I am very disappointed with the type of service Nicole provided. I had 6 months to plan a wedding so I chose to get the full service. She lacks organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. It was hard to rely on Nicole to get things p...roperly done. At every turn, my fiance and I had to put out so many fires. I was more successful communicating with the vendors myself and getting things accomplished. For example, one week before the wedding, we found out we could not have our rehearsal at the event space and that we would need an alternative place to rehearse. When I voiced my concern and my desire to have it at the venue, she said she was doing her best. She also told us that details are usually finalized a month before the wedding date. To this point, I asked 'why was this not shared with us a month ago?' She never took accountability for her wrongs. Fortunately, once I spoke directly to the vendor, he worked with us and we had our rehearsal at the venue. Also, my marriage license did not get signed the day of the ceremony because Nicole did not ask for the license. The DJ even expressed concern due to mixed messages because he knew what I wanted and Nicole was doing opposite of that. She did not cue important events to the DJ, like cutting of the cake. When I received my extra invitations a few days before the wedding, I saw firsthand how Nicole did not properly assemble the invitation suite, taping the velvet band to the back of the invitation, opposite of the template shown to us when we met with the stationery company. Nicole's services include distributing final payments and gratuities as needed. She does not do this nor did she discuss gratuities with me. I provided her with specifics for the ceremony procession and my honorary bridesmaids did not enter in the correct order nor were they seated as I instructed. She says that she ensures everything runs smoothly and that is false based on my personal experience. Despite all of these mishaps, she somehow found time to line dance during the reception. I had lost all confidence in her ability to effectively manage my wedding day. A few days prior, she texted and said her assistant would be unable to attend. I adamantly expressed my dissatisfaction with her not having an assistant. The day of rehearsal, to my surprise and delight, a very professional planner was present to 'assist' although it was very evident that this lady was a true professional and leader.
Also, communication and proper planning is not Nicole's strength. At one point, my calls to her went straight to voicemail, she would not respond to texts, and would not answer my fiance's call. That same day, I had my trainer call within a 30 minute turnaround of this occurrence and she answered the phone. Wow! She was the incompetent one yet had the problem. My vendors even expressed their concerns and were very sad for me.
My wedding was on New Year's Eve. Of course Christmas is a week prior so if you are going to be out of pocket for 4 days, that should have been something communicated in advance rather than the day before.
The unfortunate thing, she did not apologize once for her any mistakes and oversights.
She does not provide the services she guarantees. She is flighty and airy, not structured. Definitely a disappointment. I will be filing a suit. That's how dissatisfied I am.
