Danielle has a way of taking every ounce of stress off a bride’s shoulders—she made the entire experience feel effortless so we could truly be present and enjoy every moment. Their vendor recommendations were also outstanding. Natalie from Lady Slipper Design absolutely transformed the space. I met with her briefly, gave her a simple vision of “lots of greens, wrap the beams, make it stunning,” and what she delivered left us and our guests in awe. She is an artist in every sense. Brian from Champagne Toast, our DJ, was fantastic as well—professional, fun, and incredibly skilled at reading the room and keeping the energy perfect all night. Every vendor we hired through their list was truly an expert at their craft. The Barn at Wight Farm came so highly recommended to us, and even with all the praise we heard beforehand, the entire experience still surpassed every expectation. Danielle is an absolute angel at what she does, and she created the most perfect day for us—one we will remember forever. If you’re considering this venue, do yourself a favor and book it. You will be amazed. We are endlessly grateful for everything they did to make our wedding unforgettable.

The space is beautiful and the grounds are large. The bridal suite is spacious and modern, but there is no natural lighting. The food was amazing and every single steak was cooked to perfection. My bridal attendant, Paul, was there for me every step of the way from when we showed up all the way until the last dance. He went above and beyond for me and made sure that my day was magical. He kept me calm before the ceremony and made sure there was nothing left needed throughout the reception. I have nothing negative to say about this venue or its team, 10/10 recommend!

The green grass, the great landscaping, the patio and fire pit, was a great summer night wedding! Danielle was our main contact, and she for sure is one of the best coordinators around. She always returned my call or emails, and never made me feel rushed or left me without any answers. The food at our wedding tasting was just as good as the day of! Everyone at our wedding gave huge compliments on the food. From decorating to coordinating day of activities , the Barn had many great people helping us. The actual wedding day went very smoothly and all of our guests were very impressed with the venue, the food, the set up, etc. I put so much trust into the team to set up the reception area and they KILLED it! There were a few hiccups here and there throughout the planning process, but the end result was absolutely amazing and you can definitely tell that the staff puts a lot of time and effort into their weddings. Overall, The Barn at Wight Farm is reasonably priced and tastefully decorated for an amazing wedding experience. I highly recommend for future brides!

how perfect the location was. The Barn truly exceed all of our expectation and some we didn’t even know we had. The event manager changed about midway through the year from when we booked it to our actual date. We transitioned to the new event manager, Danielle, without any issues. She dealt with all of my anxiety and responded to all of my follow up emails. Our bridal attendant, Alyssa (sp?), was phenomenal! She made sure we were fed and had a drink in our hand all night…even when that drink had to turn to water for one of us (it was me)! She helped run interference with parents and our photographer, and somehow managed to get all of our stuff packed up and ready to go at the end of the night! Also a very inclusive venue (two ladies here)…we felt welcomed from the start and never once felt uncomfortable. I cannot say enough great things about this place and the people who work there!

. The Barn was very accommodating of specific requests like signature drinks and having non-alcoholic champagne on site for people who didn't drink alcohol but still wanted to participate in the toast with something other than sparkling cider. Amazing time and beautiful place for a wedding!

Throughout the planning process I had Moira helping me every step of the way, and even getting some last minute specialty dinners for diet restricted guests! Although there were two weddings happening on site for my day of, I couldn't even tell! Everything was set up on time and there was plenty of parking. We had our ceremony in the Alpheus room and all the natural wood was so beautiful. You would not regret having your wedding there!

She was so sweet, professional, and responsive throughout our entire planning process from seeing the venue for the very first time to following up with her after our big day. She was quick to make the changes we needed, answer even the oddest of questions from me, and was all around wonderful to work with. We had our reception in the Winthrop room and did the buffet option instead of a plated meal. It was PERFECT and the food was delicious (we had multiple people tell us after how amazing the food was and were surprised that it was in-house catering because it was that good). All of the staff were so sweet and helpful, from the bartenders, to the wait staff, to the bridal attendant. There's a bridal suite included starting a couple of hours before the ceremony time, and we had the option to rent it all day which we did. It worked out perfectly for us with our timeline, and the bridal suite was large and able to accommodate the 7 of us easily (plus the hair and makeup artists while they were there). A few things to know going in (Danielle is very transparent about these when booking as well) - first, they may have multiple events running at one time as they have two different reception spaces (The Barn and the Winthrop room), plus the ceremony room (Alpheus room) which they use for smaller events as well; second, you and your bridal party are responsible for packing up any decor at the end of the night. There were multiple events on the day of our wedding and it was mostly not a problem - we did have a small conflict as we did a first look and family/bridal party photos ahead of the ceremony and we were told we had to move a few times due to the other wedding (it wasn't previously mentioned by staff to our photographer) and there was a delay in getting some of our signage swapped out from the prior ceremony to ours, which was rectified immediately when it was pointed out to the staff and they were told our guests were arriving. For the decor, Danielle informed us in advance we would have to pack everything up at the end of the night, which we did, but the staff did an amazing job breaking everything down and gathering it for us so it didn't take long at all! We really can't thank Danielle and the rest of the staff enough for making our day so incredible!

etter than I could have even hoped for, and the pictures online, even though stunning, didn't do this place justice. The staff at The Barn were so professional and caring, and they truly made our wedding day feel magical. Any time we had a question, Moira (our coordinator) was there to help, and made wedding planning so much easier. The weekend of our wedding also showed just how much they care for their brides/grooms. While we were getting ready for our ceremony, the staff took our visions and made them reality. Knowing they were handling our decor made preparing for the wedding so much less stressful. They also provided us with a bridal attendant (Katie) who was honestly an angel. She was around the entire day with us, making sure we were fed and hydrated, and ready to help us with anything we needed. The Barn was also incredible when it came to food allergies. Since I have Celiac Disease, it was very important that the foods we had at the wedding were going to be safe. The crew at The Barn made a special effort to ensure my safety, by checking everything with the chef to make sure I wouldn't get sick, and even going as far to have a separate plate of hors d'oeuvres that were 100% gluten free ready for me. We cannot speak highly enough of this venue and the staff there, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to have a beautiful wedding with a great venue.

One of our guests said he has never finished his plate at a wedding but that he did so at the ours because the food at the Barn was just that good. The hors d'oeuvres were also a hit! The bridal suite was stunning and spacious and our day-of attendant was there for absolutely everything we needed and more!! Location and vicinity to everything in the area is perfect and we have not a single complaint or regret about the day- largely due to the work of the staff at the Barn to make it all come together! Our coordinator Danielle worked so well with other vendors, was attentive to guest needs/requests and was so responsive, understanding, and flexible during the entire planning process. We truly cannot recommend the Barn enough to anyone who wants a perfect day!

All of our day-of staff were phenomenal as well, with a special shoutout to Katie, our bridal attendant who absolutely blew us all away with her bubbly personality and ability to somehow be everywhere all at once. We literally did not have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day! The only hiccup we had was with our food tasting. We used the off-season menu (which is a little more limited) and the tasting provided more food off of the main menu, so we couldn't try a lot of the dishes we were considering. We were also disappointed in the quality of the food that night, but plans were already set so we just kept our fingers crossed that the wedding would be different. Luckily the food well exceeded our expectations the day-of, and we received many compliments from our guests. Overall, everything turned out beautifully and we couldn't recommend this venue enough!

Day of, Madison was an incredibly attentive wedding attendant and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, even getting me some chamomile tea to calm my nerves. The food was delicious and despite the muggy, humid weather, the reception space remained comfortable which helped keep our dance floor full all night long! The whole day flowed seamlessly and we had the best time, we would recommend the Barn to anyone!

She made sure my bustle was always done, that we ate, and always had a drink in our hand. We had the beef filet and salmon w/pineapple mango salsa. Our friends who were vegan & vegetarian raved about the food as well. We had a 3 tier cake and the barn staff were great at giving everyone a little sampling of the different flavors. I would recommend the barn to anyone looking for a modern barn wedding. The location was ideal for our family traveling from all over MA. The food was amazing and the top tier service made it even better.

After going back and forth on whether we should use the bridal suite at the venue for the whole day (for an additional charge), we opted to do so and are glad that we did. The space is beautiful and made our wedding day even more special. We used the Winthrop Room for the ceremony and the Barn for our reception. We loved the look of both rooms, and the amount of space was perfect for the number of guests we had (about 100) – roomy enough to give everyone a bit of space while still feeling intimate. The food was absolutely delicious, and the bar service (with signature drinks) was great. Special thanks to all the workers and our coordinator, Amber, who helped us out during both the rehearsal and wedding day! You really made our day. Lastly, if you aren’t from the area and are wondering about whether or not to have a wedding in Sturbridge – we definitely recommend it. My wife and I are native Rhode Islanders, but after going to a friend’s wedding last year in Sturbridge we explored the area some more and chose it for our wedding. It has a quaint New England feel to it but still has some nice options for cafes/bars/food for guests. There’s a number of hotels nearby that make staying over for you and your guests easy to manage (we stayed at the Comfort Inn and also recommend it!).

She kept us updated on the groom’s arrival and kept us on schedule prior to the ceremony. You can tell she loves being apart of the day and wants to make things as great as possible. Danielle at the barn is fantastic, highly organized and responsive. Our guests commented several times on how wonderful the staff and food was. My husband and I are blown away by these incredible people and we want to thank you for making our wedding so much more than we dreamed. We will continue to rave about this venue/staff!!

There was another wedding going on in the Winthrop room while we had ours in the Barn, but there was no overlap and we completely forgot/never noticed there was another wedding at the same time as ours. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and are so glad that we chose The Barn at Wight Farm for our wedding.
