We hired Rosa's to provide a plated dinner for our wedding of 120 guests. All of the employees were very kind and pleasant to work with. However, there were several issues with our experience that ultimately left us disappointed.
First, there seemed to be a major issue with communication between the employees. Due to this, there was a lot of confusion about the final guest count and the number of orders for each entree. We had to speak with multiple people to explain our order to resolve the confusion which was quite stressful in the days leading up to the wedding.
Also, we ordered Sliced Roast Beef as an entree choice, but we later learned that it was assumed that we meant Prime Rib -- a selection that is several dollars more expensive than our original selection -- because Sliced Roast Beef is only available via stations. I wish that Rosa's had reached out to us to clarify rather than assuming, but we were excited about the upgrade and the opportunity to offer our guests a more luxurious entree option.
Unfortunately, the quality of the entrees was lacking. The prime rib was cooked to nearly well done, the chicken was quite dry, and many guests complained that their food was completely cold when it was served to them.
On a positive note, all of the side dishes, appetizers and the first course we ordered were amazing! No hate to Rosa's in general, they truly are good people and we appreciate everything they could to ensure our reception was great!

Rosa’s Catering was catering my daughter’s wedding on December 21, 2024, at Magnolia, Pigeon Forge. The food was delicious. The waiters were polite and courteous. When the food from the personal plates was accidentally removed the manager immediately replaced it with a smile. While we were planning the event Rosa’s Catering was very helpful, professional and flexible with the recommendations and adjustments. Thank you!

We used Rosa's for our 10/25 wedding in Gatlinburg and it is the only thing I regret about my wedding day. I do want to say the servers were amazing - I didn't catch any names but they were so sweet and on top of it. There was a girl with curly hair who was so kind and brought me things all night during dinner without needing to ask and she was wonderful. I'm certain they only did was directed of them by the instructions they were given prior to arriving so I do not fault them for anything personally.
The catering itself was not good. First, it is not made clear anywhere on the website that for the pasta bar they mix tortellini and bowtie pasta together instead of having an option of either/or. We found this out a couple weeks prior to the wedding when it was too late to change caterers, and they acted like we were in the wrong for thinking that was strange. I chose the pasta bar because it seemed the best option for dietary concerns, so to mix an allergen with a non-allergen and make no mention of it anywhere seems odd to me.
We went with it anyway, but the pasta all ended up overcooked and gummy so it was a mistake after all. I checked the time stamps of our photos and we started dinner on time so I know it was not gummy from sitting due to a delay. The garlic bread was hard as a rock, and the chicken appeared to be boiled chicken that was seasoned with salt and pepper; maybe something you'd give to a dog with an upset tummy. I will say the bruschetta was delicious but that's it.
I confirmed beforehand we would be able to take leftovers and I was assured that we would get to take anything leftover and they would package it up for us - great! The day of, my dad asked about packing up the cheese cubes from the appetizers and was told that we are not able to take apps with us and they go back with Rosa's. I don't know if they are reusing old cheese or what but if we were not able to take them with us, despite paying for it, that should be communicated when I asked about leftovers on the phone prior to the wedding.
Finally, my biggest, most heartbreaking complaint, is that my wedding cake was cut and served despite verbal instructions that there was to be no cake cutting. Our cake was very expensive, and I intended to bring it home with me. We had cupcakes for guests, but right after our cake cutting we were rushed out for photos and unbeknownst to me my cake was cut and served. I do have the top tier saved, but the whole thing was supposed to come home. Evidently there was "no note" to not cut the cake, and that the venue told them to cut it - I am certain I stated verbally that it was not to be cut so if there was "no note" it is because they neglected to write it down and it should have been confirmed with me. Now no matter what I will never get my wedding cake back even if I am somehow able to be compensated financially for the loss.
My mom paid for the catering, so she did email Rosa's to address these concerns a few days ago, but the only response she received was "We're sorry you were disappointed, there was no note to not cut the cake."
There are so many good reviews for this company that I am shocked this was our experience, but I'm so disappointed with nearly every aspect of the service we received aside from the wonderful and attentive staff who were present, especially the response my mom received when she tried to address things later. It feels like they were happy to take our money and not worry about anything else.

Hello Kayla, I apologize for the delay in responding to your review. I wanted to gather mo...
re information on the overall situation before reaching out to you. On behalf of myself and my management, I would like to sincerely apologize for your experience with Rosa’s Catering not exceeding your expectations. I do not take for granted that you chose Rosa’s Catering over many other catering companies in the area. The response your mother received from my office team was not intended to be dismissive. After reading your feedback, I understand it was received just as such and this is a disappointing aspect for you. The following is a detailed response to your complaint. Our Sales Manager clarified the meaning of our pasta station over the phone and again via email on September 25th (one month prior to your event.) Thank you for giving feedback on the pasta station needing to be more transparent on the website. You absolutely can take the wording on our website two different ways, as we discussed in September. I will address the wording with our Website Manager. During that discussion we gave you several options trying to accommodate your needs. You mentioned gluten free and vegan options during our discussion. At that time, you were informed that your choice of a pasta station did not satisfy either of those dietary restrictions. We did reach out to your day of vendors and staff regarding the pasta, chicken, and garlic bread, in which we did not get the same critique. The response that we did receive was that your guests went through the buffet two to four times. We only had 4 cups of alfredo remaining at the end of service, which we did pack up for you, along with two pans of pasta. As far as the cubed cheese, we discard due to the length of time it remains on the buffet (Ceremony through dinner service). It is against our policy to pack up cheese as it is a safety and liability concern. We researched all correspondence between you and Rosa’s Catering Service. Rosa’s Catering never had any conversation with you regarding your cake other than “we cut and serve your cake at no cost to you.” The coordinator approached us at at the event twice requesting that we serve the bride and groom a slice of cake and that we cut the bottom tier of the cake for the guests. We saved the top tier of the cake for you as we do in all weddings. Again, we are very sorry for your dissatisfaction and regret that instructions about your cake were never relayed to us. To my management and staff, I have reiterated the importance of a full, professional, and amiable response to ensure our clients concerns are best handled. We appreciate your review and hope you have a wonderful upcoming holiday season.

We hired Rosa’s after another caterer fell through a couple of months before our wedding. They were easy to book quickly and they communicated professionally. Our only issue was that there wasn’t quite enough food for our guests. One item ran out completely so many guests didn’t get any. There wasn’t quite enough of anything for guests to be able to get seconds. The food was amazing though and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Rosa's Catering was an amazing cherry on top to our day. We chose the Taco bar package and added queso and coffee. It was so much fun to go through the buffet and build your own taco the way you wanted. Their severs were very kind and courteous to all our guest as well as all the special requests my family kept making. Couldn't have asked for a better catering company for our day.

We chose Rosa’s Catering for our rehearsal dinner on a Sunday evening in April in Gatlinburg. The food was absolutely fantastic (we ordered BBQ) and it was such a pleasant surprise seeing the owners of the company there delivering the food and helping to set up. That really underscores Rosa’s dedication to providing excellent service. Thank you so much! We highly recommend them! -Fran and Doug Floyd

Rosa's Catering was great to work with. They were so supportive of us choosing a menu we, as the couple, really wanted and encouraged us to not be too swayed by what our guests may/may not have wanted. We changed our minds about a million times about what menu we wanted for our wedding day and they were so understanding and flexible! They also worked incredibly well with food allergies/restrictions for our guests. Their whole team was so attentive and supportive of us as the couple the entire night. They even supplied cutlery and plates for our cake, even though we purchased it through another vendor. They were organized and the food was great. We are an LGBTQ+ couple and felt really supported by this team at every turn.

Rosa's was all around wonderful! I was able to attend their free open house prior to my wedding to try the food. It really helped me choose the menu for my wedding without having to arrange a tasting. Additionally, Ginger was able to help me with changes, additions, and questions throughout the planning process. She was so amazing to work with! On wedding day, the servers were attentive, with swift and excellent service. I barely knew they were there. We choose the spinach strawberry salad, mushroom ravioli, chicken fresco, red mashed pots, and mixed grilled veggies. My guests raved about how tasty everything was! You won't go wrong with hiring Rosa's for your big day!

Rosa’s is the epitome of professionalism. Ginger and her crew are a dream to work with - for our wedding, they brought us in and let us try literally everything, and we honestly had a really difficult time narrowing down what we wanted that night! They were great about updating our estimates as our headcounts fluctuated, they helped us set aside special plates for our guests with dietary restrictions, and they were always happy to talk through anything during the planning process and immediately follow up with emails as well. We were really excited for our guests to try the citrus chicken and the mushroom ravioli we picked, and as we made our way around each table EVERYONE was telling us how good the food was. We were also ecstatic that we got some big to-go boxes, because of course, we didn’t eat a lot day-of, so we were able to enjoy the meal all over again with our friends the following night.
Choosing - and then communicating with - vendors for a wedding can be intimidating and difficult. But working with Rosa’s, we knew we’d be taken care of, that they’d be reliable, and that the results would be fantastic. As an events coordinator, I’ve worked with Rosa’s before and always chose them for those exact reasons, and after our wedding I’d continue to choose them again and again for any catering I’d ever need. Highly recommend.

Rosas's was easy to work with and very professional, they have an extensive menu with whatever kind of food you could want. We had 30 guests at our wedding and served crabcakes benedict, duck and waffles, spinach quiche, and some smaller sides. All the food was absolutely delicious! It was SO GOOD, all our guests complimented the food and we didn't have any leftovers. The portionn sizes were pretty good and the pricing was fair. They were responsive, and uncomplicated to book and pay. My reason docking stars is that we had agreed on a drop-off plated service, but when they got to the venue they asked one of my guests where they should put the food, in the kitchen or "on the table" and the guest said in the kitchen, no one asking me (the bride). So we ended up with buffet style instead of plated which caused issues with portions and some people not getting to try everything. I'm not sure where the miscommunication was but I feel strongly that if they had any questions they should NOT be asking random guests of the wedding.

I got married in New Market, TN but my husband and I are currently living in South Carolina. I was nervous to hire a caterer without being able to taste test the food, but these good reviews did not steer me wrong!
Ginger was wonderful to work with, she continually communicated with me leading up to the event. On the day of our wedding, the food was tasty and more importantly-- they simply showed up and took care of business. I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable and seamless plated dinner for 150 people. It was SUCH a blessing to be able to relax, eat, drink, and be married!

Extremely unsatisfied, not only do we feel like we were completely ripped off, but the service we have recieved has been seriously lacking. We paid over $750 for food for 50 people, we had 28 guests, and yet we had to heat up leftovers from our rehearsal dinner to feed everyone. We are very easy people to please. There is absolutely no way we recieved 50 people worth of food. no way. We purposely ordered more then we needed to have leftovers the next day, but yet we had to reheat the previous nights food to feed our guests. When I finally talked to someone at Rosa's, we recieved extremely rude service and we were told we did recieve enough food. we had a taco bar and had to throw half of the flour tortillas away because they were about to mold, the chips we recieved were opened and the bag was half empty. The food was pathetic at best. We were told by Ginger that she was going to reach out to the owner and they would respond, have yet to hear anything & I have tried to follow up and nobody is responding. Literally had a perfect wedding day except for this. Would never recommend this company.

We are so sorry for your unpleasant experience. On the date of your event, Ginger, our Ge...
neral Manager, reached out to you immediately after receiving your complaint. Ginger left a message with her contact information through phone, email and text. We heard nothing from you until a week later. During that week, we researched the quantities sent on your delivery and determined that the proper and adequate amounts were sent, 135 taco shells and 18 pounds of taco meat in addition to all the sides. We deliver and serve taco stations multiple times every week. We hear from clients constantly on the wonderful quality and bountiful amounts that we prepare. When we received your phone call a week later, we agreed to refund $200.00 of the $545.00 that you paid Rosa’s Catering for your food. We replied to an email you sent asking for a name and address for which to send the refund. We have reached out to you twice since then in hopes of obtaining the necessary information to forward you a refund. We are still waiting on your reply.

As a destination bride that couldn't make a trip for a tasting, I was a bit nervous hiring a caterer. Rosa's not only catered our wedding, but also our rehearsal dinner, farewell brunch, & bridal luncheon. Ginger and her team were SO easy to work with & accommodating to what we wanted. The food & their presentation & service turned out better than we could have ever imagined & exceeded all of our expectations. They made the most amazing paella (a special dish we requested) for our rehearsal dinner. They catered my bridal luncheon the morning of my wedding with sandwiches, fruit, & pasta salad & the girls loved it! All of the wedding food turned out delicious. We had pizzettes, meatballs & crab cakes for our cocktail hour - HIGHLY recommend. We had a stir fry station, chicken skewers and veggie skewers, mini burgers and mini sweet potato biscuits with turkey, plus mini assorted desserts and strawberries with chocolate fondue for our reception. The chicken skewers are a MUST have but we truly enjoyed all of it! They also catered our farewell brunch on Sunday morning after the wedding with a biscuit bar, omelet station, and fruit/parfait station & it was just amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend Rosa's for any wedding-related event!

Rosa's Catering was my first choice in choosing a baker for my wedding cake. Not only are their cakes beautiful, but they are always moist and delicious. After getting to know them as a bride myself, I have recommended Rosa's Catering as a photographer and venue owner to many of my own brides. They go above and beyond to create an amazing event with so many catering selections and friendly staff who step in above their own job duties to assist with events. They also pack a take-home box of food for the bride and groom, they are attentive to the guests needs, they clean the tables quickly, and they take the trash with them when the event is over - something not all caterers do. They are the best!
