About this vendor
Welcome to The Pump House—an artistic, nature-filled wedding venue tucked away on 85 private acres in the Pennsylvania woods. Here, love is celebrated in slow moments, starry skies, and creative spaces filled with meaning.
Imagine arriving on a Friday to your own forested retreat. Your closest friends and family settle into handmade cabins, tiny houses, and cottages. Laughter echoes between trees. The creek glistens nearby. You have the weekend to breathe, connect, and celebrate. At The Pump House, weddings aren’t rushed—they’re rooted.
Our venue blends rustic textures, reclaimed materials, and industrial beauty, all shaped by the hands of artists. With two unique indoor spaces—Brick Hall and Studio Hall—and countless outdoor ceremony locations under the trees or beside the water, your wedding can reflect your exact vision, from elegant to eclectic.
We specialize in full-weekend weddings, with lodging for up to 30 guests onsite. The Manifold House, a converted historic valve control room, is now our honeymoon suite—a romantic, window-filled cottage with a handmade tile shower and woodstove. Nearby, the Alden River House offers even more room for friends and family, just a short walk away. Breakfast is available each morning—homemade, seasonal, and served with love.
Couples choose The Pump House for many reasons: the privacy, the natural beauty, the flexible vendor policy, the warm and welcoming team. But they return, again and again, for how it feels. It’s hard to describe until you’re here. There’s a stillness that settles in the woods. A magic in the filtered light. A sense that this place remembers every wedding it has ever hosted—and holds space for yours, too.
Whether you’re planning an intimate micro-wedding, a romantic elopement, or a joyful full-weekend celebration, we provide the canvas for your vision. Guests can explore forest trails, gather around the fire pit, or sit beside the Catawissa Creek. You can dance beneath market lights, toast under the stars, and sleep surrounded by trees.
We’re proud to be a sustainable wedding venue—offering recycling, reusable dishware, and support for low-impact celebrations. Our team is small but mighty, and we’re deeply involved in every part of your experience.
When you book The Pump House, you’re not just getting a venue. You’re getting a team of people who care. You’re getting an escape from the noise. You’re getting a place where art, nature, and love come together—a place that truly feels like home.
Let’s walk the land together. Schedule a tour today, and let the story of your wedding begin.

A fairytale nestled away in the outskirts of Bloomsburg. I never had it planned to get married here. But last minute, low and behold, we found this venue and instantly connected wi...
th Lisa and Doug. I think the magic of the property itself aside, it's the owners who make this experience worthwhile. Doug's artwork is everywhere on the property. Their natural landscaping approach makes it feel like you're in an untouched place. My now husband and I could not have been happier with our experience. Our quiet walks along the Catawissa Creek and through the fruit trees before and after the wedding allowed us a sense of peace, which carried us through the seemingly "stressful" moments (truly no such thing when you're so calm at this place). Lisa and Doug were so helpful in assisting us with finding the perfect vendors. Every guest loved staying in the rooms and eating the breakfast (you can both open a restaurant with THAT breakfast! we miss the bacon!).
I think one of the beautiful things about a venue like this is that its somewhere you want to come back to. With their rooms also on airbnb, Steve and I are excited to celebrate potentially future anniversaries at the Pump House.
You won't regret getting married with the background noise of the creek behind you, or the birds chirping, and the sometimes eerily softness and quietness of the woods. They have many resources and things to help you through your day, and will help you with anything you need.
Thank you, Lisa and Doug! We are touched by your generosity and can not wait to come back.
The Pump House B&B is where our wedding day straight out of a fairytale took place. The guests were in absolute awe of the venue and kept asking where we found such a magical locat...
ion. No one had ever been to a location so beautiful. The venue is tucked inside of the woods surrounded by a peaceful stream, all of which is highlighted by Doug's artwork. You can literally feel the love and joy that resides here and within the owners, Doug and Lisa, the minute you set foot on site. The owners were always within reach if you needed something, but made sure that you felt that the Pump House was your home for the weekend. The breakfast cooked by Lisa was out of this world and was a great way to reconnect all the members of the wedding together each morning. The venue speaks for itself and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I can only imagine it will do the same for you!
I had stayed at Pump House B&B over the summer for a wedding, while the ground’s themselves were beautiful, the room we stayed in for the duration of the weekend were full of cobwe...
bs, spiders and a damp smell. The food the B&B provided was mediocre at best. The ceremony & reception hall was gorgeous, yet for a summer wedding very hot (no AC). As for the owners, they were rude, unwelcoming & overall conceded and stuck up. The atmosphere when they were around was tense and univiting. I would not recommend Pump House B&B for any occasion.
From the initial visit to the day after breakfast, the owners Doug and Lisa were nothing short of amazing. The venue allows you to choose whichever vendors you'd like, and totally ...
allows the freedom to create whatever atmosphere you're looking for. The space is so unique and we really loved all the artistic touches that were present throughout the ceremony space, reception hall, on-site accommodations, and even the off-site Airbnb. Doug and Lisa were the reassuring and calming presence that was definitely needed during the stressful time of wedding planning. I would absolutely recommend this venue!
We cannot speak highly enough of this venue. They made our wedding into a fairytale. Everything about working with them was a dream.
First of all the venue itself is gorgeous. ...
We especially loved the ceremony site- it was magical.
Second, it is so much fun to have your bridal party stay onsite with you. Our friends loved the accommodations and we had just the best time spending the day together Friday and Saturday in the woods. FYI, cell reception is not great, which we actually loved because no one was distracted by work emails or social media, we all just got to spend time together.
Third, the food the team cooks for breakfast is just the best. It was seriously so delicious.
Fourth, and maybe the best part is: Doug and Lisa. They are incredibly nice and made things so stress free for us. They answered all our questions throughout the process quickly and made sure we had all we needed. Once we were there though, they were just absolutely the best. They seemed to anticipate our every need and went above and beyond. For example, my maid of honor forgot to get cash out to pay for hair and make up. She was about to send a groomsmen into town to take out cash for her and Lisa immediately said no don’t worry about that and had my maid of honor Venmo her and gave her the cash. Another example, my brother in law spilled some red wine on his shirt during the rehearsal dinner and was planning on wearing it again to the wedding. He was in the corner apparently quietly panicking and trying to get the stain out. Lisa came over and told him not to worry, she took the shirt and got the stain out for him, washed and dried it for him so he could wear it the next day— just above and beyond !!!
We absolutely love the pump house and can’t recommend it enough. It will make your wedding the most magical, perfect event.
Just like the first time we met, the first time we stepped foot onto the property of The Pump House, we knew that this was it. Doug and Lisa have worked so hard and have put so mu...
ch passion and love into this incredible spot tucked down in the woods. From the beautiful property, creative and unique art pieces, and the handpicked apple/pear cobbler at breakfast, they were a huge part in making our wedding weekend perfect. The Pump House is so unique and full of love, we felt it instantly on our first visit. The property is full of passion and warmth that can be felt in the details throughout the cabins and the rest of the property. The staff exudes kindness and projects it to all guests and couples throughout the whole weekend. We were so proud to have the feedback from our guests about the venue and we continue to hear all the good things about our weekend from our guests. Positive comments about the food, the services, and the relaxed atmosphere are still pouring in. I really have no idea how to really put into words how amazing our whole weekend was there and I know there are a ton of things I'm missing in this review. They were incredible from start to finish during the entire planning process of our wedding. We have zero regrets and hope to return to the property for a love getaway in the future.
The owners are amazing! They made us and all our guests feel right at home the entire time, allowing us to make the day our own! Friends and family throughly enjoyed the setting an...

A truly magical estate/venue!
My husband and friends stayed here for a wedding that we were in for our best friend. The wedding itself was beautiful, but that was the work of the brides family making it that wa...
y. Everything else was disgusting. Our room in the blue house was dirty and had the worst musty smell. We stayed there with another couple and it was $190 per night! Not even worth half that! The other couples stayed in a room connected to ours that was half the size but same price. When we arrived we had no idea where to go, because there is no sign or office. There was no check in. We were lucky that we found the bride and she told us where to go. Our room smelled horrible and was dusty and dirty. Bugs everywhere (which is expected for the woods) but there was remnants of bug guts all over the walls from previous people killing them. There were strider webs and dust hanging from the lamps and dust bunnies under our bed. We couldn't find the owner to complain during our stay about not getting fresh towels for the shower or fresh smelling sheets. I wore shoes all day until arriving and walked around our room, then realized my feet were black from the dirty floor and rugs. We were afraid to sleep under the covers so we ended up sleeping on the bath towels on top of the bed. Worst night sleep I've ever gotten (2 hours) I'm so confused by people's reviews saying the hospitality was great Because the only time I ever saw staff was during the sub-par breakfast. It was a fun weekend for our friends wedding but we are so Very disappointed in this site and we feel so taken advantage of by these unfair prices. What did we pay for? Dirt. Do not be fooled by these pictures, the b&b is overgrown, dirty and swarming with spiders. Horrible!!
Every moment of our wedding weekend was perfect! Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue. We loved soaking in all the details from the creek side ceremony, the beautiful ...
brick hall, to the rooms that are chalked full of character. It’s been so much fun to get back our pictures. Thank you Doug & Lisa!
The Pump House was a dream venue. The grounds, rooms, breakfast and staff were wonderful! We loved every minute of our wedding weekend ❤️
Pump House provided the space for our dream wedding. The historic buildings, enchanted woods, and beautiful rooms provided the backdrop for an incredible day. If you're looking fo...
r a unique place that is fully customizeable, you have to see this venue.
I loved the flexibility of this venue--being able to drop off things early in the week and set up over several days. We brought a ton of antiques and furniture (not necessary, but I had a vision!) and the staff was completely accommodating. Also, the ability to fully customize our wedding was great. We were able to bring in any vendors we wished, without being limited to specific or preferred vendors. Doug and Marika are so warm and inviting, and the manager, Lisa, is incredible at accommodating requests and relieving stress.
My guests can't stop talking about our wedding and many have told me it's the best they've ever attended. The space is so friendly, with so many places to enjoy your company and also places to slip away for privacy. We had rehearsal dinner in the studio prepared by our family, got married by the creek in the woods, had lawn games for the cocktail hour and the reception in the brick barn, then moved back to the woods for a bonfire and live band. To top it off, breakfast is served behind the the owners' home and is incredibly delicious. (Doug makes an amazing smoothie and the homemade breads and omelettes were incredible!)
This place offers the ultimate wedding weekend!
The Pump House B&B was a wonderful venue, it is unique in that you get the grounds for the whole weekend, which is essential to a no stress weekend. The whole staff was very helpfu...
l and kind. It is wonderful to have enough space for the wedding party to stay on site, and to have breakfast taken care of each day. Doug has done a wonderful job decorating everything with his unique artwork, and the beautiful flora lends itself to a very lush green backdrop for pictures and/or the ceremony. All my other vendors loved working with them!
We got married here on 11/8/15. It is absolutely amazing. Everything from the scenery, to the beautiful rooms, lovable cats, the owners Doug and Marika, manager April, just everyth...
ing was perfect. I decided a day before the wedding that I should have booked a videographer and took a long shot and asked April if she happened to know anyone in our budget that could be free and low and behold the night before at 11 pm she got us one! Everyone there helped us with everything we needed along the way. They really are great people running this place and I would recommend it for any event or even just a nice quiet getaway in a gorgeous place. We live 3 hours away and that will definitely not stop us from returning often.
The Pump House B&B was the perfect location for our wedding. We had looked all over central PA for an outdoor venue that was tucked away in the woods, away from noise and traffic; ...
when we arrived at the property we absolutely knew that it was THE place to get married.
The owners were a pleasure to work with--very responsive to emails, patient and accommodating with our requests to frequently visit the B&B to scout out spots for decorations, table/chair set up, etc.
We had many guests flying in from all over the US and they were able to stay in the B&B with us, making it a comfortable and relaxing weekend for them. All paying guests were given a home-cooked breakfast in the morning. The meals were absolutely fantastic, very delicious, high quality food! The owners allowed us to have a campfire, cook smores, set up lawn games the night after the wedding--all our friends and family had so much fun; it was our wedding, but it was almost like a mini-vacation for them.
You are able to utilize the entire property for the weekend; there's two buildings available for the reception site/cocktail hour/dance floor. The large brick barn is rustic and has so much character. It fit our 110+ guests comfortably and with plenty of room for dancing.
It was the perfect site for our dream wedding--outdoors amongst the trees, fresh air, small streams and surrounded by our loved ones.
Doug and Marika (owners) were helpful and very flexible with us. The Pump House houses Doug's art studio, and displays his artworks in all the buildings on the site. The site was w...
onderful for what we were looking for, it was secluded and we had the entire site for the whole weekend. I would definitely recommend the Pump House Bed& Breakfast for events, and I plan to go back to utilize the bed and breakfast sometime myself.
