SE Events - Atlanta Wedding DJ & Entertainment

The people are great! Super friendly, and the platform that they give you access to to set everything up is fantastic. It really does make the experience better from a planning aspect. BUT...I'm giving a 2 star because of a couple of things that happened... 1) Zero slow dances for the guest to dance to. We had our first dance, mother/son dance and then the solo dance at the end of the evening, but that was it. People had complained to us that we should have had more slow dances for everyone. Its not a "deal-breaker"...its just something the DJ should be aware of. 2) This is the BIG one, and should be listed first, but I'm going to vent for a bit here on this one... We had "A Thousand Years" by the Piano Guys selected as our procession song. Corny, maybe...overused, possibly...but it was beautiful to us. They asked for a link to the song, so we sent it (you can find it on YouTube easily). When that DJ hit the music on his system outside, it was the worst sounding speaker/recording/song that you could imagine. It would have sounded better to have had a Casio keyboard play the song, rather than his system. It was terrible, and not just an "oopsies" in the beginning...the whole procession was like that. And in that one, special, never to be recreated moment, that is was we here on videos people shot of wedding party and my gorgeous bride, walking down the isle. Absolutely Unreal! Why would we not test the sound system, download a new file if its corrupted, or just get someone's phone to play the song over a microphone??? I'm just glad that what everyone says is true, that when you are standing up at that alter, and you see her at the end of the isle, all the background noise goes away...because for me...it absolutely did. BUT...for those in the audience...It was nails on a Casio chalkboard. Come on man! But hey, all-in-all, the DJ was friendly, he was entertaining, great personality... the music for the recession, the reception and the cocktail hour all sounded great! Now...I did also hire SE Events for our videography, so I'll post a review on that too.

I am so happy with SE Events! Lou did such an amazing job for our special day, he included all of our requested songs and made them feel so important. He met with us many times via Zoom to confirm all the small details were tied up. I love the online portal/website, it made the process such a breeze and knowing everything was all together in one place. We had SUCH a fun night and the music played such a great part of it all. Jesse was one of the best DJs! I loved talking with the company before booking and I appreciate the meetings we had with Jesse to plan for the wedding. He helped us with a lot and gave a lot of amazing advice on songs, time frames, and overall experience for us and the guest. The day of the event I got a lot of compliments on him and I was told he was the best DJ that my family has ever seen and heard. We did not have that many people show up but he kept the vibe up and interacted with the guests that were there. Every time I looked over he was always smiling and dancing. Above and Beyond - DJ and Livestream Dynamic Duo! We had our wedding at Primrose Cottage in June 2023. SE Events was recommended by Primrose and we are so glad we took their advice! Jesse was amazing! From the initial sales call he asked questions we had not even thought about and offered suggestions based on our limited vision of what was needed. Mid-stream we took some interesting planning turns that included adding an outdoor guitar soloist, personal vows, more people and a surprise invasion by Darth Vadar and Storm Troopers at the end that required a recessional “take over” to the Imperial March as a surprise for our guests. Jesse helped us plan out the entire sequence. On the dance floor, he played fantastic music, staying within our comfort zone. Even though it was a noon wedding and reception, his vibes got this age 50+ crowd up and having fun! He truly made our wedding exceptional and memorable while staying classy. Along the way, Jesse also brought in Scott to help with a livestream of both the ceremony and the reception (not a normal request evidently). Scott exceeded our expectations! If you are thinking about doing a video of your wedding, go livestream. The footage was high quality and we got to see what everyone was doing even when we were out of the room! ; ) Instead of one camera following us around, we got to see who was talking to whom along with all the traditional speeches and activities. We even got great cake cutting from the other room using the livestream because Scott was using a high quality, versatile camera and he worked it like a pro! Jesse and Scott made an amazing team and our wedding will be highly memorable AND re-watchable for years to come! We are so grateful to them both! Thank you!!

I can't begin to express how happy we were with the outstanding services from SE Events. From the initial consultation to the day of the event, they were professional, accommodating, and exceeded our expectations in every way. The DJ was absolutely fantastic! He kept the party going all night long and played all of our requested songs. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and we received so many compliments from our guests on the great music selection. The photobooth was a huge hit as well! Our guests had a blast taking photos with the fun props provided and we loved looking through all of the pictures afterwards. The videographer captured every important moment of our wedding day from the first look to the send off. We can hardly wait for the highlight video so we can relive our special day for years to come. SE Events is top notch, I would recommend them for any special occasion.

We hired SE Events because they were recommended to us by The Wimbish House. Jesse walked us through their website, which allows you to pick out songs you want to play for eating/mixing/mingling, dancing, and important events like the processional/recessional. You can also put songs on a "Do Not Play" list, and I loved having this control. We also expressed our concern with wanting the DJ to only announce important events and not be involved with the crowd at all. DJ Mike Murray was the perfect answer. He timed everything out perfectly, played requested songs on top of some classic crowd pleasers, and even took my last minute request to shorten our first dance song. It was perfect and I'll definitely be recommending them to our friends and family for future events.

Lou was amazing! He was very easy to work with. He met with us several times to make sure he knew exactly what we were wanting. He even helped my husband put together the music for his dance with our daughter. Lou had great energy for our daughter’s New Year’s Eve wedding. He couldn’t have been more perfect!

Lou was fantastic! Everyone talked about how great the DJ was at our wedding, He used our playlist and created a great experience for us and out guests. I am also hard of hearing and Lou made sure that I could hear all the speeches, the music, and any announcements. We felt very cared for an taken care of.

We had a great experience with SE Events who we hired as our DJ for our recent wedding in Dahlonega, GA. Lou and his team were great to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. We would definitely recommend them for any future events!

Jesse from SE Events did such an incredible job for our wedding. We had two pre-wedding planning meetings where he walked us through the process and made suggestions for songs and order of events to help things flow. Their online client platform was super easy to enable us add in every song we wanted and plan things out to the T exactly how we envisioned. Our wedding day went so smoothly and Jesse kept people on the dance floor all night. We couldn't have been happier!

All I wanted on my wedding day was for everyone to be out on the dance floor and DJ Lou Guzzo made this dream become a reality. He was funny, professional, and made sure everyone was having the time of their lives. I asked him if he could make a mix for the father daughter dance and he did it, no questions asked, no extra fees, all while we were still on our pre wedding phone call. He was truly amazing, and I would recommend him to anyone!

We had DJ Lou Guzzo at our wedding. He did an amazing job playing music during the ceremony and all throughout the reception. His website offered suggestions based off what others used in the past, and he also used my spotify playlist to decide what songs to play during the reception while we were eating and dancing. It was a lot of fun!

A wedding in it self is such a memorable time and for the groom and bride experience. What most don’t realize is that the entertainment and DJ are really what sets the tone for a wedding . Whether you’re going for a formal feel to a ballroom blitz , they set the atmosphere. We had the pleasure of having Jesse help in coordinating the client portal and guiding us in planning the music. We had DJ Pete for our wedding and he absolutely crushed it. He followed our preferences list and sensed what our guests like , then adapted and kept the party going. He paid attention to detail even making sure our first dances were on time, key, and perfect. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect evening for us given our wonderful experience with DJ Pete !

We hired DJ Jesse for our wedding, and we are so glad we did! He was so amazing from the beginning. He took the time to meet with us multiple times to be sure he understood what we wanted in our day and that all of our important songs were selected. They have the best online planner to use to help select everything you could ever need. They also have an expansive library of songs to pick from if you need some inspiration / help. On the day of the wedding DJ Jesse did a great job reading the crowd and playing music to keep the party going. He got the whole crowd dancing - even my grandma and great aunt were dancing! Highly recommend DJ Jesse for all of your party / wedding needs!

DJ Lou did an amazing job at our wedding! I had so many people come up to me after saying the music played and the engaging of Lou, made the night so fun. He knows what he’s doing, takes the time to talk with you if you have any questions, and let’s you work at your own pace for timing. Highly, highly recommend!

DJ Lou did an amazing job with our wedding at Ashton Gardens! He was so professional and communicative, and played the perfect music to keep everyone dancing! He was also kind and checked in with us to make sure certain guest requests were okay to play. The portal they use was extremely helpful in allowing us to set up our ceremony and lay out exactly what we did and didn't want to hear during our reception.

Jesse from SE events was the absolute best!!! Our wedding was quite a challenge because we do not like typical wedding songs, and we have songs and traditions from various cultures that we wanted incorporated into our day. Jesse not only drew from his vast wedding experience, but also made sure to humbly ask questions and meet with us multiple times before our wedding day to clarify and make sure he understood our vision for the day. He was patient with us through many requests and changes in the process and was the kindest person ever. He also took a genuine interest in our lives, and had the best energy on our wedding day and leading up to it. On the day of the wedding he was very upbeat and fun and available to us for whatever we asked! He kept the dance floor going strong all night-even with our extra long reception. Our guests commented on how great he was, and we couldn’t agree more!!! Would 11/10 recommend Jesse to DJ your wedding!

DJ Austin was great! We also had our uplighting and photo booth through SE Events.

Jesse was absolutely amazing. We had a planning session before the wedding and he explained his site. All we had to do was go in and plug in our info and songs, super quick and easy and very organized. He has excellent song lists and we were even able to add in songs that are not common/mainstream. The wedding day was perfect -Jesse nailed everything, so grateful we got to have him dj our wedding! Do yourself a favor and book him!!!!!

DJ Jesse was AWESOME!! And the whole company as a whole was a breeze to work with. I found them through a local trade show and am so glad I went with them. I had a good feeling at the show, and Jesse made everything better. The company has a very easy to operate online portal that lets you customize as much or as little as you want, with suggestions for the different parts of the wedding even so if you have no clue those come in real handy. There is also a schedule tracking system which was great. It honestly helped me keep track of the order of things for other vendors also, it was such a blessing. At the party Jesse really knew how to read the crowd and use the music suggestions I gave with his knowledge to keep everyone dancing all night. I have gotten so many compliments post wedding on how fun the reception was and it would not have happened without him. Very professional, always kind and ready to make the day special no matter what, and on time so I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day.

Our DJ (John) was phenomenal. He played all the music we requested and kept the party going. He added a few songs based on our audience that were perfect and that we did not think of ahead of time ourselves! The pricing was great and our experience was absolutely perfect!

DJ Lou did a wonderful job for our wedding in August at Ashton Gardens! The portal they use for wedding songs that you want to hear and when you want to hear them, as well as the songs that you don’t want to hear was super helpful in framing our thoughts for the whole night. The portal system was also really helpful with helping with our coordinator’s timeline. The wedding day music was wonderful. DJ Lou played beautiful music as we were taking photos before the ceremony and the music playing while the guests waited for the ceremony to start was great. All the music we chose to have for the ceremony was spot on and played for the best amount of time. As we were getting ready to do our entrance, we didnt notice this, but the wedding party let us know after that he went down the line to make sure he was pronouncing names correctly and to make sure the line-up had not changed, which is extremely professional. His emcee capabilities were also amazing as we went through the entire night with wonderful shout outs and enjoyable music!

Best DJ. Hired for my daughter's wedding. He were so very friendly and worked with us on what music we wanted. Our dj was amazing with directions for our guest and kept our party going all the way to the end.

We used SE for our wedding and we were not disappointed. Lou was our DJ and was the absolute best! He did everything we requested him to do and more, if you are looking for a Dj that will keep the party going and everyone dancing SE is it!

To start, we had a fantastic dance party at our wedding, and are so thankful for that! SE Events was good value, and everyone had an amazing time. At one point EVERYONE was on the dance floor, so we left on cloud nine. After the fact, we learned that the DJ had been misinformed of our ceremony start time, but was early enough and so adaptable that he was able to adjust seamlessly, without us ever knowing! A point for improvement: We met and coordinated with someone other than our DJ. A few days before the wedding, we got urgent texts from the DJ wanting to meet with us with questions about our request list, first dances, etc. This bothered me, given that we were mid-travel, coordinating with our guests, doing last minute wedding stuff, etc. and the last thing I wanted to do was duplicate conversations while trying to be present with others. This is a small complaint for an overall amazing night. We had asked for a DJ that could read the room and get everyone on the dance floor, and that's exactly what we got! Thanks for contributing to our wonderful night!

We saw DJ Lou perform for a wedding venue vendors open house and knew we needed to go chat with him about our day! We had a great zoom call where he walked us thru everything and we booked him that same night! He has a great energy about him and truly felt like he wanted the day to go smooth for us! He came early to the venue and set up on time, but even worked during the ceremony to help the wedding coordinator and harpist out in signaling the readiness of the ceremony doors to open for me to walk down at the right time. I just knew when I met him that he would be an amazing person to have part of our special day. Highly recommend!!

We worked with DJ Lou for our wedding earlier this spring/summer and really enjoyed it. Lou and his team were fantastic to work with all throughout the process leading up to and on our actual wedding day. My wife and I would highly recommend working with SE events!!! Thanks Lou! We loved working with Jesse and SE event on this day. Jesse was very professional, talented and great to work with on finding a great selection of songs for the wedding. SE event has a nice website tool for this as well which made our task much easier than expected. Value was great and we all had a fun time. Thanks again.

We got married at Wolf Mountain winery and vineyards in Dahlonega GA in May 2021. We had Matt Osborne as our DJ/entertainment host. He was such an integral role in our wedding day. Our music in both the ceremony and reception turned out perfect and we have received so many compliments on his entertainment great personality throughout the wedding. During the planning stages of the wedding he was available to answer any questions and give recommendations on songs for the special moments throughout the wedding. He even made a special cut of our first song for us to dance too. He truly went above and beyond for us and our wedding day. We also added in the photo booth as well as the up lighting, it truly added a wonderful ambiance. It was a pleasure working together with Matt and we cannot thank him enough for making our big day so special.

DJ Lou is literally the best of all time. We told him we wanted everyone to be on the dance floor as much as possible and he played the PERFECT songs to keep everyone going. It was such a blast, we were so sad when it was over. Highly recommend DJ Lou!!!

I can't say enough how AWESOME Austin was for our wedding on May 29th! Everything from planning to day of - I got SO many guests who complimented him and even asked me for his info so they had someone in mind for when they got married! The evening went so seamlessly and everyone had such a great time. Lou and Austin did an amazing job and I cannot thank them enough!

We got married on April 23rd 2021 and Jesse was absolutely amazing. We trusted him with the music and he had the crowd dancing all night. It was everything I hoped for and so glad we used you for our entertainment. I highly recommend your business to everyone. Jesse is hands down the best DJ ever!!!!

DJ Lou was awesome!! His energy and charisma had everyone dancing and having a great time and helped make our wedding very special! First, Lou was a tremendous planning partner leading up to the wedding. Always very responsive to calls and emails to answer any questions, and he offered tons of helpful advice and suggestions during the planning process. And the online event planning portal was very easy to use and gave us confidence that all of the details were taken care of! On the day, Lou did an amazing job with the music and the MCing to keep everything running smoothly. We had such a great time! Finally, we also did our videography through SE Entertainment, and the team was fantastic and professional. They were always there capturing all the important moments, and while we haven't seen the finished video yet, we are sure it will be great. Highly recommend SE Events for DJ and video services!

Lou is the best! From our first meeting he was so much fun and he understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding. We had to postpone our wedding several times due to COVID and he helped us with that with absolutely no issues. The day of the wedding he was an absolutely blast! We had so much fun with him and the music was awesome. We downsized our wedding to 57 guests and despite the small size he had us on the dance floor the whole night. Our guests absolutely loved him!

Our DJ Lou was a blast!!! He was great to work with and kept our intimate wedding celebration lively all the way to closing time! We really didn’t need to do much besides giving him some more insight on what we like and Lou made the best judgement calls on what songs to play! I highly recommend this DJ for a fun party!!

Would give more stars if we could!! Choosing SE Events was one of the best decisions we made in preparing for our wedding. Lou was an absolutely fantastic DJ who catered to every detail and desire we had for the celebration. This included his constant availability to discuss our questions and needs, a detailed planning process, and even mixing a personalized song for the bride/father-of-the-bride dance! Lou was very familiar with our venue and we felt completely comfortable as he directed the events of our wedding ceremony and reception.

The absolute BEST! We had Austin as our DJ! He is so AWESOME! He was super easy to work with, he had a great personality! Austin actually got into a car wreck a couple days before and was released from the hospital just to DJ our wedding!! Poor guy but he was so dedicated to us and wanted to make sure we had the best time! Austin said he was going back to the hospital. Spectrum was so easy! You have an online portal to create the playlist prior to your event and then you have a meeting with your DJ. Last minute we needed to add microphones and Austin added everything perfectly without hesitation! Highly Highly recommend!!!

I hired Spectrum Events for wedding uplighting. Lou, Richard, and team were super easy to work with and they were SO much better priced than their competitors for uplighting. I rented 16 uplights, and a Spectrum Events employee was in charge of changing them throughout the night. A week before the event, they called me to walk through my lighting plan which involved several color changes throughout the night. All were executed flawlessly, and I really appreciated that their team walked through the possibilities with me and even gave their professional opinion on colors that work best for weddings. Day-of, they worked in the background to make the event space look even more gorgeous than I thought possible. Highly highly recommend SE for their lighting options -- they are competitively priced, super responsive, and have tons of experience!

Jesse was awesome from start to finish! My daughter's wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020 and we had to reschedule for August. He made the process very smooth! He handled everything with finesse at the wedding! Great voice for a DJ as well! I had no complaints at all whatsoever. He made my daughter's day special as promised!

The crew from spectrum was amazing. Professional and organized, our ceremony went off without a hitch, and the reception was tons of fun. A special thanks for Levi, who got us or Zoom broadcast ceremony out to our guests who were unable to travel. The idea of a zoom wedding is new, but everyone made it work so well. Dana kept the dance floor moving and really took the time to understand what we wanted and executed perfectly, even when the power went out for the whole area; he moved his laptop out to the group that was dancing and kept it going for them. We worked with Lou as our account manager everything he promised came through and more. We had signed the contract in 2019 before the world changed and when it did, they worked with us to make everything right for the "new normal." So happy we went with Spectrum.

We went with SE for ceremony and reception music. We loved working with Jesse. His website was extremely user friendly, and he had some great suggestions for our song choices. I wanted our reception to be a mixture of piano bar style sing along songs and fun dance songs and Jesse nailed it. He was so good at reading the crowd and getting everyone to the dance floor. I highly recommend him!
