We used ShutterBooth Chicago for our wedding, and Kelly and the SBC team were absolutely amazing!!
Here are a few things that made them stand out:
- Flexibility and options: There were lots of ways to customize the perfect package for my husb...and and me. For example, there were several options for picture layout (strips vs. 4x6), backdrop design, props, logos...so much more than we could have imagined. We really appreciated the flexibility and choice!
- Professionalism: Communication was always very clear and prompt/timely. Organization/planning beforehand AND execution on the big day were perfect! We also appreciated that they double, if not triple checked, our request forms to make sure everything was to our specifications. Kelly was our go-to, so it was very helpful to have a solid, reliable point of contact for any needs.
- Awesome props: We consider ourselves very picky about our photo booth props, and SBC nailed it!! We loved the different hats and the hook hand. In the end, we didn't have time to make custom props, but SBC was also very flexible about us bringing in our own props if we wished.
- Custom logo: Andrea, the designer, created a custom logo for us that we loved! It was truly awesome to have the ability to personalize our own, unique photo booth logo.
- Help and support at the event: After our wedding, several guests came up to us and complimented how "the ladies running the photo booth" (Kelly and Maria) were very nice, and very helpful. We really appreciate that they went above and beyond to make our guests feel so welcomed and have a good time!
- Options for extra picture strips: This feature turned out to be key, so that each guest could take home a memento instead of one person getting it if there were, say, 4 different people in the picture. It goes without saying that we and our guests appreciated it, so no one had to "fight" over who got to keep the picture, or had to choose whether to keep it or put it in the guestbook.
- The guestbook/scrapbook: WOW. Just. WOW. We were so impressed by how it was put together by our guests -- under the guidance of Kelly and Maria -- and it was awesome that we could customize the colors of the paper AND even the pen color for our guests to sign!
- Details: SBC just really nailed the details, from the color pens we wanted for people to sign the guest book, to which entrusted person we wanted the guestbook handed to after the event was done. This level of detail was SO thoughtful, and organized so well in advance that my husband and I didn't have to worry about it at all on our big day!
Pricewise, after looking at 2-3 other photo booth companies, we found ShutterBooth to be very reasonably priced relative to its competitors. However, what really stood out to me was the value. Sure, a photo booth is an investment, but we felt like we really got our money's worth with the excellent customer service and autonomy.
Overall, we received a lot of high praise from our guests about the photo booth - people loved the photo printouts and had a ton of fun. Our loved ones are still raving about it 1+ months out! My husband and I absolutely love the scrapbook they created for us - it's one of my favorite physical tokens from our wedding.
