We worked with Nathan for our May 2024 wedding, and the results were stunning. We worked with a lot of great vendors that day, but choosing RBP was by far the best decision we made. Nathan just has a unique eye and vision, and he would get us in these amazing photos but also only take a few seconds for each shot. All of our friends and family were blown away by the results! The best part about working with him is that he understands the big day isn't just about taking photos. He made everything so fast, easy, and seamless for everyone while still delivering amazing results. He was also just so fun and enjoyable to be around all day - after our wedding, we received so many compliments from family and friends about how much they liked him! Nathan is also incredibly professional and easy to work with. The process of booking with him was so smooth, and the turnaround time to get our photos was surprisingly fast. We received sneak peeks the next day after both our rehearsal and our wedding, and we were able to see the full gallery of photos within just a couple of weeks. We couldn't recommend RBP enough and are so excited to see our wedding albums!

I could not recommend Nathan Bell and his team enough! He was very easy to work with before our wedding and listened to what we wanted with our wedding photos and delivered that on the day of. I was impressed with how he remembered the small details like the names of our family members. It made us feel important to him. We had a wedding party of 27 people and Nathan and his team made these pictures as seamless as possible. Our wedding party raved about how fun they were to work with and how easy pictures were (this normally isn’t the case with our friends). Also, I have to mention the drone that Nathan used for our ceremony!! It is so special to have a picture of all of our guests in one place. Every single guest LOVED this special touch! Nathan was amazing to work with and the pictures are absolutely beautiful!! He brought so much energy and made taking lots of pictures painless and super quick. Phenomenal! Mell and assistant Michael did a wonderful job on our wedding day and made everything so easy. Mell put everyone at ease and they got so many great shots. Nathan edited the photos, went through them with us, and put together the perfect wedding album. Everything about Nathan and Charles were out of this world!!! They captured the perfect moments, emotions and memories from start to finish. They worked so well with us and our personalities and were able to curate a book that matched us to a TEE! Literally they best experience from start to finish, planning, meetings, timeline, day of and the reveal. The Italian book we received and the little gift were so amazing. And everything was timely. They captured our dynamic as a couple and worked so efficiently the entire day. My biggest concern was not being able to make it to cocktail hour (because I loved our food) and they made sure I got there with 40 minutes to spare. Such a great day I wish I could relive OVER AND OVER AND OVER because of these guys. By the end of the night I swore they were my best friends! If you’re considering booking Richard Bell Photography for your wedding, just do it - you will not regret it! I knew I wanted a more dramatic, cinematic style of photography and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to find it in the Charleston area where the bright/white style is so prevalent. Almost every venue we visited mentioned Richard Bell and once I took a look at their work, I understood why. From our first meeting on Zoom to our reveal, Nathan was an absolute joy to work with. In my profession, I’ve worked with a lot of photographers and Nathan blew me away with his expertise, attention to detail, and his ability to keep us on a perfect schedule to get all of the photos we wanted. He remembered little details we discussed and took our vision and ideas to heart, but was also never afraid to suggest an alternative he knew would work even better and wow, was he always right! Nathan and Heather were everywhere they needed to be the entire day, but they never felt intrusive. Nathan even helped my bridesmaids with my veil and my bustle! It’s literally not possible to put into words how incredible our photos and album turned out. The moments they captured were perfection and so many of our wedding guests not only complimented how amazing the photos were, but how amazing Nathan and Heather were to be around. Nathan was creative, professional, and very easy to work with in getting the special pictures we wanted for our wedding. He delighted us with his creativity for capturing unique moments of family, squirmy kids, and the two of us. We are beyond happy with the results we had from working with Nathan. It rained on our wedding day, so we had to change venues the day before, which is very stressful for a bride & groom! We had an evening wedding in the winter, but his nighttime shots are beautiful - Nathan has a way of working with lighting that is pure artistry. You will not go wrong with Richard Bell!

Nathan, Heather and Justin were an absolutely amazing photography team! Our photos came out so great! The best of each moment was captured at just the right time. When we met with Nathan to view them, he told us he had chosen only the best ones to give us a taste of what he captured but when we saw all of them, we thought they were all pretty incredible. I don’t know where to begin with reviewing Nathan Bell. Photos were an incredibly important part of our wedding day and the photographer was probably the vendor we spent the most time searching for. After viewing many of his photos online we had our initial call with Nathan and knew the search was over. Not only does Nathan do amazing things with a camera but he is a great person to know and work with. We loved his dynamic engaging photos and the fact that he has a drone he can use for photos too was just another positive in the long list. Nathan made our experience incredibly easy and has a true gift for how to organize the event and ensure that every photo we could have ever wanted (and many more) were captured. Nathan’s skill and personality were one of the highlights of our wedding day. We had many family and friends comment on how good he was and ask us how we found him. Nathan from Richard Bell was amazing from start to finish! He walked me through the timeline and we determined who would be photographed and when. He was very familiar with my venue which was a huge plus! He knew exactly where to shoot based on the time of day and lighting. He also captured so many detailed shots including our guests on the dance floor! When it came time for our reveal he presented us with the most beautiful slide show and album. Booking a photographer and videographer for your big day is a HUGE decision, hiring Richard Bell Photography is a choice I would make over and over again!!!! I spoke to Nathan on the phone before officially booking, the way he discussed capturing moments such as a first look, interaction with grandparents, special hand holding moments, had me sold. What is SO special about Nathan is he doesn't just email you a link when your photos are ready, he invites you back to his office to relive your big day on a big screen and make the most perfect wedding album. Nathan feels like part of the family now and will hopefully one day be able to capture our family growing!

Very professional and helpful throughout the whole process of the wedding. The day of the wedding they were ready to go! Respectful to all guests but not getting pushed around by "bossy" mothers and family members either. After the big day we were invited to the office to look over the "best of" and select the photos for our album. Even touched up some items right in front of us to make some photos that much better. Very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend to any couple looking for high quality photos of their big day.

If you are having a Charleston wedding, you MUST book Nathan and his team as your wedding photographer(s)! My husband and I had no idea what to look for in a wedding photographer, but when we initially talked on the phone with Nathan we immediately knew that he was our guy! Nathan will patiently listen to your vision of how you want your wedding captured and will add his creative, artistic perspective in order to capture EXACTLY what you are looking for and more! The day of our wedding my husband and I had planned on doing pictures by the marina...of course, it turned out to be cold, windy, and rainy. No matter, Nathan and his team picked out perfect alternative places to capture all of our photos. He has asked us beforehand what groups of photos we wanted and didn't want, which made time fly by and picture-taking seamless. The day after our wedding, my husband and I received a text from Nathan saying he was in the area and had a few minutes to capture those marina pictures we had wanted. He spent 20 minutes with us at sunset capturing exactly what my husband and I wanted, at no extra cost! That Nathan took the time to do this after our wedding was over was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding weekend! To say that Nathan and his team put 100% effort into their beautiful photography is an understatement. We are so happy that he was able to capture our special day!

This is one of the best decisions that we made! We got married in the aquarium which has notoriously difficult lighting and wanted someone who knew how to work with that. Richard Bell’s website has the aquarium as a featured location with a lot of amazing pictures. Nathan was our lead photographer and the pictures that we got back are absolutely stunning! I normally don't write reviews, but I absolutely had to write a review for Richard Bell photography because they are the absolute best!!! Mel Bell not only took amazing photographs at both our wedding and engagement photo shoot, but she was also an absolute pleasure to work with! Our families absolutely LOVED Mel and she couldn't have been easier to work with! Our engagement and wedding photographs are absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier!!!! I would highly recommend Richard Bell photography and would give them more than five stars if I could!

Richard Bell Photography was the first wedding decision we made and everything else was done around Nathan's availability. They're THAT good. You can tell from the initial phone conversation. Our wedding day turned into a torrential downpour, at an outdoor venue (The Beautiful Legare Waring House), and the photos Nathan and Charles were able to capture were seriously stunning. I didn't even have a list of photos I wanted, you can trust them that much. Our photos were back in less than a month and the entire set up for viewing pictures, going through them for an album and getting the album back was so efficient and easy. We are not from Charleston and he suggested coming down a few months early to meet him and take some engagement pictures and this also was quick, easy and the photos were all so beautiful. You don't get that often from a total stranger. Do yourselves a favor. Book. This. Vendor. You will not regret it.

The best choice we could have made! Nathan was on the ball the entire day. He caught every moment from the perfect angle. He was so patient yet efficient. Worth every penny!! Amazing photos and amazing photographers. Our wedding day was a little bit crazy to say the least and most everything didn’t go as planned but they came through! I, like most of you ladies probably reading all these reviews, debated for a LONG time to do a boudoir photoshoot of the body I’d become so proud of. Then of course by procrastinating, I lost my opportunity when I realized I was pregnant. So, I decided I’d do a boudoir/maternity shoot. If I had known how amazing the experience was going to be, I wouldn’t have hesitated more than a few minutes. Just doing the photoshoot was worth every penny. When I arrived, I was put in a beauty chair and Shayla from Paperdolls https://www.mycharlestonweddinghair.com/index2.php#!/HOME did my hair and makeup. She knew without even asking that I wanted a subtle yet sexy look and made me look incredible and gave me the confidence to parade around half-naked in the studio like a queen. When I entered the first “shot” Mell helped me relax by just talking and chatting about my baby and baby names. When she started shooting, she made me laugh, gave me wonderful suggestions and showed me a few sneak peeks to boost my confidence. She is an amazing person to work with and knows all the angles, poses, and motivational techniques to keep you comfortable and happy and looking your best during the photoshoot. She takes ALL the stress out of the way with her ease and comfort at what she does. And her studio is perfect for anything you would want to do. From the props, shoes, and clothes she is happy to lend you, to the multiple “looks” to choose from, she has EVERYTHING and great ideas on how to use them all. I even borrowed a sheer pink ruffle skirt that looked amazing on my 7-month belly. I had so much fun celebrating my protruding belly and having the connection with my baby captured forever. Mell was able to understand my vision for having a classy and tasteful maternity shoot with a boudoir theme. She captured me in various poses and outfits and I was able to have some beautiful shots of my belly and baby while also a few playful and sexy ones for just me and my significant other. I left the photoshoot feeling like a Goddess! A few weeks later we went through the final pictures and I loved every single one of them. It was so hard to choose which ones I wanted in my photobook. From the very first email Mell was a pleasure to work with. The experience AND the photos are EXACTLY what I envisioned! So, if you’re hesitating JUST BOOK IT!

I can't say enough about Nathan and his team. We did our engagement shot in Charleston and he shot our wedding at Middleton Place. The photos are AMAZING!!! We had so much fun working with Nathan and Heather on our wedding day. We felt so comfortable, and it shows in all of the photos. The 'big picture' shots are what drew me to Richard Bell Photography and Nathan certainly delivered. We have so many wonderful photos that show the vast joy of the whole day and can't thank this team enough.

I am so glad I did my Boudoir photos with mellBella! I was nervous at first, but that feeling went away very quickly because Mel and Wanda are great at making you feel comfortable and beautiful. It was honestly so much fun!! I got the pictures as a wedding present to my future husband. He hasn't seen them yet, but I think he will like them :) I felt like it was a present for both of us because I felt so good about myself when it was done. I can't wait to give them to him!

Richard Bell Photography was a dream come true. Nathan, our head photographer, was amazing - he had the perfect balance between directing our pictures and letting us be ourselves and enjoy the moment. We love the whole crew and will 100% use them for photography needs in the future.

They were at the top of my price range and I was a little nervous about spending that much on photography, but it was SO WORTH IT. In all honesty, I’ve never had THIS much fun with a photo shoot. These ladies made me look and feel beautiful and they took away any fears or insecurities I normally have when it comes to pictures. I cannot recommend these ladies enough for doing such a job well done and working with my husband and I to give us the best images possible. I will certainly be wanting to do this again in the future, and I would be thrilled to have these ladies be the faces behind the camera. Nathan shot our wedding for us! He was on time, professional, and extremely quick, which we appreciated in our big group photos with lots of family. Our pictures came back quick, and he was very good at communicating.

Nathan and his team are incredible. The complementary engagement photo shoot really allowed us to get to know our photographer and resulted in what are our favorite photos. We highly recommend the gifyyy station as it was a giant hit with our guests.... as far as wedding photography; if you want to relax and enjoy every moment of your wedding day without taking hours out for dedicated photos then this is the way to go. We ended up with over a thousand amazing pictures that captured the night perfectly without having to worry about missing out on the experience. Don't even think about it - just hire Richard Bell Photography. We couldn't be more happy with our choice to work with Nathan and his team! I went in thinking we'll do basic photography, no videography. I couldn't have been more wrong... we did an engagement shoot, wedding photography, videography, and purchased an engagement book, the incredible Italian crafted wedding album (the album holder has a screen to view the wedding video), the wedding video (multiple cuts), and the digital rights. (This is a result of the amazing work Nathan and his team create... not an aggressive sales push.) From our first 'getting to know each other' call with Nathan, he made us feel at ease and confident in his/his team's abilities. He's/His team is organized, thoughtful, and so so good at what they do! My husband and I are both a bit shy and don't like to be the center of attention and Nathan was able to make us feel comfortable and get some really, really good shots! From a systems/admin perspective, the application process is super easy as is the invoicing system (with reminders and everything). He and his team were available to answer questions and super responsive throughout our relationship. The magic didn't end at the wedding (which went so smoothly and was a ton of fun!) - Nathan and his team kept in touch after the wedding and organized a wonderful and thoughtful photo review session - which was so hard because we loved everything :) He and his team are the best - highly recommend!!

We could not be more thrilled with our photos. Mell was amazing throughout the entire planning process (and we were planning a destination wedding from South Florida). She was communicative, checked in with us regularly, and always remembered details about our life as a couple. During the wedding day she was super quick and got all of the shots we needed (and we have a large family). She made sure to get shots at each location at the venue I mentioned I liked, plus came up with some looks we would never have thought of that are now our favorites. The photos turned out to be stunning, and we received them much sooner than I expected. Our album finalization session with Nathan was super quick and painless and we can't wait to have our Photo Album in our hands.

I used mellBella Boudoir almost 5 years ago when they just started and was BLOWN away at the comfort I felt during such a shoot. I will never forget the amount of confidence they had in me! I left feeling like a million dollars and gained a degree of self respect that has stayed with me since that day. My husband purchased the MellBella Boudoir package for my Birthday and it was an awesome experience! Prior to the photo day I emailed photos of the hairstyles I was interested to check with the hairstylist to ensure they were feasible and they reviewed them with the hairdresser, which I greatly appreciated. The package includes an hour of hair & makeup and it was such a nice way to relax before the photos and both turned out great. I felt very comfortable during the photo session even though I spent half of it in just skimpy lingerie thanks to Wanda and Mell's direction. At the end of the shoot we set up the viewing appointment so I knew when to expect the photos. We went through all the photos first so I could view all before making any decisions then Wanda put all the photos up & was very patient as we went through them all to narrow down my selections. It's a bit of work starting with about 100 photos to choose from. It was a fabulous experience that I recommend to all women regardless of age, size or confidence level!

mellBella is the best of the best in Charleston! They made me feel so comfortable and safe during my bridal boudoir session and took photos that made me feel beautiful!
