The Barck Family - We have lived on this property since 2007 and have been blessed to be surrounded by the natural beauty Southern Minnesota has to offer. When my daughter became engaged the idea was sparked. We decided this was the perfect opportunity to share this wonderful property with others and we began to transform our piece of heaven into Spruce Hill Event Center!

ways to serve their guests. They just recently added an outdoor ceremony tent, added a catering cabana and paved the catering entrance, and have brought elegant finishes to each nook and cranny. That's not what made the event center the best though, that was Mike and Sierra. They provided such amazing communication throughout the wedding planning process down to the last minute. They also care so much about the people they are serving which helps make the wedding day go smoothly. Such kind people and such a wonderful space. Highly recommend! :)

istant (or daughter — not sure which!) were so kind and helpful, and any small issues that came up were handled right away.
For my 185-person wedding, I didn’t have a single guest say they didn’t have a good time! As the evening went on, I loved the fact that the outdoor space is so inviting and a lot of guests told me they liked the outdoor vibes in the evening during sunset. Speaking of which, sunset was gorgeous!! I also really appreciated that the ceremony benches were already set up and that they had different arch options to choose from, I picked the cross and it looked beautiful.
One of the biggest things for me was being able to bring in my own caterer, and I’m so grateful that this venue allows that. I’m not joking when I tell you guys I messaged over 100 venues on the knot and this venue checked off all my boxes! Overall, we had an amazing experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married!

This venue is absolutely stunning on amazing patch of land. The white exterior/interior gives you the ability to make the space your own with whatever style you're looking for.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning! The outside venue is perfect with a backdrop of fields and spruce trees! The bridal suite is perfect for getting ready the morning of and can comfortably fit the bridal party and hair and makeup personnel. The grooms quarters is perfect for the guys to have fun and hang out prior to the ceremony. The inside of the building is beautiful with the high ceilings and tall windows! I absolutely could not have asked for a better wedding venue!

y welcoming vibe. Mike has a golf cart that he uses to transport guests with mobility issues from the beautiful reception area to the outdoor area(s). If your child wants an outdoor wedding, but you want to make sure there is a good contingency plan in case of rain, the beautiful new tent with optional side panels that Mike added this year gives you peace of mind.
Recommend setting up a water station or two in the 2 corners, in addition to the bar, so that guests don’t need to wait in line for water.

Spruce Hill was the best venue to get married at! We had 180 guests. Throughout wedding planning, they were so quick to respond to any questions I had and very open about pricing. ...
On our wedding day it was predicted to rain, so they had a tent set up for 200 people. They also allowed us to push the ceremony back by 20 minutes to avoid the rain, and it turned out to be a beautiful ceremony and day without any rain or problems, and the rest of the day still went as scheduled perfectly. The bridal and grooms suites were perfect spaces for our wedding party and families to get ready. We had about 20 kids at our wedding and they had so much fun playing out in the yard/ceremony site during dinner and the dance. People loved the patio and sitting on the couches out there. There were so many cute places to take photos on the grounds and my photographers had fun walking around and finding spots for photos. Mike and Sierra were around the whole time and answered ALL the questions from vendors and even guests, and were so so so helpful on the day of! We were ahead of schedule all day and as the bride, I was not stressed at all! We used our own cross as the arbor, and they had extra bricks to hold it down since it was a very windy day. Highly recommend Spruce Hill to anyone getting married.

This is one of the only venues we found that allows open catering - this was a big highlight for us to have the flexibility pick a caterer.
The venue is beautiful and we received many compliments on it from our guests. We would recommend this venue to anyone!
They helped us find vendors and gave great local recommendations. They are great at communication and responded quickly to any questions we had.
This venue is a hidden gem, don’t miss out on it!

dible to work with. From securing the venue to minor tweaks the day of, he was all ears and had hands on deck. Super flexible, professional, and genuine. And can we just talk about this gorgeous venue? The newness of the venue is appealing, but the views just blow you away! The location is remote, but a very easy drive. And the parking onsite is a huge plus. A great time was had by all! I’d highly recommend this venue to anyone searching.

Groom’s quarters was a wonderful spot for all the guys to hangout and get excited for wedding!
Bridal suite was perfect spot for all the hair and make up fun!
We had the ceremony outside! The benches were beautiful, and we asked to bring our own decor, which Sierra and Mike are super kind and let you decorate to your liking!
The reception was inside and it was so spacious and beautiful!
We are so lucky to get married at this beautiful venue, and we will remember this day forever!
