Our experience using Southern Events was great. When we initially went to the showroom to select our items we had a very welcoming experience. They also had a great variety of options at reasonable prices. 10/10 recommend.

We ran point in planning our wedding and decided to book the Cordelle, a venue located in Nashville, TN. This space is great but it does not come with any tables, chairs or china/glassware.
Therefore, during our engagement, we met with 4 different rental vendors in the area. We liked many of them & their inventory, but for what we were looking for and our price range, we found Southern Events to be the best fit. I worked directly with Summer Sheldon. She was very helpful and patient - because we are not formal wedding planners, there were a lot of revisions to our original quotes to get all of the right items for our wedding day. We learned along the way that you can pay an extra fee to book a specific delivery time. That was important to us due to the venue we chose. From my understanding, the vendor arrived on time per what was mentioned on the contract & although there was a bit of a mix up the day regarding some tables - I would have never known since it was quickly figured out.
I would definitely advise taking a day off, scheduling an appointment and meeting them at their office. In addition, we decided to bring a replica of what our flower centerpieces would like which helped us to land on a color palette. Overall, Summer did a great job walking through the basics of what we need. During our appointment we took pictures and staged what we wanted everything to look like. I would recommend this vendor to any couple looking to reserve some rental pieces.

Big shout-out to Summer over at Southern Events for her flexibility and prompt attention to detail. Our wedding order changed about 15,000 times and she quickly updated our contract every time. The furniture, china, and accent pieces complimented our decor perfectly - especially the vintage wash basins!
Our drop-off time was 7-8 AM and they pulled up at 7:00 sharp. Love it!

Southern Events has everything you need for an event! Courtney helped me pick out plates, silverware, linens and a cake stand for my wedding. They have a lot to choose from! I brought in pictures of ideas I had and Courtney helped me make the best decisions. Everything was clean and beautiful. Pick up & drop off was a breeze - the staff in the back at the loading area were very helpful! They were very accommodating to a list minute linen request I had. I'm so glad I rented actual plates, instead of buying paper or plastic. It really made a difference, and was very affordable. Thank you! We'll be recommending you to everyone! By the way, the silver cake stand really made our Publix cake look like a million bucks! :)

Southern Events was a pleasure to work with. Kristina was prompt to reply, answered any questions I had, and didn't bat an eye at the many changes I made to my order. They delivered all ordered items on time, assisted in the flip of the room between the ceremony and reception, and came back for pickup on time. I would recommend them to any bride needing rentals as they have a great selection and inventory!

Southern Events was great to work with throughout our entire wedding process! They worked closely with our venue, making the set up seamless. From the first meeting several months out, to the last minute additions, Kristina was so pleasant and accommodating. We were never pressured in to rentals out of our price range, and they provided a beautiful set up within our budget. I highly recommend Southern Events to anyone for their wedding day!

Kristina was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was very helpful in the decision process, and flexible with my frequent changes. We rented the whiskey barrel bar, linens, champagne and rocks glasses, cupcake tier, fruitwood chairs, and lounge furniture. Everything was great quality. We were missing a few small items on wedding day, had they been more important items I am sure that we could have called and they would have delivered right away. Great company to work with.

- My husband and I planned our wedding in Columbia from Michigan. Working with Kristina at Southern Events was a delight. I never doubted that everything would be taken care of. We rented months in advance and Kristina was even able to send me photos of all the rentals setup for me to get a feel of what it would look like on wedding day. There was a small issue a few days before the wedding but Kristina called me and made everything work out perfectly. Would use Southern Events in a heartbeat!

I hate to leave not a fantastic review but this vendor was the one I was least impressed with on our wedding day. Not only were they over an hour late to set up - which then set back our decorating/floral arrangements/etc for that long - but we ordered 300 chairs....and they only set up 200 then left. So, 100 of our guests had to stand during our ceremony. Luckily no one seemed to mind, but it was embarrassing I must say. They were very apologetic about both instances + refunded us the money for the missing 100 chairs, but still, not something I'd want to happen on such an important day.

Aimee, with Southern Events, was amazingly efficient and responsive from day one of working with her on bringing my vision for my wedding to life. Despite needing to make multiple changes or additions during the planning process, she was totally understanding and patient and quick to follow up with an updated list of rentals for me. She was also helpful to remind me of items we might need that I may have forgotten about but yet wasn't pushy like a salesman. We also used them for our rehearsal dinner which we had at our new home. The delivery guys were prompt and helpful in setting up the tables and chairs. We will definitely go with Southern Events for any future rental needs.

I would give them a negative score. Had such a horrible experience from start to finish. Staff was very unprofessional and not helpful at all. Our venue made us use them or we would have gone with another company for our wedding reception They ruined our decorations and basically told us we were liars. We emailed the owner just expecting an apology and got even more indifference and poor customer service. I would never use them or recommend this company.

complaints from this couple simply did not match what happened on event day as confirmed by our staff, the venue and the wedding coordinator. They found problems throughout the planning process and asked for discounts and reimbursement more than once. It is our strong conviction that when something goes wrong, we absolutely will make it right for the client, including reimbursing as is fair. We wanted to do that with this client but were not able to find common ground after the fact.
We are truly sorry you felt your wedding day was anything less than what you planned for and imagined. Best to you both.

Great service and equipment, my only complaint is they told us the day before my outdoor ceremony that we couldn't have their benches outside, so we had to come up with plan B.

I was extremely happy with how beautiful the rentals looked. The customer service prior to the wedding was amazing. I had quick responses to all order changes and they were very helpful. We did have the wrong candelabras delivered the day of which caused some stress. It was a little difficult to get a hold of someone 2 hours before the wedding but we did and they promptly delivered the correct candelabras.

I hired Southern Event Rentals for our small wedding in October 2014 just recently and I couldn't have been happier with all the help, people being prompt and kind on the phone. If the representative that I was used to talking with was busy then there were others right away that would help and then refer me back to the original person. I applaud the reasonable price as well and had looked at two other venders for the exact same table, chairs, linens but this company had the best prices. I also love their website and wished I needed their vintage furniture because I would have loved to have used it for my event! Maybe next time! I highly recommend them. They always got back to me and listened to all my concerns as my wedding approached. I wasn't sure the total amount of people coming and they were able to help out with that.

At our venue we had to bring in everything - chairs, tables, the bar, etc. Southern Events was great to work with from start to finish. They were familiar with our venue, helped us think through our decisions and made suggestions without being pushy, and were always prompt with email responses. They were on time the day of the wedding for set up and break down, the rentals were in good shape, and our order was correct (which is important when we had such a big order with lots of details). Overall a great, easy experience working with Southern Events for our wedding. Definitely recommend this company.

My fiance and I really enjoyed working with Chelsea at Southern Events. We came in with a pretty clear vision, but she was so easy to work with and dealt with some last-minute changes with ease and professionalism. She also worked closely with our coordinator so a lot of things were taken care of "behind-the-scenes," which took stress off of me.

I worked with Laura and she was very friendly and helpful. She helped us pick a floor plan and the linens and adjusted our order when the guest size changed a little. The tables were brought in on time and set up so I didn't have to worry about any of it. They are a great company and provide a great service.

Southern Events has a great selection of event rentals. Their prices are pretty high, but that's normal for rentals. They delivered and picked up as scheduled. There was one problem with our delivery that was fixed as soon as they could. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend them to others.

Since my wedding was at a venue that did not provide much, I had to rent everything from tables and chairs to certain ceremony accessories. Southern Events has a huge assortment of items to choose from, and they do a great job of helping you figure out what you'll need.
I worked personally with Laura, who was amazing. She really went the extra mile and contacted my caterer to coordinate the items we would need for the dinner. It was so comforting to know I didn't have to play middle man between vendors!
Laura was also really good about working within my budget. She was able to offer suggestions on how to keep the cost down without compromising the integrity of the day. I was really impressed!!

Southern Events and Chelsea were amazing! I was able to get everything we wanted for our wedding and still remain under budget. The wide array of choices was unbeatable; seriously, they have everything I could have dreamed of and in every color/pattern. Chelsea was familiar with the venue and was so helpful in bringing my thoughts together. I didn’t have to worry about anything! She was extremely accommodating and committed. I was changing things and adding/subtracting up until a week before and she dealt with my million questions and always got back to me timely! She put together everything for the day of and it was perfect. There isn’t one thing I didn’t love. I will always come to her for any event in the future, and will definitely recommend Southern Events to anyone looking for rentals. Your vendors make all the difference in the world and these guys are AMAZING.

Liked the rental props but setup staff didn't like taking direction. They got there early and set up without direction and didn't like having to redo it. I then had to micromanage the setup because they wouldn't see past their initial idea.

Not only did they provide beautiful rental items, but they also went above and beyond to help me create the over-all style for my wedding. I was so pleased to work with Southern Events. Laura had wonderful ideas to stick to our southern country chic themed wedding. We chose to use their wonderful farm tables for the head tables which turned out to be my favorite touch. Everything was delivered and set up the night before. Everything was so beautiful!!

I cannot thank Southern Events enough for how beautiful they made my wedding reception. From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful, attentive, friendly and more than happy to go the extra mile.
I had gotten in touch with other area rental companies but did not receive the high level of customer service that I did from Southern Events.
Their products were of the upmost quality and definitely reasonably priced (the same or less than competitors). They even threw linens, set up the tables and chairs, etc. so my family, husband, wedding party and I could relax and enjoy the day.
Don't hesitate, go with Southern Events! I 110% recommend this company and working with their friend staff.

I used Southern Events as a requirement from my wedding venue and would not have selected them on my own based on the first conversation I had with them. They knew I was a budget bride and I felt they held it against me every step of the way. I made my payments when I needed to, but always felt that the women working there didn't find me worth their time or to be a valuable customer. I could only afford one premium table cloth due to the price, and they didn't even bring it on my wedding day. I found that since every time I called them they needed to "get back with me"... it wasn't worth the $12 difference to fight over it. Their prices were reasonable on some items and painfully high on others. Their rentals looked good, but the service was not pleasant for someone who isn't a rich Franklin girl.

The unique items I found for my Alice in Wonderland Wedding made all the difference for a very charming garden wedding! They also worked with me so that I could pick up my wrought iron tee centerpieces in order to deliver to my florist. The mix and match heirloom china added perfectly to the "tea party" effect. On time and reliable!

We rented our tables from Southern Events for my wedding reception and I wish we had rented our tablecloths from them as well. I almost chose to rent our tables from a different company that my now in-laws rented from for our rehearsal dinner. But I decided against them and for Southern Events when I found out they new the location and could pick-up without me coordinating it. Lucky for me. The tables from the other company arrived dirty and were dumped in my in-laws yard. My tables were clean and the SE staff unloaded them in to our venue. I wish we had chosen to do our linens from them. We had a disaster of a time with those.. but that's another story! Overall, they are great to work with and they know so many other venues and vendors that it makes things easier.

Southern Events supplied us with all of our rentals from tables and chairs to linens and serverware. They had a wide variety of options to choose from and I had a very difficult choice picking because there were so many wonderful options, but the coordinator that I worked with was able to give me great tips and everything turned out beautifully. They were able to change our order and invoice as often as we needed as I changed my mind or our guest count changed. They set up and cleaned up after the wedding exactly as I requested. My experience with them was flawless.

My wedding venue was just an empty space, but Southern Events filled it nicely with great tables and linens. It looked great! But what was best about it all was that I had to do nothing, but pick out the items. They followed the floor plan to a "T". Very professional and easy to work with!

I needed limited rentals from Southern Events since I had some available at my reception venue. They were so great about 2 dropoff dates and times and a somewhat picky venue regarding pickup times. Their staff climbed 3 flights of stairs to our reception space with no complaints and all smiles!
