Where do I begin? Sue was an absolute God-send. We could not have done it without her! Sue's been in the business for so long that she knows everyone, which was great for us. As you know, the choices for everything can be overwhelming. Sue got to know us and our tastes and then would tailor the selection of vendors to 1-3 for us to meet with. Of course, everyone of the vendors she chose for us to meet with was fabulous; so, that it was a mixed blessing :-). But, she was absolutely spot-on with every vendor she brought us. We would immediately "hit it off" with one of the choices she put in front of us and were very satisfied with all of the choices we made. Another thing to know about Sue is she is in attendance at everything and documenting everything. She was always able to negotiate better rates on everything than we could have done ourselves (THANKS SUE!). She had a lot of great ideas and kept us on schedule, on task, and (most importantly) on budget! She was on top of everything throughout the entire process. And, if that wasn't enough, she prepared the most wonderful gift basket for us to take with us back to hotel so that we had a little "something" just for us to enjoy. I can't say enough wonderful things about Sue. If you doubt the value of a wedding planner, doubt no more. Sue was worth every penny (and then some). We had the pleasure of working with Sue Kelson Events to plan our September 2016 wedding. The vision for your wedding was a little "out of the box," and might have been a little challenging for the average planner, however, Sue was outstanding in every respect. Sue delightfully worked with, not just one, but two brides, who were marrying after a 16 year engagement! She guided us through the entire process, always bringing her upbeat and positive energy, taking extra time to meet with us and help us think through and plan every detail of our big day. Looking back, we would not have changed one thing. My daughter and I were so fortunate to have Sue as our wedding planner for her special day. Sue is an absolute perfectionist down to the smallest detail. She planned a wedding beyond our wildest dreams. There was never one moment of stress during this process, it was truly a joy each step of the way. I met with several wedding coordinators throughout the wedding planning process, but from the moment I met with Amanda I knew I wanted her by my side for our special day. She is organized, experienced, funny and caring and I knew I would not be disappointed in hiring her. We picked the Tulip Package with Sue. The package included creating a timeline and day of coordination. We enjoyed how detailed oriented Sue was and her wealth of experience. She took time to understand our vision and what was important to us for our wedding. She was very professional and quick to respond to emails. The day of our wedding the timeline was executed perfectly and Sue and her assistant handled everything for us. Thank you Sue!
We hired Sue as our day-of planner and she did a fantastic job helping us coordinate on our big day. Prior to, she gave us a very helpful checklist and worksheet that helped us keep track of all the small details as we did our own planning. And then when the day came, Sue and her assistant Brittney were very well organized and were helpful all night. Sue even helped bustle my wife's dress after the ceremony, and when one of the bustles popped off, Sue popped open her emergency kit and sewed it back on! I'm not sure what we would have done if she was not so prepared and skilled. Sue and Brittney had ear pieces that allowed them to speak with each-other and coordinate from different rooms. They were both very helpful and sweet, and we'd gladly recommend Sue Kelson's services.

Hiring Sue to be our Day of wedding planner was the BEST wedding investment we made!! I feel like we absolutely couldn’t have done it without her. Me and my husband together had a wedding party of 22 and everything went literally perfect. She went far beyond our expectations, anytime I needed advice she was always there to help me make the best decisions. I would recommend her to anyone. You will be so happy you choose her!!
I hired Sue to help us during the last month of planning. She met with us prior to the wedding where she outlined a very detailed timeline for my daughter's wedding day. It was very helpful! The day of the wedding, Sue and her assistant were the extra pair of hands I needed - so I, as the Mother of the Bride, did not have to worry about any little detail. Sue kept us on track throughout the day. She also made sure I did not miss anything important, such as the cake cutting, and the dances. I hope to hire her again when my next daughter gets married!
We picked the Tulip Package, but I feel that she gave us more than we asked for. To start with, Sue told us we would need a long meeting to get all the details down. She said it would take about 3 hours. I thought, "what could we possibly talk about for 3 hours?" Well, it took about 5 hours -haha! We talked about so many details, many of which I never would have thought about! And it brought up other things that I needed to check on and get marked off my to-do list. She was very patient, and walked me and my parents through the whole day. On my wedding day, she helped with things like helping to organize my family for the group pictures - which is not easy, as my family is very large! The day went just as planned, and I did not feel stressed, which was very important to me. We were also worried about our DJ, but Sue talked with him before the wedding, so I felt much better. On the day of my wedding, he forgot his timeline, but it was not a problem, because Sue just gave him her timeline. On top of everything else, Sue and her assistant helped my parents load the car with all our gifts and things we brought. My parents were so tired, this was really helpful. I would recommend her to anyone needing a planner. She really made my day perfect!
The best part was the basket of food she made for me and my wife! It had cake, champagne, cheese and crackers, and lots of fruit. I was so hungry, that we really enjoyed it. Sue did a great job!
I used Sue as my month of planner, but I feel she gave me a lot more! We had some problems with a vendor, and Sue went above and beyond to remedy the problems, and even helped us get a refund. She was very organized, always answered my e-mails and calls in a timely manner, and was very helpful overall. She paid special attention to my mother, who is elderly, and made sure she had everything she needed. Sue made my wedding day very stress free.
Sue was wonderful to work with! She was extremely helpful with budgets at the venue, provided excellent vendor recommendations and always had multiple solutions to a problem. We loved having Sue on our side and her guidance was much appreciated. The weekend of the wedding she was magical at making sure all the family felt welcomed plus keeping us on schedule at the rehearsal and the wedding.
Sue and her team were great and really played a big role in the success of our day. We used the mini tulip package and it was perfect for our needs.
My husband and I hired Sue just a couple of weeks out from the wedding. Although my daughter had done most of the work, I wanted to make sure that neither she nor I needed to worry about anything on her wedding day. Sue had done a couple of events for us before with birthday parties, so I felt very comfortable bringing her in at the last minute. We had a few hiccups with the vendors, but I did not even know of the problems until after the wedding, when Sue called to tell me I would be getting a discount from a couple of vendors. So as I understand, she and her assistant put out a few fires on the wedding day. But I got my wish, as I did not have to worry. It was a lovely day for my daughter and her new husband, and our entire family. Sue allowed us to enjoy the big day!
Two words - Hire her! My wedding was wonderful. I did not have any stress or any worries, and that was because of Sue . She and her assistant did a wonderful job coordinating my wedding day. They were fantastic!
Sue and her assistant were fantastic. I did the 'day of' package - and Sue went above and beyond my expectations. Nearly a month before the wedding she started pulling together all the lose strings of the wedding and driving for organization. On top of that - she provided great advice for the inevitable wedding stress and drama. The day of she executed the plans flawlessly. Even with all the planning, small unforeseeable things pop up (like a dress button popping off, the wedding guest book pen not working, an impromptu speech at the reception) and she managed them so quickly I wasn't able to let the chaos sink in and freak out. I was 100% comfortable around both of them - which is very important. She allowed me to have unforgettable wedding memories and enjoy every moment of the night. Fast forward a few months and I find out that my wedding videographer went bankrupt and I still haven't received my footage. Sue immediately responded to my request and went above and beyond her role as my day of coordinator. She is so well connected in the Dallas wedding scene, she was easily able to get me some more answers. Sue followed up with the frantic aftermath (I received the footage - raw, uncut) and exceeded her duties as my day of coordinator. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Sue and her assistant were great! For the last 2 months of my planning, I relied on her quite a bit. The day of the wedding they were amazing - always available and in sight. She sewed on buttons - both on one of the groomsmen and for one of my flower girls. She helped coordinated at the chapel, even though our chapel had a lady that did this. At the reception, she reminded me of when to cut my cake, when to toast, and all the dances. At the end of the night she packed up everything and loaded it in my parents and in-laws cars. It was really nice to have both her and her assistant, as I did not have to worry, and neither did my mom. I will recommend her to anyone getting married!
Thanks to Sue and her assistant, I did not have one worry on my wedding day. They were my coordinators for the last month, and it was perfect. I could not have gotten through the day without them!

Sue’s knowledge of the wedding industry, her wide span of connections, coupled with her outstanding reputation in the area enabled the bride and groom’s wedding to be a truly memorable occasion. I can't say thank you enough times for the amazing job that Sue and her assistant did on my wedding day! From day one Sue not only made me feel like my vision was a possibility but helped to make it a reality all the way down to the smallest details (that I had either completely forgotten about or didn't even know existed). My wedding day was by far one of the best most stress free days of my life and I owe Sue for that!

I had the wonderful opportunity to use Sue Kelson Events for my aons wedding. I would highly recommend them for any event you are planning. From etiquette, design, menu planning and timelines, Sue says the entire process is fun, and is a gift to be included on such an important day. Weddings can be stressful and emotional, but if you leave the numerous details to the professionals, then you can relax and enjoy your wedding. Sue Kelson graduated with a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Hilton College at the University of Houston, and is a Certified Wedding Specialist.
