They worked with us to create an awesome experience for us and our guests! The hors devours were amazing. They were very professional, organized, on time, and worked well with other vendors/venue!

all the way down to our favorite foods. The variety of food options and the ability to customize our menu (like including chicken parm as an entrée) was really important for us. We picked food that was very specific to us, like our favorite foods (chicken parm and penne vodka), a crab app as I'm from Maryland, and the flat bread pizzas as we make homemade pizza regularly. We were also blown away by the food tasting - especially on the steak. We couldn't believe how good it was! In going through the process, we did make a bunch of changes the menu and had lots of questions when it came to preparing for the signature drink and deciding on alcohol and Amanda was always incredibly helpful and very quick to respond! On the day of our wedding, we did not attend our cocktail hour due to photos, so we LOVED that a sampler board of the apps were waiting for us at the table. Also, one of our signature drinks was a Lavender Moscow Mule, to which Rettew took to the next level. It was such a nice touch, that I have not seen used at wedding previously! The day after our wedding we ran into Rita from Rettew the day after the wedding in Lititz and she stopped us and shared some incredibly kind words about our wedding. We couldn't believe that she recognized us or remembered such specific details of the day, including the way our tables had polaroid photos of us instead of traditional table numbers. I cannot even express how incredible it was to hear her share such kind words! We would 100% suggest choosing Rettew for your wedding day (or any catered event)!

The meal was delicious—we’re still hearing compliments about it from our guests—herb roasted chicken breast, brisket with bbq sauce, haricots verts, and scalloped potatoes. And delectable mini desserts as well. Best reception food we’ve ever had! The servers were professional and polite and worked hard all night. Special shout-out to the bartenders who were so efficient and made a special signature drink from a recipe we gave them from a Venice, FL restaurant. What they made was even better than the original! Would definitely have Rettew’s cater an event for us again—it was a great experience!

em. The tasting was excellent and the serving sizes were big enough for us to actually get an idea of what the dishes were like, not just one bite. They let us try the hor d'oeurves we were interested in picking but also some of their other popular items so we had more items to keep in mind when deciding. We also used Rettew's Catering for our linen, flatware, and dishware rentals and it was a seamless and easy process. They coordinated with our venue to drop off the rentals and get everything set up day-of. On the wedding day, the food was just as delicious as it was at the tasting and we had guests commenting on how good the food was throughout the night and the days after! The food was served quickly to all tables and everything was nice and hot when guests got it. A bonus: they packaged up an extra meal for my groom and me and it was a great, easy dinner when we arrived at our honeymoon hotel the day after our wedding :) We were assigned Katelyn to work with for the detail planning and she was FANTASTIC. She responded promptly and didn't make me feel like any of my questions were menial or unimportant. I always felt like she was on the same page I was about everything regarding our cocktail hour and reception. My ONLY critique is that our wedding toast beverages were not done correctly. We had offered a non-alcoholic option to both child and adult guests, along with giving the children a plastic flute at their seats to not have to worry about glass in the hands of young ones, and Katelyn and I worked out a color coding system to let them know which adult seats also needed the non-alcoholic drink option for toasts. However, later on in the night, I was informed that all adults were given the champagne instead of being served their drink choice based on the color code system we had established. None of the guests complained, but it was frustrating to learn that guests were not given what they had asked for. Now, the day of the wedding, Katelyn was not on site to oversee the catering services so I'm not sure if that is what led to the mix up, if the lead person was not aware of the two toast beverage options for adult guests. I felt bad for the adults who, for their own individual reasons, wanted a non-alcoholic toast beverage but were not served accordingly. It was a small hiccup that did not ruin the night but something frustrating nonetheless. All of that being said, I would absolutely recommend Rettew's Catering to any couple!!! Delicious food, great staff, prompt service at the reception, smooth operations.

We also used their bartending/alcohol service which made things so much easier on us for the day of and in the planning process. Everything tasted great, was presented as if it was our wedding day, and no tweak or wish of ours was too much for Rettew's to graciously accept. As our wedding day got closer, our coordinator was wonderful handling various tweaks, add ons, drop offs. We never felt like a burden to the team; they made us feel like everything was in control. Day of, you won't be disappointed with the staff. I think every single server went out of there way to congratulate us and ask if there was anything the could get us (an extra app, a drink refill, etc.)... and best of all, you could tell they were 1000% genuine. Didn't seem like they were checking a box, but truly wishing us the best. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

For the changes we did make, they easily and quickly provided info on what they could do and how any changes affected our budget. My mom especially appreciated the attention to detail, down to the “rustic baguette” (instead of just listing “bread” that every other caterer did). Our tasting was fantastic, I loved that they provided a “cake on the go” box with cupcake-size samples to choose cake, filling, and icing flavors for our small cutting cake! I sent a photo of cake style I liked and they NAILED it! Finally, the day of our wedding was fantastic - a server ensured that my husband and I had a tray of all of our apps during cocktail hour so we could still munch while talking to people, someone was always there ensuring we had drinks if we wanted, and our dinner was served first so we could enjoy it and still have plenty of time to walk around our tables and chat. It was so convenient that they took care of everything beyond food, like place settings, linens, and bartending services. They even provided insight on amounts of alcohol to buy given our guest count and reception time. Last but NOT least, our ice cream sundae dessert bar was a HIT with our guests - kids and adults alike! We will definitely recommend Rettew’s to anyone in the area in the future!

f the most amazing food I've ever had! Their Crab Dip is A+++ 100% recommend! We wanted to have a winter menu and left it up to them to create that for us and it was perfect. We also did our dessert table through them and everything was 100% gluten free and 100% full of flavor! Not a single thing had gluten in it and our guests had no idea and were completely blown away with how amazing everything was. We had 4 different petite desserts as well as a cake. They Never once told us they couldn't make something gluten free and that was music to our ears! Even at our menu tasting we tried 4 different kinds of cake! It really means a lot when a caterer treats you equal to another person who doesn't have food allergies. To me, it shows they care about their client, takes the allergy serious, and doesn't take the easy way out of only offering basic flavors and foods. Communication was fantastic and we hope to work with them again in the future! We recommend for Food Allergies & LGBT Couples.

They went above and beyond; from providing a plate of snacks for my bridesmaids and I before the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and reception, even giving the bride and groom plates of food to take back to the hotel with us! We mostly worked with Michelle after having to postpone due to COVID. She was wonderful, quick to respond to emails, and listened to everything we wanted. She was also there the day of our wedding to make sure everything ran smooth. You will not be disappointed when you hire Rettew's Catering!

(it was held privately with just my family in nice dining room) and couldn’t believe we actually trialed full meals!! We also got to try all of our appetizers on that day too. One of my favorite parts was receiving boxes of every cake flavor, filling and icing that my fiancé and I had fun sampling at home!!! We absolutely loved the banana cake and cream cheese frosting so we chose that as our topper cake and an assortment of desserts for our guests. Our meals were salmon and filet mignon and were SO GOOD at the reception. The mashed potatos were out of this world! We also got to keep leftovers, which my husband and I are enjoying the week after the wedding :) I highly recommend Rettew’s and can’t say enough good things!!! Thank you Michelle, Jen and everyone else who made our wedding feast dreams come true!

Everything was incredible, and we heard very positive reviews about each menu option (beef, chicken, vegetarian) during the dinner and all of our hor d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, including the tomato soup and grilled cheese crouton that added some whimsy to our fall menu. We also had Rettew's provide our cake and a dessert display that our guests were very excited about. The service during cocktail hour and the reception was fantastic, the bartenders were on top of everything and never left anyone waiting, and set-up/clean-up was handled quickly. We are so happy we chose Rettew's, and you will be too!

Guests really enjoyed our mini desserts as well (cheesecake, macaroons, mousse cups, raspberry shortcake parfait, and fruit tarts). Katelyn from Rettew's was on-site during our wedding and was extremely helpful and there for us the entire night. The waiter's and bartender's service was fantastic for both the cocktail hour and reception. We worked primarily with Michelle for the process leading up to the wedding. Michelle was a pleasure to work with and was extremely accommodating and always quick to respond to questions that we had. They also had a great selection of tablecloths and decor that fit our vision perfectly. Overall, the food and service Rettew's provided was second to none and was truly enjoyed by all of our guests.

he perfect day. She answered endless questions and had multiple calls to ensure our every need was met. When our big day came, her husband Michael G. greeted us and reviewed all the details to make sure everything in line. Mike made sure to bring us multiple plates of cheesesteak egg rolls and shrimp cocktail while we completed our photos around the property. When dinner came, all our guests were quickly served and taken care of. The food was just as amazing as it was during the tasting! I had multiple guests tell me the short rib was the best they've ever had...and we even received compliments on the juicy grilled chicken and penne a la vodka. But the main win overall was the parmesan smashed potatoes, everyone loved them! Lastly, all my mom's friend kept asking for the recipe for the citrus punch, so give it a shot if you're into that sort of thing. Finally, i'm not much of a dessert guy...but the assortment of mini desserts we had were awesome (mini cheesecake, macaroons, cupcakes). I hope to have an event big enough to enlist Rettew's services again!

groan because the wedding meal was awful. That is NOT the case with Rettew's. Our daughter was married on 9/18/21. The food tasted exactly like it did during our tasting a year ago. Superb. Almost every person at the wedding had an unsolicited comment that their meal was delicious. Many said it was the best dinner and hor d'eorves they had ever had. Never cut corners on the food. Cut elsewhere, but not on that! We felt the price we paid was reasonable and the value was excellent. Hats off to Rettew's for an amazing meal AND service (I almost forgot that!) You helped make their wedding extraordinary!

I then changed my venue, and Michelle worked directly with me and my new venue to get onboarded without a hitch. And then on wedding day, the food was DELICIOUS. My motto is that if you don’t remember the food at someone’s wedding then that’s a good sign. Not the case with Rettew’s! I had multiple guests on the day of and afterwards remark on how delicious their meals were. Apps were also so yummy and their presentation is top notch. With so many important decisions that go into the wedding planning process, I am so thankful for the entire Rettew’s team for their professionalism, quality of product and overall demeanor. The best! I had been working with Jennifer specifically to plan this event and customize everything for about 150 guest. Due to last minute changes the event was downsized to about 75 people just a little over a month before the event date. I was extremely stressed as I had to try to make adjustments to each vendor to accommodate my new needs. Rettew's Catering by far was the most accommodating. Not only did they allow me to make last minute changes, Jennifer took the time to sit down and help recommend what would be best (downsizing entree foods to mini appetizers, re-designing my table floor plan, and assuring I had the correct amount of linens, staff on hand, etc). The food was just as incredible as the staff themself. I had countless compliments from my guest on how amazing the food was. I had chicken and waffles on a stick, goat cheese canapés, tomato bisque shooters, mini tacos, pulled pork sliders, and homemade mac and cheese. The open bar staff was great as well, very friendly and quick. Overall, Rettew's Catering is so professional and truly care about their customers. I would 100% use them again for any future events.

Not only was everything delicious (and that is coming from a family of "foodies"), but both Michelle and Jennifer were SO patient throughout the whole entire process! We ended up ordering our cake through them and I am so glad we did- it was so beautiful and delicious! During our wedding, my husband and I were treated like royalty. After leaving the reception for sunset pictures, Rettew's took back our meals that were placed at our table and replaced them with fresh, hot food when we got back. They even delivered appetizers to our bridal suite to make sure we were all able to enjoy cocktail hour because we were out taking pictures! Rettew's thank you for putting up with our constant questions and menu changes. Thank you for adding things to your menu just to fit our needs! We were so happy with our experience and I am hoping to get to attend a wedding that Rettew's caters soon to enjoy it all over again!

Rettew's cost was slightly higher than some other caterers we looked at but the quality of the service and food explains why and was hands down worth every penny in my opinion. Jennifer was there to oversee the day and she checked in with me multiple times to make sure we were taken care of - they left a plate of appetizers on our sweetheart table which was amazing, packaged us to-go boxes at the end of the night since we didn't get to eat all of our meal, and were very prompt and professional. They also were incredibly flexible working with us when COVID caused our original wedding plans to change. I would recommend them to anyone - 10/10!

the pricing was just too high for what was being asked for. With selecting some of the cheaper options, it seemed like we also got the cheaper service. There were times where the bartender would just walk away, leaving the bar open. The staff didn't know what types of cheese or food was on the platter during cocktail hour. There were supposedly a need for a lot of staff, in which we saw much less. Food was good for catered event, however, it was nothing special. We had a custom cookie cake idea, in which they said they would test and get right for cutting and serving. It looked nothing at all like we showed a picture of, let alone you couldn't even cut into it. Seemed like they forgot to test it and just threw something together last minute. Overall it may seem like we had a bad experience, but it was exactly what I rated it; a 3.5-4 star service.
