If you’re having a smaller (we had 60 people including us) wedding, I couldn’t recommend Shelburne Vineyard enough! We got married last weekend, and it was perfect. Beautiful building and grounds, extremely helpful staff… you won’t be disappointed if you have your wedding here. It was wonderful.
We loved working with Shelburne Vineyard. Our wedding was beautiful and several guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Thank you to Joe, Kate and Margaret, and the whole
Shelburne Vineyard team! One thing to note is that they only do events in the evening. But they worked with our wedding coordinator to get everything set up in time for our 6:45 wedding and we came to the vineyard early to take photos in the vines.
We were so excited to get married at Shelburne Vineyard. It started off well with the original event manager however unfortunately, when she left, we were not made aware of this.
There wasn’t a transitional email or phone call from anyone at the vineyard to let us know where to send questions or who our vendor's
new point of contact would be. We started to get nervous as our messages to Taylor (the old event planner) went unanswered. Eventually once we reached out to the main email
connected to the vineyard we heard from Sarah Travelpiece. Sarah did not introduce herself so we were not sure if she was an existing staff member or the new event coordinator. We did ask her who she was in a
follow-up email and she then informed us to contact her moving forward and that Taylor’s emails were often missed and sent to her junk mail. Additionally, a month prior to our wedding she sent us an email that was curt and very confusing about our duties as renters of the venue. This was after we had to put her and VT Tent Company on an email together because she hadn’t been responding to the agent who had called several times. We thought this might have been a hiccup in
the passing of responsibilities from Taylor to Sarah so we excused it. However, again FIVE DAYS before our wedding Pizzeria Verita and VT Tent Company separately reached out to us letting us know they had both called and emailed Sarah to no avail. We were told told us she had a family emergency which is why she had not been responsive. We thought that if
this was the case someone from the vineyard would have stepped in on her behalf given an upcoming wedding was a week or less away. This was extremely stressful. When we arrived at 5PM on the day of our wedding we were surprised that while we were going to pay an extra 1000 to rent the venue 30 minutes early (at 5 instead of 5:30) there were still patrons being serviced until 5:30p This was difficult as
both were drinking, not ready to leave, and we felt we were intruding on their evening while also knowing we needed to set up the centerpieces, dancefloor, rearrange tables, etcetera. The event coordinator was I helped up. She and the staff did very little to assist in the set-up process. While our wedding party set up the area the staff members were seen drinking wine behind the bar, texting on their phones, and talking amongst themselves and at no time did they ask if they could assist. At the end of the night our caterer gave the staff pizza to be stored for us and this was not given to us and we were not told about it until our vendors followed up with us when asking for feedback. We found all of this very unprofessional and the lack of support from the vineyard disheartening. We reached out to the owners several times and they also did not reply. This was all very upsetting. While the venue is beautiful I would not recommend this place due to the lack of management, organization and professionalism.
We had the most exceptional experience at Shelburne Vineyard for our small, intimate wedding. Reasonable price, beautiful backdrop, kind and helpful staff, and of course the wine is amazing. Taylor, the Event Coordinator, is phenomenal, and the entire ceremony and reception was seamless. I can't recommend this place and this team enough. Perfect venue.
SAM WAS AMAZING!
I was a stressed bride, and he made sure everything went off without a hitch. The venue was everything we dreamed of, and our guests still tell us how much they loved it. Perfect size, Perfect location, perfect people!
We absolutely loved our Shelburne Vineyard wedding! It's a gorgeous location, both inside and out, and so reasonable rent. The event coordinator Amy is great--she was really helpful in guiding us through everything and making sure nothing got overlooked. I highly recommend the Vineyard as a wedding location!
