Sue and team cannot receive enough stars. We hired Sue way late in the planning game. I had planned almost everything myself up to that point. I am a very OCD person and hate to relinquish control but from the first call, she had so many things figured out that I never would have thought of. She took charge and I didn't hear much until the day of. Like magic, not a missed beat. I was stressing like mad that something would not be lined up or correct but Sue and team were 20 steps ahead of each thing, had every vendor lined up, music and dances to a tee, photography planned out, it was amazing to watch. I simply cannot think Sue enough. Her team has an in-depth intake process that allowed them to truly be in the know of everything and had worked so hard behind the scenes without me knowing. Their hard work was evident on the wedding day. Everything was not only to my standard, but 10 steps above. We had a vision of how we wanted the day to be, and through her years of experience, Sue took that and blew it out of the water. For her expertise and work, Sue is extremely fair in pricing as well. We would reccomend Sue to anyone in the DFW area. Thank you again!!!

Thanks to Sue my wedding day was everything I dreamed of. Sue is very detailed. She asked all the right questions and helped me make decisions all the way through. I hired her for full service, so she helped me find all my vendors. I only looked at 3 venues with her, and I knew the minute I saw my venue that it was "the one". All my vendors were great to work with. Easy, efficient and great at their job. Sue has some great contacts in town. The day of the wedding it was a dream. Sue also made sure that me and my husband had some special time together. She served us our dinner that we provided for our guests, but it was just the two of us in a room by ourselves. It was such a special magical day thanks to Sue.
Sue and Brittney were really fantastic to work with! You can tell they have a lot of experience. From my first call with Sue she asked me lots of questions, and I knew she was my planner. She always communicated with me, either by phone or text or email. I never had to wait long for an answer. The day of the wedding the two of them were on point and made sure neither me or my mom had to worry about anything. I would hire her again, but I'm only getting married once!

Sue made the event like working with a professional that is your sister. She gave all the right advice and went with the personality of who she’s working with. She even gave you opportunity to see what you think you want compared to what might be better which makes you feel very good about the decision you come to on all of your vendors. We used Sue’s partial planning service, and it was well worth the money. She helped us choose our most important vendors, and it was nice to know she had worked with them all before. She was SO helpful on the wedding day, and took over everything. It allowed me, my husband, and our parents to truly enjoy the day knowing she had it all handled.

Hiring Sue was the best decision I made for my wedding, aside from marrying my husband.
I went with Sue initially because she responded quickly, actually spoke to me on the phone, and appeared extremely professional.
When the big day came, I can’t imagine not having her there. She worked hard to make our day run smooth, communicate with the vendors, and make things happen that simply wouldn’t have gotten done if we were left to do it on our own. Hiring a wedding planner IS worth it, and Sue is the best.

Buckle in as this will be a long one. My biggest thing going into this wedding was to have a person to help direct me and my now husband to what's best, including but not limited to vendors, ideas, decor, etc. I made it clear I did not want a best friend. Sue delivered on almost everything! She helped us pick out a majority of our wedding vendors and organization of the wedding. She was very considerate with our family dynamics. A complaint I had was she always called me the wrong name- even on our contract she would put my name wrong. I also noticed she would not answer any of my now husband's questions or contact him back when he reached out to her which happened at least 3 times. She really did not reach out to us until the time crunch of 3 months out to the wedding. I felt that from the time we hired her, around August 2021, to July 2022, we had maybe one or two conversations. I felt we were on the back burner and I had to think of things like table decorations on my own without her help. Overall, I feel she did a good job in directing our wedding flow and helping us find good vendors, but lacked in meeting the smaller details ahead of time. I think Sue is very knowledgeable, helpful and can be a great addition to your wedding team. I'd give 4.5 stars if able, but since it's only 4 or 5 solid stars, I'm going with 4.

I really enjoyed working with you for your wedding! Regarding communication, we did communicate by email or text every month (except February). When I was unable to get a response, your mom did reach out and I was able to coordinate with her....
For a year prior to the wedding, your mom and I fine-tuned all the details, so that your wedding day went off without a hitch. I really enjoyed your mom, Denise. I do apologize for calling you Laura, and not Lauren. I had a Laura as a bride during the same time, and this was very embarrassing for me. Regarding not responding to your husband, I am not aware this was an issue. I thought you had a gorgeous wedding and was honored that you choose me to help. Wishing you and your husband the best in this new journey in your life together!
Sue was amazing! She kept everything on track from engagement announcement through the Big Day. She handled any hiccup without the Bride's family feeling stressed. Definitely hire Sue for a consumatte professional!

It was very important to us that our daughter’s wedding and reception adhere to a specific timeline and Sue ensured that happened. She is extremely resourceful and helped us with booking hotel room blocks and transportation for the bridal party and wedding guests. We could not have been happier with how the day went! We originally planned to interview a few of planners before choosing one but after our first call with Sue, we knew she was the one. Sue was extremely helpful in getting us organized well ahead of our big day and was prompt/responsive when we texted/emailed. We were both a bit nervous for the rehearsal dinner and Sue handled both of our families well. During our day of, we were very stress-free and at ease due to Sue being so attentive. We never worried about the timeline and she was able to pivot based on the needs of us and our guests. If you're looking for a fantastic wedding planner, we HIGHLY recommend Sue and her crew. We can't thank her enough for taking the stress off so we could focus on being in the moment!

Before the wedding Sue was very detailed and helped us plan our wedding during the pandemic. However on the day of the wedding there were several times when we felt the instructions for how the ceremony was supposed to go we’re not followed by Sue. Our primary reason for hiring a day of coordinator was to take stress off of us (bride and groom), and we were asked several questions day of that we had discussed with her before the wedding. There also was a lack of understanding of technology that the venue had, which should have been simple (ie, Bluetooth and Spotify).
At the end of it all, we are glad that Sue was there and glad that we had a day of coordinator.

never been asked to play music before during a wedding ceremony. I was asked to play "DJ". But in the middle of a pandemic, I tried to go above and beyond our couples expectations. So I agreed to play your ceremony music from an iPhone your bridesmaid had, and utilizing the venue’s sound system. I should not have agreed to do this, as of course, we had a problem with the music. I had tested the phone several times before the ceremony, and it worked just fine. When we started the wedding party down the aisle, the playlist played the song. But when it came to change the song for you, the bride, to walk down the aisle, the phone did not work. I went back inside the building and tried to get the phone to work, but to no avail. I then handed you the phone, saying it was not working. While you were standing there with your dad, you also tried to get the phone to work. But again, to no avail. You tried for about 2-3 minutes to make the phone work, but the Bluetooth simply was not pairing with the system. I’m so sorry about this. It was awful that you had to walk down the aisle to no music, and we felt terrible. Regarding us not following instructions for the ceremony, we are not really sure what you are referring to. You and I spent two hours together prior to the wedding, doing your timeline, and you checked off that everything was in order regarding the timeline. We followed the timeline to a tee, and kept you on schedule almost to the minute. On the day of the wedding, we did ask you a couple of questions: Can we place the bridal portrait, and where the sparklers were for the exit. However, we were told that everything was taken care of, as you had delegated everything to your team of bridesmaids. We felt very underutilized on the day of the wedding, as we felt there was not much for us to do. Shelby, I wish you nothing but happiness with your husband. You two are darling together, and I wish I could have given you a perfect day.
Sue Kelson Events did a great job for my wedding! Sue and Brittney were so fantastic on my wedding day, I could not have asked for better service. Sue did a timeline for my wedding which was wonderful, but better yet, she kept us on time. I did not want to worry about if it's time to cut the cake or when I should dance with my dad. Sue laid that all out for me. And during the night she would come up to me and say, "Its time to cut the cake." So all my worries went out the window. My mom really enjoyed her also, because my mom could really relax and just enjoy the party. It was a wonderful decision hiring a wedding planner for my wedding day.

Sue was amazing! I think the best decision I made for my wedding was to hire her and her planning services. She did a great job of hiring all my vendors, which worked well with me and my budget. Sue Kelson Events did an outstanding job for my wedding. I was planning from out of state, so she was an invaluable resource to me. She found all my vendors (which were great, and in my budget) and she made the whole process worry free. When you plan from out of state, you never know who will be good or not. But Sue was able to plow through all that nonsense and find the best team for me. I came into town a few times, and we have a very big meeting where she built my "timeline." This was great because I knew what should happen and approx. what time it should happen. Not that I really needed to know, as on the wedding day Sue would come up to me and whisper in my ear, it's time to cut the cake, or it's time to dance with your dad. It was wonderful. My parents also really enjoyed her, and they only met her the day before the wedding. But she treated my parents like a King and Queen on my dad, which I loved. If I had to do it all over again, I would hire Sue in a New York minute!

Sue Kelson is the best at what she does which is plan weddings. My fiance and I hired her to be our full service planner, and we were so pleased. She found our venue, (no easy feat) all our vendors and did so many other things for us. She handled our RSVP's which was nice - every other day I came home to an email with an update from her. Sweet! On the wedding day itself, Sue and her lead planner were fantastic! She helped me choose my music, which was perfect for our ceremony. She helped to organize 20 people in the wedding party, and to keep my mom sane! Once we got to the reception, Sue and Brittney got us a drink, and then served us dinner before we went into the reception room - which I thought was so smart. Once in the room my husband and I could walk from table to table to say hi, when everyone was eating. It was perfect. Sue cut my wedding cake, and made sure we had cake with us when we left. It was just a perfect day, and I can't thank her enough.

Sue was my best friend and girl Friday for my wedding a few months ago. I found her to be very competent, reliable, down to earth, and had wonderful vendor recommendations! She executed everything perfectly on my day, and my husband and I were very pleased. She even sewed me into my dress, when the hook and eye at the top of my gown had come undone! I really don't think I could have gotten through my day without Sue. She made everything magical.

Sue Kelson and her team did an outstanding job for my wedding! I hired her for full service planning, and she took over from the very beginning. Let's just say she is organized! We went and looked at three venues, and I think she got into my head, as all three were exactly what I was envisioning. She helped me choose my florist, who was not only amazing, but within our budget. From the caterer to the photographer, Sue is hooked up in this town! I know I could not have had a nice wedding with such great vendors if I had not hired Sue. On the day of my wedding she was there for me and my mom, and we wanted for nothing. She greeted us with a drink of our choice when we entered the reception, (and also for my mom and dad), and made sure the day went perfect. I can not say enough good things about her. And her assistant Brittney was amazing too! This team has it all. Hire her!

My wedding was small compared to most, just 75 people, but all of the same vendors and elements were present so I knew I was going to need help. I settled on Sue Kelson Events with the month of package and I'm so glad that I did. She was amazing from beginning to end. She was quick to respond throughout the day with advice, ideas, suggestions and assurance that though this process isnt easy, I'd get through it and have a wonderful wedding in the end. Brittney was of course right about that. If you are unsure if a wedding planner/coordinator is necessary, let say that in my opinion they make a huge difference in your level of stress and the overall outcome of the wedding. I highly reccommend you work with Brittney for your wedding , she is worth every penny!

I cannot recommend Sue and her team enough! They are organized, knowledgable, and supportive during a stressful time. If you're a type A personality like me, having a wedding planner is an absolute must. Sue is the reason I survived our 1.5 year engagement and getting married in a city we had just moved too. We used Sue Kelson Events for our daughter’s wedding in July and can’t say enough great things about the entire experience. She provided great advice and guidance throughout without being overbearing. As out of town parents of the bride we were able to relax and enjoy the wedding while Sue and her staff worked diligently behind the scenes making sure every detail was tended to. Many of our guests commented on how smoothly everything went and how lovely the wedding was. She went to extra lengths to make sure the needs of the bride and groom were tended to before and after the wedding so they wouldn’t be overwhelmed by the whole experience and were able to visit with and enjoy their wedding guests.
The Nest at Ruth Farms was an excellent venue, and Gyros String Quartet did a wonderful job in setting the mood for the ceremony. The food and service by Wendy Krispin Catering was exquisite, the flowers by A&L Floral Design were gorgeous. Fancy Cakes by Lauren did a beyond amazing job on the wedding and groom cakes, and K&S photography did a fantastic job from engagement, bridal, and wedding day pictures! A special shout out to Classic B Carriages for providing a fairy tale ending to a fairy tale wedding! All of our vendors did a great job and we couldn’t have done any of it without Sue’s expertise and recommendations.

I hired Sue to help me plan my wedding in Fort Worth last April. I am kind of a control freak so I knew that I could do the heavy lifting with the wedding planning, but I did not want to worry about anything the month of the wedding. Sue offers the Tulip package which is her Month of Planning package, and that was perfect for me. She also gave excellent vendor recommendations, wedding etiquette advice, and answered all my questions from the moment I booked her to my wedding day. She made sure all my vendors arrived on time, knew exactly what they should be doing and when they should do it. Sue made sure that everything went smoothly for my wedding and put my nerves at ease so I could enjoy my wedding day. Sue is a saint! She put up with me, my mother, and my MOH lol!! She had a lot of personalities to juggle and did it effortlessly! Sue goes above and beyond to make sure her brides are comfortable and is truly an overachiever. The crazy part - I was planning my wedding in Texas all the way from LA and never met Sue in person until the day before the wedding! She was always a phone call away even on the weekends and she lined up the best vendors for my big day. Everything was gorgeous!
There was a lot of rain that wedding week and Sue was on top of everything and prepped a Plan B. In the end, we did have rain that delayed the outdoor ceremony but Sue still managed to organize everything/everyone and made sure my dream wedding happened outside like I wanted. No need for plan B! She just worked her magic and got the show back on the road the second the rain stopped.
I would recommend Sue to anyone because she really does go out of her way to please her brides and their families! I had a great time planning my wedding with her and I wish her all the best!

Initially, my wife and I weren't sure if we wanted to hire a wedding planner. We had already chosen our vendors, venue, etc., so how much more was there to do, right? So so so wrong. After talking about it, we decided it was worth the expense if we had someone take care of details the day of our wedding so we wouldn't have to. That was THE BEST thing we did for ourselves.
Sue was the integral reason our wedding was as amazing as it was. Prior to the wedding, she spent a lot of time and effort getting to know us and the details we wanted for the wedding. She brought up questions and details we hadn't yet considered. At the rehearsal she made sure everyone knew what their role in the ceremony would be. And the day of the wedding? My gosh, she is a boss! She handled all the vendors, guests, and timeline so my wife and I didn't have to think about anything except enjoying ourselves. We hired a caricature artist for the guests, and Sue even made sure to gather us from wherever we were to ensure we got our portrait time with him. The evening was blissful and 100% enjoyable. As far as we knew, everything went according to plan. Which I think is representative of Sue's talents, as nothing ever goes according to plan, lol. She handled everything so we didn't have to even think about.
My wife and I had a perfect wedding and a perfect night, and I know that was due in large part to Sue. She is a caring and hardworking woman who I'm so so so glad we had with us on that night.

We hired Sue as our day-of planner and she did a fantastic job helping us coordinate on our big day. Prior to, she gave us a very helpful checklist and worksheet that helped us keep track of all the small details as we did our own planning. And then when the day came, Sue and her assistant Brittney were very well organized and were helpful all night. Sue even helped bustle my wife's dress after the ceremony, and when one of the bustles popped off, Sue popped open her emergency kit and sewed it back on! I'm not sure what we would have done if she was not so prepared and skilled. Sue and Brittney had ear pieces that allowed them to speak with each-other and coordinate from different rooms. They were both very helpful and sweet, and we'd gladly recommend Sue Kelson's services.

I hired Sue to help us during the last month of planning. She met with us prior to the wedding where she outlined a very detailed timeline for my daughter's wedding day. It was very helpful! We picked the Tulip Package, but I feel that she gave us more than we asked for. To start with, Sue told us we would need a long meeting to get all the details down. She said it would take about 3 hours. I thought, "what could we possibly talk about for 3 hours?" Well, it took about 5 hours -haha! We talked about so many details, many of which I never would have thought about! And it brought up other things that I needed to check on and get marked off my to-do list. She was very patient, and walked me and my parents through the whole day. On my wedding day, she helped with things like helping to organize my family for the group pictures - which is not easy, as my family is very large! The day went just as planned, and I did not feel stressed, which was very important to me. We were also worried about our DJ, but Sue talked with him before the wedding, so I felt much better. On the day of my wedding, he forgot his timeline, but it was not a problem, because Sue just gave him her timeline. On top of everything else, Sue and her assistant helped my parents load the car with all our gifts and things we brought. My parents were so tired, this was really helpful. I would recommend her to anyone needing a planner. She really made my day perfect!

I used Sue as my month of planner, but I feel she gave me a lot more! We had some problems with a vendor, and Sue went above and beyond to remedy the problems, and even helped us get a refund. She was very organized, always answered my e-mails and calls in a timely manner, and was very helpful overall. She paid special attention to my mother, who is elderly, and made sure she had everything she needed. Sue made my wedding day very stress free.

My husband and I hired Sue just a couple of weeks out from the wedding. Although my daughter had done most of the work, I wanted to make sure that neither she nor I needed to worry about anything on her wedding day. Sue had done a couple of events for us before with birthday parties, so I felt very comfortable bringing her in at the last minute. We had a few hiccups with the vendors, but I did not even know of the problems until after the wedding, when Sue called to tell me I would be getting a discount from a couple of vendors. So as I understand, she and her assistant put out a few fires on the wedding day. But I got my wish, as I did not have to worry. It was a lovely day for my daughter and her new husband, and our entire family. Sue allowed us to enjoy the big day!

Where do I begin? Sue was an absolute God-send. We could not have done it without her! Sue's been in the business for so long that she knows everyone, which was great for us. As you know, the choices for everything can be overwhelming. Sue got to know us and our tastes and then would tailor the selection of vendors to 1-3 for us to meet with. Of course, everyone of the vendors she chose for us to meet with was fabulous; so, that it was a mixed blessing :-). But, she was absolutely spot-on with every vendor she brought us. We would immediately "hit it off" with one of the choices she put in front of us and were very satisfied with all of the choices we made.
Another thing to know about Sue is she is in attendance at everything and documenting everything. She was always able to negotiate better rates on everything than we could have done ourselves (THANKS SUE!). She had a lot of great ideas and kept us on schedule, on task, and (most importantly) on budget! She was on top of everything throughout the entire process. And, if that wasn't enough, she prepared the most wonderful gift basket for us to take with us back to hotel so that we had a little "something" just for us to enjoy.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Sue. If you doubt the value of a wedding planner, doubt no more. Sue was worth every penny (and then some). For the two of us (both full time jobs), it would have been impossible to pull this off without her help.

Sue and her assistant were fantastic. I did the 'day of' package - and Sue went above and beyond my expectations. Nearly a month before the wedding she started pulling together all the lose strings of the wedding and driving for organization. On top of that - she provided great advice for the inevitable wedding stress and drama. The day of she executed the plans flawlessly. Even with all the planning, small unforeseeable things pop up (like a dress button popping off, the wedding guest book pen not working, an impromptu speech at the reception) and she managed them so quickly I wasn't able to let the chaos sink in and freak out. I was 100% comfortable around both of them - which is very important. She allowed me to have unforgettable wedding memories and enjoy every moment of the night.
Fast forward a few months and I find out that my wedding videographer went bankrupt and I still haven't received my footage. Sue immediately responded to my request and went above and beyond her role as my day of coordinator. She is so well connected in the Dallas wedding scene, she was easily able to get me some more answers. Sue followed up with the frantic aftermath (I received the footage - raw, uncut) and exceeded her duties as my day of coordinator.

Sue and her assistant were great! For the last 2 months of my planning, I relied on her quite a bit. The day of the wedding they were amazing - always available and in sight. She sewed on buttons - both on one of the groomsmen and for one of my flower girls. She helped coordinated at the chapel, even though our chapel had a lady that did this. At the reception, she reminded me of when to cut my cake, when to toast, and all the dances. At the end of the night she packed up everything and loaded it in my parents and in-laws cars. It was really nice to have both her and her assistant, as I did not have to worry, and neither did my mom. I will recommend her to anyone getting married!

Sue Kelson went above and beyond to make sure our daughter had a memorable day at her wedding and she delivered with elegance ,class and smile at all time.
When we fired the florist ten days before the wedding , Sue got a new florist in 24 hours.

The best decision I made was to hire Sue! The entire planning process was stress free and fun. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her wedding day and my husband and I were able to enjoy the special moments with our family and friends.

My Daughter & her now, new husband live in Dallas--I do not. So when they decided to get married, in Dallas, I knew we would need professional help from someone who knew the area and the marketplace. I searched for wedding planners on line-which was a little scary in itself. I started with the reviews, then called the var ious planners, then had my daughter and her then fiancé meet with them. We discussed their meetings and chose Sue. So glad!! From the very beginning Sue had a plan. She first got to know my daughter and son-in-law, what they were like and what they wanted their wedding day to be. We discussed budget, of course, and then she went to work. I could not have done this from out of town nor could my daughter have found the vendors & pricing that Sue was able to. She found the perfect reception venue for them in no time at all. She was completely organized & professional, and had great contacts/vendors & ideas. She did her best to keep us in budget and even though we went slightly over (by about her fee) I believe by using her, we saved at least that much and had a much nicer experience,( the day of and the months before planning-MUCH less stressful-in fact, easy!) than had we not used her!!
Also, since I could not be there for many of the pre-wedding planning events, I went for dress selection but couldn't make the first fitting :-( but Sue filled in for me--kind of a mom substitute. She shared those special moments with my daughter, took pictures and videos and shared them with me. I am very grateful for that!

I only had two months to prepare for my wedding. The limited time and being pregnant made me feel overwhelmed. My husband and I were not sure if we could make it within a certain budget in two months. However, we were lucky to find Sue to help us. Her professional experience and resources gave us lots of confidence and saved our time and efforts. We appreciate all her help to make our wedding so smooth and perfect. It is my wisest decision to have her as my wedding planner!

When I came here (theknot.com) to do a research on what I thought it was a good wedding planner, I did not know what I got myself into!
When I went to meet Mrs. Sue and Mrs. Beverly I was so scared, I did not know what to think or where to start. But, for my surprise they started asking us questions about our big day and everything went smoothly. They understood what we wanted and worked from there to make a VERY special and beautiful event. Mrs. Sue is very detailed oriented, and she would not let anything pass by without her noticing (and I mean ANY THING!!!) She is very fun to hangout with too! She will be there, by your side in every meeting to make sure everything is what you want.
Overall I had a very very special day thanks to Sue Kelson Events! I cannot thank you enough for your work, your PATIENCE, and your time! HANDS DOWN THEY ARE THE BEST OUT THERE!
