As anyone who’s ever gone the process of planning a wedding may know, wedding planning is an incredibly complex and stressful process that requires an immense amount of coordination, communication, and organization. Facing this challenge was in...credibly daunting, but it turns out we made perhaps the best decision of this entire process when we chose to bring on Somni Events for month of coordination.
Janice handles all month of coordination events for Somni, and right from the get go she came in with an incredibly detailed checklist and immediately got up to speed with our entire wedding plan. I thought that we had a decent handle on things up to that point, but Janice’s attention to detail and wedding expertise brought us to an entirely new level of organization in the months leading up to the wedding. Within a few weeks on starting work together, we had an entire wedding timeline planned out down to the minute, with detailed checklists for all the wedding party contacts, vendor lists, and so on.
As we navigated the never-ending list of decisions and checked things off our nearly infinite to-do list, Janice always made herself available to us, making sure to answer all of our questions throughout, no matter how complicated or trivial they were. She made time for all of our vendor meetings and handled a lot of things on her own (like vendor insurance), which took such a huge load off our shoulders. When we had trouble with things like deciding how to design our table layouts or how to arrange our welcome table, Janice chimed in with the most perfect advice leaving us thinking multiple times - why didn’t we think of that / of course that makes so much sense! We absolutely felt way less stressed leading up to our wedding knowing that Janice was on top of literally everything we needed her to handle. She is nothing if not the definition of dependability!
Finally, on the day of, after all of our coordination and planning, things went so amazingly well, so much more than we could have ever dreamed of! I distinctly remember passing by the reception hall before it was set up before getting ready in the groomsmen suite, and the next time I popped out to check on how things were going, Janice and her assistants had somehow magically transformed the entire space into the wedding venue of our dreams. It was incredibly surreal seeing that come to life!
Throughout the day, Janice and her team handled EVERY detail for us, from making sure that the catering team set aside hors douvres and signature drinks for us to try, to making sure we took photobooth photos, to holding my wife’s train as we took photos during cocktail hour, to making sure that we had plenty of time to eat and step away from the crowd when we needed it. The biggest compliment we can give is that Janice and her team made it possible for us to not have to worry about anything that entire day, which allowed us to fully live in the moment and be present for every part of our wedding day. We seriously could not believe how well it went, and we could not have asked for more.
