During my wedding planning process, I read so many reviews and opinions on if hiring a videographer for your wedding is “worth it” and it is!! Something New Media did such an amazing job from start to finish! I absolutely LOVE pictures, videos and anything that will help me relive the big moments in my life. I came across Something New Media on Instagram and I knew I needed to hire them after my first interaction. I reached out to find out if they were available on my wedding date and then they sent me some sample work. I am not lying when I say this was the first and ONLY wedding video that I watched in its entirety. I didn’t even know these people and I was getting so emotional. I felt like I did know the couple, their love story and that I was at their wedding. It was incredible, and, in that moment, I reached back to find out the steps to reserve them. They were great with communication during the entire process, they made changes to arrival times to ensure I got everything I paid for, they were so personable the days of. Ovi and Tyler captured so many amazing moments and they were so fun. They did not interfere with any of our moments and just made sure to capture all the small details…. Then we received our videos. HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!! Our videos are INCREDIBLE! As the bride I will tell you there are so many moments from the day that I did not get to see or just simply was too overwhelmed to soak in. The entire ceremony video allowed me to see my husband walking his grandma and my mom down the aisle. It allowed me to see my bridal party dancing the aisle and it allowed me to relive the moments in our vows when we both had the most genuine and excited expressions. And then there is the highlight film, I want to literally put this video on repeat and watch it nonstop for the rest of my life. If you have the chance to hire Something New Media, again do not hesitate. You will not regret it.

The team at Something New Media are nothing but amazing! I had a friend use them for their wedding a couple of years ago and I fell in love with their wedding video so I knew I needed to hire them. I had James as my videographer for my wedding and I can't wait to see the final video. I thought it was going to be weird at first having someone follow us around with a video camera but it ended up being the complete opposite. James was super nice and he made us feel comfortable the entire time. 10/10 recommend Something New Media for your videographer!

On the wedding day, the videographers kind of blend in to the surroundings to capture their footage naturally so most of the time you don’t really know they’re there. It seemed like they kind of worked hand in hand with my photographer and planner. They asked questions prior to my wedding day to best capture my style and the vibe I was looking for in my video (romantic/fun/etc). We are so happy with how our video turned out! I’m so thankful that I have it to relive the most amazing day.

Loved working with Something New Media! Originally we booked prior to COVID for our 2020 wedding and they were so wonderful and understanding when we needed to postpone and reschedule to 2021. Our videographer Dakota worked in unison with our photographer and was very easy to work with and gave us great direction. Our films were delivered to us so fast and we love them! The whole proceeds working with Something New Media was really easy and the final product was better than I could have imagined! I provided video examples that I liked before our wedding and the videographers and editors did a great job of incorporating audio from our vows, from letters to each other, as well as other toasts from our wedding night into the final product with great music. To start, my wedding was last year Fall 2019 when Sabrina was still the owner. Midway through the year they got bought out by new ownership and it was all downhill. Not only did the new owners try to suck more money out of me for “fixing” things I originally asked for in my original paid contract, I had to edit my own highlight film montage, it’s been over a year and I finally now received my film after I had to send an email reminder that I haven’t received it yet, it didn’t come in a nice wooden box that was originally stated in the contract, and they gave me a hard time about replacing my 2 DVD’s because they don’t make them and all I asked was to replace the DVD’s with USB’s. All things that could have been avoided if the attention to detail was there. I do not like the way the new owners have been handeling their current clients they bought themselves into, and I will not recommend them moving forward.

I hope everyone that reads this review will look no further for a wedding videographer and select Something New Media for their big day. The team did an AMAZING job! On the day of the wedding we barely knew the team was there, even during the private couple moments, and were incredibly professional from start to finish. Sabrina & her editing team were also incredible to work with, making sure we were 100% happy with our wedding film. We cannot thank Something New Media enough.

We reached out to Something New Media to create a wedding video about 2 and a half years after we got married because our original videographers never created our wedding video. Sabrina with SNM was so helpful in giving us exactly what we wanted. Even though SNM wasn’t there the day we got married, they truly captured our incredible day perfectly and we are so grateful.

This is the GO-TO company for your wedding video. I swear they can make anything. I was really picky about my video and their team was able to create exactly what I wanted. These guys also totally rock because my maid of honor got married the month before me and her videographer cancelled the week of her wedding, I gave her Sabrina's number at Something New and they were able to save my MOH's entire day! I debated for a long time whether or not we wanted to invest in videography on our wedding day, and I am SO glad we did. I stumbled upon Something New on The Knot and was really impressed with their quality of work, especially at the affordable cost. Sabrina was so thoughtful with her communication and made sure the process ran smoothly. I was really impressed with her level of detail – she really wanted to know us as a couple and understand exactly what we were looking to capture on our wedding day. The day of the wedding, our videographer showed up early and easily inserted himself into the "madness". With only being one shooter, he did an excellent job of capturing multiple parts of our day. I never felt that he was even slightly "in the way" or causing a disruption, which was one of my initial concerns. We just had our wedding last weekend, and Something New Media was amazing to work with. Sabrina and her team had excellent communication and worked very well with all of the people in the wedding as well as our photographer. We just received our sneak peek 1 minute film and it was perfect. We cannot wait to see the full edit!! The pricing was excellent compared to others for Something New and I also love that they provide all the raw footage. The special edits they do are also reasonably priced if you want to add on some fun stuff! We are really happy we chose Something New and can't wait to see our final video!

This is a truly professional company to work with. We struggled with the first video - it just wasn't what we were hoping for - they worked and worked until they made it perfect. If I could give any advice, it would be to be sure, as a couple, to write down any items specific to YOUR special day to be sure they cover it. They did an overall good job getting most everything, but we had an American flag that belonged to the grooms deceased grandfather and we didn't tell them to be sure to get video of it to put in the video. It was not the end of the world, but would have been lovely. Totally our fault for not pointing it out to them.

Devin was fantastic to work with. Exactly the type of guy you want leading your wedding. From the first time we met him, you could tell he had a bravado about him that made him a natural leader for the ceremony. His work was fantastic, he kept everyone on track throughout the wedding, and he generally made the day much easier for the two of us. On top of all that, he was very affordable in comparison to other photographers we looked at. I cannot recommend him enough. He and his team did fantastic work.

I was a little nervous that you do not meet the videographer until the day of but trust the process. Our videographer was Saiaf and he was also wonderful! He made me and my husband feel so comfortable. Saiaf really made our day special and put me at ease. I cannot wait to see the final product. Something New Media made my videography experience so easy to go through! I first reached out through the knot and spoke with Vivienne. She met us a few weeks later at a coffee shop near us and explained the packages and features of each in detail. She listened to what we wanted and set us up with the perfect package. Closer to the wedding, I filled out a questionnaire of what music I would like, what theme, important shots, etc. When the videographer arrived on the day of the wedding, I didn’t even realize he was there! He stayed in the background capturing all the important moments. Him being a “fly on the wall” made sure that everything he captured were real and raw moments, not fake or posed. I just received my video and am so happy with it! Even the revision process was easy and all done through email. They were prompt in their responses and for that I am so grateful. I cannot say enough about Something New Media. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know that is getting married!

Something New is actually a legitimate cinema company. I heard about them because they filmed commercials and training videos for the company I work for. I was a little hesitant that they'd know how to film a wedding but then I saw their wedding films and fell IN LOVE. This company has it down. My film is freakin' beautiful and I cannot thank them enough for capturing the entire day and putting it together the way they did. From start to finish, Something New was incredible! To begin, I had a few calls with other videographers who were SO salesy. For my wedding, I wans't feeling it. I wanted someone who I could relate to, who knew my vision, and who could capture our special day. Not only did Something New understand me, but the videographer (Tyler), was AMAZING!! Something New Media was an absolute pleasure to work with from the very beginning of my wedding planning process. It was extremely important for me that several aspect of my wedding day were not only captured in photography, but videography. I had requested that aerial footage, retro 8 MM clips, as well as very precious moments were captured in standard film. Something New Media did a wonderful job. I started working with a representative from Something New Media back in December. I was weary of the process since you don't get to know who your videographer is up front. Most of the videos seemed like what we wanted so we decided to go with them despite the nerves. Two months into working with a rep I get an email from the same rep telling me to sign a proposal before rates go up! Okay...we had already signed a proposal and paid deposits so this was concerning. The rep let us know it was an accidental email because I had attended a wedding show. Again okay, but I didn't attend the wedding show she mentioned. At that point she let us know we'd get all set 6 months out. A couple months go by and it dawns on me I never heard back from the rep. I called her and she let me know she was fired from Something New Media back in February. In the last three months no one has contacted us to let us know. We're now 4 months out from our wedding with no idea what is going on with our videographer. The video we originally loved the most is also gone from their vimeo page so I'm not even sure how to show them the style we were looking for. UPDATE: After our planner got involved, combined with this review they agreed to give us a full refund. Even getting the refund was a nightmare. The check never showed up and we had to reach out for a new one. When the new one arrived it took over three weeks to clear into my Chase account because the bank couldn't authorize the funds. I agreed to edit my review, so yes they did refund us but again, I would not recommend something new media. ALSO just to add some icing on the cake, when they originally apologized they sent me a "$15 Sephora gift card." When I went to use it at Sephora they told me it had never been activated. "It was as if they just grabbed it off the shelf and gave it to you" is what the woman told me. Cool.

We had a great experience working with Kylie as she explained all the options, helped me choose the best package, and figured out logistics. We had two videographers the day of who were accommodating and were willing to climb part of a mountain in order to get the best First Look footage. They never asked for specific footage from me or my guests-this could be good or bad depending on what you wanted. They let our photographers pick all the locations and shots and they took a backstage seat. Our video ended up being great so this worked out for us. After a few edits, our wedding trailer was perfect. My only complaint was that the raw footage is not what you would think-instead it is short 2-60 second clips of random moments of the wedding. Most of the raw footage was useless. Also, during the ceremony, a few times the camera was noticeably shaky or out of focus for a few seconds; this did not take away from our video though so I would still recommend this company to engaged couples. It is a plus that they work in both the Phoenix and Chicagoland area!

I could not have asked for a better experience with Something New Media. From the very beginning, they catered to our needs and made sure we picked the right package within our budget. They were very flexible when I had changes to the timeline. Our two cinematographers for the day were the BEST! They fit right in with our group and made the experience that much better. It rained the ENTIRE day and they rolled with the punches and made suggestions for possible outdoor places to go. It turned what could have been disastrous in to something fun. We received our video before they estimated (always a plus!). I had a few changes and they made them immediately. The heirloom wooden container that we received as a part of the package was absolutely beautiful. Thank you to the entire team for your work!

I went back and forth trying to decide if the cost of a videographer was worth it on the big day. Ultimately I decided that although pictures last forever, capturing someone's voice or laugh on film is also priceless. So Troy and I went for it after meeting Something New Media at a bridal expo in Chicago. We will never regret our decision. The film is beautifully made and the film quality is amazing. I truly feel that James and Mike (our AMAZING videographers) captured Troy and I's personality so well. They were so engaging and friendly, but at the same time non-intrusive. We never felt like we had cameras shoved in our faces and every interaction we had with our videographers was a great one. We even had a great time with them at our friends' wedding the following month, where they also happened to be filming! Both films are amazing and brought our family to tears and laughter. I do not have one bad thing to say about them - definitely worth every penny.

If it were not for James and his team, we would not have any way to truly revisit not only the visual sensation that was our wedding, but more importantly, the feelings, the emotions and the love. The way the video was shot, edited and with the music, with multiple shooters, the drone and the personal interviews captured a very magical time and did it so well, that we truly love watching all the videos over and over again.
