Simplicity Boutique

My experience at Simplicity was amazing! I have never enjoyed dress shopping due to past experiences at other shops, but Alissa went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and beautiful! I found my wedding dress after trying on only 5 dresses and it is STUNNING! For all dresses that I was considering, they helped me envision what it would look like on my wedding day by giving me different veils to look at and try on as well. Everyone at Simplicity was so kind and helpful! I cannot recommend this boutique enough!!

Simplicity was recommended to me from my sister. I scheduled my first appointment and found my dress within the first few dresses I tried on. I did not have a "vision" but they made sure I tried a little of everything on to be sure the dress I kept going back to was the one. Due to COVID, shipping took longer than expected but they checked in with me and answered all of my questions whenever I was concerned. When it came time for fittings, it went seamlessly! I ended up having one more fitting than originally scheduled because they wanted to make a few tweaks to make it perfect. All in all, I was thrilled with their attention to detail, scheduling ease, and the boutique is gorgeous, clean, and makes it a personal experience. It does not feel like a salon where brides are in and out and worried about numbers - they truly take the time to work with each and every one!

I felt and actually looked stunning on my wedding day!!! Thanks to my Pronovias gown from Simplicity Bridal!! I visited Simplicity’s beautiful shop and met Christine and her team almost a year ago. I loved the location and feel of Simplicity right away. I had a feel for what style dress I wanted and provided a loose budget. The sales team was able to make me feel at home and pulled the exact dress I was looking for on my first visit. They never rushed me while I tried on and they never made me search myself. They were very hands on! They took a million photos and videos of me. They openly talked to me about the covid related lead times and gave me my options for ordering. I didn’t hesitate I knew my Pronovias gown was the one I didn’t have to look further. Over the months they were happy to take my email inquiries and keep me informed of the tracking of the dress from Spain. It arrived when they said it would and I even purchased a veil from Simplicity which was also so beautiful. When the dress arrived I was easily able to schedule multiple fittings with the seamstress, Petra, at the shop and she made the fitting/bustle process so easy. I can’t say enough about the experience at Simplicity. Dress shopping can be stressful and larger shops can make it feel overwhelming or leave your questioning. I highly recommend the smaller more personal feel of working with Simplicity.

Chris went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the gown I’d be wearing on my wedding day. From her immediately accommodating my schedule and availability to her suggestions and help while shopping around (without being pushy or inauthentic), she made the shopping experience a complete joy. I only wish I had enough time to order one of her own designs to wear. Chris makes the most beautiful gowns and sells them for more than reasonable prices. I hope everyone gets a chance to visit this shop and see all the gowns!

Simplicity was the first boutique i went to and i didn’t need to go anywhere else! I got my dress at my first appointment. My dress was the second i tried on but Alyssa still had me try on all different dresses to make sure i knew my dress was the one. I was so nervous going in and I cannot say enough how amazing Alyssa made me feel. She made the entire process fun and enjoyable. The seamstress came out and showed me exactly which alterations i would need and i felt so happy and comfortable with the entire process. 10/10 would recommend Simplicity!

I'd give Chris and her team 10 stars if I could. Simplicity was my 7th boutique and as I was nearing that moment that felt like I would never find the right dress, Alyssa came over with a "let's at least try it on" dress and BOOM that was it! It was a perfect moment that I will treasure forever. Not to mention, it was one of Chris' own designs! Every time I went back for a fitting I felt like I was with family. Chris even got my mother, who hasn't been in a dress in probably 20 years, into the most beautiful gown for my big day. THANK YOU!!!

The most helpful staff! They make you feel so special. I wasn’t totally sure about the dress and I had more shops to go to that day they told me I could always come back. They kept the shop open after hours so I could come back to get my dream dress. Such an amazing experience with a one of a kind dress as the end result! SO at this point I have also had my dress altered and they were so helpful. I lost a bit of weight between my second to last fitting an my final fitting and they helped with the alterations without hesitation. They were such a pleasure to work with. They really make you feel like the dress was made just for yo.

I recently went to Simplicity to find a gown for my wedding in October of 2021. Being the first time I tried on dresses, I didn't know what to expect and I was anxious. When I walked in, I was greeted by Alissa and I was immediately less nervous because she was so welcoming, patient and excited to help me find my dress! After four dresses, I was really confident I found what I wanted and Alissa pulled one more that she really thought would work for me, my body type and my venue. My goodness was she right! The second I put the one that she pulled on, I knew it was 100% my dress. I highly recommend Simplicity and working with Alissa if you are looking for a friendly experience and a well maintained shop!

let me start off by saying that my dress was absolutely gorgeous and I received so many compliments on it. it was 100% the dress of my dreams and it was perfect. that is the main reason there's 3 stars here. now the bad: my dress was purchased off the rack, and my main hesitation in purchasing came from the fact that it was tight. at first, I was told if I lost 10-15 pounds that it would be fine. my mom and I were both thinking that we loved the dress, but that may be too much. at this point, we were reassured by the staff that if I maintained or lost a little weight, there would be plenty of fabric to let it out. when I went back to try veils on with it, it did not fit at all (after a few quarantine pounds). I was told to start drastic weight loss measures (completely cut out carbs and sugars, run long distances) because there was no way the dress was going to fit after letting it out. I left this store in tears. needless to say, I got a second opinion from a seamstress elsewhere and she had absolutely no problem making my dress fit. I understand if you need to make a sale, but making a bride feel uncomfortable about her weight, when she is a size 8/10 street clothes mind you, is just wrong. this place made me feel terrible about myself, and I would suggest that, unless you are a smaller size, you might want to find a more accommodating dress shop.

absolutely love Chris and her entire team. she got all of the girls in their fitted dressed, including me, before the wedding DURING a pandemic. they worked with multiple bridesmaids on last minute alterations. I also feel like I got a great deal on my gown!

My first stop to look for wedding dresses was Simplicity Boutique and I'm pleased to say I never had to look elsewhere. Chris was amazing in working with me to find the perfect dress. It was nothing like I thought I would purchase, but after trying on a few styles I originally thought I'd like (but did not), she took the lead and pulled a few others after listening to my style preferences. After only trying on a few more, I found it. Ok, Chris found it. Over the next couple months, Chris and Petra both collaborated on a custom piece that compliments the dress, adds to the classic style and looks so amazing and unique. I'm thrilled with the whole look and especially with the experience I've had at Simplicity Boutique. Would highly recommend them to any bride for a special experience!

I had an absolutely amazing time trying on dresses here. I had Alissa helping me try on bridal dresses and we LOVED her. Petra, the seamstress, was there popping in and out helping us with all of our questions about adjustments. Alissa found the most beautiful dress that looked amazing on me and they had everything I could have asked for in dress selection. She answered my million questions, let me see the dress in all different lights, and made me feel so comfortable the entire time like she was a close friend helping me try on clothes, not a sales person trying to sell me a dress. We went back and my mother got a beautiful MOB dress there. We will be going back with my bridesmaids, future MIL, and GrandMIL for dresses. The owner, Christine, was very helpful and gave me lots of advice on where to get a bigger variety of plus size dress for some people if they don’t find a dress they like at Simplicity. On top of their awesome customer service, they were very clean and careful about COVID precautions. I was given white disposable gloves while trying on dresses, everyone properly wore their masks, and the store itself was very clean. I loved my experience with Simplicity!

I would highly recommend Simplicity Boutique to all future brides! Chris, the owner, was so amazing when I called looking for the Sophia Tolli dress of my dreams that I had found on the internet. No shops within an hour of me even carried that designer. She arranged to have that style in her shop within a few days for me to try on. I fell in love with it the second I put it on. And Petra did a phenomenal job on the alterations; she put me at ease through my fittings and my dress fit like a glove. The hour plus drive was totally worth it! Definitely check them out!

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! There was no need to shop around because in less than 1.5 hrs I found the dress of my dreams! Chris asked a few quick questions about what I was looking for and then zipped around her shop gathering a group of dresses. I began trying them on and getting feedback from my girls who came with me to help me find the perfect dress. Based on what she was hearing, Chris showed me some options that would be very fitting for me. The dresses she picked for me I would never even think about trying on because of how it looked "on the rack", after trying each one on it really opened my eyes. One of those suggested dresses was the ONE. I knew as soon as I put it on. My best advice is to take all her options into consideration because she is an expert at her craft in making you look and feel absolutely beautiful. After finding the dress, Chris made the fitting process 100% stress free. Petra, the seamstress, does amazing work, with each fitting she carefully alter my dress making sure it would be the best fit. As I returned for subsequent fittings, she could just look at me and see that My measurements had changed! My dress fit like a glove for my big day. This was an all around great experience! Well worth traveling the distance from Maryland to New Jersey! The shop is so charming and comfortable and relaxed. I could not have been more pleased. Chris and her staff were amazing. Even taking our call while I was getting dressed to answer questions about the dress! Simply top notch!

Simplicity Boutique was the first salon I visited and should have been the last! I went to a few boutiques after visiting Simplicity but knew in my heart I wanted to purchase the first dress I tried on here. Alissa was great to work with! I bought my wedding dress yesterday! I was so nervous I would never make a decision but Chris put my mind at ease! she was absolutely amazing and listened to my wants and dislikes. she knew my style and helped me find the PERFECT dress!!!!

The store owner, Chris, made it very easy to find the wedding dress of my dreams! This was only the 2nd store I went to and I purchased my dress here! The pictures I brought in were nothing close to what I purchased. Chris showed me styles that were flattering to my body type and I fell in love with a dress that day! Her prices are very reasonable as well which is always a plus! I highly recommend her store!

Simplicity was the second store I shopped at and we immediately knew we found the perfect dress! The sales consultant was wonderful to help me figure out what kind of dress I actually liked - whereas the first store only seemed to show me dresses similar to the first one I tried and liked. She had me try on beaded mermaids and satin ballgowns to help me narrow down before settling on a gorgeous fit and flare! I even really appreciated that they had us wear gloves while trying on the dresses so they stayed in pristine condition. Alterations were also super easy going through the store and Pedra was wonderful! She even helped me pick my jewelry and referred me to a local seamstress who made my veil and hair piece. If you want a wonderful bridal shopping experience, go to Simplicity!

There are not enough positive things I can say about Simplicity! Christine and her staff were amazing and I am so happy I went with them for my dress and alterations!

This was the first and only dress shop I went to when looking for a wedding dress. I went with maybe the 5th dress I tried on. Kris was extremely helpful! She didn’t pay much attention to what my family was saying or suggesting and offered me her HONEST opinion of how each dress looked on me and looked through the store for dresses she thought would suit my figure and my taste. I absolutely love the dress that I ended up buying and got a ton of compliments on it. I lost some weight before my final fitting and the seamstress (her name escapes me) made the dress look beautiful on me.

I came a little early for my appointment and was stopped by the woman that worked there telling me that I would be pushed back 20min after my appointment bc of the appointment before me came late. No apology for the inconvenience and could care less basically. Very unprofessional. So I walked out.

I had the best experience at Simplicity Boutique. I searched high and low for my dress – even trying on my eventual dress at multiple different stores before deciding to purchase at Simplicity. Chris and Petra are absolute professionals who made sure that my dress was perfectly fit and that I was looking and feeling my best on my wedding day. I can't recommend them enough!

I am not one to really write reviews like this but this terrible experience has really bothered me since I went to this place so I thought I should warn others. This was the second salon I went to for my wedding dress and it was overall a very uncomfortable experience. I walked in not really knowing what I wanted with just a few pictures in hand. I showed pictures to the consultant and to the first or second picture I showed her she said, "You really like that"- questioning my preferences. She also said, 'They don't make dresses like that anymore' (this was a picture of a satin style dress- which I have seen pictures of in many of the newest bridal magazines recently so not sure what she was talking about). I also ended up purchasing a satin dress not from here obviously. Basically the entire time I did not feel welcome or listened to at all. I was really hoping that this salon would offer a better experience especially because of all of the positive reviews on the knot and wedding wire. The atmosphere was very stuffy. The consultant did not show me any dresses that I described or showed her pictures of- nothing was what I asked for. I felt like the consultant was putting me in dresses she wanted to wear herself rather than my personal style. I also had to wear gloves to "protect the sample dresses" something that seems quite extreme - like I would rather wash my hands and what about the makeup on my face do you really think white gloves are going to "protect your dresses?" I really would not recommend this place- it is just not a welcoming atmosphere. My family with me felt the same as well about this experience and we could not get out of this place quicker- I should have left before I tried on any dresses!

By far the best bridal boutique in the area. Kris was so helpful and kind to me, never pushy like other shops. You can tell that she loves her job and wants the best for all of her brides. I can’t say enough about the seamstress, Petra. She is incredibly gifted and did amazing, detailed work on my dress. I’m very tiny and she fitted my long sleeve lace gown to me perfectly! Not one mistake. Simplicity Boutique made my wedding dress dreams come true!

My mom and I are so glad that we found my gown at Simplicity Boutique! Chris and Petra were so friendly, patient, and helpful. I live several states away so scheduling my three fittings should’ve been a bit challenging, but because of their flexibility it was no problem. I’d highly recommend Simplicity Boutique to all of my engaged friends!

Such a beautiful, quaint salon with an amazing staff. Every time I walked in, I felt like they knew me. I also got my dress altered there and it was absolutely stunning, and done at a great price!

I had been to probably over 10 bridal salons before I stumbled across Simplicity Boutique. My mom and I went on a whim, and it turned out to be an amazing decision. The salon is beautiful and peaceful. Christine and her staff are great, patient, professional, and really know their stuff. She listened to what I was saying and helped me pick out the perfect dress. My mom got her dress for my wedding there, and a few of my engaged friends also had great experiences buying their dresses from Simplicity Boutique! I highly recommend them to brides in the market for a great dress shopping experience.

Simplicity Boutique is wonderful- Chris knew exactly what dress to put me in, and I walked out of that dressing room crying it was so beautiful. She is an expert! Petra worked with me extensively to get every last little detail right and I cannot be more appreciative of all the time spent to make my dress perfect.

I love Simplicity Boutique! The best part for me was that Chris wouldn't show me dresses outside of my price range! So many places will bring you dresses outside of your range hoping you will fall in love. She asked me first, and then found me the perfect dress after I had a meltdown in her store thinking I would never find the perfect gown. She knew exactly what I was looking for when I didn't. Petra did the alterations there and she is AMAZING. She does the best work. She had to take my dress in and out multiple times and it ended up fitting perfect. I highly recommend them for your wedding gown!

Amazing experience working with Chris and Petra on my wedding dress. Everything was seamless from trying on dresses, ordering my dress, and having it altered. It was an incredible experience. I had tried on 6 of the dresses on my list at a trunk show for my wedding in January 2017, and liked some, but wasn't in love with any of them. Chris pulled a different kind of dress than I had been picking, and I tried it on and was in love! They all know exactly what they are doing in finding an amazing wedding dress, fit just for you!

My dress fit me to a T! It was an absolutely amazing experience! From the minute J tried on that first gown(witch wound up being "the dress") to my very last alteration! These women are incredible and so good at what they do and cater to your every expectation!!

I went to Simplicity Boutique with the idea that I wasn't going to find my wedding gown as I had gone to several other locations prior. Sure enough, I found the one!!! It was absolutely stunning. What a wonderful experience that I got to share with my mom and maid of honor. Such an inviting place with amazing staff! This boutique is highly recommended in my book!

I saw my dress in the window of Simplicity Boutique, long before I was engaged. I became obsessed with it and would walk by several times a week just to see it. One day it was gone, and I kind of forgot about it. But I still enjoyed looking at their window. After I got engaged I went back to the shop. I told the owner, Chris, about the dress I had seen months before. Magically, she pulled it from the back, and it was my size! I went back a few weeks later to try it on, along with several others. Had I not already fallen for this dress, I believe I still would have found another perfect dress there. Chris understood me right away. She and her seamstress, Petra, made me feel comfortable and worked with my requests for what I wanted. It is a very unique and gorgeous dress (Poppy by Sophia Tolli) and people are still raving about it. Chris and Petra helped me fine tune the look, and shared my excitement for the dress and my wedding day. It was a perfectly stress-free experience. The alterations were scheduled professionally, very affordable, and completed in enough time to send my dress off ahead of me for our destination wedding. I went to the salon looking for my wedding dress. Like all brides, I had many pictures saved of the exact dresses I would like to try on. Chris, the owner, had all of the dresses I wanted to try. She also pulled a few dresses that were similar to the style I liked. I fell in love with one she had pulled. The dress was absolutely perfect, everything I was looking for, and I did;t even want to take it off. To make this an eve better situation, Chris had designed this dress herself. Not only would I be the only bride in Maine (where I live) to have this dress, but it was also half the price of the other designer dresses. I bought the dress! I returned two times before my wedding day to have fittings. As I said before, I live in Maine. They were amazing with working with my schedule. Even having to take a final inch in after I showed up for my last fitting having lost another few pounds. This meant all of the beading and lace had to be altered as well. They had this alteration done in 3 days in order for me to take it back to Maine with me! After I bought my dress here, one of my best friends and bridesmaids also found her dress at the boutique. I strongly recommend checking out this shop for all of your dress needs!

I have only the most positive of praise for Simplicity Boutique. I was interested in a tea-length gown, but had been unable to find a selection at any other stores in the area. Christine (boutique owner) was the first person to creatively suggest that we could alter a full-length gown to fit my needs. And sure enough, we went with the 3rd gown I tried on there, and Christine & Petra (seamstress) were able to transform it into a perfectly fitted, tea-length wedding dress. Each time we visited the boutique (3 trips in total, including for the dress purchase), we were the sole appointment and received tons of attention and help. Christine was also able to recommend jewelry for my gown that fit it to a T. I have since recommended Simplicity Boutique to friends looking for a personalized experience in a calm (and adorable) environment. Top notch!

After looking online at photos of wedding gowns I found a designer that I absolutely fell in love with Sophia Toli, and was excited when I found that Simplicity Boutique carried her gowns. From the moment I contacted Christine to schedule an appointment I knew that I had made the right choose in going to Simplicity to look for my dream gown. At my first visit, I fell in love with the shop – it is very classy and personable. With my mother and Matron of Honor with me, I showed Christine a few pictures of dresses that I liked from Sophia’s site and was shocked when she walked me over to a rack that had 2 of the dresses. Christine was lovely and made the experience so relaxed and enjoyable. While trying on the gowns, she took the time to show how the gown would look with various veils and from various angles and made sure to tell you that you would know when you have found the “ONE”. And she was absolutely right! After only trying on 5 dresses I fell in love with “Marlee” by Sophia Toli. It was just perfect and made me feel “Beautiful”. To me it had the perfect detailing and beading and also reminded me as soon as I put it on of my grandmother – simple yet elegant! You couldn't ask for a better experience anywhere when shopping for a wedding gown. They truly care about their customers being 100% satisfied. Christine is very helpful and Petra her seamstress is wonderful and has the patience of a saint. Christine and Petra, I can't thank you enough for this amazing dress. My family and friends are still commenting on my perfect gown, and I am still very much in love with it! After looking online at photos of wedding dresses I found one dress that I could not stop thinking about. I searched high and low for a boutique in the area that sold Sophia Toli. In South Jersey there are only 2 places. The first place I went to told me they would bring the dress in for $200 for me to try on. I was not going to do that. Then I called Simplicity Boutique. Chris the onwer was so helpful. She called so many different places for me just to find a sample of this dress. The dress ended up being a 2012 style so not many people had it anymore. I went to the shop to try on some more Sophia Tolli dresses when they had their trunk show, but sadly I did not like any of them because I had my heart set on the other one. Chris put the order in for the dress before they discontinued it. She was very nervous that I was buying it sight unseen. When the dress came in and I tried it on, it was everything I ever wanted. It was perfect. Chris was so amazing going above and beyond for me! Also Petra who works there, best seamstress you will ever find!!

Simplicity Bridal Boutique was the third store that that I went to to look for my wedding dress. I had two other dresses at another store that I really liked but was waiting to go out with my entire "entourage" to pick one. I decided to go to one more store and if not, I was going back to another store. The store is beautiful and the owner Chris had a great eye. I told her the style I was looking for (I honestly don't remember if she asked me what my budget was) but it only took four dresses before I found "the one". I think Chris may have been overwhelmed by the number of people I brought with me (9) because she was a little impersonal at first but was extremely nice and helpful in all of my subsequent visits to the store. I highly recommended going to Simplicity for a wedding dress (or even a mothers dress as well. My mom also got her dress here). The store is lovely, parking is easy (right in front of the store), the selection is beautiful and the staff are extremely knowledgable.

Wonderful full service bridal store. Chris, the owner, is great at helping to make sure you are happy with the dress you choose and carries gorgeous designers. Petra is the in house seamstress who can work wonders and had the patience of a saint. Her prices are amazing and her work is so perfect that you would think that the dress was custom made by her just for you. I would give 10 stars if possible.
