I can’t even being to explain how happy I am with my experience at Sher’s...she is simply wonderful and so is her staff. She really listens to exactly what you want and will do anything to make your dress the dress of your dreams. Every bride is nervous and anxious leading up to the big day and every time I go there she just has a way that makes everything seem easier and she reassures you that everything is going to be ok! After several bridal appointments, I can honestly say this was at the bottom. The owner had the audacity to talk about my weight in front of people, and I was just shocked by her attitude. My mother wanted to see some of the dresses they had in stock, to better help because we werent having much luck., and they wouldnt let her look at the dresses, they said only they can pull dresses. To say we felt like children being scolded was putting it nicely.

Everyone at Sher's exceeded my expectations. I had shopped at 2 other bridal stores before finding my dress at Sher's. The women were so helpful in listening to exactly what I wanted helping to find the perfect fit. The price was right and got shipped to me within 4 months. Thank you ladies! Will recommend to all my friends getting married.

I truly wish I could give 1000 stars to Shers. They made my dress shopping and wedding experience one I will cherish forever. The staff were some of the most amazing and helpful women you could ever meet! The quality and prices couldn’t be more perfect for all styles and budgets and they worked incredibly to ensure it was everything I dreamed of. I had alterations done and not only did my dress fit like a glove, you could not even tell a single stitch had been touched - My dress was all lace with TONS of detail, so that says A LOT. We shopped at David’s Bridal, USA Bridal, Bridal Suites, and many more but none compared to Shers. All of the staff, even the owner herself Sher, went through every detail, leaving nothing out, and kept me updated the whole time. They offer some much needed advice for first timers and kept a smile on my face the whole way through. I couldn’t imagine have going anywhere else.. I not only suggest Shers for wedding dresses, but mother of the bride or groom, prom dresses, flower girl dresses, and bridesmaids as well. They will NOT disappoint. Sher is like your mother, wedding planner and friend all rolled into one! The staff is so friendly and encouraging without being pushy. They really want the best for each of their brides! I can’t recommend Sher’s enough. She makes you feel at home and has a lifetime of knowledge about weddings.

Found many dresses that could have been "the one" here, but it was such an easy decision to choose my "one" You have a whole room to yourself, unlike other shops that I went to. I would give Sher and her team (especially Joann) 10 stars if I could. I was a bride getting married in Lexington, KY and is from Orlando, FL. Between two states, many disappointing appointments, and over 40 dresses tried on later. My family and bridesmaids were worried if I was going to find a dress that I was going to be happy with. After several months of searching and looking on the internet, I found a Justin Alexander dress that I potentially wanted to try on. Since I wanted to say "yes" to the dress in my hometown of Louisville, I called around to see which boutique would have that particular dress before arriving home for the holidays (at that point, I've been to multiple boutiques in Louisville). None of the boutiques had the dress and some said they could get a loaner gown from JA but it would take several of weeks to get a hold of the dress I wanted to try on. I thought I was out of luck until I called Sher's bridal. They did not have the dress at their boutique, HOWEVER, Sher said she would buy the dress for their boutique for me to try on (With no obligation to buy, of course). And she also said that she'd make sure to have the dress for me to try on while I was home!! Their wonderful costumer service did not stop there. I explained to Joann (one of their consultants) that I was only going to be home for select dates during when their shop was going to be closed for the holidays. They opened up the shop just for me to have my mom, my bridesmaids, and myself try on the dress during a busy Christmas weekend. Furthermore, I visited Louisville several times for a fitting between then and my wedding, and Sher would always make sure that the alterations were being properly done by scheduling back to back appointments even when the salon was supposed to be closed. That was the only dress I tried on that day and needless to say it was the one. I would also like to point out that majority of the bridal salons that I've visited did not have a seamstress on site, and if you were to ask questions about alterations, they would say "you'd have to check with your seamstress," Not at Sher's though. Sher does her own alterations and would be able to consult brides on the spot if an alteration that they are looking for is a possibility. Not to mention, Sher has many years of industry experience and without a doubt, she knows what she's doing to make everyone's bridal gown experience a seamless one. Being new to the Louisville area I had multiple appointments scheduled with different bridal shops around Louisville. Sher's was my first appointment and three dresses in I found the one! They listened to me on what I was looking for and like magic they found the perfect dress!! Sher's has the most knowledgeable and kindest women in the business. I never felt so much at ease in their hands. Now after my first fitting and finding my accessories they have been absolutely outstanding timely, attentive and kind! What I also love about Sher's is that my dress never leaves their hands. All alterations are done in house and I know my dress is safe with them! Sher personally helped me pick the most perfect gown ever. As an older bride, I needed the perfect fit for my wedding with 3 weeks to plan. She made it easy and affordable with the most beautiful gown ever! I’m so glad I picked her instead of the other boutiques in Louisville. She is top notch with beautiful designs and 5 star service!!

My family and I were disappointed in this bridal store. Staff were not very enthusiastic about helping and would not let you look through dresses and pick them out for yourself. The dress selection felt more dated than other places we had looked. The interior of the house was very run down looking and not very pretty.

I can't say enough great things about the customer service and quality of gowns at Sher's! My daughter had the best experience ever when trying on wedding gowns for the first time. Libby was our consultant and immediately made us feel welcome, listened to what we were looking for, and presented beautiful gowns to try on within budget. The bridesmaids ordered their dresses from Sher's, and as mother of the bride, I'm looking for my dress there as well. I definitely recommend Sher's for anyone starting this exciting time! Sher's was the best experience I could've imagined when it comes to wedding dress shopping. While it is closed stock, they cater to what you tell them you like and don't like, and encourage pictures to help you find your dream dress. The process they have developed allows for a fun and stressful experience. The staff are amazing and make you feel super comfortable. Libby pulled a dress I never would've tried on at any other store based on what I told her I wanted, and it ended up being the dress I bought. I cannot recommend this shop more. They also offer a large selection of bridesmaids' dresses and mothers' dresses!

Brides, From the moment I set foot in the door of Sher’s Bridal and Formal Wear, I knew I was in good hands. The welcome I received made me feel like I was joining with a warm sisterhood that was there to help me with my wedding dress decisions. Sher, is as sweet as they come. When Sher realized my wedding theme vision, she took it upon herself to bring in her own personal vintage furs and vintage gloves for me to borrow (no strings attached) to help me achieve my 60’s inspired look. Heather, Sher’s lovely daughter, genuinely cared about the wedding day look I was going for and helped coordinate the components needed to pull it together. I found Joanne and Lauren to be stellar staff members who went above and beyond the call of duty. The support and warm environment these ladies created meant so much to me. Sher’s is a high caliber Bridal suite and in it I found a very caring, lovely group of Ladies. Going to Sher’s Bridal has been a five star experience.

Sher's is the best bridal and formal boutique by far! The staff is so knowledgable, friendly and helpful! They made finding the perfect dress easy and so much fun! The years of bridal experience that Sher and her amazing employees have is absolutely priceless. When you go (because you MUST go!), be sure to ask for Joann!

I bought my dress from Sher's boutique. Sher listened to me and my ideas for the perfect wedding gown. I had been to another local boutique and did not have a good experience. Sher took her time and was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Sher's Boutique to any bride.

I was referred to Sher by a friend of my mom! I had been to other shops and explained to them that I was on a budget and was treated very poorly and looked at like I did not belong in their store! I was very discouraged and it honestly ruined the "fun" of looking for a wedding dress... Until the day we went to Sher's bridal! I had the most sweetest sales associate, her name was Megan! She asked me if I had a budget and I told her what it was and my mom told her what had happened in the other store (The Bridal Suite of Louisville) and she said she was so sorry and said she would bring me dresses in my budget and that was exactly what she did. She did not tell me to go look around at all the dresses; instead she said she was going to make me feel like a princess and bring the ones I could afford to me... It wasn't right to send me in and find one over my budget and fall in love to be disappointed after... Which I loved this idea. More stores should do this. Anyway, I tried many dresses on and then finally.... I found THE DRESS! Sher was absolutely amazing. She is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met! She is so patient and hilarious! She truly is one of a kind! My mom and I both loved her! And she took a dress that was HUGE on me ( I'm tiny ) and made it fit me to a Tee. Joan also was super sweet! She was always the one I would talk to over the phone and first person I'd see when I would go in for a fitting! Everyone that works there is absolutely amazing! They know how to treat a bride and her family. We ended up ordering all bridesmaid dresses with Sher as well. I highly recommend anyone to go and buy their dress from Sher! I have already sent a friend there and she bought and had the same amazing experience that I had! I just love this place and the ladies! They also sell prom dresses and other types of dresses. They have beautiful EVERYTHING! :)

Sher's Bridal is the place I found the perfect dress for my wedding. After multiple visits to other bridal shops Sher's was the last one on my list and I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! My first appointment was easy going and not rushed. I had a wonderful and memorable experience at Sher's. From the time we walked in until the time we left we received AMAZING customer service. Sher was attentive, patient, knowledgeable and I can not forget funny!! She found me the perfect dress in no time! She listened to what I wanted and immediately went to work. After three weeks and several bridal shops I finally said "Yes to the Dress". I can't forget her amazing staff as well they were awesome and if I remember correctly Meghan was the other person working with me and she was Awesome too!! :) Anyone looking for wedding or formal wear this is the place!

Sher's was the first and only place I went wedding dress shopping! My experience was simply amazing. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me and took time to consult with me what I was looking for in a dress. They found the perfect dress for me! It was the first dress I tried on! It was my dream dress. They truly have an eye for the right dress for each bride. They were very professional and have excellent customer service. I highly recommend Sher's!

When I walked into Sher's I wasn't expecting to find my wedding dress there. It looked a bit outdated, but I decided to give it a try. We went through a few dresses that weren't quite what I was going for, but since no one else was in the store my consultant let me go through the stock room for myself and pick whatever I wanted. That's when I found a lovely Casablanca dress that ended up being my wedding dress. I hadn't actually planned on ordering my dress in Kentucky since I live in Colorado and it would have been a hassle, but we didn't want to take the chance so went ahead and ordered it at Sher's. When it came in several months later I had to come back to Kentucky to meet with our venue anyway, so the timing worked out. At the first fitting the dress fit perfectly and only needed to have the bustling added. Knowing we were not from Louisville the seamstress agreed to do all the bustling that same day. This was the icing on the cake for us and we were very grateful for her accommodations. I would recommend using Sher's and advise that you not judge a book by its cover like I did.

This is where I found THE dress for me!! It was my FIRST time trying on dresses & I had it down to 3. Really I wanted all 3 but I finally decided on the perfect one!!! I am veryyy picky so I was so shocked & excited to have options I loved!!! My dress was also on sale!! I got my dress & veil from here and they did all the alterations. Feels like home.. I love Sher, the girls, and their dresses!!!

In 2009 my daughter and I went to Sher's and picked out and bought a beautiful dress. Then my father passed away and she postponed the wedding. From 2009 to 2014 I lost my Father, my Mother, my Sister, my only Aunt and my only Uncle. Needless to say we have done a lot of crying. Last month my sisters grandson got married and we once again laughed. On Monday my daughter announced that she was going to get married on Oct 30. So we looked at Vendors and the dresses were just not...not that dress. Not that dress? Where is the dress? She thought I picked it up and I thought she picked it up. I called Sher's and because of the personal attention they gave us in 2009 she remembered us. By all intensive purposes the dress should have been gone. But for some reason she kept the dress! Last night my daughter was refitted in the dress and just looked absolutely beautiful. Sher gave her usual hands on and you would have thought we just bought the dress! The dress was in perfect shape. The perfect wedding dress for my little girl and what an awesome warming experience. Sher's is not just a place to buy a dress. But the wedding experience of every little girls dream!

I'll admit, I dreaded walking into Sher's after a very disappointing dress shopping experience at another shop in Louisville, KY. After that experience at the other business, I felt fat, not pretty enough and to old to be a bride (I was a "non-traditional bride being a little bit older). I went into Sher's a little down in the dumps. However, Joanne and Sher were able to completely erase that negative experience. The appointment was fun, the dresses to try on actually fit a "real" body and I was able to try on lots of different styles to see what worked best for my body. They pulled a lot of dresses to try on with different price points. The best part -- I fell in love with a dress that was cheaper than I had ever dreamt because it was being discontinued! I can't say enough about Sher's and her staff! My only little complaint is that they forgot to put a button on my bustle to hide the hook, but that was an easy fix for my bridal party.

Sher's is THE place to go, brides!!! Exquisite, one-of-a-kind dresses at unbeatable prices! And the staff? Sweetest ladies in the world, love them all! Seriously, don't shop anywhere else.

I absolutely loved the experience I had at Sher's. The appointments were flexible and you get a large room just for you and your guests to try on the dresses. The staff was absolutely great; they were attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and more than happy to answer any questions or concerns that my guests or I had. Libby was fantastic and she had Sher come and see me in a dress to ease my mind and answer questions I had about the way the dress fit. Sher is very thorough and knowledgeable and knows how to make sure a dress is made to fit the bride's body exactly as it should. The staff will sit down with you and ask about your wedding and really get a feel for what look/theme you are going for and pull the dresses accordingly. The process, however, is a little different as the dresses are kept in separate rooms and the staff pulls the dress for you based on the information provided to them about the wedding. So you and your guests do not get to go look around and pull dresses, although I am sure if asked they would allow it. This was not a problem for us, however, and did not take away from the experience. Do not pass this boutique up as you search for your dress!

I cannot even begin to thank Sher and her staff. My sister got her wedding dress there and it was my first stop and only stop. Even though I was that bride that tried on a million dresses they continued to help me to find the one. Sure enough I did. With many alterations, Sher made my dress into everything I dreamed of. Even though they were just fine details I couldn't believe the difference she made. The moment I stepped in my dress on my wedding day I felt amazing! She truly knows how to make the "ahhh" moment for you on your wedding day. I would wear my dress every day if I could and recommend her to everyone!

My mother ordered two bridesmaid dresses from Sher's for my sister and I. Sher's was dishonest and not up front about the total price for both dresses. The price on the tag of the dress that was tried on and ordered was different than the price they ended up charging my mother. They did not tell her this until after they had already charged her for one dress (when she thought she was purchasing two). When confronted, Sher's was extremely rude and dishonest - stating that the dress which was tried on and ordered had been discontinued (which was not the case whatsoever I learned directly from the manufacturer). After sending my measurements for my dress, Sher's wanted to put me in a size bigger than what coincided with my measurements on the manufacturer size chart. My mother, knowing better, requested a size smaller. Because she differed from their opinion, Sher's marked it as a "special order" (without telling her) when there was nothing "special" about it (no rush to process, ship, special sizing or color, etc.) After receiving and trying on my dress (which still ended up being too large as was confirmed by my seamstress), I called Sher's to see if there was time to exchange it for a size or two smaller (at the recommendation of my seamstress). They were extremely rude and derogatory to me on the phone, calling me "a little girl", referring to my seamstress as incompetent since she recommended a smaller size, asking me if I was wearing undergarments or not (saying they would stuff my bra to make it fit), saying there was nothing they could do because it was a "special order", and that the dress sizes only went down one more size when in fact it went down three more sizes (again I learned from the manufacturer). I finally spoke with the owner who told me to ship the dress back pinned and she would have her alterations person work on it. When I asked how much that would cost, she could not give me a concrete price. When I brought up the dishonesty about the total price of the dresses she then responded with the lie that the dress had been discontinued. I used my trusted local seamstress to perform the alterations as I did not feel I could trust or withstand any further nasty treatment from the employees of Sher's. I have never been treated so rudely by any store employee or company in all my life.

I was a clueless bride who was on the verge of buying the wrong dress because I was so confused and tired of looking. However, once I walked into Sher's they took me under their wing and found my perfect dress within minuites. It was the dress that inspired our wedding. I could never thank them enough for finding the perfect dress to marry the perfect man!!!

This bridal shop was great! If you make an appointment, then the staff are more than happy to assist you. I found my dress here, and once it was ordered, it stayed in house for alterations. In fact, I didn't pick it up until the Thursday before the wedding.

I loved going to Sher's! They obvioiusly love what they do and were very helpful. They were friendly, had many different options and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I was not looking foward to dress shopping, because for one I hate trying things on, and I don't like being somewhere, where there are a bunch of people staring. Sher's gave me my own room for me and my family and friends to have a private moment when I tried on dresses. It was what I needed to feel comfortable and they were extremely sweet and genuine.

Don't get nervous about the time it takes for alterations. She will have it all done on time, and pressed. Beuatiful and ready to go. Prices are not cheap, but for the quality and selection she is competitive. I love my dress, and she gave great advice on accessories and the rest of the wedding vendors as well.

I ended up at Sher's after a trip to Cincinnati's bridal district was cancelled due to snow. (I still call this fate.) JoAnn paired me with a gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown, which was a breath of fresh air after many bad experiences with David's Bridal. The dress came in precisely when I was told it would arrive. Sher worked tirelessly on my gown and made other adjustments that I know other alterations/bridal suites would NOT have taken the time to do. They made me feel very special and gave me the attention that I just don't think I could've gotten at a major retailer. The service alone was worth every penny that I paid for the dress. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Sher may have a different first impression... but she is one super talented and very busy lady! She was able to give me my dream dress and at a discounted price...she added and changed things and had some great ideas. I prob had 8 appts in the last 2 weeks to make sure the dress fit perfect... and all with Sher herself. Her dresses are of a much higher quality than other L'ville dress shops. Got accessories at other places due to better prices, but her dress was the best deal I found.
