Harnessing my background in design and hospitality, I’m committed to creating one-of-a-kind events for each couple I work with. And because each love story has its own shape and form, I work hard to bring out meaningful, customized moments personal to each couple‘s narrative. Hiring ROQUE Events was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process.
After extensive interviews with 10 different planners we kept coming back to Raquel, the first one we spoke to, for her creative approach to wedding planning and design. We hired Raquel in February 2023 and over almost 2 years of wedding planning she was with us every step of the way.
Raquel and her team helped procure over a dozen vendors for a 3-day event, completed onsite venue visits, served as creative directors, completed day-of production and coordination, content creation, and so much more. As issues arose, Raquel made every best effort to rectify them, even if they were outside the scope of a traditional planning arrangement.
Planning our beautiful wedding remotely would not have been possible without Raquel and her team and hiring ROQUE was some of the best money we spent the whole weekend.
Raquel and her entire team at ROQUE events were the best wedding planners anyone can ask for. My wife and I worked with them to plan our wedding and they nailed it! They handled everything from vendor selection, design, and coordination. All that was left for us to do was write our vows and practice our first dance - they literally did everything else. On the big day, it was amazing to see how all of the concepts/designs/mockups Raquel provided through the process came to life and how well they coordinated the timeline of the wedding. Everything flowed smoothly and so many guests came up to me afterwards to say it was the most well executed wedding they had been to. I can't say enough amazing things about my amazing wedding planner, Raquel! My husband and I hired Raquel in the spring of 2023 to help us plan our June 2024 wedding. We spoke with many planners before making our final decision, but Raquel stood out to us right away because of her professionality, her obvious organization skills, and her experience in wedding planning. From the moment we started working together, Raquel earned our trust and never broke it. I genuinely enjoyed our meetings and looked forward to each of them. Raquel/Rogue Events worked hand in hand with my daughter and her fiancé (now husband) in planning an absolute dream wedding in Napa. To say it was spectacular is an understatement. I highly recommend Rogue Events for any special event you are hosting. Her vendors that she recommended were all fantastic and she never missed a beat!
I said this in our wedding toast and would shout it to the world - Roque Events was the smartest decision I made in the wedding process, and the best money that I spent.
Raquel was consistently communicative via email and text (whichever I preferred), always on top of vendors, and handled all issues without my involvement unless I requested otherwise. After the first couple months I realized that I could let her run the show and trust that the wedding would be beautiful, and I was right; it was everything that I had dreamed of and went off without a hitch. Her and her team dealt expertly with a very difficult venue team in a remote location behind the scenes while I was none the wiser. She only told me about roadblocks after she had already solved the issue, if ever - so I was never left feeling stressed or overwhelmed. She was also not afraid to tell me when an idea of mine might make another aspect of the wedding more complicated, but always allowed me to make the final decision and was more than willing to execute whatever idea I had (even if it made her job difficult).
Raquel also took the time to truly understand my vision and recommend the vendors that would execute it perfectly. I found almost all vendors through her, and could not have been happier with any of them. From the big picture to the smallest details, she ensured that every vendor was taken care of and knew what they were doing.
Lastly, Raquel and her team are just kind hearted, lovely people to work with. I never felt like I was bothering her when I sent a text or email, and it truly felt like I was working with a friend throughout the entire process. She is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker and a joy to be around.

From the moment I met Raquel, I knew we needed her as our wedding planner - and it's the best decision we made throughout the wedding process. We worked with Raquel for ~14 months leading up to our wedding in Napa, and she was truly a pleasure to work with. She is professional, kind, fun, and can take any idea (usually unformed from me!) and execute it perfectly. She is extremely organized, responsive, and smart. I loved her monthly checklists for us to help us stay on track and on top of all the little details leading up to our big day. All of Raquel's qualities put together provided a stress-free planning process for us.
Raquel planned our welcome party and it turned out 10x more beautiful than I could have imagined. She has such an eye for design and knows exactly how to work with each vendor (from venues to florals to more) to pull the night together perfectly.
When it came time for the wedding, again I was amazed at how absolutely beautiful everything was - from the outdoor space to the indoor dancing, which Raquel helped transform into a stunning and fun lounge/club vibe. Leading up to and during our wedding day, we were due for rain. I was very concerned about how things would work since we were outside through dinner. Raquel kept me calm and reassured me that she would help execute my vision no matter what, and she delivered. She created contingency plans and helped us keep our guests dry, warm, and happy with the unexpected weather. She worked tirelessly with the venue to make sure we were all taken care of throughout the night.
Raquel works so hard to make sure you have the wedding weekend of your dreams. I don't know what we would've done without her. She is simply the best and we can't recommend her enough!
Hiring Raquel and ROQUE was the best decision we made during our wedding process. From our very first intro call, we were so impressed with her professionalism, attention to detail, ability to set realistic expectations, and relaxed/fun vibe. As a nursing student, I simply didn't have a time to plan or design a wedding and I can genuinely say that I never once felt stressed during the planning process thanks to Raquel's ability to collaborate and take control when necessary. I am not the type of gal who had been building a Pinterest board of wedding decor ideas my entire adult life, so I was quite overwhelmed with the task of designing my wedding. Raquel was able to take my barely formed and unspecific visions and turn them into the most perfect end result. The week of our Palm Springs wedding predicated rain in our forecast and as you can imagine, we were less than thrilled. Fortunately, we knew we were in great hands and that Raquel and her team would ensure that everything looked perfect. She navigated day of curve balls with style and grace all while keeping me none the wiser and stress free. We could not say enough positive things about her and highly recommend her full service package for those who want to live in stress-free bliss while engaged.
Words cannot express how absolutely outstanding, phenomenal, organized and fabulous Raquel is. When my beautiful wife (then fiancé) and I got engaged we did not know where to start in the planning process. If it weren’t for Raquel, we would likely still be at Stage 1, unsure of where to start.

Raquel is honestly the best wedding planner out there. My wife and I were only going to have a wedding if we hired the right planner and we hit the jackpot with Raquel. She’s so nice, helpful, personable, and very responsive. At the beginning of the process we really loved how she was friendly, helpful, and had so many great ideas that matched with what we were going for. What we also liked was how organized and well planned she is. Right away she knew a lot of great venues and venues that she recommended that matched our theme. We also loved how she sent us checklists and timelines to make sure we’re on pace and not stressing over any last minute things before our wedding. She also would schedule brief meetings just to check in, and send emails and texts to make sure everything was okay, or if we had any questions. One thing I really appreciated a lot is her mentioning this our day, and would go to bat for us to make sure it went how we wanted it to go. For example, the venue we chose promised a room block for both Friday and Saturday at first when we toured, they then decided to switch it so we would only have it for Saturday during the wedding. We didn’t want that as the whole point of the venue is to have the rooms blocked off for the day before for us to wake up day of and get ready for the wedding. Right away when Raquel saw that email, she let us know that she would handle it. 20 minutes later they got back to us and agreed to let us have the room for both nights which was amazing. Another amazing thing to hear was the vendors and venues talking about her. They all had such great things to say which was even more reassuring we picked the best planner out there.
Also, my wife at first was iffy on a wedding at first just because of the stress involved and the attention that’ll be put on her. Raquel worked with us and my wife says that our wedding went perfectly and was so glad that we had one. I would honestly recommend Raquel to anyone that’s looking for a planner to help with their wedding. IF you do hire her, be prepared to have the best wedding ever!!
Raquel is simply the best. Hiring her will be the smartest decision you make when it comes to your wedding. From our very first call, I knew she was going to be indispensable - she immediately struck me as someone who is highly competent, personable and passionate. During the 12 months we spent planning my wedding together, I quickly learned that Raquel is also extremely organized (her spreadsheets & checklists are what dreams are made of!), she has an incredible attitude and she cares SO much about what she does and everyone she works with. She has fantastic ideas but is never pushy, she is patient but she knows how to get things done efficiently, she's a great listener and takes the time to understand whats important to you and then prioritizes accordingly. She is a true partner - it's no surprise she has a list a mile long of amazing vendors that are dying to work with her time and time again!
I genuinely felt like Raquel was as invested in my wedding as I was, and that was especially true on the wedding day. She was ON IT and it did not go unnoticed! All of my bridesmaids were making comments while we were getting ready before the ceremony - "she's incredibly impressive," "wow it must be so nice having someone like that in your corner," "she really gets you." It was such an honor and a privilege to have someone else dedicate so much of their time & energy into the most special day of my life. She goes above and beyond, without hesitation, and with a smile on her face. I could not have been more proud of the wedding that we planned and the team of vendors that we had in place.
I also couldn't believe how much fun my husband & I had - Raquel had told me early on in the planning process that she would ensure I felt like a guest at my wedding, but as someone who can be insanely detail oriented and a bit of a control freak I had a hard time believing my wedding day would be totally stress free for me... She made it happen! She took care of EVERYTHING. She kept me in the loop with positive updates, handled any crisis that came up discretely, managed to keep everyone on schedule throughout the day and I had an absolute blast as a result. The feedback we've received from our friends and family has blown me away - best wedding ever. Raquel, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
TL;DR : Raquel was critical to making our event beautiful, calm, organized, and on budget. We knew we needed Raquel at the beginning of the process, but there were about 100 other things she did for us that we didn’t know existed. I can’t imagine our wedding without Raquel.

My fiancé (foreshadowing; now husband) and I decided to hire a wedding planner when we became overwhelmed with the budgeting process (how much is this supposed to cost? Why does every vendor get back to you with a different list of things they include?) of wedding planning. We were concerned that when we spoke to friends about their weddings almost every single couple seemed to have a budget… but when it came down to the last few months their budgets went out the window. Almost nobody stuck to it, and they didn’t even know how much money they went over.
I now realize that the extent of our experience with party planning was confined to having six people over for dinner, so we were very unprepared to have a wedding with all of our friends and family!
After meeting with five planners, we quickly picked Raquel. We knew she was organized and experienced enough to help us. We quickly got into our venue search and design meetings. Within weeks we had a detailed budget and schedule to hit all the things we needed to make the day a success. She then spent hours with us refining the vision, working through pictures, and showing us possibilities we didn’t even know existed. We loved the aesthetic that we came up with, it was unique and entirely us – it looked like a dream! As the months went on, she met with us and kept us on task for every aspect of the event.
In those moments where we had no idea what we wanted Raquel guided us through with patience, an even keel, and a smile. I can’t tell you how many times Raquel asked our opinions about a detail - such as an option for the table, or ten minutes in the timeline to allow us to be alone. Those details made the day beautiful but they also ensured that we had the chance to enjoy it.
The day of the wedding was better than I could have imagined. After months of dreaming with Raquel and talking about colors, music, and vision – she fully executed everything! She had kept us on task before this but it was nothing to the organizational feat the day of the wedding! Every part of the design came together AND she managed to facilitate about a dozen vendors, another dozen family members, and another dozen friends coming through with all the pieces to make the day perfect.
Raquel crushed every aspect – she created (and executed to!) a budget at the beginning of our process, took myself and my fiancé through the creative process, and finally kept everyone calm and on task the day of. All my husband and I had to do was enjoy the day! We could not have achieved any of this without Raquel.
RAQUEL - not sure where to begin! I found Raquel through my wedding venue as one of their preferred vendors. I had an inkling she would be a great pick when we first spoke, because she had worked at my venue before and seemed to really know the ins-and-outs of the space. Raquel has the demeanor everyone looks for in a wedding planner - she allows for your ideas and creativity to shine through as a bride, but isn't afraid to step in when she knows an idea could be better executed. I think at one point she mentioned she had 15 weddings this summer, yet always made time for me/never came across as too busy. One call in particular I remember we were working on the layout of our reception - I had mocked up space for a lounge set in the corner of the room. Raquel chimed in "well we really can't put anything there because we would be blocking the fire exit - there's a door here leading outside that isn't shown on the online layout." THOSE are the details that most people would overlook - not Raquel. Day of the wedding - Raquel was INCREDIBLE. There was never a point where we felt she didn't have things under control. She was calm, professional, and truly everyone has commented on how perfectly the night progressed. Nothing took too long, nothing was too rushed - there was a perfect cadence to the evening and Raquel kept us on our timeline almost to the minute, without making anyone aware how meticulously planned everything was - it just seemed to FLOW. I would recommend Raquel to anyone - truly best decision we made and I can't wait to see how far she goes in this industry. She deserves every bit of recognition. We are still riding the high from the best night/weekend. Raquel truly makes wedding dreams come true!
We hired Raquel to plan our destination wedding and we are so glad we did! As an out-of-state bride, I felt at ease knowing I had Raquel in my corner. She is extremely organized, reliable, and responsive and she connected us with high-quality vendors who made our wedding day a dream. Raquel totally understood my vision for our wedding day and therefore it was such an easy process working through design choices. She has an eye for events which speaks for itself! I myself am not a type A person, and therefore was grateful throughout the 1 1/2 year planning process to have had Raquel there keeping everything on track and always running smoothly with organized monthly checklists, a detailed vendor list etc. If I ever had an issue with a vendor or wanted to make any changes, Raquel heard me out then communicated with the vendor immediately. I felt like I was in great hands which alleviated SO much of that wedding planning stress! Our wedding day turned out beautifully and we couldn’t be happier.

Raquel is FANTASTIC. I cannot believe how lucky my husband and I were to find her. I have dealt with some really awful vendors (primarily due to them looking at this purely from the perspective of their bottom line) but I never felt that way with her. I couldn't fully explain what I wanted because I don't do industry-speak, but she could decipher my rambled thoughts and produce exactly what I was looking for, if not better.
We hired Raquel for our destination wedding, full-service planning. SO worth it. She knows what she's doing. SERIOUSLY don't even try to do it on your own. This is what she does. She is not only a professional but she is THE professional.
But more than being excellent at her craft, I felt that I could trust her with everything. It was a long year and half of planning this wedding with outside family trying to have a say with what THEY wanted. She would constantly bring me back by saying, "but what you do YOU want". She became a trusted friend throughout the process. She always had our back. She even handled my neurotic, indecisive husband when it came to fashion choices with so much patience and grace. I would have not lol. She fully advocated for us with each and every vendor, and if a vendor failed to meet our expectations, she was the first to let that vendor know that they sucked and was quick to deal with any last minute decisions (e.g., less than 3 months before the wedding I said "f--- it, this stationary vendor is fired, please find me a new one." Raquel got us ALL of our money back, even after the crappy vendor tried to retain some of their money, and found someone that could do what I wanted instantly). She will not settle for less when it comes to making sure that you have a great wedding planning experience.
Raquel is so good that I didn't even need to recommend her. My guests were blown away at my wedding weekend in Tahoe that they started asking for her information. She's so great! Can't believe I used to plan my own parties. She will forever and always be our go-to planner for all of our event needs!

We hired Raquel for our Summer 2023 wedding and I am so glad we did! From our very first email conversations she was so responsive, friendly and knowledgeable - I knew then we had to hire her! For the months leading up to our wedding she guided us every step of the way. From vendor recommendations, to detailed checklists she made sure we had thought of everything. We had frequent check-ins throughout the process and she always came prepared and organized. She was quick to answer all my questions and had tons of ideas on how to make our wedding day special. When the week of our wedding the weather threw us a curve ball of 106 degrees, she knew exactly what to do to make sure our guests were comfortable had the best experience without compromising any of our vision.
The day of our wedding she and her team made sure our day was absolutely perfect!! Every vendor, every detail was handled with thoughtfulness and care. They were so organized and efficient and were always available if I needed anything. She made sure the day ran according to schedule and it all turned out absolutely amazing!!

Raquel is a truly amazing wedding planner, and was extremely easy to work with from the initial planning, throughout the wedding planning process, and the day of.
We hired Raquel because we could tell how passionate she is about wedding planning, and making the wedding of our dreams become a reality. Her high level of organization, and keeping us on track was definitely an incredible experience. Raquel would provide detailed checklists at the beginning of each month leading up to our wedding to make sure that we always stayed on track, and it helped narrow down what we needed to do. This was extremely helpful to drastically lower our stress, and decision fatigue.
When it came to meeting the vision I had for my wedding, I handed her a full Pinterest board of things I wanted from signage, florals, and table scapes and she came up with a full design vision board of what she envisioned from what we gave. Since we started almost 2 years in advance of our wedding, she was also really flexible with design when the things that I wanted to add or remove changes.
In terms of logistics, Raquel was extremely helpful and was the absolute best at ironing out all the logistical details with transportation and timing so that everything was running so smooth and efficient. This is also very true for vendors, she has a lot of connections and vendors that she can recommend in the area that she’s worked with. Raquel handles and holds all your vendor agreements all in one place, and makes sure that she is aware of everything, and will advocate for you if something goes wrong. Raquel responded quickly to emails and texts every time, making you feel like you’re her top priority. Her high level of care and professionalism was a highlight, and made it so easy to work with her.
We initially gave her our ideal budget and she did a great job at making sure we stayed within our budget as well as told us what was worth splurging more on and what we could do without. She has a calm and empathetic demeanor and she is a great listener. She always helped to ease any anxiety I was having throughout the process and was always able to answer any questions that I had about anything.
We cannot thank Raquel enough for making our dream wedding, a reality. We will miss working with her, because she made everything so easy, and was a true MVP from beginning to end.
Raquel just recently planned our entire wedding weekend (which included our welcome reception event plus our wedding day) and we cannot thank her for pulling off one of the most magical weekends of our lives. There are many wonderful things about Raquel but let me share of the top 3 highlights of working with her:
1. Fiscal Care: When you are first hiring a planner, it's hard to fathom paying for one, especially when you are looking at all the other bills ahead of you. However, Raquel is worth every dollar. Raquel treats your money as if it was her own money - being a true sherpa by telling us honestly what was worth spending on vs. not spending on. Even while minimizing unnecessary costs, she helped us pull together a really beautiful, elegant, and timeless wedding. At the end of the wedding, we did not feel anything was missing or wasteful.
2. Advocate: She is also an incredible advocate, making sure vendors are treating you well and taking care of you. She went to bat for us several times to ensure we were getting the best service and value. We had a hiccup with our venue 2 weeks out from our wedding date that would've cost us thousands of dollars, and she went to bat for us to ensure we were not charged additional fees and that the venue rectified their misstep. And you want that - with all of the wedding stress and feeling like you have no leverage with vendors, you want a planner who is not just helping you plan a beautiful event, but who is going to be your advocate to have the hard conversations with vendors to ensure you're being treated fairly.
As an aside, besides being a great advocate with vendors, because of her reputation and experience, she has great relationships with premiere vendors. We hired literally all of vendors through Raquel including our DJ, photographer, florist, hair and makeup, signage, and furniture rentals through Raquel, and all of them were the best of the best. It's easy to feel that when you're getting a vendor recommendation from a planner that it's a kickback for them, but that's not what it was for Raquel - she holds a high standard for what makes a wedding great and only recommends people she can trust her clients with. Our friends could not stop raving about the DJ, our photographer made us feel confident, our rentals were beautiful, and our florist literally made us feel that we had a celebrity wedding.
3. Organization: Finally, she is very organized - she is on top of timelines and details to ensure everything is smoothly managed from beginning to end. I am a very type A person and my nod to Raquel is that I felt that I could sit back and feel confident she could run the show better than I could, which she did beautifully.
I am so glad we hired Raquel and now we think of her as a friend as well, which is so special.
We hired Raquel in early 2022 to help us plan our May 2023 wedding and we couldn’t be happier with the decision. If you want to feel confident that your wedding day will go smoothly and feel stress-free in the months leading up to your wedding, you must hire Raquel. You will be so happy you did. Here are the reasons you should hire Raquel.
1. She is extremely organized and detail-oriented. She handled all of the little details from Day 1 through the last second of the wedding - budget, venue scouting and appointments, vendor communications, payment schedules, rehearsal, day-of coordination, clean up etc etc. She gave us a very consumable monthly checklist that made wedding planning very approachable and as stress free as possible. We were totally relaxed the month leading into our wedding.
2. She always says yes. Anytime we wanted to do something, she always said yes and then would explain if that would mean giving up something else or making an adjustment somewhere else. But I knew that if we wanted something to happen, she would make it happen and I felt like we understood all the downstream implications of the choice.
3. She is creative and helps distill your vision. We gave Raquel a huge Pinterest board with all the things we liked and she distilled it down into a more curated board that created the aesthetic foundation for our wedding. It was extremely helpful to have a professional with expertise point out that we seem to like this color and this type of flower and this type of vibe. She encouraged all of our design choices and truly brought them all the life!
4. She is so available and responsive and super positive. Raquel was incredibly responsive to us and we always felt like we were her #1 priority. She always answered our emails promptly and was always available for a call when we needed it. She was also super positive and excited for us through the process!
5. Our wedding day was magical. Raquel worked extremely hard to ensure our wedding day was executed beautifully and ran smoothly. She was non-stop all day and all of my family and friends commented that she was incredible at keeping everyone on schedule and responding to all requests and needs. It was honestly such an incredible day and we could not have done it without Raquel.

Raquel simply nailed it for our wedding this weekend. I loved how straightforward and professional she was from the moment we met her. No nonsense. Our wedding was an absolute dream and we owe it to Raquel! She kept the planning process stress free, was highly professional, and accommodated everything we asked for. She connected us with the most picture perfect venue at Beaulieu Garden (plus other incredibly hard to pass options on our site tours) and the BEST vendor team with respect to catering, photography, make-up/hair, floral, transportation, offianting, photobooth, and more. We live across the country with highly demanding work scheduled so having her connections and knowledge base was invaluable.
The wedding day beyond exceeded our highest expectations - the day went seamlessly and the three site setups were all mindblowingly beautiful.
The only issue we ran into was our paper goods vendor, so Raquel arranged for a full refund/contract termination, which we didn’t end up doing but probably should have.
Overall we would highly highly highly recommend Roque events! Just ask Raquel to see our wedding photos and I think you’ll be sold.

My husband and I hired Raquel/RoqueEvents in 2019 to plan our June 2020 wedding. While the beginning of the relationship went well, things took a turn when the pandemic hit. In Spring 2020, we were informed via phone call that ROQUE was going out of business and would be unable to fulfill their contract. At this point we had already paid them in full at around 12k, and they offered no refund. Raquel (the owner of Roque) was not on the call to inform us of this devastating news, and in fact she never reached out to us once afterwards.
This was made more painful by the fact that mere weeks before, Raquel essentially chastised my husband and I for being a few days late on our final payment to them (in April 2020 peak pandemic). In retrospect it feels like she was just ensuring she got all the money from her clients before she closed shop. We ultimately ended up cancelling our wedding all together.
Now it seems that a year later she has decided to return to wedding planning and restart ROQUE. I understand that pandemic times were tough for a lot of small businesses (they were for everyone), but Raquel’s lack of compassion and professionalism in such an emotionally driven industry seems like a disconnect. My advice, hire someone else to plan your special day, like CarlySaberEvents because she’s fabulous and even tried to offer us an alternative option after all this hit the fan.
From the first time we spoke to Raquel up through our wedding day I knew we had picked the perfect planner. We aren't local to Napa, and she guided us to find vendors who perfectly fit our vision for our wedding. She made the process so seamless - multiple friends asked me how stressed I was about wedding planning, and I could honestly answer that it hadn't even crossed my mind to be stressed because of Raquel!

The Roque team were the MVP of my wedding production. I got engaged to my now husband of over a year and we were given a list of wedding planners that The Harvest Inn in Saint Helena had worked with prior and loved working with. (picking someone off this list was not a requirement) I searched through them all and immediately knew I wanted to work with Roque. I worked very closely with Carly, but each time I touched base with Raquel, I knew this was going to be a very special day.I can say overall the aesthetic they produce is stunning and they are always very positive and" can-do." Any time you're planning a big event, something will inevitably go wrong or be missing, and Roque had the kind of flexibility and improvisation to adapt and overcome each challenge that was sent our way. I loved the vendors that they suggested and when I didn't they were always willing and open to go back to the drawing board and find someone who fit my style and my taste. Lets just say I'm a very particular person so I knew what I wanted and Roque was willing to go out and fight for me to fulfill my dream day. My husband was beyond impressed with how things turned out. I loved our flower girl Emily, the makeup Blush Beauty styling was fantastic, our videographer Amor in Motion I have to say were amazing as well as Alexa Penberthy the photographer --definitely worth spending the extra to get great footage. These are all vendors that Roque turned me onto. Roque worked with the Harvest Inn so seamlessly that sometimes I didn't even know how much they had prepped and taken care of until after the wedding. Roque also produced our receptions dinner which was once in a lifetime! BBQ and Bourbon on our families winery property. They set up the tents, the checkered tablecloths, the jar flowers, the food, the drinks and the music. It was the perfect mix of elegant and casual chic. They also found a pianist singer for our church ceremony. Anything asked, they found a way to bring it to manifestation. They also did great on the timing and fitting everything in. There's a lot that happens on a wedding day! I will say personally I would choose an earlier ceremony and more time for nibbling then eating dancing speeches. It goes soooo fast so take the whole day! My mother and father both remarked on how special the day was and we could never have done it without the superb professional help of Roque Events. Thank you Carly and Raquel . I will forever be grateful for the moments we created together!
Before I was even old enough to drive a car, I knew I always wanted to get married in Napa. I didn’t know how I was going to do it until we spoke to Carly and Raquel. They were so confident and could answer any question they had, we knew we had to pick them as our wedding planners! We didn’t even need to interview anyone else because they nailed it. They were so amazing, understanding and helpful throughout everything. We hired them before we even got engaged because of our super busy lifestyles we wanted to make sure we could get everything we wanted especially living in Oregon and always traveling for work. Carly and Raquel are a dream team, every time we came to Napa to get wedding stuff done, they had a schedule laid out for us and everything always went off without a hitch.
They even helped my now-husband plan his proposal to me (which was AMAZING) during our first trip to Napa to do what I thought was just venue searching. Post engagement the real work began, we got a lot of stuff done (including changing our color scheme a few times!) Even starting to plan almost 18 months out, we never felt bored or left out of the process. There were some times where we tried to step out of the box and do something unrealistic, they reeled us back in to get us back on track to the wedding of our dreams.
A lot of times I feel like wedding planners have a set number of how many times you guys can chat on the phone, but not Carly or Raquel! They were ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS available to answer the phone or answer an email or text back ! I would even call unannounced if I had a dire question and they would answer!
Their creativity was mind-blowing! They took this picture in my head and brought it in front of my eyes. The way they know how to bring ANY dream to life is breathtaking. Things that we weren’t so sure of turned out to be so amazing because we trust their opinion so much.
Now....the week of and even the day of our wedding. Carly deserves an award. All of the awards, like a Tony, a Grammy, a Noble Peace Prize. All of them. To say that we were stressed out would be an understatement. We had probably 40 people that RSVP to attend our wedding say they were no longer coming, even on the day of texting ME (the bride)! Even had someone say they weren’t coming and then showed up and showed up late at that. It was unbelievable and we were soooo worried that the room was going to look empty because we legit lost like 6 whole tables in a matter of days. Carly and Katie made the room look phenomenal and not empty at all. It looked very intimate and sweet and ready for a party just like we wanted it to look. Carly helped us to just remember to enjoy the day and that everything was going to look fine. I can’t thank Carly enough because there was absolutely no way we were getting through that day without her.
Through all of our changes and last minute decision making, Carly and Raquel never ever made us feel bad or made us feel like we were choosing the wrong thing. They constantly reassured us that no matter what our day was going to be amazing. They picked the most amazing vendors and were at every single meeting and tasting with us. Raquel was pregnant and then had an infant who turned into a 1 year old all during our planning and still was always available to answer an email or a text or phone call. Truly amazing and a dream team. I couldn’t recommend ROQUE enough to plan any big event, they might even do our first baby shower! We love them!

They have existing relationships with a great lineup of vendors, assuring quality and limiting the legwork you have to do to make the pieces come together. The dream team of vendors we chose delivered a flawless day-of experience with Roque at the helm: no last-minute dropped balls or frantic scurrying to cover up mistakes, just a smoothly coordinated ceremony and reception. They even made sure we got to enjoy dinner, sidestepping a classic complaint we heard from our friends about their receptions.
A few things as a heads up for couples considering partnering with Roque to put on the event of a lifetime:
- If you (like we did!) have a partner or a family member who wants to contribute to the planning and design effort, make sure to scope out what each person is responsible for. The Roque team are so nice and careful about family relationships, knowing how tricky those conversations can be, and handled everything with diplomacy and aplomb. However, we did wish sometimes that they had poked us and told us how things should go, instead of letting us run them around in circles!
- On the day of, the Roque team prefer dressing to move with comfort and ease, and worked our wedding in relatively casual clothes and sneakers. We wish we had known to ask beforehand that they and our other vendors keep with a more businesslike or formal dress code (within reason, knowing they’re on their feet all day).
All in all, we highly recommend Roque, and the notes above are resolved easily by being clear about your expectations up front and meant to increase your satisfaction with their services. Carly and Raquel will care so much about your big day and hustle to make it a huge success. We had extremely high standards for the artistry and execution and Roque was able to help us guide the vendors, creatives, and other staff to a phenomenal finish. A huge thanks to Carly and Raquel for really taking care of us on our big day, letting us get through this process in one piece, and delivering an event we’ll never forget. If we ever have another big event in the future, we’re sure to go with Roque again!
When my then-fiancé and I decided on doing a destination wedding in Napa while living across the country, it seemed a little overwhelming at first. I added on the design package and had the pleasure of working with both Carly and Raquel for this and they were so helpful and took comments that we made during our calls and put pictures to them and made it so much easier to imagine what all these things would look like on our big day. It is my understanding that the majority of planners have a limit on communication with them, but Carly had no limit and always made time to answer my questions, recommend vendors and problem solve with me. Because I have a background in events, I am super detailed and A-type and know when things go wrong/right, so choosing a planner was a big decision for me. Carly did an exceptional job "being inside the brides head" and made my vision come to life so perfectly. Many of our guests mentioned "who is your event planner?! She killed it!". Carly was a joy to have by my side on the big day and it gave my such peace of mind to know she was running the show. I cannot recommend her highly enough for her organization, intelligence, creativity, and on-the-spot problem solving. I am SO thankful we chose Carly for our wedding day!

I have actually hesitated in sitting down to write this review because I didn’t think I could adequately describe in words how incredible it was to work with Raquel and Carly. ROQUE Events is THE ultimate dream team for so many reasons.
ROQUE helped us plan a 3-day wedding weekend - not to mention that our actual wedding day took part in 3 different locations. There were so many moving parts and we are still flabbergasted at how perfectly they executed each and every detail.
From the very beginning, they spent so much time and effort to understand our vision. Some of the things that were important to us were so nuanced and they just completely got it. We had a very specific aesthetic we were going for and we wanted next-level extravagance, but in an understated way. Between detailed questionnaires, vision boards, conference calls and more, Carly and Raquel made it their mission to deliver a weekend that was completely unique and spectacular. We never felt like they were recycling ideas from previous events. They brought so many personalized ideas to the table that hit the nail on the head, and just completely blew our minds.
And then there’s execution… You sort of expect this from a wedding planner but let me just tell you that ROQUE puts everyone else to shame. Their level of detail in the execution of so many moving parts is nothing short of spectacular.
ROQUE also brings access to the best of the best vendors in The Bay Area. Our photographer was insanely talented and joy to be around; our florist was next-level creative; our videographer should be producing feature documentaries; all of our musicians/DJ were in a class of their own; invitations, signage, etc. all looked like they were out of a magazine; our hair and makeup was flawless. We would never have found this level of talent on our own and I hope we are lucky enough to work with some of these people again.
The best thing we can say about ROQUE is that during our wedding weekend, we simply felt like guests. We were truly able to enjoy ourselves. We did not have to worry about a thing. NOTHING! Everything was covered – from the most major components to the littlest details. This is a silly example, but I kicked off my shoes at the end of the night on the dance floor, and Carly brought them back to our room, along with other personal items. They literally think of every single thing so that you can just be present on your wedding day. The total bonus is that both Carly and Raquel are awesome people. We became friends throughout this process and I know we will stay in touch.
Our wedding is now nearly 4 weeks past and we still have people texting and calling to tell us they can’t stop thinking about the whole weekend – that they’ve never experienced anything like it before. I actually got this very phone call yesterday. So many friends have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. Between the itinerary, the food, the music and the ambiance we created, we created memories not only for ourselves, but for the people most important to us as well. Our only disappointment is that it’s over… but we have already told Raquel and Carly that we want to do it again in 10 years! And please don’t change a thing!

ROQUE saved our wedding. This incredible team is already well-known in Northern California for saving the day, but we simply cannot overstate how critical they were to making our wedding happen. For most of that time we lived in Los Angeles, so ROQUE carefully orchestrated every phone call, meeting, and decision with us remotely. They are a beautifully organized team that takes advantage of online tools to share documents or design ideas and to log conversations, budget details, and contracts. They worked with our difficult schedules to arrange for us to visit several venues in a single short trip, and pulled off an absolutely last-minute site visit (in under an hour!) when an idea popped up just after our last appointment of the weekend. We knew we were in great hands from the start, but we had no idea how deeply we would end up relying on Raquel and Carly to pull everything together.
A few months before our wedding, our lives were derailed by family illness, and we suffered the loss of a parent just weeks before the big day. We became completely unavailable in those last critical months of planning, and the ROQUE team handled absolutely everything. They took on every last task that would have otherwise been in our hands, and made everything as easy as we could possibly imagine. Without them, our wedding would not have taken place as planned. But because of Raquel and Carly, all we had to do was arrive on time to get married and enjoy a much-needed celebration with our family and friends.
Our wedding was beautiful, everything went so smoothly (as far as we know!), and it was so much fun! Our guests are still talking about what a great time they had, and it seems like everyone has a different favorite detail from that night. ROQUE's careful planning is only rivaled by their expert ability to create impromptu magical moments: one of our favorite memories from the whole event was an unplanned trip to a special spot at the venue where we could get away from the party for just a few minutes to enjoy a beautiful city view and night sky. We love and miss and are endlessly grateful to Raquel and Carly (especially Carly!!) for everything they did to make our wedding so perfect.
Carly and Raquel were a dream to work with! There is no way that we could've planned a 175 guest event without their knowledge, expertise and dedication. Wow, I find it hard to put in words exactly how excellent our experience was with Carly at Roque Events. From our first phone call, we knew we had found the team we wanted to work with. Carly truly went above and beyond for us from day 1. I felt relaxed and confident throughout the entire process while planning a destination wedding in Sonoma from across the country. Every detail was perfect. Her organization was exceptional (I have great appreciation for her attention to detail). The wedding day exceeded our expectations as well as all of our guests. Planning a wedding over 2,000 miles away I knew I needed a planner, and Roque Events exceeded my expectations in every way! My wife and I interviewed ~7-8 other planners from a list we'd assembled and we were immediately struck by Roque's organization, understanding of our style preferences, and technological touch. They stood out from the rest before we got into contract, and they will forever standout in the way they helped execute the most special day(s) of my life for my wife and I.
The way Raquel and Carly have organized themselves allowed my wife and I (who travel frequently for work and have very busy jobs) to be 100% on the same page from start to finish. Regular conference calls, image boards, vendor engagements, in person previews and the ability to always be there for questions put us at ease from start to finish. Its hard to actually describe the value Roque brings to the table which allowed us to 100% be focused on the things that mattered i.e. each other through the engagement which made it FUN, and the nuanced family/friend politics that come with planning a wedding but so often get brushed aside because of a need to focus on logistics. Roque dominates the logistics game.
We had a long engagement and so had the benefit of time which helped, but without Roque's high touch service, I don't know how we would have ever pulled it off. Our venue was remote, no cell service, our guest list was ~120ppl, vendors were hours away and yet all of the otherwise potentially very difficult negotiations and potential logistical nightmares were completely avoided and the three day party went off seamlessly.
I could go on for days about the comfort and support we had through the planning, but that would neglect to highlight how wonderful Raquel and Carly are as people. We built a great friendship through our time working with them, admire their passion for what they do and will be forever indebted to them for the incredible (I really mean incredible), wedding they helped us pull off.

My fiance and I got engaged in August of 2017 and while the fun and excitement of engagement was still around, by October we were feeling the heat of jumping head-on into wedding planning.
Everyone tells you to enjoy engagement, but the reality is getting started with planning is inevitable, and I thought the first 2-3 months were really the most stressful. Unless you are a professional yourself, or have had your wedding venue picked out since you met your fiance.... it's a trying time.
My fiance was insistent that we needed some help since our families are back in the mid west and we wanted to plan a west coast wedding. We started interviewing planners, and to be honest our experience wasn't great. We couldn't imagine making the investment and commitment to a planner who we didn't connect with. We kept thinking that we should come out of the conversation/interview feeling excited and relieved and we just felt stressed and deflated after every call.
On top of that, we didn't have the perfect venue identified yet, and given that really drives the budget for everything else, we felt a little lost on whether professional help was the right choice. We are creative, very organized and pretty detail oriented-- I honestly thought we could do this ourselves. How hard could it be?
If you don't read on any farther--the reality is--it is hard. Add in that we are both busy professionals that can't be on the phone and responding to emails all day-- and you are going to have a hard time getting it done on your own. Wedding vendors are producing events on the weekends, so they get most of their communication done during the weekend. It was a non-option for me and my now wife to step away for calls all day. Roque cut the number of meetings we had to have --probably in half if not more. Most importantly, the more detail oriented you are, the more you actually need help in making the right decisions & finding the right vendors to execute them. There are things you just don't know about, like which bus company has better communication and is more on time, or where you can skimp on flowers but where you should go all in, and you definitely don't know about their secret vendors that are the best of the best, are more affordable, but just don't advertise well.
My fiance happened to find Roque Events on the knot and was reading reviews, "stalking" photos from events on social media and noticed how they have executed on so many different types of designs and events. Knowing they had the experience and range was intriguing as we wanted our wedding to feel unique and reflective of our style.
Once we met Raquel and Carly we knew they were "The One". They love what they do. They handle inevitable mishaps with grace and are truly on your side.
They also gave us the creative freedom to be in the drivers seat but weren't afraid to give their opinion and back it up with experience/expertise when needed. And the best part was-- as much as possible, my now wife was less stressed knowing Raquel and Carly would not let anything fall through the cracks! They really brought together the best team of vendors, many that we would have never found without them.
We've been hearing "best wedding ever", but no seriously "best wedding EVER" for the past 4 months on repeat. Its pretty cool to see all the hard work come together and know we could have a drink and enjoy our special day without having to check in on the caterer!
