My family had a wonderful experience with Running Deer Golf Club. I attended as part of the bridal party for my sister's wedding this past weekend. Not only was the venue beautiful, we had to pleasure of working with our wonderful maitre'd, Heather DeRosa. She made sure that the event ran smoothly and seamlessly the entire day. She felt like our own personal wedding planner, making sure that everyone was where they needed to be, the event was running on time, and everything and everyone was taken care of the entire night. Kind, considerate, and attentive, she checked in throughout the night to make sure we got what we needed. Going above and beyond my expectations. I definitely recommend this venue for your future wedding!

We just had our wedding on 9/21/18. All I can say is Running Deer is the most amazing local venue. They responded quickly to any emails. They followed all the instructions for my centerpieces and welcome table to the “T”. Our wedding concierge, Heather was the most attentive and sweet person. She made sure we did not run out of food or drinks! Kaitlyn is also amazing and made everything so comfortable and smooth running. They are definitely pros and are there to make your big day perfect!

I cannot write enough positive things about Running Deer Golf Club as a wedding venue. From the moment my wife and I walked in we knew we had to have our wedding there. The venue had everything I was looking for, high ceilings, a woodsy outdoor feel, and friendly people working there, good food, and a large space to get ready with our giant wedding party, bonus points for being a very reasonable price. Being a same sex wedding we had lots of different requests and Running Deer was able to accommodate all of them. Our wedding coordinators Olivia (sadly is no longer there), Kaitlyn, and the two Heathers answered many emails promptly and always had all the answers. We visited the venue multiple times before the wedding and they were always eager to show us whatever we came to look at. We loved too that Running Deer didn’t pressure us to use their list of preferred vendors. My wife and I have some close friends that we used and we did DIY for the up lighting. Our rehearsal ran seamlessly, which I was afraid would be difficult because we have 20 adults and six kids in our wedding. The Heather’s made sure everything ran smooth and I wasn’t worried the day of the wedding because everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing and where they were supposed to stand. The day of the wedding came and we couldn’t say enough things about our concierge Heather. From the moment she showed up she was so attentive and helpful, but not over bearing. She helped order and serve lunch and drinks to my bridal party. She was helpful in keeping us way ahead of our timeline and made sure once my wife showed up that we didn’t accidentally run into each other. During the wedding she made sure we always had a fresh drink, plenty of food, and anything else we needed. She took care of minor issues as they arrived during the wedding. I cannot say enough fantastic things about her. The venue itself was beautiful. Grounds well-kept and perfect for pictures. Bathrooms clean. Beautiful choice of ceremony spaces. We choose the pergola. The ballroom was set up perfect! I was blown away how the created tables with all of the small personal touches we brought along. Even at the last minute Running Deer was able to produce an easel to hang a sign I completely forgot about but wanted out at the ceremony. The food was more than five stars. We did the plated dinner package and the dinner was huge portions served in a timely manner. Everyone is still talking about how wonderful the food was. At the end of the night we choose to add on the Beat the Hangover Bar for our guests. After the fact we realized it was way too much food! At the end of the evening guests are given warm chocolate chip cookies as they leave. Also Running Deer has a chocolate dessert room that is divine. Everything about our day was perfect and I wish we could do it again!!!! Now we just need to find friends to get married at Running Deer so we can enjoy it as guests!!

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about the Running Deer! Kait and Heather are amazinggggggggggg! I had looked at 11 wedding venues before I found the Running Deer (so as you can tell, I’m very picky!). This venue is truly a diamond in the rough! It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but that is what makes it so special. It’s so quiet and secluded so you are guaranteed to not have any wedding crashers haha! Not only is the venue stunning inside and out, it is a great value! We signed up during a special they had and we got an entire hour of open bar for free in addition to a $500 Visa gift card as a gift from them the day of our wedding. Other perks: if you want to do floating candles in vases on mirrors for centerpieces, they offer that free of charge (specifically, vases and mirrors included)! The cake is included as well and it was DELCIOUS!!! For cocktail hour, they offered a macaroni station which was included (usually venues will charge a lot for stations during cocktail hour). They even accommodated our signature drink without an extra charge! Colored table cloths and napkins are also included. If you want something fancy (sequins for example) it is an extra charge, but some venues don’t even include colored linens so that is a huge perk! They have an entire chocolate indulgence room that is also included and my guests said the deserts were outrageously delicious! They even include warm homemade cookies as guests leave at the end of the night. Literally this venue is a dream! After your wedding is over, they don’t make you clean everything up that night, instead they will gather it for you and you can come by the next day to pick everything up! If you are looking for a place that is gorgeous with high ceilings, amazing food (huge portions by the way!), excellent service, and an amazing value, this is the place for you! Kait was my main point of contact throughout the entire process and she is so responsive, professional, flexible, and accommodating. I was a very particular bride with my vision and she was very accommodating and ensured me that everything I wanted would be carried out. For instance, I wanted the cake wheeled to the middle of the dance floor for the cake cutting and she was able to accommodate us. I also asked that someone pass out our sparklers and light them at the end of the night for the sparkler send off and she accommodated us as well! Everything we wanted, she always said yes, we can do that! She made it happen! A lot of venues have particular rules and guidelines you have to follow, but the Running Deer is so flexible. You can tell they just want you to be happy at the end of the day! The day of our wedding, Heather was our concierge. Heather is a ROCKSTAR! Every time I needed something, she was there asking if she could get me anything. She brought my girls and I some champagne free of charge the day of the wedding and continued to provide refills for us when needed. She brought us food while we were getting ready as well! She even offered to help me in the bathroom during the wedding! Seriously, she is a saint! Always willing to help without any hesitation. The day of my wedding it unfortunately rained, but Heather let me wait until an hour and a half before the wedding instead of the usual 2 hour time limit, to make the decision on whether the ceremony would be inside. Unfortunately, we had to hold it inside, but everything was done beautifully and the staff is so quick with set-up!

Running Deer made my vision for my wedding come to life. They know exactly what they are doing and help you every step of the way. The day of the wedding they were by my side to make it absolutely perfect! The food was amazing and they really pay attention to the details making everything look gorgeous.

My husband I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Running Deer! Olivia, Kaitlyn, Heather, and the entire Running Deer staff are amazing! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and it was all because of them! Olivia and Kaitlyn were incredible throughout the wedding planning process! They were friendly, and always available to help with questions through email or over the phone! Heather was amazing on the day of the wedding! She was always there for anything we needed - food, drinks, desserts, things we left outside or downstairs, anything and everything! Kaitlyn and Heather were wonderful in setting up all my DIY decor! They truly made my vision for the wedding a reality, all while they made me stay in the bridal suite to just relax and enjoy every second of the day! On top of the amazing staff, the venue is beautiful, and the food/dessert is delicious! There are two amazing ceremony sites, beautiful spots for pictures all over the property, a spacious patio for cocktail hour, a huge rustic but classy ballroom, and spacious bridal suites! The food was all delicious, and people are still raving about how awesome the chocolate indulgence room was! Running Deer was perfect, and my husband and I are so so happy that we were able to get married there!

We are so thankful to have gotten married and start our forever at Running Deer. From day 1 Kaitlyn was so helpful and answered any questions or concerns. Day of was nothing short of amazing. While I didn’t have any because I was taking pictures, I heard AMAZING reviews of the Mac and cheese bar. Heather was by my side all day. Running Deer is a great place for a great price and really has some unique features and add ons that aren’t available for the same price at other locations.

We got married at Running Deer in April 2018. The entire staff - from the team who helped us set up all of our initial details all the way through to our day-of concierge and banquet staff - was very helpful. They were responsive, professional and allowed us to bring our own style and creativity to our wedding! Our guests loved the venue and raved about the food all night long! I really appreciated that they helped us along and worked with us every step of the way. We highly recommend Running Deer!

We cannot say enough about Running Deer. It's such a beautiful venue whether you are having an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Olivia and Kaitlyn were both amazing. They made my wedding planning so easy and answered any questions I had. Krista was so great and making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding, and also always had a drink ready for me! The food is delicious! I would recommend this venue to any and everyone!!

After seeing so many venues in such a short period of time, as soon as we walked into Running Deer Golf Club my husband and I fell in love. It was beyond perfect for the theme of our wedding, rustic & country. There were a few hiccups along the way, but nothing that wasn't or couldn't be resolved. They were very accommodating in a sense that when something was brought to their attention they did whatever they could to satisfy the both of us. It was a pleasure working with Olivia. She was very attentive and loyal to my husband and I throughout the entire planning process. She ensured us that our wedding day would be perfect and that is exactly what it was. Heather was AMAZING. They weren't kidding when they said she will not leave our side. She didn't miss a beat ALL night. She kept my husband and I afloat and for that we are truly grateful! Along the way, we met several other staff members, whom also didn't disappoint so thank you all for you hard work and assistance. The food was terrific. The chef, Steve was great to us! Our guests had such an amazing time. Three weeks later and they are still raving about it all, which warms our hearts tremendously. It was such a beautiful night from start to finish, one we wish we could revisit. Thank you Running Deer Gold Club, for making the best day of our lives so very magical!!! :)

Had our wedding here on 3/10/18 and it was BEYOND PERFECT. From the venue to the service, the staff really went above and beyond. Olivia and Kaitlyn were very helpful and responsive to my questions and Heather was SO attentive to my needs throughout the night!

Running Deer was absolutely perfect! We got married here on 10/27/2017 and couldn't have been happier. From the moment we signed the contract we knew we picked the right place. Olivia is so very helpful, flexible, and super responsive to any and all questions that we had throughout the planning process. During the wedding, Krista made sure that my husband and I were well fed and that we always had a fresh drink. We cannot say enough good things about this amazing place, from the grounds to the staff, Olivia and her team made my special day the most magical and beautiful day of my life. Even though it there was a down pour the day of our wedding the Running Deer team made sure the indoor ceremony was just as elegant and beautiful as the out door ceremony! I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to handle my wedding they really made it the most memorable day I will ever have! Thank you All so much.

It was a pleasure to work with Olivia for the planning, and the buffet, drink, and table service staff was great. The food and setup was excellent (and the chocolate room is amazing!) Last but certainly not least, Heather was our coordinator during the event and was on point as soon as we met her that morning all the way until we walked out the door that night and made the whole thing completely effortless for us. It was the best we could have hoped for and then some!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!! My husband and I had our wedding last Saturday ( 9-16-17), and everything was perfect! After looking at 6 different venues, we knew Running Deer was where we had to have our wedding at! The atmosphere is very welcoming and I definitely did not have nearly as many nerves on my BIG day because of the venue being so comfortable. From day 1, Olivia was there for every question and would respond to every email very promptly! Besides the staff being AMAZING, so is the food!! Our guest kept saying it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! If you are looking for a rustic and elegant place for your wedding, Running Deer is the place for your BIG day!!!

My husband and I are so thankful we chose Running Deer as our venue. From the moment we walked in as potential wedding venue to the time we said "I Do", Running Deer went above and beyond to take care of everything we needed and/or wanted to include in our wedding. Olivia and Krista were the most amazing wedding coordinators! Our wedding happened to be on the hottest day in June and Krista went above and beyond to make a sweaty bride more comfortable, ensured we were able to enjoy our food, always made sure we had a drink in our hand. Our guests are still raving about the venue, food, and attentiveness from the staff. When we arrived the next day to pick up our decorations, they were neatly placed in boxes so all we needed to do was load them into the car. We are so thankful for everything Running Deer did to make our wedding original and special for us. Running Deer has it all and created a no stress atmosphere.

I have never in my life received the amount of attention that running deer gave to us for our wedding. Everything was perfect! Olivia and Krista went above and beyond to make the day everything that we ever could have ever dreamed of.

I can't thank the Running Deer team enough for such an amazing wedding experience. From the day we met with Olivia, she was so attentive and made the planning part a breeze. The more we got into the planning process, the more people we met. They did not disappoint as well. Everyone got back to every email and were so accommodating and friendly. They answered every question that I had and did everything in their power to make what I wanted happen. Everything was flawless from the day we booked with them. No one skipped a beat. The day of was nothing short of that as well. From the moment we walked into the bridal suite, Angel was there to help us with anything we needed. We cannot say enough about this venue and its staff after our wedding was here in January 2017. Beautiful grounds and ballroom, with great details that help make your wedding feel rich and luxurious despite the excellent deal in their packages. The staff is absolutely incredible - they put maximum effort into every single detail, taking your dream in your head and making it a perfect reality. Olivia and Sam answered all my questions so quickly and were so helpful in the planning, Mary Jo was absolutely wonderful on the day of our wedding, and the entire staff was professional, kind, and helped keep things on track the entire night. We didn't have to lift a finger the day of the wedding, and really didn't worry about anything since it was all taken care of from start to finish. So many of our guests complimented us on it being one of the best weddings they had ever been to. We seriously don't think our wedding could've been any more perfect and flawless, and we credit Running Deer for the most amazing night of our lives!

Running Deer was amazing! The staff there (especially Mary Jo, Olivia, and Sam) were wonderful! The entire night was perfect. It's over a month later and I'm still getting compliments on our reception. Food was perfect, but that wasn't surprising after our tasting. Running Deer worked with us on every idea we had. Mary Jo was absolutely amazing- every time we needed a drink or something to eat, she was right there! And she made the whole night flow so smoothly! Every vendor we worked with came up and commented on how smooth the entire event was! We could not have asked for anything more! It was PERFECT!

I had the most amazing winter wedding here. I can't believe how flawless the whole wedding turned out. I had Olivia every step of the way to make sure everything was on track and done correctly and Mary Jo and the whole RD Staff made my ceremony and reception a dream come true. I would recommend this venue to anyone! I was looking for a more rustic feel and that's exactly what I got at Running Deer.

Words can not describe how amazing Running Deer Golf Course is. From the moment we had our private champagne tour with Heather and Olivia, there was no doubt that I wanted to get married anywhere else. Being in the wedding business, I was a very particular bride with many requests, and a lot of questions. My calls and emails were always returned promptly, and I never had a worry after talking with Olivia or Samantha. I had a custom menu and everyone raved about the food. My grandfather still talks about the prime rib haha! When it came time for our big day, I had not one bit of stress. Everyone was so assuring prior to this that I knew there was nothing to worry about. Our day of coordinator Mary Jo was a saint.Our food was always hot, and our drinks were never empty. She was there all day working with our florists helping make everything exactly how I had invisioned. Might I add, she was awesome when it came to our children. Trying to enjoy your day with a two and four year old, is a little difficult. Mary Jo did whatever it took to keep our kids occupied so we could enjoy ourselves. The servers were all so helpful as well. Always smiling and congratulating us, and helping with anything we needed. One of my biggest pet peeves at an event is cluttered tables. The tables were always spotless and cleared in a timely matter making it easier for my guest to enjoy themselves. Anyone who is looking for a stress free, absolutely perfect day, at a beautiful venue, look no further Running Deer Golf Course and their staff will surely exceed your expectations.

We had an absolutely perfect experience with Running Deer for our wedding on 10/28/16! I can not say enough good things about the staff we worked with over the last year- Heather, Olivia, Samantha and Mary Jo. Heather, Olivia and Samantha were quick to answer all of my emails and really helped guide me through the whole process. I fell in love with the venue the first time I saw it, and it was STUNNING the day of. More beautiful than I could have imagined. Olivia and Mary Jo were so helpful the day of, and Mary Jo was very attentive to me, my bridal party and our parents every need. Best Day ever!! Thank you Running Deer!!

Our experience at Running Deer was one we will never forget. From the moment we checked out the venue we knew this is where we wanted to get married and celebrate with our loved ones. Olivia, Samantha, and Krista were great. They were on top of everything, from making sure everything was set up properly, to making sure we ate during the night. We had about 140 people and they ALL had a great night. Everyone loved the food. Service was great as well. Thank you to everyone at Running Deer Golf Club for providing my wife and I with the greatest night of our lives!

My son had his wedding here. RD did such a good job. The food was fantastic and the staff was awesome. They were helpful all day and night and couldn'the do enough for us. We had a great event thanks to them.

My wedding at Running Deer on 10/14/16 was incredible. I felt the entire experience with Running Deer was organized and easy to keep on top of, which was especially important with my type-A personality and limited time for planning given I work many hours. Everyone was highly responsive to my (sometimes multiple a day) emails and questions. Even the day of, any change I wanted to make was done with ease and confidence. Having such competent wedding professionals to work with made the day go off without a hitch. Many people commented during the process and day of that I seemed like such a relaxed bride, and I think that was truly a testament to the Running Deer wedding team.

Our Running Deer Golf Club wedding exceeded our expectations. I fell in love with RD when I attended a bridal show there. Hook. Line. Sinker. I was to be married no where but RD. From its breath-taking building, secluded in a small town in New Jersey, you walk around back and find the most beautiful golf course, and a beautiful pergola where most couples seeking an outside ceremony, decide to get married at. The inside ball room is everything we were hoping for, and the giant wall of windows will take your breath away. Our September 2016 wedding was planned in 3 months total because my fiancé is in the service and was getting restationed in the US. Olivia M. was my go to gal, when I met her at RD bridal show 8 months prior she was sweet, kind, understanding, and wanted to work with us to meet our budget being a young couple, but to also give us the wedding of our dreams! Boy did she. Olivia was there to answer any questions I had (which was a lot!) Samantha was a big help too with my questions. Come the day of the wedding, I have to say if my coordinator Krista was not there, I don't know what I would have done. Krista exceeded all our expectations and went above and beyond for us. We felt truly cared for the day of the wedding. I was a DIY bride and Krista started off helping me set up my center pieces and decorations so I could relax and enjoy our bridal lunch. Every time we needed her, we didn't have to look for her. Every time we didn't have a drink in our hands she was there to replenish it. She saw that it was very hard for us to eat, she saved us a plate of hors d' ovderves, she brought us our Mac and cheese martini to eat while we were waiting to get introduced, chauffeured us first to get our dinners and made sure that no one stopped us on the way, boxed our food for us, and brought us all of our cakes and desserts to try. Weddings are super hectic and normally the bride and groom do not have time to actually enjoy it, but with Krista we enjoyed every minute and felt completely relaxed. Krista is a very hard worker, and I could tell she truly loves what she does. I would recommend everyone I know to plan their wedding at RD and with the friendly staff there.

Running Deer was the perfect choice for our wedding day! Their space offers the perfect amount of room without it being overwhelming! We fell in love as soon as we walked through the front doors. Mary Jo is the Maitre D for the Bride and Groom the day of the wedding and she is AMAZING! Our wedding day was over 100 degrees with the heat index and Mary Jo was right by our sides with water and cool towels as needed. Guests complimented the venue numerous times on their attentiveness upon arrival as they were greeted with cool towels and water for our outdoor ceremony. The cocktail hour and dinner food was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy. For having an outdoor ceremony, the grounds were very quiet and all could hear the ceremony. Olivia and Samantha were wonderful to work with! They listened to every idea, want and need my husband and I asked for and were extremely quick to answer any concerns.

HOLY PERFECT! I can't begin to thank Running Deer and their staff enough! This was the only venue we visited that we felt like family right away! Everyone greeted us and seemed excited for us from the pro shop to the bartenders! The day of our wedding we thought maybe a few little things might get missed, which I was ok with because I knew I had A LOT of demands but I was wrong. NOT ONE DETAIL WAS MISSED. On top of that, they added certain touches to the decor that I didnt plan and Loved. Thank you to the entire staff at RD! The food was INCREDIBLE, service was outstanding and the venue is one of a kind! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

We cannot say enough about Running Deer!! We were married on site on Sept 16, 2016 and everything was perfect!! Heather, Olivia and Samantha were so easy to work with! They replied quickly to any questions that we had and when one wasn't available the others would be sure to reply almost immediately! MaryJo was our go to person on our wedding day and she was there for us every step of the way! She made sure we had everything we needed and helped me with getting dressed and even brought us food and drinks during our pictures and made sure we had anything and everything we needed. She was AMAZING!!!! All of our guests that we spoke to said they loved the food and the BEAUTIFUL venue! Look no further if you're trying to find a venue. This was without a doubt one of the best choices we made and worth every, single penny! Thank you so much to all of the staff at Running Deer for truly making our wedding day the most perfect day ever!!

My husband and I are so thankful that we had our wedding at Running Deer Golf Club. From the moment we stepped foot into the venue we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. The site was beautiful and the staff was amazing. They were all so organized, detailed and helpful. They never tired of our constant questions especially the weeks before the wedding. Hurricane Hermine was supposed to hit NJ on the day of our wedding and while our Florist was pressuring us to make a decision to have the ceremony inside 12 hours before we had originally agreed to decide, the Running Deer Staff was helping us track the wedding and dealing with my florist for me. The weather ended up being perfect and thanks to Running Deer I was able to make the decision to have it outside. On the day of my wedding they did everything for me. They set up my complicated centerpieces, welcomed and took care of my guests that all arrived early and made sure that we had everything we needed. The food was incredible!!! From the dinners to the salads and the cocktail hour. There was never a shortage of food and they were quick to refill any trays that emptied. the dessert room was something from a dream. Whether you like chocolate or not there is something for everyone. I wish I could eat the dinner I had that night over and over again. The portions are generous and the display is beautiful. I know we have all had a cold and bad dinner at a wedding and know how disappointing it can be. Have no fears about Running Deer's food. It is perfection. Our attendant Crystal was AMAZING. When I got to the venue I was upset because the Florist used less than half of the floral stems we agreed on in our contract. Instead of letting me or my bridal party get upset, Crystal called my florist for me and had her come out and fill the vases with more flowers. In case the florist wouldn't do it Crystal actually had her grandma on standby who grew flowers on her own to help me. That kind of service is just not something you find at other places. I literally cannot imagine having a better wedding day and I owe that to Running Deer Country Club and their incredible staff. I recommend this venue to any bride who wants a beautiful, private, stress free wedding. Running Deer is an easy choice that you will be thankful you made. Call Heather, Olivia or Samantha and start your wedding planning off on the right foot. Once you pick the venue, especially the right venue everything else falls into place. Love at first sight and a dream come true! We loved everything about Running Deer from the get go. My fiancé (now husband) and I looked at each other, when leaving our first look at the venue and said to each other “ok, what’s wrong with it?” Other than being a little bit of a drive for us, we couldn’t find anything wrong! After looking at other venues, we appreciated the upfront pricing. Everything was included and they weren’t trying to nickel and dime you to death over silly things like chair covers. We also liked that we would be the only event and would not have to compete with another wedding going on at the same time. It was really a no brainer to me when they mentioned the macaroni and cheese bar! It was such a pleasure to work with everyone at Running Deer. I was an extremely busy bride, working full time at a very demanding job. Heather and Olivia were so professional and responsive to all of my questions (and I had a ton!). They made the process so easy and seamless from start to finish. Every wedding has its hiccups but they made our day go incredibly smooth. On the day of our wedding, it was pouring for hours and stopped only 2 short hours before the ceremony. They had an eye to the sky and were ready to go as soon as it stopped. Our maître d’ , Mary jo and the staff were so calm and collected, it was very reassuring to a nervous bride checking the radar every 5 minutes. Olivia ran our rehearsal so well the ceremony was a breeze. The reception also went exceptionally smooth. Mary Jo even helped refill the flower girls’ bubble guns when they were having a meltdown about their bubbles running out. She also made sure I got my very own glass of mac-n-cheese, knowing that was my favorite part of the whole deal! I had so many compliments from everything from the room to the food. I personally do not eat red meat but I had several reports of the filet being the best they’ve ever had at a wedding! I was extremely happy we chose Running Deer and would choose it a thousand times more. Thank you all for making our day practically perfect!

My husband and I wanted a venue that was beautiful but not 'stuffy' as many of the ballrooms we had visited. Running Deer Golf Club was the perfect spot for us. The team there was amazing and worked so hard to ensure that our day was everything we'd pictured. All of the guests raved about the food and service they received. From the first introduction with the events team to driving away after our reception they were attentive, responsive and kind. Many thanks to Olivia, Sam, MJ and team!

I cannot say enough good things about Running Deer and their staff! From the early planning stages until the last dance on our wedding night, Running Deer was amazing! I e-mailed Olivia what feels like a thousand times; she always responded quickly and was always so helpful with all of my questions. Mary Jo and her team were amazing on our wedding day. She was there to help with absolutely anything myself or my bridal party needed. Olivia, Mary Jo, and the whole RD team really went above and beyond what I could have ever expected! I would highly recommend Running Deer to any future bride and groom. Their venue is absolutely gorgeous and their staff is top notch! You will not be disappointed with your choice!

I attended a wedding here and it was wonderful!! The outside ceremony site was gorgeous. The outdoor ceremony was perfect, followed by cocktail hour outside along the back patio. The staff was great, they provided wonderful service. As soon as the ceremony was over they were standing with hot hor d' erves ready to serve. The reception room was very pretty with windows over-looking the outside. The only downside was my phone wasn't getting reception there because it's far back in the woods. They have a great bridal suite room. Food was delicious from cocktail hour, to the buffet, to the decadent dessert room, and the send off snacks and cookie on the way out the door!!

My husband and I got married at Running Deer on October 23, 2015. The Running Deer staff couldn't have made our day any more special. Krista, the wedding day coordinator is beyond incredible. She made sure everything was perfect, from bringing us our lunch and drinks to the bridal suite while myself and bridal party got ready for the ceremony to setting up all of our personal decor that we brought for the reception. She made sure my husband and I were the first to eat dinner and as you were finishing your drink she was waiting with a new one in her hand! The whole bridal party and parents took notice to Krista as well because her hard work not only showed but made everybody's day and experience outstanding. Heather and Olivia were nothing short of amazing as well...I had a ton of questions while planning for the big day and they are always quick to answer questions and to give suggestions. Running Deer made sure to make a seperate meal for a family member with Celiac's disease, and the venue being handicap accessible was a must so that my husband's grandparents could be with us on our wedding day. The Running Deer staff also helped to take care of our little ring bearer, who less than an hour before the ceremony accidently got hit in the head with a golf club by one of our child groomsmen. The staff called a doctor that was golfing there, and the situation was already taken care of before I had heard about it. The food is amazing and the whole day went fantasticly. If we could give our whole experience 10 stars, we would! Thank you Running Deer for the best day!

First of all, I was not the typical bride who wanted to see one venue and book right away. I made my husband come with me to 13 venues in south jersey! (He was less than thrilled). When we saw Running Deer we BOTH loved it!!! There was no doubt in both of our minds that was the place for us. Not only because the venue is beautiful and so different than most in SJ but because of the staff there too. Heather greeted us with champagne when we came in for our tour and was so knowledgeable. We had tons of questions and she answered them all right away! My husbands favorite part was actually the mens lounge. He loved that unlike all the other places we saw he and his groomsmen would have a place to hangout before the ceremony as well. They have a poker room, TV room and he played their xbox (or whatever it is lol) the whole time! The day of was PERFECT!!! Heather and Olivia made it so you honestly feel like you dont have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. Our wedding coordinator Krista was amazing too. She was with us from beginning to end of the wedding that day and whatever we needed she was there!! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE AT RUNNING DEER!!!!! xoxoxo

Running Deer Exceeded all of our expectations. My wife and I had the best day of our lives thanks to Running Deer Golf Club, Heather, Olivia, Mary Jo and their staff. The Food was AMAZING!!! My guests are still talking about it. Heather and Olivia made sure to get back to my 10000 emails of questions quickly and ensured all of my requests and vision came to fruition. May Jo was our wedding coordinator for the day of and was right by our side the entire time. I had both my ceremony and reception at Running Deer and everything was perfect! The food was delicious and the service was top notch! Heather and Olivia were so helpful leading up to my wedding, promptly answering any crazy questions I had. Mary Jo was an angel the day of! She always made sure we had something to eat and drink. Being engaged for 3 years and planning a long distance wedding is tough. You start to look for venues, vendors, etc much earlier than if you were getting married where you live. I was working much farther out than most brides and if I can remember correctly booked our venue 2 1/2 years before the wedding due to only being in NJ 3 times before our wedding. When searching for venues I had a marathon of a weekend looking at venues all over the South Jersey area. From the second we walked in to the venue we knew it was the one. We were greeted, toured around, were able to look through countless photos of previous weddings and were able to envision what ours would look like. Two things really stood out to me with this venue. I know that Heather and Olivia had many other brides that had weddings before me but they answered every single question, sometimes within minutes, I asked. They were there to offer food, florist, cake, church, and decor suggestions. Heather and Olivia were both amazing in helping me. The second was Mary Jo. Mary Jo was with us from the second we showed up at the venue and she was hands down OUTSTANDING! She got our bridal party settled in downstairs and directed Jeremy and I and our photographers to the best places to take pictures. Made sure we had everything we needed before the wedding. Then took us upstairs before everyone got in there to see the amazing work her and her team did putting together all of our touches. As well as was there for us to help us, calm us and walk us through every step of the night. Running Deer was a fantastic wedding venue- from the staff, to the delicious food, to their great preferred vendors. I fully recommend them to everyone!

Our wedding was held here on October 24. It was absolutely amazing! Throughout the entire process Heather and Olivia were there to walk us through every step. They answered endless emails about tiny details and were so helpful. The day of coordinator, Krista was out of this world! She was right there for everything we could ever need. Our drinks and plates were never empty, neither were those of our parents. She made the entire day flawless. I spilled chocolate all over my dress towards the end of the night, and she was right there with club soda, scrubbing until it was clean! She went above and beyond to make our day perfect! I cannot say enough good things about her! Running Deer was also very accomadating with their food as I and several other guests of ours have Celiac's disease. We were also able to have fireworks here, which blew our guests away! I highly recommend this venue! Our wedding day was beyond anything we could have imagined!

Our son's wedding, from initial planning to the end of the reception was spectacular. Heather, MaryJo and the rest of the RD staff were accommodating and quick to respond to questions or concerns. The food ... amazing and we chose the least expensive buffet menu and it was delicious. We were able to add some extras like an aqua fresca station, cordial bar with dessert and beat the hangover buffet towards the end of the reception. The hall is beautiful and the outdoor ceremony space is as well. We used Savannah's Garden for the flowers. Truly the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. We would highly recommend Running Deer to anyone looking for a unique (not your typical wedding banquet hall look) wedding celebration. I really can't say enough about it. Thank you Running Deer for making our kids' dreams come true!

I’ll start with the positive: The chef and waiting staff were amazing! The food was done to perfection; he considered concerns we had at our food tasting and my wife’s lactose intolerance. So why the poor review: First, they asked for how to set up special tables that had, for example, pictures of my wife and I growing up. Considering their importance, I provided how I’d like the tables set up with diagrams to avoid any confusion. Despite this effort, no tables were set up how we specified displaying a lack of communication between the coordinator, Heather, and those actually setting up tables. Second, there were certain details they failed to mention or discuss with us about the day of the wedding. They failed to mention that if guest showed up a few minutes early, they would be diverted from the cocktail area to a side pub area; moreover, they failed to mention that guest in this pub wouldn’t have access to our pre-paid opened bar forcing them to pay for drinks. They then wouldn’t let my mother-in-law in to the cocktail hour despite the fact that she was paying for the event. Similar issues occurred throughout the night; they failed to inform us that the coat check would be moved to a different location which made many guest miss our wedding favors on their way out. Also, despite being told that an employee would be handing out our favors, there was no one present for most, if not all, of the night leaving many guest empty handed. The most important issue was their customer service. My mother-in-law attempted to contact them about a lost item and to discuss the mentioned issues after the event. At this point, Heather, the main contact in signing us and preparing for the day, simply never responded. Three months after the wedding, when our wedding photos were published in a magazine, Heather chose to contact us after seeing that we warned brides about discussing every detail with their vendor. This was disappointing as it seemed that our coordinator didn’t care for us or customer service, but was only concerned with avoiding negative press. What exacerbated this situation was their response to my wife who attempted to explain her reasoning. Instead of portraying any type of concern for unsatisfying services or showing any appreciation for bringing their pitfalls to their attention, Heather responded by implying it was our fault for not asking for these details. She stated such things as “we always use the bigger closet when it snows” and “we would have gladly started a tab (in the pub area for early guest) if we knew you wanted one”. This response missed the fact that we couldn’t ask for something to be done a certain way when we were not included in the decision making process. If we’re never informed that guest would be put in the pub, even when they show up five minutes early, then why would we ever ask for a tab to be made? The final disappointment was that when I emailed them to clarify this point, they still never expressed any remorse. Instead, Heather chose to essentially ignore my email. Ultimately, the food, environment, and layout is amazing, but once they receive your money, the customer service dissipates and they don’t care about you, your concerns, or your opinions as a customer. I feel this is important because, for us, the issues were minor but for others a lack of customer service on the part of their wedding coordinators, in particular, could result in significant problems on a very important day.

My sister hosted my bridal shower at the Running Deer, and it was a lovely event. We had a buffet brunch with really a great waffle station and a coffee station. The food was good and fresh, the space worked really well, and the staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and friendly. My only complaint is that the food was cleaned up an hour after the shower started, and people had wanted to go back for seconds. Also, my mother who was busy greeting and mingling with guests was never able to eat because of how quickly the food was put away. With that aside, I had a very enjoyable time.

From the very beginning to the very end, Running Deer Golf Club was fabulous! They helped with anything and everything that we needed leading up to our wedding day and the day of the wedding. I could call or email at any time and get a quick response which was very helpful. Also, the day of the wedding we were catered to all night, if we needed food or a drink it was right there. We absolutely loved it!!

My husband and I were married March 28, 2015. The day could not have run smoother. Every detail was covered and far exceeded my expectations. Every e-mail and phone call was answered in a timely and professional manner by Olivia and Heather. They listened to every request and made every effort to please us. Mary Jo was our maitre d for the day and she was pleasant and very attentative. She made sure we were all very well taken care of and did everything with a smile. She helped guide us into the various transitions such as when to do toasts and when to cut the cake, it was so helpful. She helped gather people for pictures. She made our day run so smoothly. I've never written a review where every single last detail and request was taken care of and went far beyond my expections. The food was amazing!!! We give it five stars!!! This was the best day of my life and Running Deer made sure that it was! Thank you!!! ~~Very happy Newlyweds!

Running Deer did a FABULOUS JOB for our wedding! The place was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. The biggest day of your life. The one day you will remember forever, why settle for something that's just okay. Running Deer had so much to offer. From the beautiful outside ceremony space, the perfect outdoor area for a cocktail hour and the enchanting inside area for your dream reception. Imagine the perfect day, standing outside, flowers in bloom- trees changing colors and your best friend next to you. With Running Deer, every detail from start to wedding day, is taken care of, stress free. They are constantly keeping you in the loop. I moved to NC 3 months before the wedding, and they were so on top of everything I never had to worry. From the perfect setting, the staff the day of was more than amazing! Our maitre'd the day of had every detail set up correctly, and once we arrived at the location, she made myself and my husband feel like we were a king & queen. If we needed something, we had it, if something needed changed, she was on top of it! The whole experience was incredible and I would do it over and over at Running Deer.

On September 20th, 2014, Heather, Mary Jo and the entire staff at Running Deer were phenomenal and helped to make my daughter’s wedding day absolutely perfect. Every detail was taken care of and I was able to enjoy the day without worry. The beautiful pergola, where the ceremony was held, is situated perfectly with the golf course in the background. The cocktail reception was held outdoors on the patio, and was very impressive. The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom, which is a gorgeous and spacious room. I can’t say enough good things about Mary Jo (Maitre d). She worked tirelessly and came to my rescue more then once. Her attentiveness is to be commended. She is an exceptional person and has the patience of a saint! I couldn’t have gotten through the day without her. The food was outstanding – kudos to the chef! We love food and consider ourselves foodies! For us, one of the most important aspects of picking a venue, was the quality of food. We received so many remarks on how delicious everything was from the hors d'oeuvres, to the desserts. They also have a delightful chocolate room, which was filled with so many different treats. Running Deer Golf Course was undeniably the most perfect choice for our daughter’s wedding. I would highly recommend for not only a wedding, but any event where you want a professional, courteous and attentive staff which compliments the beautiful grounds, amazing food and stunning Ballroom.

My wedding was at Running Deer Golf Club on 8/8/14. It was a gorgeous venue! The people we worked with to plan the wedding were kind, caring, and professional. Heather and Mary Jo made sure that the day ran smooth and even worked to try to fix a problem that we had with our florist. The food was amazing and people raved about the chocolate room! I can't say enough good things about Running Deer!

The second we pulled up, the staff was extremely helpful. My mother and maid of honor were delayed coming from the ceremony to the reception and so one of the coordinators helped me bustle my dress. Everything went smoothly and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hall was beautiful and the food was very good. I was amazed at all of the menu options and the items that were included for the price. Definitely the most reasonably priced venue for services provided.

I can't express enough how wonderful my wedding was this past weekend at Running Deer. The wedding coordinators (Heather and Olivia) were extremely helpful through the whole wedding planning process! On my wedding day, the maître d, Mary Jo, was a godsend, making sure everything was going perfect for us, but also making sure we had a drink in our hands, food to eat, etc. Not one of our guests had a bad word to say about the venue. In fact, I had many people said it was one of the best wedding food they have ever had. Thank you to all the people at Running Deer who made our day so spectacular and unforgettable!!! :)

So impressed with them, especially the day of the wedding. We dropped off all our handmade live centerpieces, cake toppers, and escort cards on Friday, and everything set up before cocktail hour EXACTLY how I imagined it. Mary Jo, the Maitre D, was the bomb. She checked in on us so often, bringing us drinks, apps, food, and even helping me put my shoes on. The food was amazing, and I felt you got a lot of bang for your buck. Not one complaint from any guests about food. I would absolutely recommend them as a venue. It is beautiful inside and out for awesome pictures. The bridal suite is awesome, just be aware there is a new rule about being able to only use it five hours prior. They did work around my schedule though which was awesome. Loved the included open bar and chocolate room. Made the venue a little extra special and memorable Also, the cake is included with the price but it is only bare-bone minimal, so plan to have to pay a little extra for flowers, decorations, etc. But... completely worth it! Wedding was even more perfect then I imagined!!! Want to relive it again!!!

We had arrived at Running Deer a year ago to look at the venue for our wedding. From the moment we got there, we felt welcome. We were greeted as soon as walked in with smiles and kindness as well as a nice glass of champagne. We had other appointments that day to look at venues but my fiancé had said, while walking out the door "Call and cancel the other appts- this is it. I don't want to go look at another venue". From that day on, anytime I had a question- I had called or emailed Heather and Olivia and they would get back to me either that day or the following day. They are so sweet and caring! On the day of our wedding- they were there for anything we needed and had a smile on their face. Our Maitre'd Mary Jo was phenomenal! Anything we needed, she was there. She was there to make sure we had a great day and we sure did. We didn't have to follow anyone around asking for a drink or anything, Mary Jo was right there for us. All of the staff at Running Deer were amazing and very professional. I will definitely recommend Running Deer to everyone!!!

The day from beginning to end was absolutely perfect. There wasn't a hiccup in the events. Leading up to the wedding, I was full of anxiety and questions and called quite a few times (okay, more than quite a few times!). Heather and Olivia handled me with absolute professionalism and calmness. They had an answer for everything and every step was very well organized. The day of the wedding could honestly not have gone any better. The maitre 'd, Mary Jo, was on top of everything we needed. I am positive that she handled so many things that I wasn't even aware of. My husband and I did not stress or have to worry about a single thing. Food, drinks, the order of events, anything we needed - was just perfect. We highly recommend this venue and the staff to anyone in search of a place to get married/have a reception. It was truly better than we could have imagined!!

Running Deer Golf Club and it's staff are amazing! My now husband and I were married there 9/1/2013 and it was everything we dreamed of and more. We literally went to every venue in South Jersey and choose Running Deer because of the great impression we received from the staff and also because of the beautiful location. From start to finish Heather was an absolute pleasure to work with. As a bride dealing with multiple issues, it was so nice to have someone who was so accommodating with all my questions and concerns. On the day of the wedding everything went so smoothly and everything I envisioned came to life thanks to the staff’s work to set up everything. Mary Jo was so great and made sure we were where we needed to be, kept us updated on what was next, and always made sure we had something to eat/drink. Knowing the staff at Running Deer had everything under control helped put our minds at ease so we were able to enjoy the day. I can’t tell you how many compliments I received from my guests saying what an amazing wedding we had. We received various raves about the outside pergola, the beautiful ballroom, and the scrumptious Chocolate Room. Running Deer is the perfect location for both a ceremony and reception and is a place I would absolutely recommend. We will forever remember the thoughtfulness and hard work Heather, Mary Jo, Olivia, and staff put into making our day perfect.

i have nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding. Everything was perfect! I am a little high strung, and the staff at Running Deere did not miss a beat. The Professionalism, Calmness, and punctuality, of every aspect of wedding was on target. The food was tasty,hot, served with a smile and plentiful. Something you don't find at most weddings. The staff was both efficient and pleasant. We were a very boisterous crowd and everyone was well attended to. Everyone was helpful to the very last hour, and when I returned the next morning to collect some things, I was greeted with smiling faces. From beginning to end everyone associated with Running Deere were lovely and a pleasure to work with, I have received numerous calls ,e mails, and texts saying how beautiful, and wonderful the wedding was. Heather and Olivia of Running Deer are two professionals who are great to work with. They were totally responsive, gave suggestions when asked, and were committed to provide the most excellent experience possible. We were amazed when we saw the reception room; it was stunning and far exceeded our expectations. The food was superb. Almost every guest commented that it was simply the best food they had ever had at a buffet. The facility was impeccable as was the service. Mary Jo, the Maitre D, ensured the bridal party kept to the timeline and made sure the Bride and Groom had absolutely everything they needed. Our guests were amazed and impressed with the chocolate indulgence room - such an array of chocolate. A great time was had by all.

Such a beautiful place. The whole area is wonderful for wedding photos and outdoor ceremonies. I had my dinner rehearsal and wedding here. The food was sooooooooooo delicious!!! My family and guests loved all the food and the Chocolate Room as well. I still am hearing rants and raves about how the food and the whole area is one of the best weddings they have ever experienced. The service during our reception and cocktail hour was fast and friendly. They are very caring and professional to providing your needs. I would also suggest asking for the list of the vendors they recommend. They have all done the venue and other areas as well so they know the ins and outs. I could not of asked for anything more on my wedding day.
