fect choice. Our guest loved that they could relax poolside or play golf during any downtime. Our weekend also was a sold out weekend but we felt like the only guest on the grounds. As for the venue for our wedding, it was everything my pinterest board wanted with string lights and romantic garden feels. Jackie did an amazing job suggesting ceremony and reception sites for our guest size. She answered my many of questions (and we had a few) and she went above and beyond the day of to make sure everything we asked for completed. We opted for a plated meal, whichw e know can be hard and we still have guest raving about the quality and presentation of the food.

o help. The property is gorgeous, we booked 2 nights there and enjoyed the time. Staff is polite and helpful, you won’t have to worry about anything with them. One thing, be careful with the Granada lawn for ceremony - it’s very beautiful but it was a little noisy there because the swimming pool is close. Didn’t interfere a lot tho! They also have a lot of ceremony venues for bigger or smaller company so you will definitely find something to your choice. Our reception room was Granada, too, and it was perfect for our small 30 people wedding. Overall, we are more thank happy with our wedding and express gratitude to Jennifer Guynn, her assistant Gina and all staff who helped us. That was terrific!

t according to plan. My original contact for the venue, Courtney, was awesome and very punctual about getting back to me! Once I got passed off to my second contact (for catering and everything beyond just booking) communication was a little more difficult. I got assigned Kathryn, and while everything came together day of my event, it was hard to get responses to emails without follow ups. I found the best way to communicate with her was to list every question as bullet points vs a few paragraphs and that seemed to get quicker responses (if anyone needs a tip in their planning process!). I understand that there are always weddings going on and they were all busy but sometimes a quick answer goes a long way in a brides mind! Like I said though I cannot say enough good things about how my event went the day of. We were supposed to have cider stocked in the bar as that's all my husband and I drink, but it didn't end up happening. Once one of the head waitresses found out she assured me they would hunt some down and stock it just for us! They ended up finding a case and made sure our glasses were full the whole night. They also served us our meals first so that we could eat and get up to greet our guests. Every tiny thing was so appreciated and I can't thank everyone at the RBI enough for making our big day so special!

resort is large yet feels super cozy and intimate. In addition they made us feel very special, Courtney and Adrian were both spectacular and went above and beyond to make sure that we had a fabulous wedding and that everything went just they way planned (and I have to admit we can be a tad picky and a bit demanding). Shabbat Dinner, Pool Party, "Tailagate" at the Bar, Ceremony and Reception all of it was perfect! We don't plan on getting married again ;) but we do plan on going back on every wedding anniversary to the Rancho. We just celebrated year #1 and going back was wonderful, we got to relive the memories and received top notch treatment. Everyone in the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary and stopped to say hello. I will say it again because it true, this place is the best and truly magical.

Another plus was being able to keep the party going in the bar after the reception. We loved having a built-in after party that, again, didn’t require transportation. She checked in with us during dinner and made us feel like we were in great hands.

Our Catering Services Manager, Adrian Dean, did everything in her power to make sure we had dinner outside on a rainy Memorial Day Weekend. RB Inn utilized a space on property that had never been used in this capacity and it was perfect. Thank you so much, Adrian! The team at RB Inn will go above and beyond to accommodate requests. A very special shout out to the banquet housemen who stayed calm through many location changes. The valet and bell staff were always eager to assist. The banquet team was exceptional, especially our captain and bartender. Thank you to RB Inn’s General Manager for allowing us to do something unique and truly memorable. You all played a part in our unforgettable wedding weekend.

! Secondly, the staff is incredible. Working with both Adrian and Courtney was great. Both were extremely responsive and always made time to answer any questions my wedding planner or I had. Adrian was extremely flexible when it came to meetings and you can tell everyone there truly cares about the guests including the banquet servers and captain the night of our wedding as well as all the bellman and valet who helped us cart everything down to the ballroom and our guestrooms. The ballroom looked fantastic and I couldn’t have asked for a better day! The food was also fantastic! Honestly, this place is such a gem and the service you get at the Rancho Bernardo Inn makes it even better! I would 100% recommend the RBI to anyone looking for the perfect place for their wedding!

It was such a pleasure working with the coordinator and she helped us with everything we needed. We asked a ton of questions, i felt bad but she was very accommodating. The place is beautiful!!! It had that classic feel we were wanting. We received a number of compliments from our guests about the ambiance of the venue saying it was by far the best wedding they have been to. I noticed there were two other brides besides myself there that day getting married and taking photos, but it is so big that I hardly noticed. The staff was overly friendly in the best way. My friends and family got pretty toasty and they were so accommodating and helpful when we returned. I can’t wait to return for our anniversary.

Because of the outstanding customer service, attention to details, excellent oversight and management by the entire staff at Rancho Bernardo Inn, we completely enjoyed this special celebration with our family, friends and guests. The best decision we made was to select Rancho Bernardo Inn as the venue for our daughters wedding reception! Highly recommend you strongly consider this beautiful resort for your special day! en a big turn around in staff. I got married at Rancho Bernardo Inn in September of 2017. When we first discovered this venue we fell in love! The grounds are beautiful, the Santiago Courtyard/ ballroom is gorgeous and we felt like celebrities from that day that we booked and every day after that we visited up until the wedding, which was 6 months. Finally our wedding weekend had arrived! All of our family was staying at the resort about 5 nights. Our guest arrived and immediately problems arose with their rooms. Most of our guest seemed to have complaints by day 2 before the wedding has even taken place. The unfortunate part was that our guest complaints were handled unprofessionally and with a rude attitude. I could go on and on with the problems that occurred over the weekend, but here are some major cons: - The room block for my guest was such a hassle - I felt like now that they have my money and won me over I was no longer of any importance to anyone at the resort. - My catering manager quit a month before my wedding and I was not notified. Eventually they assigned me a new catering manager who knew nothing about me or what I wanted. - My venue chairs were not the ones they originally showed me, they gave me ugly brownish / purple office looking chairs instead of the dark wood ivory cushion ones they presented earlier on. - My guest were unhappy with their rooms and with management - A/C was terrible in guest rooms and in Reception Ballroom - My highly recommended/ well known wedding planner had a bad experience on his end and will not be recommending the venue to his clients moving forward. - The wedding management that you communicated with along the whole process do not respond quickly. Pros: -The banquet staff for my wedding was very friendly and accommodating - The food was excellent and came out hot - All of the bellman are extremely helpful Final Review: I only give 2 stars because the grounds are pretty and my wedding was really amazing, but I can thank my vendors and guest for that. My initial catering manager experience was good even with the switch, both women were very helpful up until the weekend of.

Keep in mind, we had a VERY good wedding planner who made out dreams come true. 4) Very sweet wedding staff. I went to a wedding last year and requested a specific staff member to work our wedding. The set up crew is very efficient and you can tell they've done this before! now sadly, I have many negatives band it pains to say them, but you all should know before spending a pretty penny here. 1) Louise (our main point of contact) made our experience with the RBI much more difficicult than it needed to be. I'm giving 3 stars solely because of the bad experiences we had because of her. I'd probbably give 5 stars if it wasn't for her. So if they hire someone else, this place is actually very good, if you have the money to spend. 2) The day I first met Louise, she seemed to not be listening to me. She had a very vague question for everything I asked. I asked her about booking a large enough room for my girls and family to get ready in. She brushed off the question and told me I needed to book it myself as the date gets closer. HERE IS WHERE THE PROBLEMS STARTED... I booked this place in May 2016 for a June 2017 wedding. I get a call around December/January from a guest saying the inn was fully booked the wedding weekend. FULL BOOKED. Louise never contacted me, so I immediately called and asked about available rooms. Louise promised me a room that was spacious enough for my vendors and a least 7 girls to get ready. It took about a week, but I thought it all worked out. No. Flash forward to the friday before for check in, we get our room and it was a room literally on the opposite side of the property from where the wedding was and small. We had to get role away beds and it was cramped. I immediately talked to the reservations manager and Louise's boss. sincde they were fully booked, there was nothing they could do but get me a conference room with no bathroom and a roll away mirror. I wanted my dress to be put on in the room so I walked back. We were running late due to all the running around, so my grandma couldn't put on my dress. a big moment for a bride. Don't forget, they tried to make me pay $ for all this from their mistake, which i refused. 3) Louise took at least a week to respond to most emails. Thank god I had a planner and didn't need her much...but when I did she failed me. 4) she took PTO the weekend the wedding and wasn't taking phone calls. REALLY. Its like she saw this all coming. very odd. so venue without her = 5/5 with her 3/5 Otherwise, I loved the RBI and everyone else i worked with. If you decide to get married here, make sure to ask about the "day at the inn" Shoutout to Katie and Fran who tried their hardest to make the rought start to the wedding better. They are great and deserve 5 stars.

s well. This place is an amazing place to get married at but Louise will find a way to ruin your day. Whether it's promising you the Veranda Suit and then booking you a small one bed room for all five of your bridesmaids, or making your guests pay for their drinks when you paid for open bar, Louise continues to fail at her job. You would think it would be cheaper to fire her than to shower the angry groom and bride with comped Champagne and dinners to try to make up for destroying their wedding day. But no. Louise is free to ignore the wishes of her clients again and again. So, if you want to get married here, I suggest you BEG for any other coordinator than Louise.

ugh people (we had to close the block sooner). I stayed the night before and my girls and I got ready there in the morning with a king bed/parlor suite. That night my husband and I stayed in the king bed room. The rooms are amazing, and the hotel is definitely the best in the area. They were great getting us checked in early to bring my dress and all the things we needed for the morning of the wedding. Other than that, we were pretty much left alone. That being said, we did have some issues. When I got back with my husband after our wedding, the parlor was still open. I called down to the front desk to make sure we had been checked out properly so I didn't get charged for it. The person at the desk didn't seem to understand, so I had to wait and talk to a manager. Then the next day when we checked out, they still had the parlor charged to our room. They graciously removed it, but if I hadn't specifically been looking we would have been charged. They also sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for a congratulation, but sent it to his brother the first night, and then again the second night even after we told them. That being said, their names are very similar so I suppose I understand why that would happen. I don't regret staying there as there aren't really any other nice options close by, but a lot of our guests did not stay there due to the high price tag.

"wedding planner" was unable to provide information on basic information (golf rates, room rates, etc.) and instead just told me to contact others throughout the resort. On the day of our wedding, they forget to tell my husband when he should walk out during the ceremony and forgot to decorate our wedding suite. They also charged my account without authorization and refused to refund it after I pointed that out. We tried to speak with the general manager, John Gates, but he refused to return our call and email. If you are planning a wedding in San Diego, look elsewhere!

but absolutely elegant. I thought Rancho Bernardo Inn would be out of our reach, given its prestigious reputation in San Diego, but was quickly proven wrong. We worked with Joy, who was so welcoming and helpful from the start. She made us feel like a priority. After touring the venue, we found there were many options for ceremony and reception locations throughout the property, along with numerous choices for catering and drinks. After comparing many similar venues in the area, including Temecula, I found the Rancho Bernardo Inn to be the best "bang for my buck." Joy has a lot of experience--and sheer talent--under her belt. We had a planning mishap the day before, which I thought meant a lot of work for me during crunch time, but Joy took all of the responsibility off my hands and took care of everything for me (and better than I could have). She far exceeded my expectations in making my vision into a gorgeous reality...and gracefully responded to a lot of emails during our 3-month planning period! We also worked with Inn Florals, the florist on-site. They have a team of amazing florists who really worked with us on reaching our goal budget without compromising the overall look of the ceremony and reception. They were very knowledgeable and gave us excellent direction on which flowers would be most vibrant (i.e. in the prime of their season) on the day-of. As I figured the florist on-site would be more expensive than other florists in town, I shopped around a bit. I was surprised to find that they were the best deal in the area. I was also pleasantly surprised at how much we got for our (limited) budget. The arrangements were unique and absolutely beautiful. I would recommend the Rancho Bernardo Inn to everyone--no matter what their budget. We had time and money against us from the start, but the RB Inn gave us more than we could have imagined. It was an elegant event, an unforgettable day.

The Inn is gorgeous, the staff are professional, and our food was delicious. I can't imagine a more ideal local for our wedding then the RBI!

a set number of rooms for that weekend but the inn wanted ALL of the money down in advance. of course, we did not have a few extra thousand dollars while planning our wedding for the room block so we didn't continue. my husband and i booked our room there and we also had the after party at one of their restaurants. so, many of our guests ended up staying at the inn regardless of not having a block of rooms. we gave them a list of probably 10-15 rooms that our family and friends had booked and they refused to give us a group discount. after many, many tries they agreed to give us $1 off of each drink purchased in their restaurant on the wedding night. however, they forgot to do this that night and instead gave us free champagne the next day at brunch. the rooms were very nice, the service was great in the restaurants, the only negative i have to say is don't try to get a group discount for rooms unless you have several extra thousands of dollars lying around to block them off.

However, I had an outside vendor do desserts and a tray in the frig went missing and they dropped the top tier of my wedding cake luckily it was fake! Overall though, I was very happy with my experience and loved the surroundings in my photos!

ding and it was only 20 minutes North of San Diego! It was difficult to communicate with our director/contact there so it is crucial you have a planner(s). Also, we were told to add about $2K of catering costs a few days before the wedding, only to be billed 2 weeks later for $1600!! And, we disputed it, but they went behind our backs and just charged our card without authorization. Also, we selected crab-stuffed chicken, and many guests complained about having NO CRAB in their chicken later on! Other than that, the wedding went off without a hitch, but we did all the work. The service there is great other than that and people are so nice. Many people said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Great venue, just get your planners and stay atop every detail. Your planners will be worth the cost because they will save you in contract costs and in getting discounts with vendors they know. They had a recommended DJ and photographer and we loved them!

All the various components/events (such as rooms or spa services) were negotiated with one contact person easily so we could understand the complete cost. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and were the perfect setting. There are lovely "conversation areas" all over the property where our guests spent time together in between events. The food catered for all events was amazing, as well as the restaurants on site. The rooms are elegantly decorated and have many amenities. The staff members were attentive to every little detail and were always present to make sure things ran smoothly. They went above and beyond to ensure we all had a good time and the facilites/decor were perfect. They allowed us to use the foyer of a ballroom for our ceremony and make it look like a chapel. They were even able to re-use our wedding flowers at brunch the next day. The staff at RBI made our wedding weekend a perfect, fairytale wedding!
