eremony had a light Catholic feel without being in church. Drafting your ceremony flow is easy with the form that Fr. Jim provides and you decide how much scripture to include, how much humor to include and whether it should be traditional, modern, or a blend of both. I knew the first time that I met Fr Jim, that he would marry us and you will too! He makes your ceremony fun, especially when your three year old nephew/ring bearer starts yelling "no, I don't want to" and Fr. Jim doesn't miss a beat and says "That's what Carmen (my now husband) was just telling me". Hilarious! You'll never regret having Fr. Jim officiate your ceremony!

forever! In a day where it is so tough to find a Catholic priest to be an officiant at an off-site venue (at a Golf Course), Fr. Jim did an amazing job and made us feel welcomed the entire time. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars to really show how happy he made us on the day of our wedding!

arriage to my Hindu husband. I won't go into the long story of it, but slowly I was feeling less and less welcome in the church and finding it to be a very difficult and unhappy experience. I came across St. Miriam's through this website and read into the Old Catholics. From the second I emailed Father Connors, I was met with kindness, compassion, and true acceptance. He was great through the entire process from helping me pick out ceremony parts, figuring out what traditions to merge, and meeting with us after mass one day just to chat and get to know each other before the wedding day. The day of, he gave a lovely ceremony that you honestly could not tell was not even "Catholic." It felt just like it would have in church except it was just the ceremony and could be done at the venue. It was a great blend of solemn with a few well deserved jokes that make the entire day great. Even though we had only met once and talked over email, Father Connors was genuinely happy to be presiding and added such a warmth and joy to the entire day. My very Catholic grandparents spoke to him afterwards and were beaming that "he really is a Catholic!" afterwards. So for those who are worried about Roman versus Old, don't worry. It really isn't different at all. What struck me about the entire experience was the kindness and compassion of the entire church. We both felt welcome the second we set foot in the building and interacted with Father Connors. The day was truly about celebrating our love and not about rules and paperwork. We smile very fondly thinking back on the entire day from start to finish, and Father Connors and St. Miriam's was a huge part of that.

like he knew us our entire lives. He made the rehearsal and the ceremony stress free, enlightening and helped us along when our nerves set in. He even cracked some light hearted jokes which everyone always enjoys. We received numerous compliments about his services and we could not be more happy. He even helped me tie my shoe when I was unable to do so. He is a MUST HAVE at your wedding.

h in Flourtown. We attended mass prior to the pre-Cana and the members of the parish were very welcoming. Our pre-Cana was authentic and meaningful. Monsignor Jim focused on advising us about what could make or break a marriage. The atmoshere was relaxed and humorous For our ceremony, Monsignor Jim gave us a list of passages from which to choose. Although we've previewed the passages, Msgr Jim's delivery at our wedding was amazing. He made everything he said truly meaningful and his message of staying in love resonated with us and our guests. ay was one we will never forget. I highly recommend him as an officiant, he was always very responsive and available to me whenever I had any questions or concerns. There wasn't a dry eye during the ceremony and we felt completely at peace. Thank you so much Father James for such a beautiful ceremony and a day that we will never forget!

Many people commented that there was a perfect amount of religion incorporated in our ceremony, without it being too lengthly. Everyone thought his personality was great too! Father Jim had an enormous repertoire of ceremony choices from which to pick from. There were so many prayers and sayings I loved that I had a hard time choosing one for each section. Father Jim was also always accessible via email and answered my questions very quickly. On the day of, he helped make the ceremony so memorable and special. I received so many compliments on what a beautiful and unique ceremony we had. I hope to have Father Jim perform other sacraments for us in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone!
