My dress was absolutely beautiful. But, we did not have the best experience regarding my husband's vest.
This store was 0/9 on the suits we ordered for my wedding. They sent the wrong size shoes, pants, shirts...wrong size on something for Every Single one of my guys!! AND they gave yellow stained white collared shirts & thought it was acceptable. It's way over priced for the all around poor quality.
So. Disappointed.
Would NEVER use them again.
This was the first bridal store I went to try on dresses. Naturally, I knew nothing but DeAnn was very professional and kind. She showed me different options and recommendations for what to look for. She wasn’t pushy in anyway, and she was more than helpful when I asked questions. Although I did not find my dress here, I would recommend over and over. I also love that they are locally owned and operated, which has made the process much easier for past customers that I personally know, as I am from this area.
Kate helped me find my perfect dress! She sat down and actual listened to what I want & after trying on 4 dresses I found the one. Brides world is absolutely amazing, I bought all my prom dresses there years ago and was so excited to be buying my wedding dress from there as well. The owner even came out and gave me great compliments, talked with my mom & kept her company while I was changing.
I also would give them 5/5 for covid precautions, everyone wore masks and I was the only bride in there as you had to make an appointment. I drove over 10 hours to get my dress from there as I don’t live in the area anymore and I would drive 10 hours again for the great customer service and dress selection!
I had a terrible experience with The Bride's World and will not recommend this shop to anyone nor ever step foot into there again. I called to have my dress pressed since it was a local shop and easier the week of the wedding. I was quoted one price and told to drop off the monday before my wedding after they examined my dress in person. I came in to drop off my dress and was told my dress would cost double to press. The owner was rude to me but did say she would do the job and would part steam/part press the dress for the initial amount I was quoted. I was within days of my wedding and had no other place to take my dress at this point. I received a call the next day and was told the dress was completed. It looks just as wrinkled as the day I brought it in. The owner only steamed the dress and lied to me regarding what she was going to do. She was extremely rude on the phone when I questioned why it was not pressed at all and reported "it was too heavy". I am terribly upset with the the treatment and service and hope I can prevent another bride from the same issue. Terribly unprofessional.
I had an amazing experience at The Brides World! I walked in not expecting to buy a dress since it was the first place that I had gone. Emily was SO helpful, she helped me look for dresses, made me feel very comfortable and was patient. I ended up falling in love with the first dress that I put on, I tried on a few others that she helped me into and I went back to the first dress and Said Yes to the dress! Thank you so much for all of your help, it was a great experience!
I went twice and wasn't very impressed. They have a very nice selection but the sales woman I got (I got her both times) was very pushy and put me in dresses I didn't want to be in (She told me I needed to try things out of my comfort zone) by the end I was so sick of trying on dresses I just wanted to go home. She also didn't know how to put the dresses on me, I had to explain it to her. I ended up getting my dress somewhere else and went back to look for a veil. Again she was like a hawk and wouldn't let me just browse, I found one I liked but wasn't ready to commit and she was just pushy. I think it would have been a great place to find my dress and veil but she just ruined the whole experience.
Got my dress here today! Absolutely gorgeous and had a great experience. Kelly helped me and actually picked out a dress I never would have picked up and of course that was the one I fell in love with. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly!
Although I spent most of my time with DeAnne and Kelly, everyone that I encountered were exceptional. This is my first experience trying on wedding dresses and from this experience, they treated my maid of honor and friends that were in attendance as well as myself with patience and kindness. I think I found my dress from here but I am not certain just yet.
I could not have selected a better place to purchase my dress! The ladies who work here know how to treat a bride and were wonderful to me during the entire dress-buying process. They go out of their way to make you feel like you are their only customer and took time to make my dress exactly as I had visioned! I felt as beautiful as ever on my wedding day thanks to them! I couldn't have been happier with the personal and professional treatment I received from The Brides World. My mom purchased her dress from this company and I look forward to the same wonderful experience with my daughter! These ladies are so sweet and genuinely love what they do!
I will write this review as objectively as possible, but I unfortunately would not recommend The Bride's World at all. I stopped here for my dress after an unsuccessful trip to David's bridal. Bride's World had an OK dress that they ASSURED me they could alter on the clearance rack so I ended up buying it ONE YEAR before my wedding. I asked multiple times if they were sure they could do the alterations and also offered on various occasions to just leave the dress as it was and/or take it elsewhere. They repeatedly assured me that they could do the alterations and convinced me to move forward. After 2 fittings, putting a plan in place for alterations, and ordering a custom veil, AND paying for EVERYTHING (except alterations of course) in full, I did not hear from the shop for 3 months! I called in and they set an appointment for 2 weeks out so they could "finish" (I think start) the alterations. A week before my appointment, we ended up cancelling our wedding, but I completely understood that I would be obligated to pay for alterations, and assumed I would just let them know and take my dress, that I paid for. When I told them the wedding was cancelled, I was given a guilt trip about how difficult the alterations were and asked how long ago I had cancelled the wedding. I think that if you are selling something, and I buy it, it's really none of your business what I do with it when I leave the shop. I should be able to walk in and buy a dress off the rack and walk out with it, right? I then tried on the dress to find out only half of the alterations were done, not to mention I hated what they had done to the dress. Hated it. My first thought was honestly, "Well at least the wedding is cancelled so whatever." I wanted to take the dress and veil with me so I could just be done with the situation, but they basically held them both hostage. They said I should think about weather I wanted the dress boxed or bagged and to let them know. I called the next day and told them they could just box the dress. (It's nothing fancy, it's honestly shoved into a brown shipping box and sealed with packaging tape.) I did not hear from them for another 4 months!! I called and asked about the dress and they said I could pick it up. A few days after picking the dress up I realized I never got my veil, which they also refused to let me take home throughout this whole process. I stopped in to pick up the veil 3 days ago and first they said it was in the box with my dress. When I told them that I opened the box at home and it was not in there, they said they "Couldn't find it" and said they would have someone call me the next day. I'm just going to assume I'm out the veil at this point because I can't even set foot in that place I don't think. I hate losing money but luckily my husband and I are fortunate enough to just cut our losses at this point on this whole experience. I wanted to have a positive experience here, and I always went in there with "my ducks in a row" and never made it hard on them. But my god, to many hoops for someone who is the BRIDE to have to go through.
The girls at Brides World were wonderful. I looked all over the state and ended up finding my perfect dress 3 miles down the road.
I had bought my dress here, it was local, and they would store my dress until my wedding. I was completely satisfied with my dress, of course I did buy it off the floor because they had just received it in and I was the first to even put it on. After purchasing my dress there, I decided to get our bridesmaid dresses there as well (I had 8 girls). When the dresses came in, about 4 months before our wedding, 2 of the girls dresses didn't fit them. When we ordered extra material for them so that they could get altered, they said it would be 2 weeks. well 3 weeks before the wedding and only SOME of it came in!! Our seamstress had to work miracles (and fast) in order to get their dresses completed with what material she got. I was definitely upset about the girl's dresses, but if I hadn't had a good experience buying my dress, I would have scored them lower.
My dress was gorgeous!!!! And best of all, it wasn't the same dresses that David's Bridal has, making my dress a showstopper! Only flaw is alterations are PRICEY!
