We had the owner, Kevin Childs, DJ for our outdoor backyard wedding in June 2014. He was by far one of our favorite and easiest vendors to work with. He had great equipment, including a projector that he brought so we could have a slideshow of pictures playing throughout the reception. Despite the fact that we had less than 100 people in attendance, he was able to keep people of all ages on the dance floor all night! He played great music and knew exactly how to keep the crowd going. I would use his services again in a heartbeat, as it was a true pleasure doing business with him!

We hired St. Cloud DJ (and by extension DJ Kevin Coop Childs) for our wedding at the Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria. DJ Coop was on the Winery’s preferred vendor list as DJ’s that they had worked with in the past with positive results. Positive results indeed! Put simply, the day could not have gone any better. From the top, DJ Coop was a breeze to work with on the front end. Our wedding guests suggested songs to play on their invites, my wife and I then created a list of said songs. We then emailed DJ Coop this list with the hopes that some of the songs would be played for our special day. DJ Coop showed up to the winery early, as we had discussed to set up for social hour and our reception. It was a good thing he was there because our day had a few technical snags. Our Ceremony music was held on our iPod, which lost power before the Ceremony. In the chaos of the day, my wife and I forgot to mention to our coordinator that our phones had playlists on them as backups. Enter DJ Coop to the rescue. I don’t know what he did, but he managed to get all the music needed for our ceremony and play it for us. Keep in mind that we did not ask for him to do this, DJ Coop just stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. After the ceremony was the social hour. DJ Coop took the time to let me know how the night was going to unfold musically. I was surprised (pleasently) when he told me that most of the music was going to be requests from our guests! DJ Coop did an excellent job of picking music for social hour, dinner and dancing. Dancing, oh boy the dancing! Once the dance floor needed filling it was PACKED until the encore song and final wrap up. I must have said good-bye to people three times because they kept coming back on to the dance floor. Completely honest and true. DJ Coop fed off the energy we gave him and he gave us the energy to dance! Dancing highlights: one of my groomsmen ripped his pants to “Big Butts”, DJ Coop threw out Glow Sticks during “Sandstorm” which on its face seemed silly, then quickly turned into one of the most talked about events of the evening, my parents stayed on the dance floor, and finally, everything went off without a glitch. DJ Coop put it to me succeciently, “relax, let us professionals do the work”. Its true. DJ Coop is worth every penny, people are STILL talking about the dance. I’d recommend this professional to anyone looking to have their wedding be awesome. Thanks Coop, much appreciated!

We loved our DJ! Kira did an excellent job reading the room and knowing exactly what to play! She took good notes from a meeting we had and everything went so smoothly! This company has a flat rate for as much time as you want which was so nice not to have to worry about scheduling at all. HIGHLY recommend them!

DJ Coop was amazing! He helped out with things he didn't need to, was there early, and was super professional. He had the dance floor going and even got out there himself to show people how to do the dance moves to songs like the Cupid Shuffle. I would highly recommend him!

my brother got married in 2009 and from then on I knew that I wanted to use coop in Saint Cloud DJ.com as my DJ for my wedding. he makes sure everything goes smoothly and is that a fair price for working all day long.I would definitely recommend him

DJ Coop (Kevin, the owner of St. Cloud DJ) has DJ'd multiple weddings for friends and family in the past, so when we got engaged one of our first tasks was to book him as our own wedding DJ. He didn't disappoint! As usual, he played a great mix of songs - the dance floor was never empty. I highly recommend him (or any of his colleagues) to anyone and everyone in the St. Cloud area.

Had the owner, Kevin, as my DJ. Best wedding music/party I have ever been to. There was not one song that there wasn't at least one person on the dance floor. Played a wide variety of music to keep everyone, even the grandparents dancing.

The Dj set up in our ceremony site on the alter after being told to set up in the back. He did not have his own power, even though he told us he had done weddings at our site before. We requested specific songs and offered to provide him copies of the music days before the event. He failed to play the music we asked for, and then when approached said he didn't have them because he couldn't find them even though they were on current music charts as #1. After being approached 3 times at the reception, only after the groom got up and told him song by song, did he play what we requested in the last 45 minutes. He told us most people don't care what kind of music is at their wedding, so if that is you, he would be a good fit.

The dance floor was not empty for a single dance...the DJ wore a tuxedo to the event...he was so professional, I look back at that decision and am relieved I did it!

Aaron from St. Cloud DJ offered a good time. He played all the songs that we requested and even got the older crowd up and dancing.

These guys were great. They made the whole night run smoothly. They had a great varied of music. Also they made time to sit down with me beforehand and go over all the different music choices and know exactly what I wanted!!

I had Jeremy Koelln as my DJ for my wedding and it was amazing!!! He kept everyone moving and there was never an empty dance floor!!! He knows how to keep it moving and play the right music for the group there!!! I highly recommend them. They are very affordable and have great equipment and they are will to travel!

Unlimited hours, fair rate, professional DJs! They were there before our first guest and stayed until we kicked them out! Respected our music preferences, and even asked if they could play a few songs they thought people might want to hear but some brides don't want to hear... polka, I knew the Bride... etc.

He catered to what music we wanted. He had a generic list we crossed things out and added things in. He remixed the father/daughter dance for me changed the music when I gave him thumbs down (and put up with me when I did that:)) and many other things. They could charge way more but their low cost is what makes them all the more better. They are not cheesy and they really make an effort to know the bride and groom and don't just send whoever is on that night out to the venue.;As for any DJ - be specific for what you for sure want played vs. what kinds of music you like.
