Not very good to do business with.
We agreed on $1300 plus the price of flowers for setup, tear down, and decorations. About a month before our wedding the price was changed too $1300 plus $50 for setting up each table. The day of she set up everything as requested and did a good job. The flowers were good. She told us that the artificial flowers would be cheaper than real so we went with the artificial then when it was finished the artificial ended up being more expensive. By 9:00 she had all of her decorations picked up and had left. She left all of the tables and chairs to be picked up by us so my wife and I were picking up tables and chairs that she set up until 2am.
Buyer beware! Not worth the $1800 + florals (ended up $2600) that she charges! I hired this company to be my day of coordinator, & with that comes “free” decorations/rentals of hers & she has to be your florist. The agreement was for her & an assistant-I wouldn’t have to do anything. It was good & pretty. But She didn’t live up to her promise or her price point. my $700+ florals (including bouquet) weren’t what I wanted or worth cost. The bouquet was so large that I couldn’t use it in any of my pictures. it hid my dress. I had to hold it as low as possible or it’d reach my neck. One floral arrangement w/ macrame was supposed to be moved to reception to use for a photo op at the reception that didn’t happen & the florals on the tables were one stem each case that she tried to tell me were an average of $5 each!
•She charged me for more flowers per vase/table than there actually were (about $200 too much).
•her assistant was ill, so my husband & father in law had to come & spend HOURS setting up the chairs outside for our ceremony-which Keli even said wouldn’t have happened if she had her assistant. It took so much time that my husband missed the fun his friends had planned for him prior to the wedding. & our guests had to take their chairs back with them. The two chairs that no one got-she didn’t even bring in-we found them outside the next day.
•She had all the desserts (ones that needed refrigerated) out by 2, when the ceremony was at 3, dinner was at 5. When I asked if these needed to be put away, she told me “it’s cold enough in this building”….I’m sorry but we are lucky no one got sick! She tried to tell me my husband asked for them to be out (not true).
•she wasn’t concerned about anything that wasn’t hers. I spent a time on hand sanitizer favors w/ little paper butterflies glued on them that I asked be put at each place setting-she put them in a basket where the butterflies came off. Father in law had to pass them out. She left my friends’ antique runner rug that I used as my aisle runner OUTSIDE! It wasn’t until the next day that we noticed where it was and got it.
•Everything was set up by 2. she told me she’d break down things about 9 since the reception ended at 10-when in reality she was breaking things down by 8 & was gone before 9. I had the other vendors ask us if we needed anything-She was NO WHERE to be found.
•when I this with her, she guilt tripped me & refused to give any money back, when we paid $2600, & we definitely didNOT get a $2600 wedding product. Especially since we did the work she should’ve and the florals were subpar. She eventually gave me $340-the “profit” from the flowers that we were overcharged for anyhow & $40 for 2 dinners. She told me that “had you been here on time at 1, we could’ve made changes to your bouquet”….I was there at 2 & the wedding didn’t start til 3! When I said I couldn’t find her/she didn’t help wrangle people for pictures, as promised, she said that only applies to family & It was under control so she went inside to take care of guests. But none of my guests said they were ever helped by someone.
•There were SO many things missing that I brought to have out even after instruction was given. I had goblets for all the guests but some set aside that were special that I said I’d give out-she put them out anyway so I was running around trying to get the right goblets to my special people
•I could keep going unfortunately. Wish I just did it myself. It would’ve turned out similar.
Keli, of Taking the Leap, did such a great job with my daughter’s wedding in 2016, that we also worked with her for my son’s wedding in 2018. Again , she was able to create wonderful floral arrangements and a great variety of table centerpieces. Her inventory includes so many items in every style. There’s something for everyone. From early morning set-up to late night tear-down, Keli always has a smile on her face!
Keli, of Taking the Leap, was a wonderful asset for my daughter’s wedding in September, 2016. From her creative floral arrangements to her massive collection of decorations in every style, she made it possible for me to enjoy the day. I knew Keli had everything under control and would solve any problems that came up. She even took part of my wedding veil to make a wrap for the stems in my daughter’s bouquet, and it’s a great keepsake for her. Keli is so easy to work with and she was able to capture the happy couple’s vision. It was a wonderful day for all of us!!
I cannot say enough good things about Keli at Taking The Leap!! For starters, the flowers and decorations that she provided for our ceremony and reception were stunning and exactly what we described. The day went so smoothly because Keli coordinated everything from releasing tables for dinner to dimming the lights for dancing. Even before the wedding, she was such a huge help in the planning process and answered any questions I had. The quality of work you get from Keli and her team is incredible and her prices are so reasonable! If you want your dream wedding to come to life-you have to use Taking The Leap!! Thanks again for everything Keli!!
Keli brought my daughter's vision of her dream wedding to life. She has a gift with flowers and putting it all together to create the atmosphere you want. She also has great connections to help you find professionals in photography, catering, entertainment, etc. The venue was wonderful, and Keli along with her staff brought every detail together to make a perfect memory for my daughter and her husband. I will never forget my daughter saying, "It is going too fast. I want to do it again." Thank you, Keli!! ❤
Covid brides and grooms beware!!! My wife and I hired Kelli for our wedding that was supposed to be on 5/2/2020 but due to Covid we were forced to have a much smaller affair and were going to have our reception on 9/26/2020. Kelli supplied some flowers and set our 4 tables up. We had already prepaid for our 195 person wedding at that point. Due to our older guest list and us trying to become pregnant we did not feel safe to have our reception so we canceled and asked for the money that was supposed to go to that back. Her contract did not have anything restricting that in it besides a 500 non refundable deposit that we knew we would lose. We asked twice then she lawyered up and hid behind the HEALS act which has not even passed yet at them time I am writing this. DO NOT PAY HER IN ADVANCE!!!
Keli & her staff make such beautiful arrangements that everyone at the event compliments! Her years of experience shine through in her arrangements and professionalism. She works great with her fellow vendors to ensure all details of the event come together smoothly. The detail she puts into her work is amazing and shows how much she cares about her clients and product. Everything was ready in a timely manner and delivered perfectly. Thank you Keli!
Keli and her staff made our dream wedding come true. She listened to all of our wishes and made sure everything was perfect. Our guests gave us many compliments. We were blessed to have had her expertise! Highly recommend!
Did not show up at the time she told us and professionalism was lacking. Many items not provided and when asked about it gives more excuses that results.
Taking The Leap's team is so awesome to work with! they make planning and decorating so easy! very professional Team!
