le nervous getting our pictures taken, and Stephanie was incredibly flexible and reassuring throughout our Engagement shoot. She had her own ideas, but was open to suggestions and ideas, and was great at capturing our best angles. We were thrilled with our first session and no longer had any trepidation moving into our Wedding proper. Our Wedding itself got hit by an unfortunate heat wave, which required us to make a lot of changes last minute. Stephanie was able to make it work, and helped us select a lot of indoor locations to shoot in on our venue's property. Her photos of the bridesmaids, groomsman, and selected family were wonderful, and will be cherished forever. She made the best of the location and got some gorgeous shots of the sunset, as well as absolutely wild photos of the reception. She went above and beyond and stayed an extra few minutes to finish shooting for an especially fun song that was playing as she was about to leave. Her turnaround time was also great, we had our wedding photos within 6 weeks or so of the Ceremony. Like before she shot and turned over so many photos, we've appreciated having so many options to choose from. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone that's looking to book a photographer for anything, and would gladly book her again.

nie guided us through the whole process. She was an expert in posing, making us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She was also very open to recreating specific poses we were interested in. I tend to feel insecure, but Stephanie made me feel beautiful throughout the whole session, and it showed in our photos. Overall, we are in love with our photos and will be coming back to Stephanie Michelle Photography for future life-events. She is a wonderful human to work with and we highly recommend her services!

from the very beginning she was specific with her expectations, listened carefully to every word we said, and really got to know us as more than just her client. She can command a room easily and professionally, which is exactly what we were looking for. Our venue recommended Stephanie to us and she's worked there before, so we were able to look at exact photos of her work at our venue which was super helpful. She has also done Catholic church weddings, which was a requirement for us, and she knew all the details and specifics to capture every special moment during the ceremony. As part of her contract, she offered an engagement photo shoot for us, and she traveled from Leesburg to our town Manassas to take photos after work one day. It was a cold, Nov. day, we were absolutely freezing, and the sun went down halfway through our 1-hr long session. HOWEVER, she was still able to capture amazing photos even with minimal light, and she even stayed a little after the hour mark to make sure she could get the photos in the dark. And the photos turned out amazing! We can't tell which photos were taken before the sun went down and which were taken after! In preparing for our day, she had a couple detailed meetings with us to make sure she captured every photo moment we wanted on our wedding day within the contract time frame - that extra communication was exactly what we needed to keep ourselves calm right before the wedding day. We used her 10-hour package but ended up hiring her for an additional hour to make sure we got some getting-ready photos, and we're so glad we did! She arrived early and prepared, and she jumped right into taking photos immediately. She was friendly with all of our vendors, who even started calling themselves the A-team since they've all worked together before our wedding! The day of our wedding was perfect! She captured every single candid moment that we wanted to remember forever, and we never felt like she was in the way during the entire day. We had a short amount of time to get church photos after the ceremony, and we had a church coordinator who even turned the lights off on us trying to get us to leave, but Stephanie was professional and efficient the entire time and made sure to get every photo. At our venue, she captured every detail! And she even snuck in some golden hour photos which we were on the fence about getting, depending on time. All of our guests love the dancing photos and never felt like she was in the way. And at the end of the night, when we had our private dance after the send-off, she even stayed a little after the venue was supposed to close down to make sure she got every angle during our dance.
