My now husband and I originally had planned on booking a different caterer for our wedding June 3, 2023 at everly at railroad, but then we tasted Shore Side Catering’s food at our friend’s wedding and I’m not exaggerating when I say I couldn’t stop thinking about the food. So we ended up booking them for our wedding. Booking them was simple and straight forward, there were no hidden fees and you knew exactly what you were going to receive/pay by the style you picked. They were very reasonably priced compared to other caterers we looked at and the portion were huge. Amanda made the planning process less stressful by her quick responses to our emails and by giving us advice and suggestions on not only our food menu but also on wedding topics that really didn’t have to do with the catering. The food on our wedding day was out of this world. I would eat the butternut squash raviolis everyday for the rest of my life if I could. I got multiple text messages the next day from guests about how delicious the food was. I would give Shore Side Catering a million stars if I could and I will be recommending them to everyone I know because of how perfect and special they made our wedding experience.
We booked Shore Side for our wedding and were so upset to hear that our guests weren't served enough food. We went with a family style dinner and some guests didn't get nearly enough of the sides. Our guests asked for more and they were told there weren't any left.
Also, some tables waited a long time for their mains to be served, and had to fill up on sides where other tables had the opposite experience.
Additionally, it was hard getting in touch while planning the wedding . We had to wait weeks/ months for a response.
The food was great at the tasting but we were so sad to hear that our friends and family didn't get to enjoy the food.
I came across Shore Side as I was searching for a caterer for my micro-wedding at a private residence of only 30 people. I still wanted the feel of a wedding with hors d'oeuvres and servers and spreads but also simple and quick. We paid to have 2 servers but they were training someone so we lucked out and had 3! They exceeded our expectations. They were so eager to help and do as much as the possibly could. They cut our cake and served our guests so smoothly it was like they weren't there.
The food was great! We are still getting compliments! Especially on the crab cakes and beef tips! I would definitely recommend Shore Side for your next small or large event!
When our original venue cancelled and we were left scrambling to make other arrangements with such short notice, Shore Side Catering was able to accommodate us literally a week before our wedding date. While we were nervous and stressed about switching up our plans, Amanda from Shore Side Catering was so easy to work with and was able to provide exactly what we were looking for! Above all, the food was INCREDIBLE and even better than our original catering plans. The mini crab cakes and filet tips were our personal favorites- to this day my husband and I talk about how much we crave them! We were very pleased with the price too, especially after seeing the quality and quantity.
Shore Side Catering gave us the most amazing food that we wanted for our wedding. From the initial meeting we had to discuss our ideas and wants, Amanda from Shore Side Catering was receptive to our wishes. She was able to make suggestions to create an even better and more diverse menu that we had imagined. Every step of the way, she was flexible and adjusted the menu to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. She even had her chef husband create a pumpkin appetizer because I told her how much I loved pumpkin! It was a huge hit, as was everything else during cocktail hour. We did a buffet style meal for our reception of eggplant rollatini, filet tips and chicken Italiano with sides of roasted corn risotto and asparagus. They were all huge hits and guests were raving about all the choices. As a vegetarian, I was so excited for the eggplant rollatini, as it was the best I have ever had! My husband even liked the eggplant even though he is not usually a big fan of it! The great side options provided even more vegetarian options, which does not normally happen at a wedding! Amanda made sure to help us add the special touches we wanted when we displayed our food. We asked for the fruit to be displayed in coconut shells, and she made it happen! We wanted a late night snack of fries, and she figured out how we could do that with five great topping choices! She went out of her way to make sure we not only got the best food, but the best presentation of that food to add to a great wedding atmosphere. Her staff was efficient and worked to make a smooth and effortless flow of food for our guests. I would highly recommend Shore Side Catering for any of your food catering needs!
I cannot say enough good things about Amanda and Shore Side Catering. Our September wedding at Cold Spring Village was catered by Shore Side Catering, who now run The Grange. From the beginning, Amanda made planning our menu easy and fun with her professionalism, great attitude, and responsiveness. I went into the process with very little idea of what I wanted, other than "kind of picnic-y but still special" and "not wedding food". Looking back, I realize that's not a whole lot to go on and probably would have thrown some people, but Amanda immediately got it. We ended up with this gorgeous spread of bourbon shrimp, grilled oysters, jerk chicken, and asparagus straight off the grill for cocktail. It looked and smelled amazing and was an experience. Dinner of bruschetta chicken, cedar plank salmon, and brisket absolutely exceeded expectations as well. Everything was hot and fresh. The s'mores bar was whimsical and delightful, everything I had imagined. Guests loved it. A month later, everyone is still talking about how good the food was and a some guests have made the 90 minute drive down to Cape May just to eat at The Grange.
Few things are more important in the stressful last days of wedding planning that having great communication and Amanda makes that a priority. Everyone wants great food that people will love at their wedding. Shore Side Catering delivers that and more!
I'm a former bride to be and use this site as a reference for local businesses. I'm confused! Why isn't this business rated any higher? I was referred to Shoreside Catering by Cindy at "A piece of cake" as I was unfamiliar with the area and needed a place near Wildwood to cater a few dishes for my husband's birthday party. The food was delicious and personally delivered by the chef himself. Amanda was patient and worked with my limited budget. I am very thankful!
