Sun Valley is a wedding venue located in Chagrin Falls, OH. This elegant space features 25 acres of pristine woodland where you and your new spouse can celebrate your love surrounded by your nearest and dearest. The staff strives to create a relaxed, sophisticated environment that is ideal for romance. At only a 40 minute drive from Cleveland, this venue has the convenience of the city and the natural beauty of a rural destination.
This venue is operated by the dream team of wedding professionals. Scott Jones, Jennifer Hartman, and Melissa Lopez each come from a background in music, event planning, and photography, respectively. They shared the dream of running a venue and purchased the suburban haven, Sun Valley. With over 50 years of combined experience in the wedding industry, the team brings a diverse set of skills to make your planning journey as seamless as possible. The three owners have created an elegant destination where couples and their guests can enjoy the celebration in peace and tranquility. Upon purchasing the venue, the owners began extensive renovations on the property’s interior spaces including the banquet hall and dressing room. The hall has been brought up to date and features bright, modern interior design.
The property’s expansive acreage of lush gardens and forests set it apart from other urban venues. Newlyweds are treated to endless photo opportunities in the gazebo, beside the two ponds, or in the shade of the property’s many trees. Idyllic ceremonies are held on the lawn looking out across the ponds. The space is located close to the main building so that guests can retire to the cocktail lounge after the vows are exchanged. Inside, the open-plan function rooms are spacious and airy, perfect for dining and dancing. Minimalist decor is ideal for couples who want to personalize the venue with their color theme and florals. A glam suite inside the building is convenient for the wedding party and features bright lighting and large mirrors.
Sun Valley’s owners welcome weddings both large and small here. The venue can accommodate tremendous extravaganzas of up to 350 attendees with a rental of the dining room and cocktail lounge. Alternatively, intimate celebrations of 50 are ideal for the outdoor terrace space, and events of 100 suit the cocktail lounge. Couples and their guests will have exclusive access to the venue, ensuring the utmost privacy for their special day. The venue has a carefully selected list of preferred vendors available for those planning to marry here, and couples have their choice of one of three approved caterers.
We are the three owners of Sun Valley! We have been in and out of so many event venues, and have a unique perspective on what works (and what doesn’t) for the couples, caterers and vendors alike. We wanted to put all of that knowledge into building and operating the perfect venue. I couldn’t be happier with my experience working with Sun Valley! We had our wedding at Sun Valley on 11-08-25 and the entire experience was so amazing. Throughout the planning process, they were very easy to communicate with and accommodated all of our wants and needs. I liked how Sun Valley works with their preferred caterers, we personally chose A Taste of Excellence and they worked seamlessly alongside the Sun Valley team. Everything was on schedule down to the minute dinner was served and the minute we did speeches and cut the cake. Also, the space is just gorgeous for a wedding. There are two spacious rooms, we utilized one for cocktail hour and one for dancing/dinner, and there is a gorgeous outdoor area with a gazebo, pond, an outdoor patio and plenty of parking. The venue is tucked away in the woods. Even though we got married in November with minimal leaves on the trees, it was still gorgeous outside. Lastly the bridal suite and bathrooms were gorgeous and clean as well. Overall, we wouldn’t be happier with how everything went and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone planning their wedding!

Sun Valley was a wonderful venue for our wedding! They were easy to work with and were quick and helpful in answering all my questions throughout the planning process! I was overall very pleased with the communication which was important to me when choosing a venue. The outdoor space is such a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony and the indoor space made for a cozy yet elegant reception! Our guests had a great time and I have no regrets going with Sun Valley :)

My wife and I recently got married here, and it was nothing short of perfect. We did a handful of things ourselves, and Hallie and Jennifer were so helpful, kind, and easy to work with! They were incredibly responsive to my many questions all throughout the process. We didn’t hire a planner, and the folks at Sun Valley still made sure the event went off without a hitch. It’s a beautiful, clean, accessible venue, and all of our guests commented on how nice it was. On top of that, it was a really relaxing environment to get ready in that morning. AND Sun Valley is significantly more affordable than other places we looked. Wedding expenses can be stressful, but we never felt like we were being taken advantage of with this venue. Overall, it was a great choice.

We absolutely loved this venue! We got married on a Friday in June which was cheaper than a Saturday wedding and it honestly turned out even better than we could’ve thought. They allowed us to decorate the venue the day before and they were very accommodating to what we were looking for. The space is beautiful. The only thing to be aware of is they only allow you to work with certain food vendors of their choosing, so be aware of this when booking this venue for your wedding. They email back rather quickly with questions and they are pretty lenient with what they allow you to do with the space. Overall our guests had a wonderful time and I would pick this venue again and again if I was to get married again!

We could not have been happier with Sun Valley! The venue is so stunning even before we started decorating. The owner, Jen, was very responsive any time we had questions leading up to the day. The venue coordinators, Hallie and Tyler, were amazing and so attentive. Making sure our entire day went smoothly and we had whatever we needed. Our bartender Stephanie was great! We had a big crowd of drinkers and she kept up and remembered most of the drink orders when they would come back up for a refill. You have a few options of catering with them, 10/10 would recommend La Vera! The food was delicious, their staff were incredible as well. Truly could not recommend this venue enough!

Love having my wedding here!! So beautiful and there were spots for every person! The fireplace and outdoor seating were great for our older guests and those with babies to step away for a second. I was obsessed with getting married in front of that small pond as well it was truly beautiful! Everyone who works there especially Hallie and Jennifer were super easy to work with and answer any questions i had super fast through email! Would HIGHLY recommended!!!

I would highly recommend any engaged couple to consider Sun Valley for their wedding. The beautiful landscape and interior details alone say it all but the communication and organization of staff really made us feel reassured that everything was taken care of. Sun Valley did an excellent job all around. Through the wedding process they were so helpful with all of our questions and made everything so much easier. Not only was it a great experience behind the scenes, but the venue is so beautiful! We got so many compliments from our guests. I would not have wanted my wedding anywhere else!

I LOVED my wedding here! Everything was absolutely perfect! Hallie and Tyler were my day of coordinators and they were fantastic! Every detail was covered and coordinated and I was able to enjoy my day stress-free! Not to mention the venue was beautiful! They made sure everything was perfect from the napkin color to the placement of signs, it was wonderful! I would 10000% recommend this venue to any bride!

I could not have asked for a better experience with SunValley! We just had our ceremony and reception there and it was absolutely amazing! Staff was so friendly, helpful, and very timely with responding. Day of, they had coordinators helping every step of the way to make sure all was perfect. All my vendors also praised how great they were to work it. It is a simple, large, clean looking venue that you truly can leave as is, or completely make it your own. Not to mention they were really well priced compared to other venues we looked into. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking.

Sun Valley is a gorgeous venue, with a modern warm atmosphere, and an amazingly attentive staff. We got married April 27, 2025 and it was a beautiful day! Our theme was spring garden party and Sun Valley fit it perfectly. From our first tour with Hallie, we knew we wanted to get married there! We worked with Jennifer as our venue coordinator, and Melissa was our day-of manager on site. All three were attentive, cared about the details, helped us stay on track with anything needed throughout the planning process, and were excited about making sure our day was perfect!
Favorite highs of Sun Valley: the spacious bridal suite, the aesthetic of the reception hall space, responsiveness in emails back and forth with their team, easy portal to use as the couple (for filling out vendor forms, making payments, layout, etc), and the ceremony space down by the ponds (it's literally stunning).
Note for our caterer: We did book a caterer outside of their preferred list of four options, and paid the per person fee (we had a smaller wedding, with a 100 person guest count, so the fee wasn't a huge impact on our food budget).
Overall, I would highly recommend Sun Valley to any couple looking for a beautiful outdoor ceremony space (indoor is also an option with them!),spacious modern reception hall, and attentive team for your big day! :)

We could not recommend Sun Valley enough as a wedding venue. From the very beginning, Hallie and Jennifer worked with us to plan a very detailed transformation of both the outdoor and the indoor spaces to match our vision. This involved multiple site visits from various vendors and a level of flexibility (allowing us to pitch a huge tent days before the wedding took place, letting decorators come early, outdoor flower wall, outside catering, etc.) that is truly unmatched in the Cleveland area. We are so lucky that we found Sun Valley!

Sun Valley was an absolute dream venue to have a wedding. The colors in June were so vibrant for my outdoor ceremony. The indoor reception space was beautiful but maybe a little tight when completely maxed out with a 300 person guest list. The dance floor was great and guests who weren't interested in dancing were able to enjoy the outdoor patio area. The Sun Valley staff were an absolute joy to work with. They promptly and thoroughly answered all of my questions and took care of all ceremony and reception room set up on my wedding day. I would recommend Sun Valley to anyone!

When researching venues to have our wedding we kept coming back to this one and got married here in October. We loved the outdoor ceremony space, which was absolutely stunning with all of the fall colors. We loved the reception space for its spaciousness and what we could do with it, it was the perfect space for a fun filled reception. From the beginning everyone we worked with was very helpful and always thorough when answering any questions we had throughout the planning process. We had SO many guests from our wedding compliment our venue we chose and everyone asked where we found it! It was the perfect place for our wedding and couldn't have been more beautiful. We are so thankful for our experience with this venue.

The Pros:
- Beautiful, clean, very spacious venue (no one feels smooshed into a venue to where chairs bump each other)
- Options for indoor/outdoor ceremony on site = less travel for you and your guests.
- Bridal suite is big, roomy, has good lighting and connects directly to the ladies restroom (the doors lock).
- Plenty of parking.
- Easy to get around indoors/outdoors (considering people with mobility issues).
- The staff was really nice/easy to work with.
- The venue can supply some items with no rental fee, such as a high chairs/an easel or two.
- Emails back pretty quickly to answer questions.
- Gives you access to a website that is great to use to create a visual floor plan.
The Cons:
- The flooring needs redone inside, but it's not a huge concern/issue, just something guests noticed on our wedding day.
- There is a chance of other couples touring the venue on your wedding day. It is a little awkward if you are getting ready on site and I could tell a few of the couples also felt awkward when they realized I was the bride; this can go up to the time of your first look.
- No suite for the groom and groomsmen to get ready on site - our group really wanted this and we feel it could be a great future add-on to the venue.
- If you do not use any of the caterer options that are through Sun Valley, you are charged a fee per person in your final headcount on top of your existing expenses.
- Music bounces off the walls (honestly, this happens with just about any venue but wanted to point it out).
Overall, I would recommend this venue for your wedding day. It's beautiful and has plenty if space to comfortably sit your guests. There are indoor and outdoor opportunities for so many wedding items, it's very clean, and the staff was great to work with.

I don’t even have the words to say how perfect our wedding was at sun valley!! All the employees were so helpful and communicative leading up to our day. Hallie ended up being our month of coordinator and she was PHENOMENAL. I mean it, if you have the funds, hire a coordinator!!! But the grounds were beautiful, my guests were blown away, the size was perfect for my 115 guests, but could accommodate way more if needed. Book this venue!!

Sun Valley was so easy to work with and would highly recommend!! Jennifer was great to communicate with and helped us every step of the way. She was also always quick to respond to one of my many questions. Sun Valley is a beautiful property and we could not have asked for a better place to get married! It rained a bit on our wedding day and all the staff there was so accommodating to try and figure out what we should do. We already got some of our sneak peaks back and the pictures with the property in the background are amazing!! We had so many complements from our guests that we choose the perfect venue and we tend to agree!

Absolutely incredible venue!!! We just had our wedding here and it ended up being perfect. The size is super accommodating to a lot of different sized weddings - ours was right around 170 and there was the perfect amount of room for tables, cocktail hour, and a dance floor. But you could go way bigger or smaller easily. The staff at Sun Valley is phenomenal to work with - very quick to respond to questions!! We had so many people come up to us saying that we had our wedding at the perfect venue. We did an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. I really can’t say enough amazing things about this place!!

The venue was beautiful and very easy to work, and we were very pleased with the communication throughout the planning process. Hallie was great! (Although there was a bit of a rush with the rehearsal because she had scheduled a flight and it cut it a little too close with our timing. It added a bit of stress to the evening.)
The bathroom signs "Stand" and "Sit" in fancy cursive writing on the doors with no indication that they are restrooms was rather awkward and caused confusion and required too much explanation.
As the mother and father of the bride responsible for paying the bill, we would have appreciated being approached by the venue the day of the event. We felt rather invisible.
It would have been helpful to have a room available on site for the groomsmen to gather and also keep their "stuff". Some of the men were handing items to bridesmaids to put in the girls' dressing room because there was no other place to leave anything.

Not only is Sun Valley an absolutely gorgeous venue, but their communication was amazing. I had so many questions and they always got back to me quickly and were happy to help. They were actually the only venue I toured. As soon as I saw the space and talked with Hallie, I knew I didn't need to look at any others.
The day of the wedding went so smoothly and I received so many compliments on how gorgeous the venue was from the ceremony space to the reception to the bridal suite and even bathrooms. I cannot thank the owners and everyone involved with my wedding day enough for making it as perfect as it was!

Everyone we worked with in regards to Sun Valley was very polite and professional. Our questions were always answered in a timely manner which made the planning process much easier. I would absolutely recommend this venue as it is beautiful, can accommodate outdoor and indoor ceremonies, and the staff was very easy to work with. We worked with Hallie and Jen throughout our wedding planning process and they were both wonderful. The Sun Valley crew is timely with their responses and answered all of our questions no matter how big or how small. The venue itself is stunning and we did not feel the need to spend extra money on decorations, the building speaks for itself. Sun Valley supplied all of our tables, chairs, table settings, linens and offers a variety of bar packages. They have different events throughout the year that couples who have booked or are planning to book can attend to visit the venue, see it in action and meet potential vendors. We got married in the fall and the grounds were absolutely stunning!

My family was ecstatic in the entire Sun Valley experience. The ambiance of the venue with the outside gardens, fire pit, and dining added a real pizazz to the wedding event. SUCH a beautiful and romantic venue! Our outside ceremony was absolutely stunning in front the pond, it is pristine and spacious inside for 200+ guests and the patio is spectacular for guests to mingle and enjoy a drink together. Kendyl and Scott were our day-of-coordinators and they really went above and beyond for us from the second we arrived until the moment we left the reception. An absolute 10/10 venue to be the foundation for a great wedding!

I honestly do not have enough words to explain how much we loved Sun Valley as our reception venue. From the very first email exchange, Jennifer made the wedding planning process a million times easier. She was always available to meet with us, answer my billionth questions, offer suggestions, and just ease my anxiety and stress in every way.
The venue itself is unbelievably stunning. Everyone of our guests raved about how beautiful it was and every detail, from the new patio to the lights, was noticed and appreciated. The floor layout makes it easy to appreciate everyone in attendance and helped create a fun dance atmosphere.
The day of coordinators were incredible. If I asked for something I had it before I could finish my sentence. And as soon as their setup was done, they would search me out and ask to help in any way they could.
Sun Valley exceeded my expectations in every single way. They were the kindest team to work with. Even without all the beauty that the venue offers, I would choose Sun Valley again just for the team. None of my friends that have gotten married have received the support and help from their venue the way that we did.
If you are looking for a stunning venue with the most responsive and helpful staff, book Sun Valley. You will not regret trusting them with your day. If I ever need to plan another large event, Sun Valley would be my first and only option. The customer service stayed exceptional from the first email in October of 2021 until after our wedding was over in May of 2023. Five stars is truly not enough for them.

Venue is designed for outdoor weddings. It was a beautiful winter day for our wedding with snow, however, view from ceremony window was an eyesore. Our wishes to remove, fell on deaf ears. We were promised it would be pushed back, but never carried through. Communication is lacking and needs to be addressed. Venue knew our request a week before wedding. Still would book again, due to scenery. Pictures outside and inside are beautiful.

Sun Valley was SO wonderful to work with. I knew from the moment I pulled up to tour it that it was going to exceed my expectations. This venue is truly the most gorgeous venue I’ve ever seen with beautiful grounds that made for the best colorful and perfect fall ceremony by the large pond. The reception hall is equally as beautiful and spacious which made for an amazing time dancing and celebrating with our guests. The three owners all own wedding industry businesses outside of the venue and therefore bring so much experience and knowledge with them to run the venue which meant everything was so smooth and so well thought out. Jennifer was so great about being quick to respond and answer any questions, even at the last minute. I truly couldn’t imagine myself getting married anywhere else. I couldn’t recommend Sun Valley more!
