Rhonda will not only make sure your gown is taken care of down to the most impeccable detail but when it comes to preserving your memories she is an artist. She and her trained specialists use a personal approach to each and every gown that is preserved and allows the design to dictate how they place it in your museum quality, acid free box. Most of our brides are brought to tears as the box is opened for viewing.

Over the last three years, Oakwood Cleaners has earned my trust and confidence by providing quality cleaning and care for my clothes and soft furnishings. After my daughter shared the news of her engagement, she asked if she could wear my wedding dress for her ceremony. While my dress had been cleaned and preserved over thirty years ago, when I took it out I found the fabric had yellowed and some alterations were needed. The cleaning process transformed the Egyptian cotton dress and revealed a fresh, white, flowing gown. I was especially happy to see the beautiful fabric was still in excellent condition. The finished product exceeded expectations, and I am honored and proud to share this heirloom with my daughter for her special day.

I had my mothers cream colored wedding dress that I wanted to wear but needed some adjustments to fit me comfortably (apparently I have a wider rib cage and it was a bit tight in the shoulder/upper arm area). We easily found a solution to improve the fit and I left the dress to be cleaned and freshened up. When I went to pick it up I was shocked to see that it was actually white. The staff were friendly and the improvement of color shows their quality and attention to detail. While the price is a bit high, it’s 1000% worth it.

Hannah W’s review says it all. Picked up my daughter’s wedding dress yesterday and they did a beautiful job. Compared to the way my own dress was preserved, this was light years beyond. Besides the lovely packing and presentation, Kylisha took plenty of time showing me everything and making sure I was satisfied. Oakwood has always been my go-to for delicate and important textiles. I've always had great service here, but they completely outdid themselves dry cleaning my wedding dress! We had an outdoor wedding where it rained beforehand and the bottom of my wedding dress (silk and delicate floral lace) was covered in mud. I got it back this week - SPOTLESS. I'm floored. And it smells lovely too. I'm so grateful to Rhonda and her team!!

I was extremely please with Oakwood cleaners. I was looking for some place professional and experienced in preservation of wedding dresses, to preserve my wedding dress and the hubby's suit. Rhonda was very knowledgeable about dress preservations and what the process would entail. It took nearly a year which I was worried about leaving my dress for so long, but I appreciated their communication to let me know when everything was ready. Everything came out nicely presented and I am pleased to have a lasting keepsake of my special day.

I took my bridesmaid dress here for cleaning after a somewhat "wild" wedding. I had all sorts of spray tan, frosting, & general gunk all over it. I brought it in to Oakwood Cleaners & they explained the process very clearly. They seem to be very knowledgeable, as much of the technical info was way over my head. They do a complicated inspection process - photos, listing all the spots & damage in the computer. I have never seen another dry cleaner even come close to that amount of attention to detail. They said that they couldn't guarantee that all the stains would come out, but I wasn't surprised. I trashed that dress! However, when I got it back, it was in better condition than when I got it. All the gunk came off and it was pressed really nicely. It was wrapped in an inflated plastic bag with a cardboard hanging mannequin, which is keeping it from getting smooshed. I'm really happy I splurged to get my dress cleaned here. It was worth every penny. I'd definitely recommend Oakwood for nicer clothes - and everyday clothes, if you have the budget for it. They do a fantastic job. I'll be coming here for all my formal dry cleaning in the future.

Stop looking. This is the best place to take your dress. Beyond the normal 5 star care taken, there’s a black light inspection that helps with the removal of stains you can’t see today that will show up in years to come. The finished product comes in a quality box with a zipper dust cover. Once opened, you’ll find a pair of white gloves for any future handling. As you unfold the dust cover and layers of tissue paper, you’ll find your gown meticulously laid out and carefully folded, the bodice packed with tissue paper to preserve shape. Every detail has been considered for the placement of your dress accessories from veil to extra straps and panels. In addition to all this the work is of course guaranteed. This vendor has certain certifications that set them apart in this part of the industry that you can ask about as well. Is this expensive? In a word yes. Though I’d consider this a relative question depending on how much you paid for your dress and how sentimental you are. I feel very confident I could easily show my granddaughter this dress someday and it look exactly as it does today. How long does this take? Current wait times are between 12-14 months. The actual cleaning portion does include several different phases. Between that, the care taken, the finished product, and the demand, this made sense to me. I wasn’t in a hurry so the wait did not bother me. The communication was perfect for me. Calls and texts. I was notified of anything of importance but not overwhelmed with extra information I didn’t need as the customer. When you pick up your dress, everything is explained and the box is opened so you can view the dress. I even received a hand written note from the person who did the preservation portion for my dress (and that happened to be the owner), thanking me for selecting them for this service and explaining the details of where she had laid my gown’s accessories. I’m very satisfied with my choice and the finished product. I would happily recommend Oakwood Cleaners for Wedding Gown Preservation to anyone looking for the upmost professionalism, stellar customer service, and careful handling of what is often the most expensive and cherished dress many ever purchase.

My parents are about to celebrate 60 years married. They were in the process of downsizing and my mom thought that meant she would no longer have room to keep her wedding dress. She had never preserved it; it had simply been kept hanging in her closet. The dress was in need of some love and restoration (stains from 60 year ago / discoloration of the material) and I luckily found Oakwood. Rhonda treated me like her own family! The whole staff made me feel like they were all there to make this dress beautiful again for my mom. AND THEY DID IT! It is gorgeous and looks just as perfect as it did 60 years ago! My mom cried! Can't recommend Oakwood Cleaners enough for wedding dress cleaning!! My wedding dress was GROSS when I took it to them to get cleaned, stained with dirt, spray tan, makeup, and spilled wine. I honestly didn't have super high hopes about it being restored to perfection because it had been so stained throughout the day but they did it somehow! It was given back to me in pristine condition, steamed and nicely hung up so it would minimize wrinkles in the dress. It gave me even more peace of mind that they use a text number you can request updates from, respond back to any questions they have come up, or get updates on when it will be ready for pick up. It was a long wait to get back since it is hand cleaned but well worth it.

Birdie, the seamstress did such a wonderful job with my dress, she was able to add in pockets to an already difficult dress and sew in some personal touches in the skirt. I bought a wedding gown on sale and thought "This will do." But it needed some slight alterations, and I didn't know who to trust. A friend recommended the alteration crew at Oakwood Cleaners... and I'm incredible grateful. Birdy hit it out of the park. She took a dress that "would do" and transformed it into a dress I was in love with and never wanted to take off. I'm still pretty stunned. She was professional, caring, and thought out of the box to solve problems with the dress and make it the best it could be. I am incredibly grateful and can't recommend her work enough!!!

If I could give Oakwood Cleaners 100 out of 5 stars, I would. Oakwood Cleaners took on a HUGE project of both restoring and tailoring my vintage 61-year-old, 3rd generation wedding dress and turned it into the most beautiful heirloom dress I could have ever asked for. This dress was made in 1961 for my grandmother's wedding day. Then her daughter, my mother, wore it again in 1989 for her wedding. Since my grandmother's wedding 61 years ago, the dress was never once properly preserved or stored. It was in poor shape, to say the least. When I started planning my wedding in 2021, I really didn't entertain the idea of using my mom's wedding dress as my own because I knew it wasn't in good shape and that it was quite old. But after reading some of Oakwood Cleaner's reviews on vintage wedding dress restorations, I decided to take the dress in, and have it looked over - and I am so glad I did. From the second I walked in Oakwood Cleaner's doors, I was treated with nothing but the utmost professionalism and sincerity. They treated my vintage dress with love and reverence, as if it was their own mother's. Their team was extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with the dress, the fabric, and the structure which allowed them to manipulate and restore it to its previous beauty. Oakwood Cleaners even had an in-house seamstress, Birdy, that was able to take on my dress as another project. Since she was knowledgeable about the restoration process and how to deal with vintage fabrics, she provided expert advice and skill in fixing the structure of the dress and tailoring it to my body. This allowed me to have my vintage dress restored, tailored, and pressed all in the same building by the same experts. I cannot say enough how thankful I am for the team at Oakwood Cleaner's. They made it possible for me to wear the same dress on my wedding day that my mother wore on her wedding day and her mother before that wore on her wedding day. This meant more to me than I can possibly explain in this review. But if you're reading this review, wondering if you should take your wedding dress into Oakwood Cleaner's, please deliberate no further and go in!

I highly recommend Oakwood Cleaners for bridal gown preservation. I used them to preserve all 3 of my daughters wedding gowns. They are very easy to work with and went over the details of how to care for the gown once it was preserved. I would not trust anyone else with the preservation.

Wow, I continue to be impressed by Pat and her team at Oakwood Cleaners. I gave them the tough job of cleaning and preserving my daughter’s Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and they went above and beyond! Not only was their customer service top-notch, but I was worried about the hemline which was stained from the yard and they were able to get it looking like-new. I would recommend using Oakwood to clean and preserve any delicate/precious garments.

My granddaughter wanted to wear her mother’s 30 year old Communion dress and veil for her Communion in May. I offered to buy my granddaughter her own dress but she insisted on wearing her mother’s dress. The dress has a lot of lace and beading and the veil has little pearls in the veil itself. The dress also is a bit yellowish. I brought both the dress and veil to Oakland Cleaners because I knew about their cleaning process. I told Oakwood I was not expecting a miracle realizing that both are over 30 years old. Well a miracle I did receive! When I picked up the dress and veil it was as if I was brought back in time. The dress and veil look brand new. The care that Oakwood took in restoring the Communion dress and veil was beyond anything I expected. Believe it or not, I just came home from my daughter’s house because my granddaughter wanted to see the dress. I cannot explain the excitement and light in her eyes upon seeing the dress. She tried it on and I can say the dress looks as if I just bought it and the memories of seeing that dress on my granddaughter are unimaginable. Thank you Oakwood Cleaners. You did an unbelievable job and you made a little girl so happy.

I wore my wedding gown on the beach, in the sand, and ended up with food stains on it - Oakwood Cleaners was amazing in making my gown look brand new and like I never wore it. Not only did they make my dress look wonderful again, they cleaned it within an amazing timeframe so I could have additional photos taken. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for their kindness and care of my special gown. I highly recommend this cleaners for all needs but especially wedding gowns.

I am so glad I entrusted Oakwood Cleaners with the cleaning and preservation of two of my daughters' wedding gowns and veils. Their work is meticulous and topnotch. One of the wedding gowns was yellowed, and the train of the other gown was heavily soiled from reception dancing. The process of cleaning lace and tulle is a painstaking one, but Pat carefully assessed exactly what care was needed with a laser eye. The gowns came back spotless and preserved in keepsake boxes until someone else wants to wear them. I am so glad we have made this additional investment in these gowns to extend the initial investments made in them. They are family heirlooms now. Communication with Pat was always clear and thorough. I knew exactly what the process was going to be, what next steps were, and when to expect the cleaning and preservation to be complete. More than that, she treated the gowns with tender care, as if they were her own. I would encourage anyone to entrust their wedding gown cleaning and preservation needs with Oakwood Cleaners.

Oakwood Cleaners is the only cleaners I trusted to clean and preserve my daughter's wedding dress and veil. I was amazed at the detail of their preservation process and thrilled with how beautifully the gown was arranged and protected in a muslim-covered box. I was shown how to meticulously handle and care for the dress in the future, and a pair of white gloves was even included in the preservation box to wear when touching the gown. They also did a wonderful job cleaning my daughter's rehearsal dinner ensemble, a white jumpsuit with a lace bodice and train. I am so impressed with the caring and loving approach that Oakwood Cleaners takes when dealing with such precious items.

I trusted Oakwood Cleaners with my late mother's wedding gown from the 80s. It had damage from being stuck in a hot attic for years. Some spots I didn't think would come out, but they were able to restore the dress so well that it looked brand new. Not only that, but they got the yellowing out of the veil and train. Oakwood Cleaners did a fabulous job cleaning and preserving my daughter's wedding dress. When I picked it up, they carefully reviewed what they had done, showing me the acid free paper, etc. It was perfectly arranged in the box, with tissue paper used to keep the shape of the bodice. I was shown how to check on the gown every couple of years, and they included cotton gloves for me to wear when I touch it. They had an envelope for all my paperwork, and wrapped the entire box in a muslin cover.

I had my wedding dress preserved at Oakwood Cleaners. It was the dress my mom had worn at her wedding. I knew that my mom had had the dress preserved years ago after she wore it, and that preservation allowed me to wear it. So after my wedding, I wanted to take the same care of the dress. Oakwood Cleaners made that possible. When it was returned to me, Pat gave me careful instructions on how to continue to care for my dress and make the most of the preservation. Taking my dress to Oakwood was certainly the right decision.

Wonderful wonderful experience - everyone was so kind and helpful! I got married in Napa last August - lots of dancing and fun was at had at the reception. My dress came home with several wine spills and I wasn't sure any of them would ever truly come out. Pat assured us that they could clean and preserve my wedding dress. They didn't return the dress until it was as good as new! Very pleased with the result and the level of care and service. It took a couple of months, but they were diligent about updating us throughout the process. I'm so glad that I went to Oakwood Cleaners to have my wedding dress cleaned and preserved! We inspected my dress together before leaving it with the team, walking through any areas of concern and explaining what the steps for the preserving and cleaning process were. Upon picking up my wedding dress, I was very happy with their ability to remove signs of dirt from my train! They packaged up the dress well so that it could make a drive across the country to a new city my husband and I moved to. For my wedding I wore my mother's vintage wedding gown from the 1970's, made with very delicate lace and buttons. After the wedding I wanted to have it cleaned and preserved in case someone special would like to wear it in the future. The ladies at Oakwood Cleaners were wonderful and really made me feel like my gown would be as treasured as them as it is by me. When I dropped it off they described the cleaning process and what kinds of repairs they would also make if needed. When I picked it up, it looked perfect, just incredible. The bodice and sleeves are padded inside to keep their shape, wrapped in acid-free paper, and gloves are included in case it needs to be handled. The box is sturdy and slides inside a cloth dust cover - the whole package looks like a treasure that belongs in a museum. My mom was amazed and said it looks like the day she bought it. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience from start to finish. I would absolutely return in a heartbeat and would recommend their services without hesitation.

I am so happy I made the decision to bring my daughter's gorgeous wedding gown to Oakwood Cleaners. A friend had suggested that I have Oakwood clean and preserve the wedding gown. The meticulous attention to detail and customized care given to our gown was unlike anything I had experienced with dry cleaners in the past. I had the best experience at Oakwood I could have ever imagined. I came in with a wedding dress I had purchased at a consignment shop and needed it cleaned before my wedding. Not only was the staff super attentive to detail, but they all seemed so knowledgeable about the entire process and explained basically from start to finish what would be happening. I loved how sweet and friendly everyone was, the best part being the Earth friendly products and packaging. Also, knowing that the Hermitage store I brought it in to was the location it would be cleaned at gave me so much reassurance because I've heard horror stories of what could happen at other places. When I came in to pick it up it seemed as though their staff were just as excited about how beautiful the dress looked as I was! I loved my wedding gown so much and really wanted to wear it every day. It was such a wonderful experience to bring it to Oakwood Cleaners, because they loved it too. I knew they would take care of it in the same manor if not better than I would. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It took a while for them to finish and I did call a couple of times to check on it, however, they never seemed to mind and had no problem updating me. It was worth the wait-the gown was preserved BEAUTIFULLY! I was very impressed that I could open the box and touch it. I love love love that they gave me a lifetime guarantee and I know they will be there for me anytime. After my experience I can't imagine putting my items in the care of any other cleaners. I'm thoroughly impressed.
