Rob Verde is a slime ball . Please know that Southern Hospitality went bankrupt. Prior to their bankruptcy filing, they sent out “10% discounts on the remainder of your balance for prepayment” knowing they were going to file for bankruptcy in early April. We are out $5000, and he did not EVEN TELL US he was not going to fulfill his end of the contract. This company and man are absolutely disgusting.
So pretty!! We had to book a tent for our reception due to weather for our April wedding and although the rain actually held out I do not regret the tent! It looked so beautiful! I loved that it was clear and you could still see all the amazing details our venue offered. Great choice!!
This group was a pleasure to work with for our chair and linen rentals for our New Orleans Wedding! We rented white padded folding chairs for our ceremony and gold chivari chairs for our reception seating! Chairs and linens were in excellent condition. Delivery, set up, and take down were seamless. Great communication as well with myself and our venue and wedding planner! Definitely recommend.
Everyone at Southern Hospitality Event Rental was so great to work with. We had a holiday party with last minute changes. We were worried about the items being available last minute, but they took care of us like champs.
Everything turned out great and we have a very special family party.
I used this company for my bridal shower and the were wonderful. The forecast changed last minute and I was scrambling because I hadn't rented a tent and they were so flexible to get me a tent added to my order two days before my delivery. I absolutely recommend and will use again.

I ordered my chairs and arbor from southern hospitality for my small wedding. The arbor was so beautiful and the service was amazing! They really did a good job on their website as it is very user friendly and you can see exactly what you will be receiving. The arbor was one of the highlights of my wedding and I’m so thankful we used them!

The folks are great at Southern Hospitality! We rented a dance floor for our wedding it was perfect! Run don’t walk to have them as your vendor.
We hired Southern Hospitality for the tents, lights, tables, etc. needed for an outdoor wedding reception. When the forcast predicted 80% chance of rain on the day of the wedding, one call was all that was needed for this company to adapt to the situation and move to another location. And when the monsoon hit, the guests were cozy and happy in a beautiful tent and the reception went on without a hitch. The office staff to the setup crew were very professional and accommodating. I highly recommend this company.

Working with any of the krewe over at SH is so EASY! They are easy to communicate with, work with, and get creative with. We have had the opportunity to work with them on several events and it has been a great experience. Not everything on the event day always goes exactly to plan, so if or when something were to happen its best to have a great team to work with that really cares!

I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding, and I truly mean it when I say it was all because of SHER. Sam and his team did everything they could to give us the BEST night! We had our ceremony and reception at a private property, so we were basically starting at ground zero. Sam helped us create a STUNNING setup with gorgeous antique x-back chairs, clear tent, and bistro lighting! Every single person I talked to, along with every person that talked to my mom, commented on how beautiful the tent/chairs were and that they had never seen a more beautiful wedding!

Madysen and the team at Southern Hospitality rentals were super easy to work with, at very competitive prices. We had an outdoor reception in New Orleans, so rain is always a risk, and we rented a tent and hightops from them for the reception. We didn't end up needing the tent, but when it came time to make a call on the rain, Madysen didn't pressure us, which was much appreciated on our wedding week. Highly recommend working with them!

OMG after many years of carnival balls, fundraising etc. Southern Hospitality is the best vendor we have ever used. They recently did our daughter’s and their attention to details were incredible. They did everything we ask and more. A couple of their workers even came to the event in case we needed anything else. I can’t say enough about Rob and his crew. Several of our guest have requested them for upcoming weddings and events.

I rented chairs from Southern Hospitality for my wedding. Everyone was super friendly from the booking process to the delivery/pick up. It was also a plus to have next day pick up because it was one less worry or item to deal with after the wedding was over. We could focus on having fun at the reception and didn’t have to rush to pick everything up. The chairs were nice and in good addition. Easy setup and completed the look of the ceremony. I will rent again for future events.
We had a great experience renting all necessary items for our outdoor wedding. It was so nice to get everything from one company. The office staff were very helpful with the multitude of questions I had throughout the process. The delivery team was quick, polite and knowledgeable. They were ontime and completed setup very swiftly. We were very pleased at how smoothly everything went.

They covered the entire courtyard area of the Lakehouse in mandeville for my wedding, provided tent fans and portable AC units to help with the heat and beautiful Italian bistro lighting under the tents.
Rob (the owner) actually called me the day before my wedding to make sure all looked good and to see if we needed to change or add anything before the wedding started because he wanted to make sure it was exactly what we wanted! THAT spoke volumes to me.
Whenever I would ask a question, the answer was immediate. I easily changed things without problem. They met all of our needs and made suggestions, too. I highly recommend!!
Unfortunately we had some sprinkles for my daughter's wedding but Southern Hospitality saved the day with the beautiful tent they provided in the Broussard's courtyard. It was so gorgeous we actually would have used it without the rain. They also provided extra tables and chairs. Perfect!

So glad my wife did her research and found SHER. I'm also glad we went with the padded chairs over the plastic. (If you're having thoughts about that, go with the padded) Everything was clean and looked practically brand new! I've been to many weddings where the chairs were rusted or beat up but SHER's were beautiful!

I attended a wedding of a family member over the past weekend and I couldn't believe how nice the quality of the chairs and tables were compared to the other local rental company's stuff I've used in the past. Everything was so clean and in great shape!
Southern Hospitality was wonderful to work with to bring in a tent for a courtyard reception in the French Quarter! We needed a large clear top tent that allowed for free movement throughout, and they had the perfect tent structure that had a high peak and didn't make you feel like you were in a tented space! Rob was very accommodating on letting us make the official setup decision based on the ever-changing rain forecast. Then they arrived early in the morning to set up and everything was set perfectly when we arrived for the remaining setup later in the day. Thanks for providing the perfect tent cover!
Southern Hospitality provided tables and chairs for our big day. We had a little miscommunication the week before our wedding and Sam could sense that I was frustrated and stressed out. A few days before, he apologized for the miscommunication and upgraded our chairs at no cost, as he knew I wanted them but could not afford them. It was important to him to make sure we got the best treatment around for our big day and he certainly made it happen.
The only thing I was wishing I could change prior to the day of was the chairs, as I was worried if they would make the whole thing look a bit cheap. His act of kindness really meant a lot to us and I will be forever grateful. He accommodated our Sunday after hours delivery and pickup the following day. The delivery was exactly on time and the chairs really elevated the feel of our wedding. I definitely recommend Southern Hospitality for your event rental needs and we'll certainly be using them again in the future! Thanks again Sam, the chairs really were the perfect touch.
I used Southern Hospitality Even Rentals for my wedding on March 4th, 2018. I cannot Express enough how awesome this company is. When looking for a place to provide 110 white chairs, I decided to use them. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until midnight the night before my wedding ceremony, that the date on my contract was incorrect. I called Rob at 5am on a Sunday morning waking him from a sleep to explain the situation. Worried out of my mind that I was about to have an outdoor wedding and no chairs for my guest to sit in. Some of which would be incapable of standing the entire time. Rob jumped to action assuring me that he would make it happen no matter what he had to do. Due to it being a Sunday he had no staff scheduled to work that day but that didn't stop him. He personally loaded 110 brand new white wooden chairs, drove them to the venue, set them up and come back when it was over and loaded them all back on the truck by himself. That speaks in volumes to me. That's customer service at its finest. That's a business owner that truly cares about his customers. Needless to say, I had a beautiful wedding and I owe it all to Rob. Thank you so much. I have and will continue to highly recommend using Souther Hospitality Event Rentals to everyone.
SHER was so responsive and helpful throughout planning our event! The string lights they hung looked beautiful and once I saw them I couldn't imagine not having them up that night. Highly recommended. After a date mix up on the paper work Southern Hospitality came through and delivered 108 chairs bright and early on a Sunday morning. The owner was very professional in handling the mix up. We called and woke him at 6am after we noticed the date mix up on the contract. Luckily we chose this company to handle the seating for our wedding. �

I searched throughout the New Orleans area for a quality tent and found Southern Hospitality to have the best quality. We rented a large tent and lights. The lights were absolutely beautiful. This is a professional company and you will not have to worry about anything if you hire them. I would definitely recommend them.
Rob with Southern Hospitality was amazing to work with for our wedding. We wanted to rent chiavari chairs and he was able to accommodate us with the 200 or so we ordered. We even changed our mind a few motnhs before the wedding to order black seat covers, instead of white, and he was able to pull it together for us. The gold chiavari looked incredible in the venue! Their set up and breakdown was easy from what we heard.

We had some issues with our venue that we found out about 2 days prior to the wedding and Southern Hospitality did a fantastic job at making everything run smoothly. I reserved a tent and chairs with Southern Hospitality a few months out from my wedding. The tent was intended to be an insurance policy for my partially outdoor wedding in the event that it rained. Well, it didn't just rain, IT POURED.
Days before I called Southern Hospitality to try to add an additional tent. They accomodated me and the addition of lights with no problem. They didn't charge a premium for adding to the booking the week of. They got everything set up.
The day before when they arrived to erect the tent they discovered it wasn't clean. Instead of just putting it up and hoping no one would notice - they took the steps to clean everything. It took them hours to get it up - going above and beyond what I'm sure many other companies would have done. Everything was set up perfectly. I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome.

When planning a wedding something is always going to get forgotten. For me, that was something very important... my ceremony chairs. Southern Hospitality Event Rentals exceeded my expectations with the garden string lighting for my venue in City Park. It was exactly how I envisioned it, and I received many compliments on how beautiful the reception was. Everything was set up and taken down exactly on time, and SHER worked with City Park for a timeline, so I didn't have to worry about a thing. I also rented a beautiful 50' carpet aisle runner for my ceremony in the Peristyle, which was perfect. After reaching out to other local rental companies, whose communication was lacking and prices were much higher, I am so glad I went with SHER. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. Southern Hospitality Events did a great job providing the ceremony setup at Jackson Square as well as the Italian Bistro Lighting at the reception and gave no hassles when we cancelled our tent a couple days before the event. Rob was always quick to respond to any question I had (be that by phone or email). Great experience!

I used SHER for gold chivari chair rentals for my wedding on 4-2-16 at the Omni Royal Orleans. Rob was AMAZING start to finish. He was incredibly easy to work with, always accessible via phone and e-mail, and incredibly helpful. I initially looked into Perrier rentals because they were the most "popular" vendor. Being an out of town bride - I figured to look into them. When they wanted to charge me an insane amount of money for set up/late night pick up, etc and were very rude when I inquired about the very high costs - I began looking to other, more reasonable and friendly vendors. I am SO happy I found Rob. We even had some challenges with our rehearsal dinner venue and called Rob last minute for some table and linen rentals. He was so accommodating to our last minute needs. Needless to say my wedding was gorgeous because of my chairs - I would definitely, without a doubt, recommend Rob and his team to any bride who wants to make their wedding day easy and beautiful!!!!!
Being a destination bride you pray (or at least i did) to find amazing vendors that were understanding. That didn't mind receiving 10 emails from you in 10 minutes, lol and thankfully I found that in Rob Verdi and Southern Hospitality Event Rentals. Their use of technology to perform business virtually is amazing. Mr. Verdi was always able to answer questions and change things up at a moments notice. Like I said to him in a personal email I can't wait to meet him in person. Its just good to be good and SHER is GREAT! My wedding isn't until a year from now but I'm that confident in knowing SHER will make me feel the same way on my wedding day as they do today. Thank you Rob and I'll see you in November 2016 :-)

I planned my wedding from Houston and Rob with Southern Hospitality Event Rentals made it a very easy process. He was quick to respond to emails and update our invoice when we kept changing things. The Jackson Square wedding package was just what I needed. The setup and breakdown went well. The only thing I would change is that I would add a hand mic to the PA package as we had to share a lapel mic with our officiant during the ceremony. Overall, very pleased with their service.

It stormed the night before my wedding, so I called Rob and asked if we could move everything inside. They did exactly what I asked and it looked stunning!!!!! Oh, and all at an amazing price! I was very satisfied with the service and price. They were willing to drop off Sat. since they do not deliver on Sunday. We had a fairly large (175 guests) wedding in the Lower Garden District last month. On a recommendation by our wedding coordinator, we obtained all of our event rentals from Southern Hospitality, including, 165 chairs, 20 tables, tents and various other rentals. Our wedding week fell right in the middle of the polar vortex which covered the entire country, and the weather was unseasonably cold for New Orleans in November. Because our wedding was outside, we had to have tents on reserve in case in case it rained. Up until the very last minute, we were not sure whether we were going to put up the tents, but Rob Verdi and his team at Southern Hospitality were incredible to work with – patient, reasonable, fair and honest (Rob promptly refunded a portion of the money we had prepaid for tents). Because it was so cold, we had to scramble to find extra patio heaters the day of the wedding. Rob and his team worked hard to get us exactly what we needed, even picking up and returning some of the heaters from a different rental company to save us the delivery charges. The chairs, tables and everything else from Southern Hospitality were all spotless and in top notch condition. Rob even arranged to pick up about 100 of the chairs between the ceremony and second line and it was handled seamlessly. Overall, our experience with Rob and Southern Hospitality was excellent. They are the kind of vendor you want to work with – honest, hardworking, very reasonably priced, punctual and professional. I recommend Southern Hospitality highly.
I loved working with Rob! He is so easy to talk to and answered all my questions. He worked with my venue before and knew exactly how to set things up. He actually called me the morning of the wedding, and his first words were "Nothing's wrong!" He just wanted to let me know he was ahead of schedule! He was great at recommending other vendors and we genuinely had a good time talking on the phone. He really worked with my budget. Awesome!
