I got married at Crest Hollow Country Club on 9/9/16. Up until my wedding day, I thought the owners were professional. They were prompt and handled the contract in an organized and timely fashion. Had anyone asked me then, I would have gladly ...sang their praises. Unfortunately, my opinion changed after our wedding.
We had a loose theme of Hollywood red carpet and asked for a red carpet, stanchions, and a gold sequin backdrop to go with the wedding decor. Minutes before our reception started, we were shown our room, only to find out there was no red carpet, stanchions, and there was a silvery/purple backdrop that had nothing to do with anything set up with the booth. Apparently, the gold backdrop I had asked for had gotten ripped, and I wasn't made aware. The red carpet and stanchions had supposedly went to another location. Luckily, the wonderful team at Crest Hollow had a red carpet and velvet ropes laying around that they allowed us to use.
The owner did apologize, but proceeded to tell me that "the most important part" was that things ran smoothly and the pictures came out fantastic. Sure, but in my opinion, if I didn't get anything that was asked for and agreed upon in the contract, I shouldn't have been expected to pay the full price for things I didn't receive. What's most important is whether or not your customers are satisfied, which I was not. I didn't make a thing out of it at the time because it was my wedding day and I had enough stress leading up to it, but I was truly disappointed in the lack of customer service provided after this error.
