I got the dress of my dreams from here and had great customer service. The owner of the salon and the lady who helped me both wrote the sweetest note detailing their thanks and I w...
as able to get my dress so quickly. My sister in law also got her dress from here and had the same good experience. I was so happy I could find a wedding gown that was my exact taste.
I cannot say enough great things about Suburban Bridal. I worked with Jacque and felt like an absolute princess the entire time I was in the shop. From the moment I walked in, you ...
could tell that I was Jacque's priority - she worked collaboratively with the other gals working that day to determine good dress options as I walked in not really knowing what I wanted in a dress. She asked all the right questions, experimented with putting me in different cuts and accessorizing/showing dress options such as additions, color changes, etc to my hearts content. Ultimately I found my YES dress at Suburban and couldn't be more thrilled. None of it would have been possible without Jacque's attention to detail and truly listening to my feedback as I tried dresses on.
I had such a great experience at this bridal store. Mary Lou & Jacquie were both absolute angels. So helpful, funny and kind. I highly recommend this place as not only are they won...
derful people but the dresses are GORGEOUS. I had gone to 2 other stores before this one and never loved a dress I tried on and I felt so defeated. Then I came to Suburban Bridal & I immediately LOVED so many dresses right off the bat. It was hard to even make the decision because I loved several! Thank you again Suburban Bridal for making this so special for me!
While we were happy they were able to get us in as a walk in, and they had a BEAUTIFUL dress on a manikin, that was the extent of the positive experience here.
The lady who helpe...
d us was less than helpful. I understand that bridal runs small AND that I'm considered plus size, but the lady was SO rude about a dress not fitting. After retrieving the dress that I wanted to try on from the back she whipped it out of the bag and all but threw it at me. Followed by a comment of "this is the biggest size I have of this dress" (it was a 16 for context)
after it not fitting she gave me a different dress, also basically thrown at me, we went to show my mom, mother in law and 2 bridesmaids. She brought along the first dress I wanted to try on and said again "this is the biggest size I have in this dress, do you want to see it on one of your thinner gals?" I took the dress off, got my clothes back on and left as quickly as we could.
I get that I'm not the "ideal" bridal size, but I've never felt so insulted about my weight in my life. Crappy experience all around. While they do have some very beautiful dresses, I would not recommend going here if you're bigger than a size 12 in street sizes.
I can not say enough about this bridal shop! They were so personal and kind. They made sure my dress was everything I wanted and asked for. They were there for me through everythin...

ban Bridal, whenever I said I did not like something about a dress they immediately said "well, we can change that no problem!" They are going to create the exact dress I had in mind and because of this, I will have a one of a kind dress! Also, the dresses at Suburban Bridal were much more reasonably priced than any other bridal shops I visited. Same with the price for alterations. Plus, with the supply chain issues being what they are from the pandemic, Suburban Bridal ensured me that my dress would be here with plenty of time to spare. I hadn't heard that from any of the other bridal shops I visited! I was told numerous times that it would take 9+ months to get a dress in. Suburban Bridal ensured me that they have never missed had a dress not make it in time for a wedding, and I absolutely believe them.
I would recommend Suburban Bridal to anyone!
I was skeptical about Suburban Bridal at first. I called trying to find their location not knowing I needed an appointment and my experience wasn't impressive. I went ahead and m...
ade an appointment anyway and am so glad I did. I went with my mom and, let me tell you, these ladies are experienced and know what they are doing. Mary Lou asked me a number of questions to get an idea of what I may like. She pulled out a number of gowns, helped me with trying each of them on. She made me feel so special!! I narrowed my decision down to two dresses and she helped me try each on several times as I couldn't make up my mind. She was so incredibly patient. I see several bad reviews here, most of which are old, and am honestly surprised as my experience was fantastic. I found a beautiful gown, in my price range, that suits me perfectly. Many of the gowns I tried on (and the one I ended up purchasing) were of Mary Lou's own design. These are not just mass produced gowns. Give these ladies a chance if you are looking for a more personalized experience. I did not get this treatment at David's Bridal!!
First, I want to note that the store has downsized and now only sells wedding dresses and veils, so my experience may have been different from older commenters. I went into Suburba...
n Bridal after a long day of trying on dresses and not expecting to find much. I ended up finding my dress there!
I was the only one in the store so I was assisted by both women. Mary Lou was very helpful in taking my feedback and picking new dresses for me to try on. Since she designs all the dresses, she will offer redesigns for anything you don't like about the dress. She will be redesigning the skirt of my dress so that it is one-of-a-kind for me! The dress I picked is also half the price of dresses I tried at other boutiques. They also have a large selection of veils, so I found one that matches the lace of my dress perfectly.
What really sealed the deal for me is that Mary Lou was willing to accommodate my shorter time line and living situation. I am living away from home for school, so Mary Lou is having all of my alterations done in the two weeks before the wedding, meaning I don't have to fly back and forth.
I will have to see how everything turns out in the end, but so far, Suburban Bridal has been amazing and I'm so glad I found them!
I knew before I was even engaged where I was going to look on my first day dress shopping. My sister found her dream dress here about 5 years ago. I arrived and was greeted by Ki...
m, we had a brief discussion about budget and what is important to me in a dress. I brought my own veil that my sister bought from Suburban Bridal back in the day and it still looked amazing with every dress! Kim gave me all the time I needed to make a decision (I am the worst with decisions). I was too hungry to commit to a dress I was honest with Kim and she understood. My family and I left to get lunch and then I knew I had to get that dress. We went back to the shop with my veil this time we were greeted by Mary Lou and Kim! I was so happy to see Mary Lou again! I tried the dress on one more time and I discussed with Mary Lou about a few changes I wanted to make. I wanted to add small straps and put in a little sequence. She said that would be no problem! I cannot wait to have my custom designed dress from the Lisa Lou collection!! Kim told me Mary Lou has her PHD in design and it shows! She is tweaking a few things on my dress to fit my body type as well. I called my closest friends that are going to be dress shopping soon and I told them they HAVE to go here! The dresses are so comfortable, durable and beautiful! The lace is like nothing else you have ever seen!

y possible. She made me feel comfortable, and gave her honest opinion which I so appreciated! Thank you Mary Lou and the rest of the Suburban team for helping me pick my dream dress! It was the best experience! ♥️
I cannot speak highly enough about the people at this bridal shop. My mom came to visit me one weekend from Wyoming and, as we were looking at other shops, I felt like I was simply...
a customer; I was just another number or appointment to them.
We randomly looked up bridal shops in Omaha on Google Maps and thankfully stumbled upon Suburban Bridal. From the moment I walked in and began trying on dresses Jacque made me feel so, so special. When I first walked in, she had me take a look at the different dresses on display and asked me what I liked and didn't like about each dress. She went to the back and found a bunch of dresses in my "style" and she ended up helping me find my dream gown.
A week later when I went with my sisters to show them my top three gowns, their jaws dropped when they saw THAT dress; I felt like a princess. My dress experience felt like one I could only dream of. All of the women who worked there, including the owner Mary Lou, were helping me pick out my veil and taking into account exactly what I loved about each one.
I truly felt so, so special from the moment I walked into this store to the very moment that I said, "Yes to THE dress!" I will post another review with the shipping and alterations process but I have absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind that the review will be positive as well.
I could not recommend this place enough; get your dress from here! You will not regret it. Every single dress looks like it was thought out with such detail. Thank you all for everything! I cannot wait to send you pictures of it on our big day!

e in the higher end of my budget of $1,000-$1,500. These gowns were all gorgeous with handmade lace at very reasonable prices. I left my consultation without a dress, but had one I was on the fence about. I went to two more salons that day and gave them a call close to closing time asking if I could try it on once more. They had it pulled and ready to go when I arrived. All I needed was to try it on again and I knew it was mine. I would highly recommend Suburban Bridal to anyone in the search for a wedding dress. My future sister-in-law found her wedding dress here too. I spent about $1,300 for the dress, veil, and tax on them.
My experience at this store was amaizing! I tried four stores before this one and I can say that the atmosphere, quality, and price of dresses cannot be beat! The store keep their...
dresses in excellent condition so that you can buy a sale dress that does not have rips and tears. It made wedding dress shopping into the experience I was searching for.
I had a long and difficult path to getting my wedding dress from them. I had a wonderful first appointment, where I found THE dress, and was able to place an order for the color I ...
wanted. Everything after that was downhill; when my mother put a deposit on the gown, they made assurances about the shipping, which changed when I went to pay for the rest of the dress. No one wanted to measure me to find out what size to order, I had to do it myself. And when the dress eventually was shipped to me, it was left all day on my front porch - meaning they sent it without requiring a signature at receipt.
Pro's: the selection, the courtesy at first visit.
Con's: price seemed to change based on who was spoken to, no one cared about ensuring I received the dress - let alone in a size that would fit, a saleslady erupted in tears when I tried to clarify the price (I work in customer service and never verbally abuse anyone, so this was an extreme emotional reaction to her realizing how much of an unacceptable ordeal this was turning into), the store manager/owner was downright rude to both myself and my mother - unacceptable when we are spending $1,000 there.
I had a wonderful experience from finding my dress to having alterations done - The staff was welcoming and always easy to work with. They have a beautiful selection of dresses!
Oh Boy!!!
I wish I had taken the time to read the other reviews before I even bothered going in this place.

I will never step foot foot in that shop again and will warn anyone I can to steer clear of it as well.
If I could give zero to stars I would, also don’t even waste tour time stepping foot in there if you have bridesmaids over a size 10! Not ONE dress for them to try on! 2 of my bridesmaids left feeling upset.

They were busy so I felt terrible for being there without an appointment, but I was made to feel special. I was even able to try on the dresses that I liked. s about my dress, they sent me home with the wrong size because they didn't check the tags, they misplaced my veil, and what's worse, they didn't seem to think any of this was a problem!! Had I known what I know now about Suburban Bridal, I would have shopped elsewhere.

e owner is so rude!! When I told her I won't send anyone I know getting married to her store she said, "oh well".
I asked her to steam a bridesmaid dress of one of my girls who lived out of town. Bc I had left the store with it and brought it back she told me she wouldn't do that. Bridal traditions did it for me in a past wedding. I had called Suburban and the lady told me to bring it in. Once I got there it was a whole new story.
The owner told me she didn't care about my dress, she cared about her equipment. She said there could be grease on my dress and didn't want it getting on her equipment. What the hell!? It was still in its bag. I asked why when I called they said to bring it in to be steamed, and now she's saying, "no". She responded with, "well, it doesn't matter, we will not do it".
No wonder your store never has customers.

option was an evolution of what I liked most about other dresses leading to an amazing option. In the end I went with another dress at another store, but I couldn't go without giving a great review. Suburban Bridal offers a wonderful experience, fantastic options, and an accommodating staff willing to help make your dream dress a reality. Thanks again for the great experience!
The ladies at Suburban Bridal are so wonderful! I think I was in there about six times to try on my dress before the big day, and they always treated me like it was the first time....
The owner is the sweetest woman I have ever met. She always gave me such wonderful advice.

te. The staff seemed friendly, and I really liked their selection of dresses. The mirror space is a little bit open, so it's not as private as some of the other boutiques we went to, but it wasn't a big deal. Also, you can't take pictures of the dresses, which might have been unhelpful if we were trying to compare them at the end with ones from different stores.

strated and do everything to help me. Gina and the owner were FABULOUS and got me in dresses that made me glow. In the end, I walked out of the dressing room in a stunning dress and busted into tears when I saw myself. Every time I stopped in, they remembered my name and always complimented my dress. Such sweet people who really make you feel like a special bride every step!!! I recommended them to all my bride friends.

FITTINGS
One of them (a size 4 fit her perfectly in the store) was told after her measurements that her "butt was so big" she should order a size 12! Thankfully she ordered a size 8, and even that is too big. Another bridesmaid, normally a size 4-6 was told the same thing-- she got a 12 and its HUMONGOUS on her. Another bridesmaid was told because she is 5'10 she would need to add "additional length" (despite my other 5'9 bridesmaids being told they didn't need it). It came in and she's swimming in 6" of additional length she paid $25 extra for, that now she has to pay to get hemmed. They told my 5'1, 95 pound sister in law she would need a size 8-- she's literally a 0-00 in most dresses and ended up ordering a 2 thankfully which fits great. DON'T BELIEVE THEIR SIZING! They want you to order WAY too big so you'll alter with them and pay them even more money! We didn't alter a single dress with them because they're so ridiculous.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
We dealt mostly with Courtney, who I honestly feel had no idea what was going on 90% of the time. She never could answer my questions, she struggled to work the credit card machine, she just generally appeared like she had no idea how to do her job and had this weird attitude that was somewhere between fake genuine/snotty. She failed to tell me until I was placing the order that the lace could only be ordered in 3 colors of which none matched So I had to start all over looking at another style, wasting another hour of my time.
Their deposit is the dress' cost minus $25-- JUST TO PLACE THE ORDER! I know these dresses are expensive and custom ordered but sheesh, $225 is a hefty "deposit."
I asked them to let me know when all the girls' dresses came in so that I could make sure they were all done in time. I never received a call. Instead, I called them and was told one of my girls "hadn't ordered her dress." In fact, she had called to order, gave them her measurements, and they neglected to inform her they couldn't order without paying the entire $225 deposit. WHAT KIND OF SALES ASSOCIATE DOES THIS? Obviously, if someone calls and gives measurements, they want to order the dress!
THEN, they tell me each girl has to sign a contract before ordering (which later was found apparently to not be true because one of my girls was never asked to sign any contract). My SIL lives 1,200 miles away, and because they never called me until I literally called them the week of Christmas, I couldn't wait for them to mail the contract to her, or else our dresses wouldn't be ordered in time. I asked them to e-mail it to her so it could be done faster.
They told me THEY DON'T HAVE A SCANNER. Yep, this is 2016 folks and they couldn't figure out how to scan and email a contract to my SIL. We had to FAX it to my MIL's workplace. How ridiculous!
PLACE
The place overall looks very cheap for the expense of the dresses. The dressing rooms are dated and have only a simply curtain that doesn't really shut all the way.
To top it off, when I checked out I stood there for 10 minutes while Courtney just ignored me and my bridal party of 6. After I finally got her attention and signed the pick-up form she said "Good luck on your wedding" in some weird snotty tone. Uh, Thanks?

ienced and kind woman, Jaquie, helped me find the perfect wedding gown. I cried happy tears as the reality sunk in... I found THE dress! The staff rushed to make sure that I wasn't unhappy and celebrated my joy with me. I felt like they cared about me inside and out. I could not have engeneered a more positive experience!
When my daughter tried on wedding dresses, the helper (found out she was the manager) was very patient and understood the style she liked. She was so helpful with bridesmaid dress ...
suggestions too. She knew the inventory of the store and listened to personal style very well. We returnedafew weeks later to order the bridesmaid dresses and had the privilege of workingwiththestore owner. Wow! She made what could have been a very mundane task so fun, and we soon learned that her expertise was outstanding and gleaned all we could from her. Compared to other stores (and we visited many!) this had personable service, great prices, and an excellent experience.
Rude. Pushy. Disrespectful. Would NOT recommend going here.
I left the salon in tears. Especially if you are a plus sized bride or even slightly above average size, I would avoid this place like the plague. I was going to call and complain ...
and realized the woman who was so rude and made such public comments about my weight was the owner. Would absolutely not recommend.
This was the third bridal salon I visited and the third time was definitely the charm. I worked with Jackie during my first visit and I felt like she was completely honest with me....
I had a certain style in mind and she picked out the dress for me that I ended up getting. She could tell what I wanted and was able to help me get the exact look I was going for. The ladies were also very patient when I took my bridesmaids to look at their dresses. Each visit I was treated like I was the only bride there. The personal attention and the attention to detail was really appreciated. They also let me use a loaner veil for my hair trial run so that I would not have to worry about anything happening to my veil. The prices were also very reasonable and well within my budget for my dress and veil. The seamstress that they have working out of the store seemed really high for the bridesmaid's dresses so you may want to look around before committing to their seamstress for dress alterations. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and absolutely love my dress and veil. I received so many compliments on the dress that I feel was made for me.

med. An older woman who worked there stated that my alterations were "simple and easy" and would only cost about "$90-no more than $120!" Paige agreed. I told them that I was getting married in NYC and would be leaving 7/31. I wanted to schedule an alt. appt. immediately - I was told not to worry since my wedding wasn't for a couple months and to call back in mid-June. When I arrived for my 1st alt. appt., I was kept waiting for 20 minutes. I was asked to go in the room by the alt. lady, Renee - and then left to my own devices. I had to ask the ladies at the desk if I was supposed to be getting dressed or what I should be doing. Renee was abrupt with me from the start and was not friendly. She asked about my timeline and I expressed to her that I would be leaving 7/31. Awkward silence. She never told me what she was doing, why she was doing it, or what all this random work was going to cost. After getting out of my dress by myself, I met her in the front area to pay her and schedule my next appt. Then came the best news - my alts. would cost $200. How could I possibly have known she was going to charge this much when everyone I had spoken with prior to this appt. had assured me it would be between $90-$120? I've already been fitted, $200 is fine. My 1st appt. was so awkward, stressful, and unwelcoming that I basically decided that I hated my dress - or hated the alt. lady, Renee. For my 2nd appt., I brought my mother, my brother's fiance, and my soon-to-be step-son, who is four years old - for support. Mom helped me into my dress and the bodice fit perfectly. I finally felt excited about my dress again - until Renee walked in. She was even more cold to me during this appt. She snapped at my step-son, "Who are you?!?" and was annoyed that my mother wanted me to try on some jewelry with my dress at the end of the appt. Once again, she was rude and silent, explained nothing, and made no effort to make me feel like a valued customer. Renee said that we could bustle my dress during the 1st appt. but not until it was properly hemmed. She pinned the hem/bustle during the 2nd appt. and had me schedule what I was led to believe was a final fitting/pick-up. Why did I assume this? Probably because she never actually communicated with me what it was she was doing or what my 3rd appt. would entail. If you're pinning something, I'm assuming you're going to have it done the next time I see you. I scheduled my next one and to my great surprise, my bill had increased again. The bustle had not been included in my last bill! I asked for a bustle the 1st time, you didn't charge me until this time? More money. $85 for a bustle (that looked terrible and did not work AT ALL the day of the wedding!). Next appt., I know the drill - go back there, put it on by yourself, just stand there during the awkward silence. Except this time, she's done NOTHING to my dress since the last time I saw it. And my train looked shorter, something I was adamant about her not touching. I'm getting on a plane in 48 hours. I do not have a finished dress. Thankfully, she had me pick it up Wednesday at 3PM the night before my flight and the hem looked shotty and the bustle never worked. Renee was unfortunate to deal with. I cannot recommend her services to anyone, ever. Suburban Bridal should know better.
Despite the countless poor reviews on this store, I had to go with them, as they were the only bridal store that had the bridesmaid color I wanted. The ladies in the store are very...
rude and unhelpful. They tack on additional costs for just about everything. The dressing rooms are very poor quality- a simple curtain that doesn't even close. I would avoid this business at all costs.

y carry it. They gave me a better price and along with finding my bridesmaids dresses there I figure it would be good since they would then get a discount. That was the last good thing that happened. After ordering my dress, I sent my bridesmaids in to get their measurements and order. Every single one of them received horrible service. The people were rude and not helpful at all. They were even so rude to one of my bridesmaids she decided not to be a bridesmaid anymore. They were not informed when it came to transferring her paid deposit to the new bridesmaid and didn't help with picking sizes at all. The only thing they would tell them was they can't help because if it is the wrong size they can't be held liable. So the girls, not knowing how the sizes of the dresses fit had to make their best guess. When the dresses came in none of the dresses fit and would not zip up. Come to find out "these dresses run really small." It would have been nice to tell us that when ordering their sizes. When going to pick up dresses, I called them to let them know we were on our way since they closed in 15 minutes, but I wanted to get them picked up because I was with some out of town bridesmaids. The lady I talked to on the phone was extremely rude stating they would not wait for us and if we came after closing time we were out of luck. She made no effort to be professional. When we did arrive (10 minutes to close) the entire staff stood and glared at us as we tried on the dresses and made the final payments. To make matters worse a couple weeks later they called my mother to let her know they lost a check she wrote to them and they wanted her to write another. Now onto the next problem. After picking up my dress I found out from another source that I was supposed to receive a free steam and press with my purchase. I called them immediately to take my dress in to get the steam and press. I was first told that since I picked up my dress I can no longer get the free steam and press. This upset me since I wasn't told about it from the beginning. So I asked to speak with the owner and left a voice mail. This was not returned for one week, so I called again and left another message. Finally after another week I heard from an employee stating they will make an exception for me, but they wont be able to finish in for two weeks. So by this time it was too late because I needed to complete the alterations in time for the wedding. They were terrible at returning calls and not accommodating at all, even though we spent a couple thousand dollars with them. Sadly I read bad reviews on them before my purchase and I did not listen. I regret this and I am recommending you take your services elsewhere if you do not want to be completely stressed about the dress.
Renee at Suburban Bridal was able to create a one of a kind bridal gown for myself. She was able to help me take my vision of my dress and make it a reality! Thank you so much!
I had no idea what I was looking for in a wedding dress. The wonderful ladies took care of me! They got a good idea of my personality and found the perfect dress for me! The seamst...
ress was fantastic by taking what I wanted and making it into something completely unique to me and my personaliity
This is where I started to look for my bridal party dresses. They were very helpful in satisfying the wants of the three ladies. We ordered that day. One was fully paid, the others...
put some money down. (At this point there was 9 months to the wedding, so no worries on time.) Two of the dresses were from a different manufacturer, so the one that was fully paid should have been cut and delivered as soon as their process works. I ended up paying for the other ladies dresses to get them cut, and they paid me back. Two months later, the time that I was told to wait for them to arrive, I called them and asked where the dresses were, and they couldn't tell me a straight answer. My MIL called a few times as well as I and when we compared stories, nothing was the same. I waited 8 months for the one dress that was paid on the day we ordered to come in. The most frustrating part is that I was told I could pick up the dress by a saleswoman *after* I had already signed off and picked it up. Sounds to me like they need to get their system on track and have some sort of uniformity in policy.
I chose this bridal salon because it was the only one in town that had the dress I fell in love with. I would not recommend them. They were never friendly over the phone or in pers...
on. The measured me wrong, ordered the dress too large and because of that I had to pay extra in alterations. Whenever I had an appointment reserved they were always running behind – every time. My wedding dress came in 3 weeks late and my bridesmaids dresses came in over 1.5 months late. This would have been a major problem if I didn’t have a little wiggle room. Once you take the dress from the store the will not allow it back it to get pressed. My dress was made poorly because 5 of my buttons fell off from me just sitting and standing! They even over charged me for my wedding dress and I had to argue to get some money back. If you want to limit stress and get a high quality product I DO NOT recommend Suburban Bridal. Not worth the headache or frustrations.
Very easy to work with. Sometimes employees seem aloof.
I don't know what all of the negative reviews are about. I found my wedding dress here and brought my bridesmaids shopping here. They were easy to work with and very helpful. I got...
a great deal on my dress and I had so many compliments on it.
I read many negative review on other sites, but decided why not try them out and see for ourselves. My mom and I shopped together and for the most part, my experience was fabulous!...
Lori is definitely who to ask for. She was incredibly nice, knowledgable, and made me feel very comfortable. She generated excitement with sincerity and was never pushy. She was honest about what cuts and shapes fit my body the best, and was open to anything I wanted to try on.
I found a favorite, but wanted to check out the other shops, so we made a follow up appointment for the following Saturday morning. They were much busier, but still made the time to let me try on my favorite and accessorize. WHile doing so, my mom started asking one lady who was available about alterations, as I wanted straps added. This person was incredibly knowledgeable, suggested so many different ideas about straps and other alterations, and basically helped us decide what all alterations I would do. It wasn't until my mom thanked her for her time and asked her name that we found out she was the owner!
It was very incredible to us that she took her time on that busy day to discuss something like adding straps. We could tell she very much takes pride in her work, and won't take any B.S., even from customers. I told her I would be writing a review about our fabulous time in the shop, and she looked me right in the eye and said, "you're not just saying that, are you. I can tell you're being sincere."
The downsides-
I live out of state, and made very clear to everyone we worked with that I would be traveling back for alterations and the alterations person needed to know I had a somewhat short timeframe for any follow up appts after the initial one. I was assured I wasn't asking anything too much, my alterations would be simple enough, and it wouldn't be a problem at all.
Unfortunately, the alterations person, Renee, was not given any of this information. To Renee I would give 5 stars for quality of her work, but zero stars for everything else. We explained on my first visit to her everything I wanted, (simple hem, some taking in, and with extra fabric, making the straps). Renee's personality was very dour, unpleasant, and closed down. She acted like we were all an imposition to her, and when we explained how we wanted the straps to look, she made a face and acted very doubtful about making it happen. We offered to ask the owner again (who gave us the idea in the first place, and said it had been done many times!) but she said no, she will make it happen. I was honestly very scared at this point that I would have a dress at all by the way Renee was talking to us and acting.
On my final visit, 5 days before the wedding, we went back for the final fitting. Renee had made beautiful straps, and we were so excited - except she forgot that we wanted them to criss-cross in the back. With some pushing from my mom, she tried them the way we wanted and they actually worked. Unfortunately this meant adding a few clasps. Renee said she'd have it done by friday. I said I was leaving town Wednesday, again was something we had gone over multiple times from the beginning. Renee did everything to get out of it, but in the end made it happen. This was Renee - fight everything, but do it in the end.
Overall, the shop was great. Great selection, staff, and (in the end) a great dress! Only thing I would ask is for real doors, not just a curtain for the dressing rooms!
Was very frustrated with this store, we were told bridesmaids dresses would take 3-4 months and we ordered them in December and didn't receive them till July and had only 2 weeks t...
o get them altered before my wedding. My sister's dress was not able to get a second fitting because of the time frame they allowed, which led to it not fitting well at the wedding and ripping before the reception :(. I would not advise anybody to use them or if you do get a guaranteed date of arrival or money back because their service was the number one cause of my stress for my wedding!
We went here almost as a last resort after not finding what I was looking for at 5 different places in Kansas City and the outlet in Wahoo, NE. We didn't have an appointment like y...
ou're supposed to, but they allowed us to look at the dresses. When one of their associates became available, they let us start a fitting room with the dresses we had pulled off the racks. I ended up finding exactly what I had been looking for and knew I wanted! It was very expensive, unfortunately, and even though it was just under 6 months before my wedding, we had to put a rush on the dress and veil for an extra $80. Since it came in just a month before the wedding (which was on schedule even with the rush), I decided to go with their alterations in the store. Renee did a fantastic job with the lace alterations. The bustle was pretty tricky with the lace (and the dress was designed so that the inner satin part of the train didn't go as long as the outer lace layer of the train), and at our reception it came undone when I sat down. It worked out ok, though, since the train wasn't too long to begin with. Overall I would recommend Suburban Bridals.
