We felt brushed under the rug since day one. Due to the pandemic we decided to have our wedding reception on our property. RB Studio heard this and continued to refer to it as a “micro-wedding” despite our efforts to say there will be 90 people... attending / it’s formal / this is NOT a backyard BBQ event (as Michael referred to it) / etc. We never got to speak to the actual photographer or videographer that arrived that day prior to the event. They felt like two very inexperienced individuals, who did NOT follow our shot list whatsoever. They gave zero direction. They made zero effort to make us feel comfortable during shooting. They arrived ready to shoot a picnic and seemed very out of their element when they realized it was a full-blown wedding. When the night was winding down, rather than consult the shot list, they interrupted us to figure out what pictures we still wanted taken. As if they never even looked at the shot list that we spent 60 minutes of our time planning for them. The entire process from beginning to bitter end was a drag with minimal communication. Zero followup after the wedding. When I reached out for a timeline to receive photos/videos - I was met with a rude response, given a photo queue calendar I had never seen before, and was told the videos would be ready in 3-4 months (though the contract states 12-16 weeks). Great. I wait until the anticipated date for the photos. When I hadn’t received a response by 2pm that day - I reached out to see if they were ready - they were not and they wouldn’t be ready until the following week. I asked to see some preview shots - to which my fears were confirmed - they looked so unprofessional. When I receive the full lot of photos the following week, I’m met with more disappointment. Shot list was thrown out the window, terrible color, unflattering angles galore, inconsistent shots, blown-out, barely culled or edited, the list goes on. Cut to 16+ weeks and still no video - no communication that it would be delayed either. I reach out (again) and am told it won’t be ready till the end of February the earliest OR early March the latest. We received the video last Friday 2/25/22. Again, more disappointment. I had hoped the shots from our list that were missed in the photos would be featured somewhere in the video footage - they were not. The cuts are terrible, the highlight video is rushed, speeches are cut at odd moments or removed altogether AND.THE ICING ON THE UNPROFESSIONAL CAKE OUR WEDDING DATE IS WRONG in the video. Not only did they use the default font in Premiere Pro (Lucida Grande - minimal effort) they did not even get our wedding date correct! The end of the highlight video we’re greeted with 9/24/21 (they didn’t even bother putting it on the full length). We were married 9/25/21. There is NOT one photo we can say we genuinely like. We have not gotten any of them printed and we don’t intend to. We’ve resorted to aggregating our friends photos from social media to get decent shots - luckily they took some really nice ones. Sharing the video is an embarrassment without the correct date (as of this review they have not amended it yet). A waste of $2,461. What you see on their website is not the quality we received and expected. I don’t know if they lost their top employees during the pandemic, but these portfolio pieces and previous accolades do not represent their current work.
