Catering by Mark

Recently, we entrusted “Catering by Mark” to provide and serve food for a wedding celebration at our home. They also coordinated the rentals of tables, chairs, high tops and linens. From the beginning, we knew we chose the right caterer. Throughout the process, Mark and Blanca were very quick to respond to any inquiry we had. Mark helped create a stylish affair with passed hors d'oeuvres, a self-serve appetizer table and a variety of dessert shots. We were impressed with the number of options available. The food was FANTASTIC. Everything was fresh, nicely presented and delicious. All of our guests commented how wonderful everything was. Mark insured that everything was ready on time and kept the food flowing. The servers, Gilda & Dionne and the bartender, Carolina were also excellent. They were professional, friendly, efficient and made all of our guests feel welcome and well fed. And, at the end of the night, everything was cleaned up and put away which was “icing on the cake”! Thanks to all of their hard work, they helped make our celebration a HUGE success! We definitely recommend “Catering by Mark” to everyone and I am sure the guests that attended will all do the same!

Mark and Blanca were wonderful to work with! Both made the planning process run smoothly and provided great insights when it came to not only catering, but overall logistics. The food was delicious and the team was wonderful to work with. So many of our guests raved about how delicious the taco buffet was. From the tasting, to the wedding, and even packaged left overs we got to enjoy for a few days, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had a great experience with Catering by Mark at our outdoor evening wedding at Pinecrest Gardens. Blanca was very communicative in helping us plan--important since we don't live in Miami. Mark did a very thorough run-through with us at the venue beforehand. The cocktail hour and reception went off without a hitch, and the servers were friendly and great about checking in on us (bride and groom) to make sure we had food and drinks. Food was delicious, too. Make sure you get the baked brie tarts as one of your hors d'oeuvres.

Catering By Mark was great at catering my wedding! They made the planning process as easy as could be with quick response times. Mark came to our home for a tasting and was easy to work with while selecting the menu and bar items. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a high end caterer for a great price!

Chef Mark is a wonderful person who shows passion thru his work! He truly cares about making the client happy and will go far and beyond to ensure your event will be extraordinary. Chef Mark and his team were Exceptional and very accomodating within our budget. All our guests had a blast during our wedding and we would use his services again in the future for all our family events! Thank you Blanca for always willing to work with different food items and you were so kind and sweet when discussing all possibilities.

We enjoyed working with Mark and Blanca from our very first interaction. They were helpful in all decisions, thinking about our needs and guests' needs. As the time of the event drew near, they made sure all details were addressed. The food was incredibly delicious and each guest reported enjoying the meal from appetizer to dessert. My wife and I are so grateful and want to give a tremendous thank you to Chef Mark, Blanca, and their team for executing our Wedding Day in January 2023. You and your staff were highly organized, commutative, and overall easy and professional to work with. Everything was precisely as we imagined: the floor plan and flow of the buffet, linens, table setup and food was extraordinary. For a couple that was planning a destination wedding, you created trust and executed it exactly as discussed. The staff managed to pour drinks, pass hor d'oeuvres, make dozens and dozens of Cuban coffees, bring guests desserts and made everyone feel welcomed. You and your team executed our expectations. We highly recommend working with Catering by Mark to create an event that will go off exactly how you imagined it - whether you are planning a destination wedding or any other occasion!

Mark & Blanca we’re so helpful throughout the entire planning process. They helped with rentals, we’re responsive & reasonably priced. I definitely recommend going with them for your wedding!

Mark is great to coordinate and plan with. We went over our 200 count wedding venue details by phone and in person at the location only a few times and everything was low stress, easy planning, and everyone on the same page. On the day of, most of my vendors were late and had a domino effect of issues. Mark and his team were if not the only one, one of the few that when I went to go check on status, they were already there in the kitchen and hard at work and I heard of zero issues or need to check in all day. All the guest gave me many compliments on Mark and his team, the way they were dressed and spoke was very upscale as you would want at a formal event. Food looked great and had many compliments. Everything went according to plan and beyond to help out where needed and my favorite was the overall professionalism and on elegant side presentation of staff and food. They also passed out food during cocktail hour for our guest. We will be hiring Mark and his team in the future for other events we have going on! Appreciate you guys!

My wedding was perfect and that was in large part due to Catering by Mark. From my initial inquiry to the day of, the communication was great, and I never felt worried or stressed at any point during my planning. I was able to completely customize my menu as well as my set up with no issue. Mark is very knowledgeable and had some really great suggestions but was open to what I wanted as well. Most importantly, the food was amazing too. I received so many compliments.

This vendor and his team were an absolute dream! They took the stress away after one meeting and we’re so helpful beyond their scope. Very friendly, very punctual, amazing food and execution, and fair pricing. Tons of experience so you can lean on them for advice and ideas! Thank you again- will recommend you always!

Catering by Mark was amazing! Their entire staff was extremely professional, punctual and took care of every detail. Food was delicious from the appetizers to the main course; everything was flawless. I hired catering , bar services and all rentals from them. Everything came out beautiful and delish! All I can say is WOW. Mark was absolutely amazing, not to mention his wonderful team and wife. She was so quick to respond to all of my inquiries, and Mark always showed up to all meet and greets on time. His food was delicious, his customer service was amazing, he was incredibly on top of all of our needs during our wedding, and he was so kind doing it all. His wife also helped us put together our dream arch. I will certainly be using him for any events I plan and I highly recommend him. Thank you so much for making our day so special.

Mark and his wife, Blanca, are extremely personable. They made me feel at ease in my search for a caterer. They are very flexible and accomodating, and their prices for the selections are very reasonable. On my wedding day, Mark and his staff were the first vendors to arrive. The server and bartender were very friendly. The food was just what we asked for!

All of the staff was very professional and friendly. my guest had a great time. the food was delicious. Mark came and checked in my husband and myself a few tome during the evening to make sure we were good and to if we needed anything. Highly recommended.

Mark was extremely flexible with our needs and wants for our catering. We had several vegetarians, vegans, and very picky eaters, and he was able to accommodate them all. He made delicious items within our Latin themed cuisine request that made every one of of guests very satisfied and happy!

I must have researched a ton of caterers for my wedding but Catering by Mark stood out among all of them. They’re some of the friendliest and most accommodating wedding vendors we came across during planning, and one of the more affordable caterers in the area. I had a ton of questions and changes during the process of planning our menu and ordering rentals and Denise was absolutely amazing at accommodating all of my requests. She and the rest of the team are truly the best! My husband and I loved what we had at our tasting with Mark, and our guests absolutely loved the food at our wedding. Mark and staff were just remarkable at our wedding, and went above and beyond for us and our guests.

Like at lot of people, I was on a tight budget for planning my wedding. I searched for a lot of catering companies and a lot of them were ridiculously expensive. I finally found Catering by Mark. They did not have a lot of reviews and to be honest that scared me a little. I decided to call them and ask for pricing. They rates were very affordable compared to all the other vendors and included set up, clean up and all the plates, glasses, and silverware which you will find that this varies from vendor to vendor. Denise was the one who I talked to most of the time for rates, for the food and timeline arregements. At the wedding, Mark and his staff did an amazing job. They were so attentive with everyone making sure they had food and drinks and anything they needed; including me “the Bride” and “the Groom”. The food was delicious. I received complements from everyone at the wedding; they loved the food and the service. I truly recommend Catering By Mark. Great prices, service, and food. I am more than satisfied and extremely happy with their service.

Food was amazing. Servers and bartenders that were hired made everything flow smoothly. Loved the older gentleman that I had as the main bartender. Made me laugh the entire night... You won't be disappointed with Mark one bit!!

Mark was the best. He is happy to help you get everything with his wonderful staff and his food is amazing. The brie tarts are a must as well as his beef and mashed potatoes. Very reasonable and they work well with you.

We used Catering by Mark for our wedding in January 2017. He came recommended by our venue which used his company for several events and weddings. He was the most resonably priced and worked with us to help guide our wedding day schedule and keep everything working smoothly the night of. Denise his assistant is amazing and works with you every step of the way in planning your menu, linens, table and chair rentals and changes to the invoice as you add or remove people. The staff at our wedding helped breakdown the chairs we rented for the ceremony and move them into the reception area so we could use the same chairs and even assisted putting decorations on the table. The food was delicious, we had the perfect amount for the people we invited (we did a buffet style dinner) plus the photographers and other assistants.The wait staff was very attentive to all of our guests and my husband and i never had to get up for a drink or food, the staff took care of us the whole night. If we had to do it all over again we would choose Catering by Mark. I would highly recommend Mark and his team!!

We met with lots of caterers for our wedding and decided mark was the best. He painted a picture for us of this magical, organized, perfect day. Sadly the day came and none of that happened. First off Mark said he himself would be the chef at our wedding. He showed up for 20 minutes and left and attended another event. He left us a woman chef who was caught drinking the alcohol we bought. We paid for 6 servers who he told us would help with setup, that didn't happen, and we only saw 2 maybe 3 at any given time. Then the worst thing happened, we ran out of food. 3 of my tables did not get any chicken or steak, all they ate for dinner was bow tie pasta. We paid for enough people and he said there would be enough for some to eat twice. My beautiful cake table was covered with cake plates, when we were told the cake would be taken into the kitchen cut and served. After my husband and I cut the cake, there were no servers to be found. My mother went into the kitchen screaming for someone to cut the cake. Then one server began cutting it and putting it on plates, so my guests had to come up to get a piece if they wanted cake. That made it awkward and because of it half of my cake was not eaten and eventually thrown away. At the end of the night two of the servers tried taking cases of wine and beer that we bought. The only good thing I can say is the food tasted good, and thank god for that, because then it would've been a total mess. I'm sad to write this because mark is a great guy, but just didn't deliver at our wedding.

I used this caterer because I remembered the great food at my friends' wedding, and of course the couple highly recommended them. The service was very good. Denise always was very quick to respond to emails. The food was delicious. So many of our guests raved about the it. They were very easy to work with and reasonably priced.

I would highly recommend this caterer to anyone. My partner and I had an arduous & stressful time finding a caterer but once we found & met with Mark all of our worries dissipated. Mark, Denise and the rest of the staff were completely professional and helpful every step of the way. Our main concern was that we would have "typical boring wedding food" and with Catering by Mark we ended up with tasty and creative fare that was interesting and soulful. The service was friendly and fun too. Everything was great and we are so grateful to Catering by Mark for doing such a wonderful job.
