidelines. My two family members and I felt safe and respected the entire time. They allowed us time alone, so that we could take our masks off to take pictures of THE dress! For someone that does not like making decisions and especially BIG decisions, I would do this one again at POSH bridal, because it was just so so flawless. THANK YOU POSH BRIDAL! The girls there are SO SWEET and kind which really makes a difference when you are trying to make what feels like the biggest decision of your life. Janell Berte is the owner and designs some of the dresses in the store. I chose one of her designs and she was extremely flexible with any changes I wanted/needed. They have a wonderful event for brides who get a dress from their store called “Style on the Aisle” where you can pick out your veil, jewelry, shoes and do a trial hair/makeup. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 I needed to reschedule my wedding and finally after the 3rd reschedule, we decided to have a small backyard ceremony. I did not wear my original chosen dress however I still wore the cathedral veil and my jewelry from Posh which are now items I will cherish forever. Janell and her team were nothing but kind and understanding when it came to these tough decisions and I would highly recommend Posh Bridal not only based on their wonderful store but because they truly treat their brides well.

My bridal specialist, Bree, was the sweetest soul to work with! She instantly understood what I was looking for and to my complete surprise, the very first gown I tried on ended up being 'the one'. What followed was an experience I could have never imagined. The Posh Bridal team did so many special and unique things to celebrate me 'saying yes to the dress'. From popping champagne to practicing how I will walk down the aisle (complete with music), they made me feel like the most beautiful bride-to-be in the entire world! POSH Bridal had some beautiful gowns that are very different from what you see in other bridal salons. I really loved the dress I tried on that I brought in a picture of, as it was unique and beautiful. The biggest negative for me is that POSH Bridal does not allow you to take pictures of yourself in their dresses. They state that their designers requested this, as "they do not want other people seeing their work or other designers seeing their work, so it is not copied." This doesn't make a ton of sense to me, only because most of the designers' lines of wedding dresses that POSH Bridal carries can be found online, so pictures of them are readily available. I wanted to have my picture taken in the dress I loved, but was told that I could not for the above reason, which seemed very odd since I came in with a picture of that dress that I found on the internet. Having a picture of yourself and your shape in the exact dress is extremely helpful in comparing your favorite dresses from across different stores. I understand that they may not be able to change this, but I feel that this is a big detriment to POSH Bridal. Chaley was nice enough to offer to email me a picture of the dress; however, what she emailed me was the picture that I came in with and showed her at the beginning of the appointment. Overall, I thought POSH Bridal was a nice store with a good selection of dresses and my consultant, Chaley, was fantastic; however, I really do wish that they would reconsider not allowing brides to take photos in their dresses.

t overwhelming to me. The only thing that felt right was the idea of potentially wearing my mother’s dress but making a few updates to it. I didn’t realize how much I was going to enjoy the process of creating a custom dress by using my mother’s gown. Janell worked to dismantle original parts of the lace flowers to then hand wash them and reapply them in new areas. She Redesigned and added new sleeves, redesigned the back of the dress with netting and buttons, and added a thin layer of chiffon over top of my mother’s original bottom of the dress. It had all the qualities of elements I loved about my mother’s gown and then added a timeless update. It was the perfect blend of “something old” and “something new” that I know my mother and I will cherish forever. Thank you so much!

I got married in Lancaster city and Janell delivered my dress, veil and accessories the morning of my wedding all pressed and beautiful and ready to go! Another awesome thing Posh Bridal does is Style Down the Aisle - where brides whose wedding dresses have just been delivered get to come in and have their hair and makeup done real quick by a professional, then get to try on accessories with their own dress!! It was so much fun! Definitely highly recommend Posh!
