te the day of. Now, I am a very type A person who is very particular about details and was truthfully hesitant to trust someone with this task. However, all my worries were put at ease working alongside her. She was such a sweetheart and very on top of all details. She offered suggestions to add some final details leading up to the wedding and helped me coordinate with vendors. The day of went so perfect- she was truly a blessing in how organized she was about helping the event run smoothly and making sure that every item went home to the right people and place. I can't recommend Genevieve James' event planning enough, she's truly a perfect fit for all brides and will make your event above and beyond special.

I didn’t find out there had even been a problem until much later, which turned out not to be too huge of a deal given she got enough cake saved in the back. Many years of experience and helped to avoid other issues. Supportive and able to help me recover money when first DJ pulled some tricks with the original deal and had to be fired. I’m a master procrastinator - she kept me on top of deadlines. Relatable and professional. Became a close acquaintance.

She has great connections to local vendors in the DFW area but also helped me with any vendors I brought in that she wasn't familiar with. Whenever I felt overwhelmed with everything going on, she was right there with a list of everything to check off and always calmed me down. She took a real interest in helping making this experience everything I wanted it to be, from being excited looking at pics of my wedding dress to helping me time my perfect aisle entrance. She goes above and beyond. The day of, we got a little (a lot) behind because of photography but she never made me feel rushed or feel panicked. She handled everything behind the scenes and I just got to enjoy the night. I couldn't recommend her enough -- will definitely be staying in touch after the wedding!

Geni’s relationships and connections throughout Dallas served us so well and made it easy to hand over our plans to her, as she so easily was able to work with all our vendors since she knew most of them already! Geni is so warm, friendly, calm and collected, which is exactly what you need to surround yourself with during your wedding week. She brought such calm and organization to the wedding day, that even a super type-A personality, like myself, felt comfortable letting go and having her lead the day! r and more established, so we knew exactly what we wanted and the budget we could afford. Geni went above and beyond to find the best vendors that could accomplish what we were looking for within our budget. For example, we had a crazy idea, since our wedding reception venue had no windows, to project a high resolution floor to ceiling imagine of a Chicago (theme of our wedding) skyline along a 100' long wall indoors. This would add a really cool element to our theme. And while this was unheard of, Geni found a vendor that made it happen! We were so impressed with the way it turned out. Geni kept me grounded throughout the entire planning process, preventing me from being a groomzilla, and engaged my wife to be more involved who is normally quite reserved. She knows how to communicate our wishes and has a gift for filling in the missing pieces that we don't know we need. She joined us on countless venue walks and helped us get every little thing perfect. As a "day of" coordinator, we would have been lost without Geni. She made sure everything was absolutely perfect. The day went off without a single hitch, that we knew of. Apparently we had a several issues pop up with the cake, some guests that showed up without RSVP and didn't have a place to sit, and several other things. NONE OF WHICH were made known to us until long after. Geni took care of EVERYTHING so that we could concentrate on the best day of our lives. Geni took special care of our older parents for the wedding and reception. She made sure my elderly dad (who couldn't get around too well) made it safely to the reception and after-party, and enjoyed himself fully. I was so appreciative of this, as there was no one else to really take care of my dad, and Geni was amazing helping him. The next day we realized that one of our Swarovski toasting flutes that we bought specifically for the wedding was missing. We LOVED those! Later we found out that one was broken, and we actually found some broken pieces of it in the elevator. We were saddened but that was the only thing that happened. One year later, Geni gave us a gift for our first anniversary. It was a new matching Swarovski toasting flute! That was so sweet of her to remember and to think of us. Almost 10 years later, Geni is still amazing, still our friend, and we still have the toasting flutes. What a wonderful human being, and event planner Geni is.
