It will make you super full so only order this signature dish, if you are going multiple times, sharing, or are ok with taking food home.

recommend starting the meal with their signature salmon pizza. Too good for words! And try their seasonal specialities - of late the cauliflower soup was delicious! If you are celebrating a special event let the staff know as they will help you to celebrate in style! SPAGO is a must for visitors and locals to Los Angeles to treat themselves to a very unique and lovely experience!

a great thing, as I got a glimpse of the man himself in the huddle as I sat at the bar! I didn't capture him in my pic. He walked through after I took it. The setting was relaxing and contemporary, with garden seating off the bar area and an enclosed area in the back. I sat in the open garden area as it was a lovely evening. The service was better than exceptional. 12/10 stars. Every server took care of every table, leaving no one passed by. Outstanding! The meal started with a chef's canapé of gruyere cheese mix in a choux served on a ceramic stump. One pop of absolute pleasure! I ordered the Jindori chicken and am so glad I went there instead of the gnocchi as I just wanted to jump into the potato puree and au jus and swim like Ann Margaret did in the beans in the movie Tommy! The crispy skin contrasting with the juicy chicken paired with the wild mushrooms... just WOW! I couldn't stop eating! Even though I was pretty full, I still couldn't pass up the Basque cheesecake. It was so soft and creamy in the middle you could schmere it! And you could see the millions of pure vanilla beans in the cream!! Yum! Topped with berries and whipped cream, this and a cappuccino were a perfect ending to my meal. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable meal and evening.

high ceiling has a classy tone. However, hygiene appears to be a big concern, perhaps the main reason for the Michelin stars to be plucked away! Washrooms are filthy to say the least, and coffee cups on the newly set dining table are not properly cleaned (shown on one of the photos attached). Jason, the manager taking care of the private party, is very friendly and accommodating. Sadly, the so-called California cuisine is unimpressive, and the high price is not justified at all! The signature Smoked Salmon Pizza’s crust is not crispy enough, and the salmon roes are very fishy. The Hiramasa Sashimi (US$ 38) is overpowered by the ginger seasoning. The Blue Fin Tuna (US$ 46) actually tastes quite fresh by itself, but is unfortunately ruined by the addition of the chewy seaweed that has a strange smell. Highlight of the dinner is the rich but fluffy Dark Chocolate Soufflé (US$ 28).
