This hotel is amazing! My husband and I got married here last month. I fell in love with the Renaissance Schaumburg right away. It is so beautiful, big, and clean. Not to mention, the staff is amazing. Audrey was our event manager and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. She took over a couple months before our wedding since the previous manager got relocated. Audrey was responsive and always willing to help out. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
My husband and I chose this vendor for our wedding reception and we would recommend it to anyone and everyone for their wedding! What is great about this vendor is that the majority of the decorations (think tables, chairs, linens, etc.), all the food, the cake, and alcohol, are organized in-house by them. This makes planning soooo much easier.
The food there is FANTASTIC! Every guest who came up to us after dinner (and even after the wedding) said this was the best wedding food and cakes (we had a wedding cake and a groom's cake) they had ever had!
The waitstaff is incredible! They were kind enough to help clean up the items that we had brought in (think centerpieces, guest book table items, sweetheart table decorations, etc.) after the wedding even though technically they weren't required to do so.
If you want an elegant vibe and really great food for your wedding, I would recommend this reception venue.
On September 25, 2021, my son and daughter-in-law were married here and had their reception/cocktail party also at the facility. It was amazing beyond belief. The staff, facility went beyond expectations. I would highly recommend it. Thank you for making our stay, the day and all-around event, magnificent.

Heidi and her team did an amazing job. The food was spectacular (ours and our guests opinion), the venue was huge and accommodated all our our requests. I was a little nervous because there was a convention and a wedding next door to us, but they had lots of security and staff to navigate guests to the right event. I was very happy with the final result and our wedding was perfect.
We booked the Schaumburg Renaissance for our July 2018 wedding venue. As we were researching venues – the Schaumburg Renaissance stuck out right away for a few reasons: 1. The Ballroom and Entrance are breathtaking, 2. It is a special place for my husband and I (we have been dating since high school and went to both proms there together), and 3. We knew even before booking we were going to be well taken care of by the team!
We had our first appointment with Meredith to see the space and understand what the venue could provide us. Different from other appointments, she explained how the team wanted to work with us and customize our wedding to be exactly what we wanted – not just pick a package. That sealed the deal and we booked our wedding!
Quickly after booking we got a message from our coordinator, Sarah. She was wonderful to work with during the entire planning and wedding for many reasons. My husband and I moved to Nashville in the middle of wedding planning - so as you can imagine we were worried about planning our Chicago wedding from Nashville. However, Sarah quickly put our worries to ease. She accommodated our schedules and the long distance by always being available. Her and the team continued to work with us making everything “Maria and Billy”. This showed she and the team really cared about us!
The whole team was phenomenal the day of. All our guests complicated how wonderful not only our wedding was, but the entire staff servicing the event – truly it’s a uniquely talented and kind group at the Renaissance Schaumburg!
We are so thankful to the entire staff at the Renaissance Schaumburg for making our dream wedding come true, and especially Sarah. We give the highest compliments to the team and highly recommend others to choose the Schaumburg Renaissance for their wedding venue!
I was invited to a wedding reception here. The place itself is beautiful. Everything was so nicely decorated and the bar area was just outside the room. However, the food and presentation was a total joke. The waiter passed out the soup bowls that literally had a skinny piece of bread and a teaspoon of soup in it. The waiter then proceeded to walk from person to person with a soup ladle in his hands, filling the bowls to the top. Wtf! Why not just fill the bowls up BEFORE you give them to the guests. Everyone at my table thought this was a joke. You would think a venue like this would have better class. Instead everyone was looking at their bowl "asking were the soup was. And then you have this dope with a soup ladle over your head filling your plate!
Renaissance Schaumburg was a wonderful place to host our wedding reception. The team worked so closely with us for the year up to the event- Vicki would answer my emailed questions about 30 minutes after I sent them at all hours of the day/evening. They made sure that everything was set up just the way we wanted it to be, and made sure our day ran smoothly. (An event planner and maitre d' were on hand during the entire event.) The food/cake was wonderful (SO many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had) and they went above and beyond to make our day special. To top it all off, the hotel is gorgeous and the guest rooms beautiful- and very reasonable! We definitely would host our reception here again.
They were recommended by our wedding planner but ultimately the choice was ours. Little did we realize that we loved it just as much as her did! They made the planning super easy and fun. Never once did I have any issues or complaints about them. They made me and my Husband feel like royalty! They added many things that made us feel special as well as our wedding guests. All of our guests even mentioned how beautiful the space was and how accommodating their guests services were. As a bride to be out of state they answered ALL my emails in a timely manner as well. Never could we have imagined how hospitable they were to all of us!
We worked very closely with Katie Flodin for almost a year prior to our event. We also worked with Rica and Vasco more recently. Katie's attention to detail was superb, leaving nothing to chance. Katie was friendly, understanding, accommodating and extremely professional throughout the wedding planning process. Katie and her team worked extremely well with our wedding planner, Barbara Moss, to pull off a flawless wedding. Our wedding planner was also impressed with Katie's thoroughness and attention to detail. Although Katie was unable to attend our event, we knew we were in good hands with her team and your staff and beyond pleased with your services.
We had some hesitations with the Lego Convention and Jewelry Convention taking place at the same time as our wedding, however, no way did they negatively impact our event. In fact, several of our guests attended the conventions during their free time!
Downtime was also spent at the hotel lounge/bar/restaurant where staff including Kathy, at the bar, was particularly accommodating extending last call for wedding guests as our wedding was over. The morning after brunch was extremely well put together, as well.
Coordination from planning, setup, greeting guests, room turn-over, bar, food, wedding rehearsal and overall coordination were outstanding. Our guests were blown away at how beautiful the wedding was and many commented on how lovely the hotel and services were.
Without hesitation, we would be happy to provide any feedback to others looking at the Renaissance for their event.
The Renaissance was everything I could have asked for and more. From our first meeting until after our wedding, the staff at the Renaissance went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect day. The venue is beautiful and photographs well. They were very accommodating with hotel rooms and provided everything we needed to get ready. The bridal suite was amazing. Well worth it!
Wow! We had an amazing wedding at the Renaissance! They were very detail oriented, responded quickly to emails, and the whole day came together great! They were willing to add special touches that we wanted. They were also very flexible about special catering requirements- they made a special piece of cake for a cousin who was severely allergic to nuts, and they brought in special Kosher meals for some of our guests!! I didn't worry about a single thing. They also kept track of the gifts that people brought, and gathered everything at the end of the night. They also did a great job running the reception- keeping curious bystanders from coming in, and they also got things out of my dad's car when we forgot them!
Our guests said it was the best wedding ever, amazing food, and great ambience.
We used Lindsay as our planner and I cannot say enough good things! I was planning from a distance so my mom interacted alot with the hotel, and they were really good about making sure that we all got what we wanted!
The attention to detail was out of this world. We had a very loose vision of what we wanted and the event planners @ Renaissance pulled it all together, from A to Z. Everyone was polite, prompt, helpful, and just plain fantastic.
I can't recommend this venue enough. Don't pass up the chance to have your party here.

The Renaissance Schaumburg was absolutely beautiful for our reception. The person we worked with and would HIGHLY recommend was Karyn Midona. The renaissance helped us and was willing to be flexible on some of the things and customize our wedding reception just for us. Karyn was very responsive to my many emails and phone calls and would always get back to me very quickly. We were able to take advantage of free chair covers(this was an incentive). Everyone even people who tend to be picky about food said it was great food. We had three options; steak, chicken, and fish (halibut). I had the steak and my husband had the fish both were perfectly done and very tasty.
