Rachel Behar Events was born out of Rachel’s passion for bringing people together. Her love for planning started a long time ago, well before she knew she’d take on city life in the Big Apple. From planning family dinners when she was just eight-years-old to starting an AIDS Awareness Club in high school, you could say it was destiny that led her to start an event planning company. Magic happens when people gather together; this is the motive that drives her.
Rachel comes with more than just a passion for event planning. She is a seasoned professional who has over 12 years of social and corporate experience. Rachel and Lizzie are absolutely phenomenal event planners! I cannot recommend them enough to anyone planning an event—whether it's an intimate gathering or a full-scale wedding weekend. From the very beginning, they were a dream to work with: incredibly responsive (we’re talking replies within minutes!), endlessly patient, and completely on top of every single detail.
Their communication is next-level, their timelines are laser-precise, and their organization skills are unmatched. Not only that, but they’re both genuinely delightful humans who bring a calm, positive, can-do energy to everything they touch.
Our wedding was a destination celebration on an island that came with a whole set of unique challenges—limited resources, tricky logistics, and curveballs at every turn—but Rachel and Lizzie handled it all with grace, creativity, and total confidence. Choosing Lizzie and RBE to plan our wedding with us was without a doubt the best decision of our entire wedding process!!! I speak for my husband and both our families when I say it was truly a joy to work with Lizzie from start to finish. I still don’t know how she managed to make both the exhaustive months of planning and the countless day of coordination efforts so organized and seemingly effortless… but she did! It was the greatest day/night of our lives and absolutely perfect in every way — it really is all thanks to Lizzie and RBE!!!
My husband & I worked with Lizzie / RBE to plan two separate wedding ceremonies: a small intimate church ceremony and an almost 200-person ceremony & reception at a large NYC venue two days later. They had very different needs and priorities, and Lizzie handled both with professionalism, perfection, and care. I'm a very type-A planner myself, and Lizzie matched my energy from day one with her organized spreadsheets, monthly to-do lists and check-ins, and impeccable attention to detail.
Lizzie consistently went above and beyond for us -- no request was out of the question. She even worked directly with our families to execute a surprise cake, which was one of the highlights of our entire weekend! On wedding day, she made us feel calm, supported, and taken care of, always reminding us to stay present and enjoy the moment for ourselves (which we could do because we knew that everything would be handled!). Thanks to the RBE team, our wedding was executed flawlessly and turned out even better than we expected.
On a personal level, Lizzie is caring, thoughtful, positive, friendly, and kind hearted. She got to know our families and cared about making the day special for them as well.

Hiring Rachel was without a doubt the BEST decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. I truly don’t know how anyone plans a wedding without her. I knew from the minute we met that she was exactly what we needed. Rachel made everything feel seamless, stress-free, and even fun. She was always ten steps ahead, thinking through every detail, offering solutions before problems even arose, and ensuring our day was absolutely perfect. We were so blown away by how incredible she was during the wedding planning process that we hired her to help with the rehearsal dinner as well! Having Rachel involved made us feel so confident in what we were doing, knowing her and her team had it handled.
Beyond her impeccable organization, Rachel's relationships with her vendors made all the difference. Rachel and the RBE team truly did the most amazing job with planning and managing our wedding weekend. From the rehearsal dinner to the afterparty, Rachel and the team helped us determine our vision, find unique elements that made the events really our own, and executed it all flawlessly. Over 16 months of working together, Rachel found us amazing vendors that I feel so honored to have worked with and helped us shape our vision from scattered pinterest and instagram photos to a fully executable plan with color schemes, flower preferences, and lighting design. She understood what was important to us and made sure that we felt comfortable with every decision. I loved how much we were able to collaborate and brainstorm together -- Rachel was always happy to indulge my latest idea or interview a new vendor I wanted to consider.
My biggest fear with wedding planning was that I wouldn't be able to actually enjoy all of the events. Rachel completely stuck to her promise that my husband and I would feel like guests at our own wedding. I wholeheartedly trusted the RBE team to make the right judgement calls and handle any situation that might arise -- so much so that I have no idea if anything actually happened!
It's hard to believe that I won't be on regular texting / emailing / google meeting communications with Rachel and the team, but I know they are hard at work providing the same personalized and dedicated guidance to future couples. Anyone would be lucky to work with this team!
I don't even know where to start - but what I'll say is that our dream wedding would not have been possible without the RBE team. I'm a pretty type A person, and initially doubted whether I even needed a planner. But looking back on everything that went into planning my wedding, I know I could not have done it without Lizzie and Rachel. Lizzie was by our side since the beginning, helping me (not a creative person) bring my creative vision to life, and taking all the work - that really started to pile up at the end - off my plate. Wedding planning is an incredibly stressful process, but the organization, industry knowledge, and most of all, calm/friendly/positive demeanor that Lizzie always had allowed me to push past the stress and enjoy the time for what it was. She was always accessible when we had questions and gave us the honest advice we often needed. I always felt like her priority was making our wedding as amazing as possible.
Meanwhile, Rachel supported us on our actual wedding day, and I can't express how helpful and calming her presence was. My only regret is not having her there at my rehearsal dinner! I was able to fully focus on being present for my special day because I was confident I could trust her to get everything done on time and extremely well, and she delivered! My friends were truly astounded at how smoothly and timely the whole day went. Rach, you made sure everything went off without a hitch, with a positive attitude the entire time.
Simply put, the RBE team are kind, supportive, organized, understanding, talented, and really, truly there for you. They feel more like friends than vendors, but manage to balance that with hard work that you can see the results of. You can trust that they will do everything in their power to make your day perfect. I couldn't recommend them enough!!
Lizzie jumped in as our wedding planner midway through the planning process and didn’t miss a beat! She made every part of the process so seamless. She really took the time to get to know us and our style/preferences and recommended vendors that fit our needs perfectly. Every request was met with a positive attitude and a willingness to make anything work.
It was so nice to have a roadmap and to be able to focus on the big picture, knowing that all of the little details were being taken care of. The day of our wedding was totally stress-free and executed perfectly so that we were able to enjoy our time with loved ones. We didn’t even find out until after the event that our pizza order for the after-party had been cancelled! Lizzie somehow made sure it still showed up as expected.

Working with Lizzie at RBE was the best decision we made when planning our daughter’s wedding. She brought a level of expertise to the process which was more than we ever expected. She used a worksheet which was a part of an extremely well organized and streamlined RBE tracking system for everything from vendors, budgeting and payments, guests, timeline, photos, seating, stationery and more!
The quality of the vendors they work with is beyond par and she was able to match us with vendors that suited our vision for the wedding. They have established great relationships with vendors and are able to handle any challenges that arise.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Lizzie & Rachel Behar Events to plan our wedding. From the very beginning, Lizzie helped us navigate the planning process with professional precision, while also maintaining a commitment to our vision for the wedding weekend. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Lizzie went above and beyond to make sure we were on task & ahead of schedule on every detail, with as few logistical obstacles as possible. She made herself available to us as often as we needed, and even generously offered to pick up our day-of items the week before the wedding to ensure our check-in process would be smooth and easy.
On our wedding day, we had total confidence in Lizzie and the RBE team to handle all the logistics and coordination, allowing us to be completely in the moment with each other and all of our loved ones. Lizzie was a huge help with organizing the room blocks. Rachel and her team genuinely cared about us and our families. She made sure there was reserved seating in the first few rows for our loved ones to have a close up view of our ceremony. Rachel and her team allowed myself, my husband, and our families to genuinely enjoy our wedding day and not have to worry about anything!

Rachel and her associates took the stress out of wedding planning and helped make our special day exactly what we were hoping for. From the start, Rachel understood our vision for the day and was cognizant that we were on a budget. We were going for something fun, colorful and funky. We knew the venue we wanted and Rachel was there to ask the right questions and to make sure it was the perfect spot for us. She quickly found outstanding DJs and photographers to choose from. In a matter of just a few weeks we had all the major vendors secured (venue, flowers, DJ, photographer). Not to mention, Rachel is based in NYC but was able to source all of our Michigan vendors with her research and ability to connect with EVERYONE.
While all the big items were outstanding, where Rachel really shined was on the details. Rachel kept us organized and timely in all aspects of planning utilizing a variety of tools including an amazing spread sheet. Putting together guest lists, sending invitations, finalizing seating charts, etc. She also thought of so many little touches to make the wedding special like having the perfect escort cards, place cards, ideas for the guest book menus, etc.
So many people in our lives warned us that on the day of your wedding some things will go wrong and that the wedding is for the guests to have fun rather than yourself. We can honestly say that wasn’t our experience at all. When things came up like a likelihood of rain for a partially outdoor wedding, we never felt stressed knowing we were in Rachel’s hands. We can’t think of a single thing that went wrong on the day of the wedding and we had a complete blast. The day of support from RBE associates was outstanding. We didn’t assume the wedding would be one of the best days of our lives, but that ended up being the case in large part due to Rachel’s vision, talent, work ethic and support.

We can’t recommend Rachel and her team enough!!! We worked with RBE for about a year to plan our wedding and from start to finish, they were a dream to work with. When our friends and family asked us why we weren’t stressed at ANY phase of the process, we pointed to Rachel (and her spreadsheets/checklists :)). This was true for big details - when our after party venue closed down just a couple of weeks before our wedding date, within a day Rachel had sent us multiple amazing options. Or for small details - on the wedding day I thought we had misplaced my mom’s comfy shoes but Rachel’s team had already put them under her chair. This captures what working with Rachel is like - she has solved the problem before you even realize there was one.
Her relationships and communication with vendors was also integral to putting together a team that we were so excited to work with and seemed equally excited to work with us, in no small part due to their existing relationship with Rachel. She also quickly created relationships with new vendors that we introduced into the planning process. It is clear that whoever she engages with, she is professional, respectful, and a joy to work with.
Most of all, we felt listened to and that Rachel was advocating for what we really wanted every step of the way, from initial planning through every moment of the wedding weekend - and this was true for every single member of the RBE team we worked with. We weren’t a couple that came in with very distinct ideas about what we wanted our wedding to look like. Rachel took our vague ideas and incorporated them into an overall cohesive design and plan for the weekend that was SO us, integrating our cultures and personalities into every detail. She was available, super responsive, and flexible. Overall, the RBE team are a dream to work with and because of them, our wedding was better than we could have ever imagined!!
Rachel, Lizzie and the team are rockstars and were truly a joy to work with. We didn’t know what to expect going into the wedding planning experience since we’d never planned a wedding or seen the party format/experience we hoped for, but were at ease with and impressed by RBE’s guidance. From our first conversation RBE were open to our ideas, reassuring, unflappable, yes people, and didn’t try to box us in.
RBE delivered on their word, managed expectations/timelines/personalities, were detail oriented, brought our visions to life, exceeded expectations and became friends in the process. Additionally, they helped curate the vendors we worked with, and surrounded us with a team that was similarly enjoyable, detail-oriented, and got things done.
We couldn’t have left working together with a more positive experience or sing their praises enough. They’re the best.
Where do I begin with Rachel and her team? We hired Rachel after meeting with 6-7 other event planners, and knew immediately she was for us because of her "yes" attitude. The wedding planning process is daunting - she was truly our compass, and never made us feel anything was out of reach (even though we had a budget and short engagement of 6 months). Working with Rachel is like working with the world's best project manager with incredible connections and relationships and great taste. She managed timelines, budgets, expectations, and familial dynamics with such professionalism and tact. We LOVED working with her, and could not recommend her and her team more highly.
Rachel is a superstar! I cannot recommend Rachel and her team more highly. Throughout the planning process, Rachel was professional, inventive, and efficient. She kept everything perfectly on track while somehow keeping me calm, stress-free, and assured that nothing would slip through the cracks. On the wedding day, there was a moment when I was surrounded by Rachel and her team, plus my wonderful makeup artist, florist, and photographer, and I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for this absolute dream team of women bringing my dreams to life. Rachel is truly capable of making magic happen.
There are no words to describe how truly unreal Rachel and Lizzie are as a planning team. From day one, I felt completely supported and as if I was the only bride/wedding that they were handling (even though I knew there were a lot!)
From suggesting vendors, to project managing, to giving advice on decor, and SO much more, I couldn't recommend a better team. Not to mention, they are incredibly calm and really help to make you feel like they have everything under control, which they 100% do!

Working with Rachel Behar Events was, without a doubt, the best decision we made when it came to wedding planning.
In terms of the actual planning and logistics of the big day, I LOVED how she organized and tracked all of the details, from the budget, to guest list, to vendors, to schedules, etc. Her system made everything clear and manageable for us. As one might imagine, there are an insurmountable number of tasks and decisions that need to be made for a wedding but her organizational system and timetables kept everything approachable and even fun. She is also incredibly quick to respond to emails/texts - no matter how small the question. On top of that, she has excellent relationships with the best vendors in the NYC-area and as such, we were able to have the most magical, unique and personalized wedding. That is a testament to how much she cares for each of her clients and how she goes above and beyond to ensure that the wedding is a true reflection of the couples’ wishes and personalities.
Aside from her process, Rachel is truly one of the warmest, most patient and kindest people. She listens with openness and is an amazing problem-solver. I left all of our calls and meetings with her feeling calm and free of stress -- she has an unique ability to quell those anxious feelings. The larger RBE team is equally fantastic and attentive, and I was especially thankful of their positive energy and quick actions on the day of which minimized the chaos. My husband and I are so appreciative that we could enjoy our day with minimal stress, as the entire RBE team managed every single detail of the day, especially those unexpected moments.
Truly, I cannot say enough good things about Rachel and her team. I already want to work with her again for our 10-year anniversary (joking, but only kind of).
I cannot begin to explain how wonderful Rachel Behar and her team are. I came to Rachel after my first planner ghosted me. I had my venue and caterer booked, both of which Rachel knew well, which was helpful. Rachel's network of quality vendors is impressive. My now husband and I got engaged six months before our wedding date, and at no point did I ever feel that I was settling with a vendor due to lack of options. In addition, she and her team took on a lot of communication with my vendors on my behalf, lightening my load of things I needed to figure out for our wedding.
In addition to her amazing resources, Rachel and her team are extremely organized and provided a lot of structure (Google docs, 'one month to do's', etc) in the planning process. She and her team were also always available to answer any questions I had throughout the planning process, and were very helpful with their recommendations on items I needed to source for the wedding (via Etsy, Amazon, etc). There wasn't a question I had that Rachel didn't have an answer for.
Sadly, I lost my father to cancer two months before my wedding. Rachel and her team were the first ones to send flowers with their condolences, and Rachel reached out saying she was there for anything I needed- a break from planning, a 'to do' list to work on to serve as a welcomed distraction, anything. Words cannot express how much my family and I appreciated her support during such a trying time.
Lastly, Rachel and her team excel at taking on a challenge. In addition to our short timeline to plan, I wanted to have a Persian wedding- with it's own unique ceremony & traditions. Even though she had never planned a Persian wedding before, she and her team rose to the challenge, and she helped source wonderful vendors (even finding a Persian officiant all the was from Paris, France!) for our big day.
I can wholeheartedly say that our wedding day was as wonderful as it was because of Rachel Behar Events <3
Rachel Behar Events was the BEST decision we could have ever made for our wedding, hands down. We sincerely could not have done any of it without Rachel and her team. She helped with every single decision, from big to small, during the process by clearly laying out various options based on our budget and interests. Each and every moment of working with Rachel during our two year engagement was perfect. How can I begin to talk about how incredible Rachel is?? From the minute we hired RBE, my husband and I (and our families) felt like we were in the best hands. The vendors she connected us with were all fantastic, and she was on board to help us realize our big, bold, colorful vision. We never felt stressed or anxious about ANYTHING, and I was able to fully enjoy my wedding day (8/26/23). Also - Rachel did a great job of managing all the big personalities in my family, and we're already trying to think of what our next big event will be so we can hire her and her team again.
I literally don’t know how anyone gets married without Rachel!!! From the very start of our planning process, she made everything feel so natural, fun, and seamless. Rachel was always available to answer questions, provide an expert opinion when asked, and quell concerns, no matter how silly my questions felt sometimes! I trusted her implicitly from the beginning because of how honest, responsive, and genuine she always was. On our wedding day, Rachel and her team were unbelievable. They had the best energy that was both calm and fun - and they had TRULY any item you could ever ask for in a pinch (breath mint, scissors to cut a rogue string on a bridesmaids dress, etc). Everyone in our family and wedding party was beyond impressed and we had multiple comments about how amazing our planner was - Nick and I of course already knew how incredible Rachel was by then :) We absolutely LOVED working with Rachel and I am truly going to miss chatting with her all the time now that our wedding is over!! I can’t say enough good things about Rachel and her team - they made our dream wedding come to life and it was better than we could have even imagined!!! From the very beginning, Rachel asked all the right questions to get to know us and our style and she helped us pick vendors that fit exactly what we wanted. She was always so patient with us and never pressured us into making any decisions that we didn’t want, always reminding us that it was our wedding and we could pretty much do it however we wanted! I asked for her opinion many times along the way, for everything from style to logistics, and she always gave us honest answers to help us make the best decisions for our wedding. Rachel and her team really shined when it was finally time for our wedding weekend - all of our guests stayed on site for the weekend and Rachel and her team were there the whole time. When I say that everything went perfectly… WOW!! It was true magic. She made sure that we didn’t need to lift a finger or worry about anything so that we could enjoy every moment of it. It was the best weekend of our lives and if I did it all over, I would 100000% work with Rachel again.

We started working with Rachel and her team just over a year before our wedding and it was the best decisions we made. After initially being hesitant about hiring a wedding planner, I know now that it was needed and the perfect decision for us! Rachel is amazing and was so helpful throughout the day from just chatting like it was a normal day (which I needed) to helping us remember to eat, hydrate, and reapply lipstick! We couldn't have done it without her!! Throughout the day and leading up to the day, we knew everything was taken care of because we had Rachel on our team. Our parents felt as calm as possible because they knew Rachel was there. Rachel worked with our venue and all of our vendors effortlessly to create a beautiful and intimate wedding. From day 1 of planning to day 365, Rachel recommended amazing vendors and coordinated so many details behind the scenes that EVERYTHING was thought and taken care of.

Our wedding was full of complexities given the 200+ headcount, our desire to blend religious traditions, and an unconventional venue with multiple different spaces, but Rachel approached everything with an open mind and helped us work through countless details to ensure it would be the perfect day. From the beginning, she was highly responsive and incredibly organized - it was hard to believe she was planning multiple other weddings at the same time!
On the morning of our wedding, we had to completely change the layout of the wedding due to rain, and Rachel and her team coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure that every detail was taken care of. Despite the stress of having to switch to our rain plan, Rachel was such a calming presence throughout the whole day. Once the wedding started, it was clear that she had everything under control, which allowed us to really live in the moment and know that we were in the best hands.

We had a very atypical wedding that required a lot of thought, sensitivity, logistics, and creativity. Plus, as a Type-A, creative person, I had a lot of ideas that Rachel totally embraced and made happen. Two different bands playing harmoniously together? Not only was it not a problem, Rachel knew the most talented team to make it a seamless musical experience that had the dance floor(s) going all night. My amateur sketch of wild flowers hanging from the ceiling turned into the most enchanting wedding decor? She knew the best people to execute it (and beyond!) that literally had us and our guests feel like we were living in a dream. A USPS mailbox brought in for our guestbook activation? She not only sourced it, she literally went and picked it up herself.
It is also worth mentioning that Rachel is probably one of the nicest, loveliest people you will ever meet. She is so responsive and so on top of things I often told her I couldn’t believe she was also planning other weddings at the same time—that is how attentive and cared for she makes you feel. And it isn’t just “feel”—she genuinely cares about the couples she works with, creating a bespoke wedding for them, and making sure their days go perfectly. Throughout the wedding planning process and day of, we felt so at ease because Rachel was always one step ahead of us and on top of every last detail.

From the first time Rachel and I spoke, I got such a good feeling from her, and also a clear sense for just how much care and effort RBE puts into each and every one their events. We knew the planning of our wedding was going to be a bit more involved and complex than most - we wanted to put on an 150-person, multi-tented wedding in the backyard of my childhood home. Rachel never once shied away from the many steps and hurdles that had to happen between the initial ideation and final execution.
If it's not already obvious from, well, every other review: Rachel is the ULTIMATE event planner. Smart, thoughtful, caring, detail-oriented, organized (this was key for me), super creative, a much-needed calming presence when things got crazy... all of it applies! And her team members who were with us day-of - Brette and Anabel - were so lovely and helpful in their own right.
Rachel's industry connections are a huge asset, made even better by her ability to really get at and understand precisely what we were looking for. We felt like all of the vendors she sourced for us were both the best at what they do AND the right people/companies to help realize our vision cohesively and expertly.

I planned my daughter’s Brooklyn, NY wedding from Miami, and with Rachel on the ground in NY, the entire process was seamless and ultimately resulted in the most extraordinary night of our families’ lives.
Rachel has amazing relationships with outstanding vendors, and she helped us assemble a team that delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the creative menu (Marcey Brownstein Caterer) to the magnificent florals (Ivie Joy), to site visits and venue suggestions for the entire weekend of events and right down to the Mr. Softee ice cream truck that showed up at the end of the wedding, Rachel always knew what to do and who to call and when.
