We chose to pick up and drop off the rentals ourselves, and everything was smooth and well coordinated. The items were ready on time, clearly organized, and in great condition. Drop-off after the wedding was just as easy, which we truly appreciated after a long (but amazing!) weekend.
The quality of the rentals was excellent—clean, sturdy, and exactly what we envisioned for our wedding. It was clear that this company takes great care of their inventory and values their clients’ experience.

Using Southern Events for our party rentals was a requirement of the wedding venue we picked but I would strongly recommend them even if not required. Their showroom is beautiful and really helps you visualize your concept.
Our coordinator, Shelby, was fantastic to work with and really responsive. She helped us get exactly what we wanted within a reasonable budget.
The team was also very accommodating to adjust to our headcount and weather changes.

ent wrong seems a little easier than writing out a description.
1. Napkins and all glassware was forgotten
2. Tables were set up incorrectly even though they had a map to go off of
3. They placed champagne flutes on every table even though we were not having any champagne and we never asked for the flutes
4. Glassware and napkins arrived a shocking 45 minutes before the ceremony - even though we tried to call Southern Events to let them know about the problem 4 hours before then.
5. They actually brought the wrong color glassware and napkins when it all arrived, but we had no time to correct it
6. 45 minutes before the ceremony our planner noticed that Southern Events had not set up the correct amount of tables.
7. They tried to refund us less than 10% for our troubles.
8. A worker told us that they ended up taking all of our things to another wedding and we got someone else's stuff. So I guess another wedding that day had the same experience.
9. All of these problems cause my mom and my planner to take over fixing everything. This meant not being able to spend time with my mom the morning of my wedding as well as my planner having to do side jobs away from the original plan up until the ceremony. This resulted in a lot of other issues for us while trying to fix Southern Events problems.
We paid a crazy amount for this service and signed a ton of contracts all for terrible service and a joke of a refund offer. After emails back and forth, they agreed to 50% back. We appreciated the final refund but felt that there was much pushback leading up to that offer and a lot of disagreeing on what actually happened.
Embarrassing service to say the least. Not what you want to deal with when you've been planning a wedding for 11 months to avoid this from happening.

Therefore, during our engagement, we met with 4 different rental vendors in the area. We liked many of them & their inventory, but for what we were looking for and our price range, we found Southern Events to be the best fit. I worked directly with Summer Sheldon. She was very helpful and patient - because we are not formal wedding planners, there were a lot of revisions to our original quotes to get all of the right items for our wedding day. We learned along the way that you can pay an extra fee to book a specific delivery time. That was important to us due to the venue we chose. From my understanding, the vendor arrived on time per what was mentioned on the contract & although there was a bit of a mix up the day regarding some tables - I would have never known since it was quickly figured out.
I would definitely advise taking a day off, scheduling an appointment and meeting them at their office. In addition, we decided to bring a replica of what our flower centerpieces would like which helped us to land on a color palette. Overall, Summer did a great job walking through the basics of what we need. During our appointment we took pictures and staged what we wanted everything to look like. I would recommend this vendor to any couple looking to reserve some rental pieces.

They were very apologetic about both instances + refunded us the money for the missing 100 chairs, but still, not something I'd want to happen on such an important day.

She was also helpful to remind me of items we might need that I may have forgotten about but yet wasn't pushy like a salesman. We also used them for our rehearsal dinner which we had at our new home. The delivery guys were prompt and helpful in setting up the tables and chairs. We will definitely go with Southern Events for any future rental needs.

ndors involved with this wedding. We are not surprised by the negative review and I expect similar reviews were left for the other involved vendors. The complaints from this couple simply did not match what happened on event day as confirmed by our staff, the venue and the wedding coordinator. They found problems throughout the planning process and asked for discounts and reimbursement more than once. It is our strong conviction that when something goes wrong, we absolutely will make it right for the client, including reimbursing as is fair. We wanted to do that with this client but were not able to find common ground after the fact.
We are truly sorry you felt your wedding day was anything less than what you planned for and imagined. Best to you both.

f the representative that I was used to talking with was busy then there were others right away that would help and then refer me back to the original person. I applaud the reasonable price as well and had looked at two other venders for the exact same table, chairs, linens but this company had the best prices. I also love their website and wished I needed their vintage furniture because I would have loved to have used it for my event! Maybe next time! I highly recommend them. They always got back to me and listened to all my concerns as my wedding approached. I wasn't sure the total amount of people coming and they were able to help out with that.

I worked personally with Laura, who was amazing. She really went the extra mile and contacted my caterer to coordinate the items we would need for the dinner. It was so comforting to know I didn't have to play middle man between vendors!
Laura was also really good about working within my budget. She was able to offer suggestions on how to keep the cost down without compromising the integrity of the day. I was really impressed!!

they have everything I could have dreamed of and in every color/pattern. Chelsea was familiar with the venue and was so helpful in bringing my thoughts together. I didn’t have to worry about anything! She was extremely accommodating and committed. I was changing things and adding/subtracting up until a week before and she dealt with my million questions and always got back to me timely! She put together everything for the day of and it was perfect. There isn’t one thing I didn’t love. I will always come to her for any event in the future, and will definitely recommend Southern Events to anyone looking for rentals. I had gotten in touch with other area rental companies but did not receive the high level of customer service that I did from Southern Events.
Their products were of the upmost quality and definitely reasonably priced (the same or less than competitors). They even threw linens, set up the tables and chairs, etc. so my family, husband, wedding party and I could relax and enjoy the day.
Don't hesitate, go with Southern Events! I 110% recommend this company and working with their friend staff.
