the Preferred Vendor List of our venue, Woodhaven Wedding + Events. Their entire meal selection, from salad to entrees and sides had a great variety, and the quality of food is fantastic for the price. At the event, the catering staff did an excellent job of organizing the food, dismissing tables, and clearing tables. We are planning to dine at their supper club, West Wind Supper Club, every year to get to relive our wedding meal!

The Event Coordinator team was so so kind and was available to answer any and all questions, every step of the way. They had details down that we had never even considered. We appreciated the full service they provided, including clean up of dishes/napkins after the buffet dinner. We also had some individuals who are Gluten Free for medical purposes, and they were great to accommodate for this. I would recommend them for any of your catering needs.

ervous about what to expect. Overall, RVC offers an extremely affordable option for weddings unlike most other vendors that I was quoted by. Over a month out since our wedding, we are still getting compliments on our food. The food was absolutely amazing and tasted just as it did at our tasting and also as fresh as ever. With large events and going to weddings in the past that had sub-par meals, you always wonder how things will turn out, but we are so happy with how our service turned out. We also coordinated with RVC to use their bartending service and they were amazing. I had requested some specialty drinks and some drink displays and these were executed to the best of their ability, though our venue gave pushback on the day. The bartenders were so friendly with guests and ourselves included and truly helped our cocktail hour and reception run smoothly. Thank you again to the wonderful staff of RVC!

We, and our vegetarian guests, also highly recommend the vegan stuffed pepper - it was amazing at the tasting and was just as good the night of the wedding. Our guests also raved about the late night mac & cheese. Overall, we had a great experience with RVC!

We switched from a buffet style dinner to a plated dinner and there were no issues accommodating that request. we even rescheduled our wedding twice and the team did not miss a beat. We had a more detailed planning call about 2 months ahead of our big day, which was super helpful for locking in details. Great food and very responsive team.

We used RVC for both catering and bartender services and we got compliments all night of how it was the best food our guests had ever had... and that's ever, not just at a wedding. We loved how they considered our safety and discussed safe options so that one of my bridesmaids that has a severe peanut allergy would never be affected, or if I did chose a dish with peanuts in it, how she would have separate plates and be served personally. We ended up staying on the safe side and only ordered dishes that had no peanuts, but their consideration just confirmed our booking them. The staff was amazing to work with and we loved our tasting day too! Thank you so much RVC!

Our tasting at the restaurant made the choice even more clear; they were so friendly and accommodating - willing to customize for us and honest with their opinions about what is popular or how many people would eat a late night snack, etc.. On the day of the wedding, service was smooth and on-time. Guests commented on how good the food was and people asked us if we had the recipe of the chicken dish we had ordered (champagne chicken). We were very happy with both the service and quality of the food (which had to travel about an hour to our venue). The only small hitch we had was that one of our menu items was incorrectly labeled on the buffet as having chicken, which was unfortunate as that was our vegetarian option so those folks didn't know it was safe to eat. Obviously, this was a small oversight and if we had walked the buffet ourselves (we got table service for head table), we probably could have caught this and quickly resolved. Overall, we were very happy with our selection of River Valley Catering and would definitely recommend them to others looking to cater their wedding!

r venue (Villa Bellezza) and the way we were treated at our tasting. The food was delicious, the portions were good and the presentation was nice. But equally important, Emily and others at RV, gave their opinions when asked, were flexible with options and sincerely wanted to make it the best experience for us! And that is exactly what they did! They came and set up the linens on the tables early so we could start the decorating early. They served bubbles to our guests during the receiving line, set up and passed appetizers, served the meal and bartended all night long. Always quietly and efficiently in the background. Our guests commented on how good the food was and they even served just to me (the bride) mashed sweet potatoes, my favorite. Because as they said repeatedly, the bride gets whatever she wants! the food at the tasting, and loved that they could accommodate our requests. We were looking to have three plated entrees - 1 chicken, 1 steak, and 1 vegan/gluten-free option. Other caterers had a difficult time with offering a vegan and GF option, but RVC had several options that fit our need. My sister is vegan, and she came to the tasting. She said by far, the stuffed pepper (V/GF) was the most delicious option we had tasted. I was also super in love with the gorgonzola mashed potatoes, and my husband loved the steak. RVC was flexible with us on our sides. They said that each entree would have the same sides, I loved the gorgonzola potatoes, which are not vegan. RVC let us choose a different side for the stuffed pepper, which I appreciated. The representatives at RVC are extremely professional. They are straightforward in communication and take pride in their service. At the tasting, Emily and the manager made sure we had a great experience. They responded to our emails promptly between signing the contract and the day of the wedding. One thing to note is that they WILL try to up-sell you. We were originally thinking of going with baby red potatoes for the side to the V/GF dish, but RVC was clear that the baby reds wouldn't travel well for our venue because it didn't have an oven (which makes sense), and instead suggested the fingerling potatoes, which cost $1 extra per person. Also, our venue owner was under the impression that we could choose linens that matched our wedding colors free of charge. However, when we met with RVC, they told us they only did colored linens for an extra cost. This was fine with us, but the confusion between our venue and RVC seemed odd. Also, they do have a cake cutting fee. The day of the wedding, things went fairly smoothly. The servers were extremely professional. Emily was there and made a point to ask us how everything was going and if there was anything more they could do. This was appreciated and professional. There were a few things worth mentioning the day of the wedding. One is that I am still not certain if they gave us the gorgonzola mashed potatoes. I was dreaming of them up to the wedding day, and when the food arrived, they just tasted like regular potatoes. Still delicious, but not what we ordered. It's possible that they were the gorgonzola potatoes, but it didn't taste like it. One other thing (and this could totally have been miscommunication or something we missed), but the cake was not served as we requested. We had sheet cake for our guests and a small cake for the head table. The cake was not cut and delivered to the head table as we requested. When my maid of honor asked a server about this, he had no idea that they were supposed to serve it. They then did. Additionally, we had gluten-free cupcakes for our GF guests. They were supposed to be set on the cake table (where the sheet cake was set) for the GF guests. However, instead of this, the servers gave the guests who ordered the V/GF dish the cupcakes. This was confusing as we did not have enough cupcakes for the guests who ordered this dish, and not all guests who needed the GF cupcakes got them. Overall, I would recommend RVC. The professionalism is outstanding, and the food was good. Our friends are still talking about how good the steak was.

l ingredients fit our needs. We also used them for their bar service and everyone was so kind and happy while working, and seemed to be enjoying themselves. I didn't feel like I had to worry about a thing and they made sure our day went smoothly and was very special. I also wanted to have a plastic free wedding and they worked with us as I rented glassware for the bar and they cleaned and packaged it up again at the end of the night! I highly recommend working with them. Also, the food was DELICIOUS and we had so many compliments, some people said 'wedding food usually isn't that good, but this has been amazing!' Here's what we served our guests: Wonton cups with cream cheese and mango chutney, spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms, whipped goat cheese with sundried tomato crostini for the passed apps. Vegetarian lasagna, eggplant parm with a sundried tomato penne alfredo and a pasta primavera with a starter salad for dinner. Then we had a margarita pizza for late night!

or our indecisive hearts. Everything was excellent quality and the food the day of was wonderful - hot and exactly as we remembered at the tasting. It was also so lovely to have the peace of mind knowing all the linens plates, cutlery, and glassware would be taken care of, which we sincerely appreciated. We loved all of the options, including the lovely starters and midnight snacks! Though the quality was fantastic, River Valley could use some improvement in their service. In our first follow up meeting, I was unimpressed with Sue's demeanor. She was sharp, and unyielding to our desired timeline for the day, insisting that the plating of the first salad to last entree would take 90min and they were very reluctant to start speeches a moment sooner. Though I always defer to the expertise of the vendor, I would have appreciated more flexibility and respect for our desired timeline of the day. I suggested setting salads beforehand to help with the timing, to which they refused. We originally wanted to staff a second bar outside, which Sue also seemed unwilling to do unless it was in the pavillion where our ceremony was. I told her I simply did not want a bar seen in pictures during our ceremony, which she understood but still was reluctant to have the bar where we originally envisioned so we ultimately nixed it. I appreciate casual conversation, but Sue often referred to the friends and family that were to help us up as "our minions" which was simply unprofessional. In addition, during our follow up phone call she interrupted me several times, and when we had any discrepancies between our expectations, she would even cut me off saying, "Bri, no." Definitely not the service I expected before the wedding. The day of, linens were late for delivery by 2 hours which prevented us from setting up according to our designated timeline. Though the friends and family who came to set up handled this well, it definitely was an unnecessary kink. In the middle of greeting our tables during the salad course, I was approached by a server who told us they could not serve the rest of our guests until we were seated. We returned to the head table and waited for about 5-10min and nobody returned at which point we simply got back up to thank our guests. Our food was hot and cooked perfectly, but when we got up to cut the cake and returned to our plates, they had been cleared despite the fact that we hadn't finished our meal. I felt it odd that the servers felt comfortable interrupting our time with family, but not comfortable enough to simply ask if we had finished our entrees. At one point in the evening, I stopped back in the kitchen to grab a bottle of champagne and thanked the staff. Sue and the rest of the staff did not care to go out of their way by any means to congratulate us and though professional, did not go above and beyond. River Valley had amazing quality of food for the price. Though my experience was disappointing, I am sure it is an exception rather than the norm. As an organized and creative bride, my expectation was for River Valley to help me execute my vision, rather than challenge it and insist their preference. Simply my two cents!

ley is great for taking care of it all in a very professional manner. We didn't have to rent plates, or glasses, or napkins, they took care of all of that. The food was tasty, we got complements on the dinner, and they were willing to work with us when we realized there had been a misunderstanding with the venue. Hidden Meadow and Barn says that you can save money by bringing in your own store bought food for appetizers during the cocktail hour so we had been planning on doing that. Then in our finalizing meeting with River Valley, we realized that they do not allow any other food brought into an event they serve. Or to clarify, they allow Chex Mix or M&Ms but no cheese and crackers or veggies and dip. We didn't know what to do since we had a small budget for appetizers and had been planning on getting things from Costco. In the end River Valley was willing to work with us and they did a beautiful job. Their reputation means everything to them and it shows in the quality of work they do. The only other issue we had was we wanted to have apple crisp as our dessert and we gave them my husband's mom's recipe which they said they could do for us. Unfortunately they did not give us our recipe but their own, which was not at all the same. We were disappointed in it and my mother-in-law was disappointed as well, although the guests didn't know and seemed to think it was fine. Overall I think the dinner was tasty and the service was excellent. They definitely aren't cheap but they are reliable and professional. Just make sure you follow up with them along the way so you know you're getting what you want.

our appetizers after they menu was made so there would be a more balanced feel to what the guests were offered. Dinner, may have been one of my favorite parts of the wedding. We chose to have some items such as our salad and pasta passed family style. I LOVED this, it worked out wonderful in a logistical sense as well! We chose to serve the pork tenderloin with apple bacon chutney - YUM! The portions were huge! I've never seen so many full guests at a wedding before! The pork was the perfect entree for our lemon pesto pasta, which i'm still obsessed with, and the grilled broccoli. I'm pretty sure my mom had multiple servings of the California salad. It had candied nuts and berries in it. Perfect for a July day. River Valley did an outstanding job on making sure the food came out HOT, not luke warm. They also managed out guests with severe gluten allergies with ease and grace. I couldn't have asked for a better catering company. We had delicious food and our guests are still raving about the experience with them! When in doubt choose River Valley Catering , you will not be disappointed. Now I just need an excuse to have that meal again!
