is professional, reliable and made sure we had kosher wine and challah since the venue prohibits you from bringing your own. She has the timeline down to a science - one less thing for us to worry about! The wedding itself was incredible. TTHE runs a tight ship & that ship sails incredibly smooth. The food is good. At the time of this review, TTHE partners with Palermo's bakery for the complimentary cake with the wedding package. Our cake was PHENOMENAL. People are still raving about it. I'm not sure how to differentiate what was done by the venue and what was done by our planner, but if there were issues, we never knew about them. We didn't take advantage of the room blocks at the hotel on site because the savings are marginal & you're responsible for a minimum of 15 booked rooms (if there are only 10 booked, you are required to pay for the remaining 5). We had an incredibly small wedding, so I didn't see that as a necessity, although we did end up with more than 15 rooms. However, note that this is NOT an accessible venue (maybe JUST the Biddle Mansion, but definitely not the hotel). It's not their fault, its just a historic property that isn't wheelchair friendly. I'm trying to keep this review to strictly the venue for weddings and not the hotel, but I think they should be more transparent about that. Also, the water in the King Mansion was FREEZING. Imagine cold showers your whole wedding week? They know about these complaints but decide to act shocked like its the first time they are hearing about it so they offer you a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience. Again, its a historic property, so thats a structural issue - nothing against how they run the weddings. I'm giving Tarrytown House Estate 4 stars because I paid for food + bubbly to be delivered to the bridal suites. We had lunch delivered to the men's dressing room at 12pm. We had photos at 1. The guys didn't have time to eat before photos, and intended to have lunch after. When they went back to the room, all of the food was gone. NONE of it had been touched by them. Where did it go? The bridal party came back to the women's suite, all the food AND bubbly was ALSO gone. Our planner went to have it returned. They could only recover a few pastrami sandwiches? In hindsight, this was/is unacceptable. We were gone for maybe an hour and a half. My other complaint is that we had the Venetian dessert table - I would've never known because it was hidden from the reception. Almost no one knew about it. We weren't told it was out & weren't offered whatever was remaining at the end of the night.. I recommend having the DJ make that announcement (not everyone likes cake), or moving the entire display to lower part of the Winter Palace. Obviously most of my complaints are about food, but that's the bulk of the cost of weddings. Brides & Grooms are BUSY and barely get to enjoy the food from their own wedding. Back to the good stuff, so we can end on a high note - if you're planning on having your wedding at TTHE - DO IT. THE STAFF IS FANTASTIC. They really made our day so memorable and it was the best day of our lives. They were always checking on us, & we never had to lift a finger. You can even see them in the background of the wedding pictures also having a great time. Same time next year?

As soon as we were made aware, we arranged for the champagne to be returned and additional food to be brought up as quickly as possible. For food safety reasons, we needed to provide fresh replacements rather than return the original items. Since then, we have connected with our team to reinforce the importance of leaving food in the suites until the couple and their wedding party have confirmed they are finished with it. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I also appreciate your feedback about the Venetian dessert display. We want our couples and their guests to enjoy every part of the celebration, and I understand how disappointing it must have been to miss something you had specifically chosen for your wedding. TTHE could not have been more perfect for this experience. The grounds are stunning, the views are unbelievable, and the vibes were truly 10/10. Having the opportunity to be on this property with all your friends and family made for a truly once in a lifetime experience. The planning process was seamless, and we could not say enough great things about our event coordinator, Ann. Even while dealing with an impending nor'easter, all wedding events went off without a hitch and we truly had the wedding of our dreams. She was communicative, honest, and so supportive. We had both our wedding ceremony, after party and farewell breakfast at the TTHE and the entire staff was so kind, helpful and just a pleasure to work with. The bride and groom suites are spacious, bright, and comfortable to get ready in. Our bridal parties had the best time using the space and it really allowed us to relax and be present before the ceremony. We truly can't say enough about how perfect this was for our wedding and for an overall guest experience. 10/10 would recommend.

staff is experienced, professional, and caring. Our guests had a great time staying at the hotel on-site for the weekend and it was really nice to not worry about any logistics or transportation. We also barely needed flowers or decor because the venue is so stunning on it's own! Ann was our point of contact/coordinator and she was great - she answered all of my (many) questions, was responsive and reliable, and executed the day perfectly according to plan. She is confident and experienced, and you can trust her to get the job done. One thing that we really appreciated was that Ann was upfront and honest with us about every detail, which helped so much in the planning process and saved us a lot of extra stress and money. Because of the comprehensive services that the venue offers and Ann's expertise, our external vendor list was short and we did not need to hire a planner or day-of coordinator. This made the planning process and wedding day so easy and smooth and allowed us to focus on the smaller, fun details that we cared most about. My hand was never empty, they remembered my favorite margarita without me having to ask, and the man who took me to the back of the ceremony site by golf cart was so warm and sweet about it. They made me feel so seen and cared for on the most important day of my life. The food deserves its own mention — it was genuinely amazing, and we lost count of how many guests pulled us aside to rave about it. Our point of contact Jenna was a huge part of what made the day so perfect. Throughout the planning process she was responsive, patient, and always professional — the kind of person who just puts you at ease. On the day itself, she kept everything running on time, handled all the details (she made sure our arch stayed straight even as the wind picked up in the afternoon), and did it all with so much warmth. tion, and financial disorganization were a complete nightmare. If we had known the volume of headaches this hotel block would cause us and our guests, we would have booked elsewhere. Detailed Issues Hidden Fees & Price per Room: They pushed a strict 80% attrition rate with no discount and after asking about it, were given a discount of only $10/room. Later, we were quoted $1,000 for a getting ready room but later received an invoice for $1,700. This included hidden administrative fees, mandatory gratuity, and a ridiculous $300 charge for bagels for just 8 people. Management justified this by saying they emailed us a price of "$1,000+" after we spoke. Booking Chaos: The hotel's internal communication was terrible. Guests were told our room block was completely full, yet a week later, we received an email from management claiming we hadn't met our attrition rate. Staff also gave guests conflicting information about the availability of adjoining rooms. Morning After Breakfast: We wanted to book a wedding breakfast the morning after for 60 guests. Not only was there no group discount on the $30+/person rate with a contract guaranteeing a minimum number of guests, but they included additional per-person admin fees, making it more expensive than if our guests had just walked in and ordered individually. Needless to say, we had our breakfasts somewhere else. Discount Issues: Weeks before the wedding, guests noticed it was cheaper to book directly through the hotel website than use our "discounted" block. Management lowered our rate by $20 after we caught the issue. Shortly after, another guest found a public rate over $100 cheaper per night resulting in a further price reduction to our block, which we should have never had to ask for. Despite adjusting the rates prior to arrival, the hotel still overcharged our guests at checkout. The front desk promised to correct the bills and refund departed guests, but the very next guest to check out was immediately overcharged again. We still have no confidence our guests were billed correctly. Lastly, a groomsman who wasn't even staying at the hotel purchased a single beverage at the front desk and was charged $420 on his credit card the next day. Final Thoughts- Save yourself the stress. While the property is beautiful, the administrative incompetence and predatory pricing practices are not worth the anxiety on your wedding weekend. Book your block somewhere else.

Here’s why we loved it – 1- Excellent Caring Staff – Our coordinator, Ann, was professional, attentive to details, flexible and responsive. She was great at anticipating problems and seeing around corners. When issues arose, she always had helpful suggestions and was always respectful in manner and tone. Other Tarrytown House employees on staff were equally polite, responsive and pleasant. 2- Excellent Food – Our wedding was over 150 people and the food was not only delicious, but served in a timely way to all. Kudos to the chef and to Ann for her supervision and insistence on timely service. 3- Last minute optionality of indoor vs outdoor. Sadly, it rained on our wedding day, but it did not put even a damper on our events. The staff moved everything inside, and it was a beautiful, delicious wedding that went off without a hitch. And importantly we had until close to noon on the day of to decide on inside or outside. This venue is an excellent option for anyone looking for a “one stop” full-service property with hotel facilities, gym and other amenities, excellent food and excellent service. There are also great space options for after parties and day after brunches. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

ties that made our entire weekend feel like the Broadway production we planned (Note: our wedding had a light Broadway theme that worked very well at TTHE). From the ceremony to the reception to the afterparty, the property offered a wide range of adaptable spaces, which made it easy to tailor the layout to our vision and comfortably accommodate a large guest list. The food was a standout. It was delicious, abundant, and consistently praised by our guests, both for quality and quantity. Many guests commented that it exceeded their expectations. The venue’s preferred vendor list and Ann’s suggested vendors were also a huge help. It saved us time, reduced stress, and ultimately helped us manage costs without sacrificing quality. One of the biggest highlights was the speakeasy afterparty space, which was a total hit and made the post wedding Pajama party, memorable finale. The venue is also very accessible in terms of planning. We were able to visit often, walk the grounds freely, and truly familiarize ourselves with the property ahead of the big day, which made us feel confident and prepared. The only challenge worth noting is that the hotel room layout can be a bit confusing, and the property is not the most accessible for older guests or those with limited mobility. That said, we forgot to ensure that less mobile guests were given the most accessible room and they do have a golf cart to shuttle guests around. We also cannot say enough good things about Ann, our venue coordinator. She was exceptional from start to finish. Her communication was clear and timely, and it was immediately obvious that she is deeply experienced and knows this venue inside and out. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly personable, and she genuinely made us feel like she was on our team rather than trying to sell us on upgrades we didn’t need. Ann was an invaluable source of insight, advice, and creative problem-solving, and she was always willing to entertain and help execute our more ambitious or unconventional ideas (e.g. a Reindeer Ringbearer). She consistently offered thoughtful, cost-effective guidance that helped us bring our vision to life without unnecessary stress or expense. On the wedding day itself, she was incredibly present, calm, and responsive, handling details seamlessly and making us feel fully supported. At every step, she made us feel like her only and most valued clients. Overall, we would highly recommend Tarrytown House Estate and Ann to any couple looking for a beautiful, flexible venue with excellent food, strong vendor partnerships, and truly outstanding coordination.

ience was with THE! We are still getting messages from our friends and family about how beautiful the venue was, how fantastic the food was, and how memorable the evening was. Working with THE, especially with the catering sales manager Ann Callaghan, made everything leading up to and the day of such a relaxing experience. Ann’s expertise and knowledge with weddings/large events were evident from day one. I hope that every couple going through all the stress of wedding planning has an Ann to help guide them through it! Even when we unexpectedly lost power during our cocktail hour Ann and her team were able to turn what could have been such a negative experience into a positive one! We never even had to feel concerned or worried about the power as Ann kept us informed of any/all information she received from the power company as they worked hard to restore power. While we had to make some minor adjustments, the power outage ended up being one of the highlights of the evening. It really added to the spooky atmosphere of our Halloween wedding! Thankfully, power was restored just in time for the start of entree service! Ann and her team had even figured out how to make dinner happen despite the power being out just prior to the power being restored! We truly have nothing negative to say about the entire experience thanks to the hard work of Ann and all of the amazing/talented staff at THE. Even when we arrived the night before THE was kind enough to send a bottle of prosecco and a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries to our room with a lovely letter expressing their congratulations. My husband and I felt so special from start to finish! The estate is stunning, with multiple beautiful spaces on-site for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after-party, and even brunch the next day. Having everything in one place (including on-site accommodations) made the whole weekend seamless and stress-free for both us and our guests. From the very first meeting, Ann stood out. She was warm, incredibly organized, and clearly experienced; exactly the kind of person we needed especially since we weren’t hiring a separate wedding planner. She walked us through every detail, helped us build a realistic timeline, and patiently worked with us on a custom quote that fit our budget while still allowing flexibility in food and beverage choices. We never felt pressured, only supported. She even helped us make countless small updates right until the wedding weekend! The food was another highlight as our guests still talk about how delicious it was. TTHE was also very accommodating with dietary needs, which was important to us and our families. e lucked out!), and the team — from Ann to Lauren to Jenna — were incredible. They’re not only experts at what they do, but they also have this amazing ability to keep everyone calm and confident. We gave them our instructions, and they executed flawlessly without any hand-holding. The estate itself is a hidden gem — the grounds are stunning, and we could have easily spent another hour just taking photos with all the beautiful spots available. We had 175 guests, many traveling from out of town, and the flow of the day was perfect — ceremony on the West Terrace, cocktail hour in the Winter Palace, and reception in the Mary Duke Ballroom, which fit everyone perfectly. We were even able to fit two large photo booths in the reception space with plenty of room for guests to dance and mingle, without the space feeling too big. Several of our friends are chefs and raved about the food (steak, chicken, or salmon — all genuinely fantastic). The after-party in the Cellar was a huge hit — the bar was lively, the game room kept guests of all ages entertained, and I even got lost exploring because it’s so spacious. Three months later, we’re still hearing from friends and family that it was one of the best venues they’ve ever been to. The staff was warm and friendly, the getting-ready rooms are enormous, and throughout the entire process I never felt alone or unguided. They worked seamlessly with our vendors, and if anything went wrong behind the scenes, my husband and I had no idea — which is exactly how it should be on your wedding day. TTH was everything we could have hoped for and more.

The entire staff was amazing from food & beverage, front desk, engineering, & more! Our guests were filled with compliments about the entire weekend. The hotel rooms were great. The food was spectacular. The estate grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Our day started at 8am with hair/makeup leading into first look photos then the ceremony in the Statue Garden, cocktail hour on the West Terrace, Reception in the Mary Duke Ballroom, and the after party in Cellar 49! By the end of the night, no one wanted the party to end! The day was seamless; we felt like we were able to enjoy all the moments, because the TTHE team made sure everything went smoothly. TTHE is a one stop shop when it comes to wedding venues in Westchester; accommodations on site, many options for ceremony, and a beautiful ballroom. I cannot recommend TTHE enough! Ann went above and beyond, and we’re still touched by the fact that she personally came by to say goodbye as we were leaving for the airport. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. They made our guests feel at home throughout the weekend and took care of every need with grace and care. Beyond the wedding itself, we were able to host a post-wedding breakfast, enjoy an afternoon by the pool, and close out the weekend with a delicious dinner at Goosefeather. Each part of the weekend added to the magic and allowed us to truly relax and celebrate with our loved ones. Tarrytown House Estate gave us more than just a venue, it gave us memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. This place, and its people, are truly special.

ut the 9 months from signing til our wedding, but everyone we worked with we really liked. Lauren, Ann and then Jenna K. were really nice, helpful and professional. Our guests had great compliments for the ceremony space (hudson river view!), the reception hall, the professionalism of the staff, and the ease of having the wedding on the same site as the hotel. We also had a great experience working with the hotel. It's a very large hotel, so it can accommodate a big group. The amenities are really nice, great gym, two pools, sauna, and a nice restaurant on-site (Goosefeather). Arranging the hotel block and dealing with a few guests' special needs was very easy. In particular, the front desk staff was extraordinary, especially Ordalina D., who went the extra mile to make our stay (as the couple getting married), our officiant's stay, and many of our guests' stays as comfortable and easy as possible. All in all, we were very happy with choosing Tarrytown House Estate.

We were in awe of cocktail hour, and then when we entered the Winter Palace for our reception we couldn't believe how perfect everything was. It met exactly what we envisioned. Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed our after party at Cellar 49! It was exactly what we imagined- a great space and super comfortable, the bar/drinks and music/dance floor were perfect, and the food was delicious. Every venue has their problems, and for us it was that we went through three different event coordinators in about 8 months as there was a lot of turnover. However, once we started working with Ann, everything was perfect. She promptly responded to every email and phone call we had and made us feel like we were the top priority. She was is friendly and so experienced, which made us very comfortable working with her. On the wedding weekend, she checked in with us frequently and made the event the wedding of our dreams. factors for us in choosing a wedding venue was ease and convenience for us and our guests and TTHE fit that bill perfectly - everyone from out of town was able to stay at the hotel on the grounds and we were able to have the bridal suites, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party all within a 50 yard walk of each other which cut out the need for any transportation and eliminated any potential snafus there. With all of the pre-wedding prep, Lauren Medina was an absolute angel to work with. She was incredibly communicative, provided us with great recommendations/suggestions on the food/bev packages, decor, flow of the day, etc. The day of she was there to keep everything running smoothly in conjunction with our wedding planners. The bridal suites are beautifully appointed for nice getting ready shots, have plenty of space for hair/makeup for the group, and the team was fantastic with checking in and bringing in food/beverage that we had ordered through them. The grounds overall are stunning for some great old school glam shots in the Biddle Mansion and then lovely bridal party pictures outside of the mansion and around the gardens. The setup for our ceremony was perfect, admittedly we did also luck out with a stunner of an early October 70 degree/sunny day! We used the patio right next to the Statue Garden due to the size of our wedding (~210 people) and it was still incredibly picturesque. While my husband and I skipped the cocktail hour to do extended family photos, have a moment to ourselves (in which Lauren and team brough up each of our signature cocktails and an appetizer sampler to the bridal suite for us to enjoy!), and see the ballroom reveal - everyone was raving about all of the cocktail hour stations and it looked like everything flowed seamlessly. The ballroom was totally transformed for our reception - I was blown away by how beautifully everything came out and how professionally everything was taken care of throughout the day. There was not one fire for us to deal with (or if there was we never even heard about it!). There was never a line at the bars thanks to speedy bartenders and multiple bar setups, everyone had plenty of space on the dance floor, and the food was top notch. It was exactly what we were looking for to ensure an enjoyable experience for us and our guests. Lastly - the after party in Cellar 49 was perfect. Our guests were all raving about how cool the space was and it was great to have some separate areas with tables/food that the older folks could hang at and then have the bar/dance floor area for the younger crowd looking to party. Overall, we could not be more thankful that we chose TTHE as our wedding venue - we have heard nothing but rave reviews from everyone who attended the wedding at how beautiful the property and event spaces are and how much they valued having everything in one place! HUGE thank you to Lauren, the chef, and the amazing team at TTHE for making it such a memorable, fun, and beautiful experience for us!

Our wedding was around 175 people, but they could have accommodated many more than that, and everyone loved being on site all weekend because they didn’t have to worry about additional travel logistics. We also wanted a venue that was going to give us options for how to do our various wedding events. TTHE had so many different kinds of setups to choose from, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, and even a little speakeasy on sight for a super cool after party! So if we weren’t hooked already, as soon as we met Lauren (day of coordinator), we knew TTHE was the perfect place for us. Our guests enjoyed time at the swimming pool, meals at the onsite restaurant Goosefeathers, and had a great time relaxing on the beautiful grounds of the property surrounded by nature. Our wedding day went so smoothly, from the food served to us in the bride and groom suites, to the smooth transitions between events, all the way to our after party set up, and a million moments in between. As we had no event planner, it's hard for us to imagine pulling the wedding off elsewhere. The historical style of the Biddle Mansion gave the cocktail hour and reception a classical, elegant vibe, and the wedding on the terrace during golden hour was extraordinary beautiful and special. The tasting was fun, and we'd like to shout out Chelsea (and Lauren initially) for handling all the correspondence and details, along with the rest of the staff who handled the room blocks, bridal and groom suites, meal service and breakfast the day after.

I do recommend hiring a planner; it's expensive and you definitely can do it by yourself, it's still a ton of work to organize. however, in the end I would absolutely recommend having your wedding here!! my parents, both sides of the family and friends we all had a blast the whole day until late hours of the after party. these memories will last us a life time!!
