Cordwood Barbecue

Can't recommend Cordwood enough! From the appetizers to mains to sides, everything was absolutely phenomenal. All night our guests kept expressing how much they enjoyed the food. Even going through a Catering Manager transition during the months leading up to our wedding, they kept our details accurate and quickly helped me with any questions I had (and I had plenty!). Thank you Sharon & Cordwood team for helping to make our day amazing!!

I would highly recommend Coordwood BBQ! All of our guest at the weddinf were raving about the food! Amy was always very responsive to my emails and called me back quickly whenever I had questions. The staff that served our food was also great! No complaints here. Food was delicious, staff was amazing, and very reasonably priced!

First. The food is unbelievably good. The number of compliments we got on dinner? We couldn’t count. We honestly thought about having their cornbread as our wedding cake. It’s that good. Second, the folks at Cordwood are amazing. They made things run smoothly. They helped us with changes. Amy communicated everything with us and made the day of so easy and smooth. We didn’t have anything to stress about, and that alone made the experience 5 stars. I cannot recommend them enough. 12/5 stars.

The food was great! The service was not. I had a conversation with Amy about dismissing tables for dinner and she told me it was no problem, her and her staff can do that. Come time for dinner, my wedding coordinator approached me and said no one from the catering staff was comfortable dismissing tables and so she would do it. Prior to the wedding I was told that the bartenders can make any drinks you want as long as you provide the tools/supplies and a recipe. The only drink I wanted that would require a small amount of work was just a classic margarita (with freshly squeezed lime juice). The first thing I was told as I entered cocktail hour was, "Girl, they f***ed up your margaritas." and "They are confused because there isn't a mix." and "Tell me how you wanted the margaritas made so I can tell the bartenders." I went over the recipe with Amy to relay to the bartenders well before the wedding, (it was just fresh lime juice, agave and tequila shaken with ice!) The bartenders weren't using the shakers I provided and weren't using enough lime juice. Also, we had labeled and discussed to have canned cocktails sitting out for the ceremony(high noon/beer), and somehow the ball got dropped here too and guest were drinking the pop/mixers that was meant for the reception. Again, I can't complain about the food itself, it was great. But my number one wedding regret was not hiring separate bartenders. Hope this helps someone else avoid this situation!
