String Theory Music was incredible - we used them for our ceremony and cocktail hour and I cannot begin to express how perfect they were. The musicians nailed the music, everyone complimented them and they even learned my aisle song (Across the Stars) and performed it perfectly! Allison is professional, quick to respond, and all around a perfect vendor. If you are considering strings for your wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend this group!

I was introduced by recommendation to Allison, the String Theory Music Coordinator, through one of the late owners of Castle Otttis in St. Augustine, FL. It was such a sincere pleasure working with her attributes of professionalism, humble partnership, prompt responsiveness, and genuine smile orchestrated amidst our fairytale dreams that were brought to life at our wedding. The violin and cello duet yielded echoes across time that our still heard in our cherished memories to date. Allison and her team were very accommodating in learning new Celtic music and recomposing a Vivaldi classic, in addition to the vast repertoire that was already available. String Theory is highly recommended for any venue that is ready to be enchanted with tunes that will make dreams come true!

Working with String Theory Jax was easy and professional! I hired a cellist for my day! They were so friendly, able to play/ learn a song I requested off of their approved songs list and responsive! The cellist added a special element to our day that i will always cherish! All done even with it pouring rain outside! Highly recommend!

We hired String Theory for our daughter’s wedding. The string trio was flawless! They played a mix of classical and modern songs and mastered a special request that sounded better than the original. My husband was a little wary about not just using the DJ for our ceremony, but ended up being so happy that we chose them instead! We did a violin and cello duet and they were absolutely incredible! Allison Marshall was always super responsive to my emails and made great suggestions for songs when we needed some! We requested a song from them that was not on their list and they had no issue learning it for us. We did a first look before the ceremony and could hear them practicing in the background which was absolutely incredible. While the ceremony was beautiful, I kind of blacked out so I am glad we were able to enjoy them on our own during the first look. An added bonus that I was not expecting! Overall, we definitely recommend String Theory Music! It elevated our ceremony to a whole new level and made it even more special and beautiful! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about them!

Incredible. I would give 100 stars if I could! We booked String Theory Music to play during our wedding ceremony this past Saturday. I cannot say enough good things about them. From the very first interaction with Allison, she was so friendly, personable, and easy to work with. She took the time to answer all of my questions and gave her professional input, which was invaluable to us. I found their prices to be very reasonable and fair for the services and level of quality they provide. They have an extensive song repertoire, but if the songs you want aren't on the list, they even offer commissioned arrangements at a very reasonable rate and will learn the new songs for you! String Theory has violinists, cello players, but I really wanted a piano player too, so I booked a piano player to accompany them through another website. Allison took point on managing interactions between the musicians, and musicians collaborated together while needing very minimal direction and input from me, so they made the process very easy for me. When it all came together on my wedding day, we were absolutely blown away. They don't simply just play notes, they play it with so much passion and emotion. Their professionalism, artistry, and dedication to their craft is evident. It was the highlight of our whole wedding! If you are on the fence about booking them, please, just go ahead and do yourselves the biggest favor and just DO IT! You will never be disappointed!! Cross posted from Google reviews. :)

We booked a String Quartet for our wedding day through String Theory. Allison was such a pleasure to speak to and work with through the process. She didn’t hesitate to add songs I wanted that weren’t on the list for the ceremony music, such as “Sky Full of Stars” for my entrance and the “Jurassic Park” theme song for my husbands. We are very honored to have had her and the other musicians be a part of our wedding day, they were perfect. We will have beautiful memories of our music for years to come because of the performance of String Theory. They will add another part of love to your wedding day with their beautiful music! There is nothing else like the feeling that live instruments can add to your wedding day, it will give you goosebumps. Thank you String Theory from the bottom of our hearts!

I highly recommend string theory. We had a cello.player and I wish I remembered her name. Our day was crazy with a storm all around us. We had to pull the service off the beach. Our cello played froze her fingers and never complained. She was positive and didn't add any stress to our crazy day. Her talent was supreme. It really added atmosphere and a personal touch. Had a cello and harpist for ceremony and cocktail hour at my daughters wedding. What a beautiful addition! These folks are top notch! They come dressed for the occasion, looking very professional! Arrived early for set up and the guests were truly amazed at what this added to the evening! It was magical! I would highly recommend!

What a beautiful addition to our ceremony String Theory was! We originally had a friend playing acoustic music for us but I worked multiple weddings with this vendor and they were so talented we decided we had to hire them if they had our date available (July 3rd, 2022) We were so thankful they did and they were so accommodating. We chose a string trio. We were only particular about a few songs for the processional but otherwise kept song choices in their hands. We are still receiving compliments about how beautiful it was. It added an extra step of elegance to our ceremony which is exactly what we wanted before the "party" part of the wedding. They arrived promptly on time and played for half an hour before the ceremony. We can't thank them enough for being apart of our day and making it even more special.

All I can say is wow! I splurged a little on a solo cellist for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and it was incredible. Completely icing on the cake of our perfect little wedding by the lake at the Manor at 12 Oaks Farm. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Talented, professional, and so helpful with choosing music (we did a mix of classical and modern)! 12/10 Thank you!

So we had lined up music that fell through the week of our wedding, enter the INCREDIBLE String Theory! Allison and her musicians truly saved our day. She was quick to respond and so understanding of the situation. We were able to have all the music we wanted for our ceremony and it sounded amazing! At the beginning of my ceremony I was standing at the top of a staircase, listening to the beautiful music float up to me and I almost started crying. I’m not a crier! Thank you String Theory for making our day special!

We had String Theory Music play all the music for our morning wedding and reception and it was perfect! I had contacted Allison as soon as we were in contract with a special request. We wanted a classical piece when walking down the aisle that was not in their repertoire. She was wonderful to work with and extremely accommodating. We asked them if they could do it and she made it happen for a nominal amount. It was perfect!! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. If you need musicians for any event, I would use String Theory Music if possible…I highly recommend them!!

String Theory is the best vendor we had at our wedding. Allison is so professional, talented, and nice. They were so easy to work with and I felt like we weren’t going to have to worry because they had their act together. During a wedding, I have learned that you have the groups that you have concerns about, String Theory is the opposite... you don’t have to worry, they’ll exceed your expectations...they’re amazing!

Allison and her team were able to add a special touch to our wedding! We had an afternoon tea wedding and having them play was the perfect addition because having a DJ during the ceremony and cocktail hour did not seem fitting. They played a special request song of “La Vie En Rose” as I walked down the aisle and it was played wonderfully. Allison was very easy to work with and I cannot recommend their services enough.

It has been a few years since my husband and I got married at the San Marco Preservation Hall. The small chapel was the perfect setting for the violin & cello to play music for our wedding. Allison Marshall is a dedicated, professional violinist. She has performed at the Castle Otttis numerous times. In addition to being a very accomplished musician, Allison is incredibly patient and accomodating when an event at the castle is delayed due to late guest arrivals. This past Saturday, Oct 3, 2015, I observed Ms. Marshall playing over two hours without surcease. She is simply amazing. Having live string music at our event was seriously one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding! It's an element that is often overlooked but added just the right touch and ambiance that we were looking for!
