12/10 Recommend, no joke! Kristen is AMAZING!! Kristen originally was just supposed to be my photographer, but she ended up coming in clutch and basically became my wedding planner also! I am from out of state and also had no idea where to even start to plan a wedding! I randomly found Kristen's name off a website and decided to DM her on Instagram, from our first interaction she felt like an instant friend and helped me get down to business! She was always quick to answer any question I had and we had occasional facetime check ins too! Especially from being out of state she reassured me with every step. This was so refreshing to have someone like her. Kristen provided a list of venues, officiants, makeup artists, and a lot of other services! I chose great options off of her list of recommendations. She even got in communication with the officiant and make up artist and set everything up when I was overwhelmed and took a weight off my shoulders. Like I said, especially from being out of state I had no idea where to go! Kristen made sure of the best location ever and set up the perfect ceremony time for pictures! Before the ceremony she did every request I had with pictures of me getting ready, the groom get ready, and my first look with my dad. I was even an idiot and forgot to order a bouquet.. Who does that?! But guess what... The day of the wedding she bought me one, and it was perfect!! She even drove me and my dad to the ceremony because we didn't have another rental car. I wanted to do a traditional walk down the aisle first look for the groom and I even though it was an elopement and she made that possible because she drove me so I didn't have to ride with the groom!! More clutch moments if you ask me! All of the pictures turned out AMAZING!!! They literally look so dreamy and beautiful no exaggeration. The beach was literally packed when we got married but she worked her magic and removed everyone from the photos. It seriously looks like we were the only ones there! Amazing skills! Her photography style is so beautiful and natural. She was also fast and communicated through out the whole editing process. The pictures turned out to be everything we wanted and more! Kristen seriously made me feel beautiful and the way she captured the day was also beautiful. I would chose her anytime I was looking for a photographer in Oahu. I 100% recommend Kristen!!

I highly recommend Kristen for any of your photography needs! She photographed my engagement shoot and wedding and I could not be happier with the photos. She captured moments beautifully and the way she styles and edits the pictures is incredible!! She listened to all of my ideas and got every shot I wanted from the day. She also gave me creative ideas for poses and shots that I wouldn't have come up with myself and they turned out fantastic. She also made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Weeks before the event, she sent us a very detailed questionnaire to make sure she captured everything we wanted for our wedding. Kristen was the first "vendor" we booked for our wedding and we're so glad we went with her! She was very professional and her communication was great throughout the planning and on the day of. Before the wedding we had several calls with her and she met us at the venue to walk through everything. I asked her to capture a lot of candid photos of us and guests and she did not disappoint. Kristen was an AMAZING photographer to work with from beginning to end. Her booking process was very easy to navigate and she was quick to respond. I really appreciated our FaceTime meet and greet prior to our session. It was a nice way to get to know each other and become comfortable even before our session. This was something that a lot of other photographers did not offer. On the day of our session, she made us feel comfortable and made the morning about us. She tailored our session to things we wanted to do and fun things we talked about or wrote in a little questionnaire. We got sneak peaks 2-3 days after our session and the full album about 4 weeks after. They all turned out GORGEOUS and were absolutely in love with them. We haven't decided on where or when our wedding will be yet, but we would love to work with her again!

I am deeply grateful that Kristen Iwalani was our wedding photographer! Kristen is a highly talented and professional kama'aina who is so pleasant and easy to work with. At first glance at her website, we could tell that she is brilliant at capturing natural light, well organized and detail oriented. Kristen proved herself to be proactive, responsible, responsive, and punctual. She arranged meetings with us well in advance to take the time to get to know us and asked insightful guiding questions to help us figure out what we wanted. Most of all she listened, and incorporated every request, truly honoring our vision and being flexible to last minute adjustments. Furthermore, she is kind and patient with us and all our guests. Kristen's prices are reasonable and create gorgeous keepsakes that we will always cherish. If you’re looking for a top notch professional and empathetic photographer, look no further! I was referred to Kristen by my good friend for maternity pics, and am so grateful that I went with her. I have been feeling very self-conscious about my body (due to a mastectomy and of course, pregnancy). From our initial consult to the day of photo shoot, Kristen made me feel very comfortable and was so attuned to what I was looking for. Even my husband and pup got to join in for some family pics! Kristen was amazing and we highly recommend her. We had an intimate backyard wedding. We reached out less than a month before our wedding as we decided on this wedding pretty last minute, and Kristen was very flexible with us and super helpful leading to the wedding. We were able to have an intro call with her, then met for coffee which let us know she was the perfect choice for us. She also sent us a congratulatory gift which was very sweet! At the wedding, she showed up on time and just made everything so easy! She paid attention to detail, was extremely friendly and easy to get along with. All of our guests raved about her and even invited her to tag along for the after party because she fit right in. The photos were beyond perfect! She sent us sneak peeks within the week and had our entire gallery posted within the month. It was such a great way to relive the moment through the photos. We have so many favorites to choose from because they are all amazing. We are so happy we went with Kristen because we could not imagine a better experience.

Kristen is great and did a wonderful job with our pictures, the day of shooting, and the communication leading up to the day itself! She is very personal yet professional and extremely accommodating (which wasn't something we thought we would need right off the bat but made the process so much more relaxed). She is very kind and made the entire event stress-free so that we were able to have fun the day of, which makes the pictures even that much better to look back at. Kristen was absolutely awesome! My husband and I wanted to have a photo shoot for our one year anniversary in Hawaii, and we found Kristen's work and loved her style. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions prior to booking. Since we weren't familiar with the area, Kristen suggested locations based off of what we were envisioning for our location and she nailed it. She was very professional and communicated with us the whole way through via video, email and texts. On the day of, she arrived early for our very early sunrise photo shoot. Her energy made us really comfortable and we were able to relax and have fun with our shoot. Afterwards she delivered sneak peaks within two days and our full gallery as promised. We love our photos and are so happy that we chose Kristen to capture our first anniversary!

Once we found Kristen and her work we knew we could't trust anyone else with capturing our day! Kristen was incredible with communication from start to finish and extremely transparent. We are so grateful that we trusted her with our engagement photos and our special day. She captured every moment of our event in the exact way we wanted. Every time I turned around Kristen was right there capturing every detail. She became more than our photographer but a dear friend through the process. Kristen was AMAZING!!! She really goes above and beyond to make sure your vision becomes a reality. Not only does she go to multiple locations she also communicates with you and makes sure it’s something you have in your “vision”. We ended up doing a surprise engagement/family photos. We met her at a location just to see if it was something I had in mind as a possible place for the proposal and it was perfect! We also brainstormed how we would be able to pull off the surprise proposal and it couldn’t have gone and more smoothly. Not to mention when doing my family photos it takes my family forever, however, with Kristen it was literally THE BEST photoshoot we did and everything came out perfectly. Now to the proposal. When my mom, sister, and I met with Kristen we brainstormed on how it would even be possible to surprise my then girlfriend with a proposal. We all came up with a plan of just taking some photos of my girlfriend while our families set up further in the back with letters spelling out “will you marry me”. Kristen did an amazing job at keeping my girlfriend distracted and making sure she didn’t turn around. When everything was all set my girlfriend turned around with me on my knee and holding a white rose that doubled as the ring holder and Kristen captured everything that was going on. Now my fiancée and I always have photos and videos to look back at the special moment in our lives. Let me tell you, we look at those photos and videos everyday. We can’t thank you enough for everything, Kristen! If you are looking for someone to take your photos for anything, look no further! You won’t be disappointed!

Kristen was the absolute greatest!! My wife and I eloped on New Year’s Day. We originally planned to have our shoot that day, but it was storming! Luckily, she was flexible and we rescheduled to a later date. We had our initial FaceTime with her to discuss the setting we desired (sunset at the beach) and she answered any questions we had. We told her that one of us is uncomfortable with figuring out how to pose and showing PDA for a long period of time. That was not a problem whatsoever! She worked with our comfort level and she had a few tricks up her sleeve when it came to poses. After the shoot was done, she sent us a sneak peek of a handful of the edited photos and we received the rest of the photos within a couple weeks. We were ecstatic! They’re literally cover-page of a luxury magazine quality! Totally obsessed. I recommend her for your every occasion and for every “comfort level” type. We will definitely stick with her and her services for our every occasion we have in our life. Thank you Kristen!

My husband and I have used Kristen for both our engagement and elopement photos, and she has not disappointed! We are both not very comfortable with posing for photos, but Kristen made it all so easy and feel more natural.
