Destiny & Light was the perfect choice for hair and make up for our wedding! They were able to quickly get us the information and pricing for our amount of people and had the most positive attitudes! My hair and make up lasted all night and I could not have been happier with the results! Would definitely recommend then if you are on the fence!

Emma and Amber were amazing!!! Me, my mother and my mother in law were all in awe of how our hair and makeup turned out!! All of my friends said I looked like I was from a fairytale! Would 200% recommend for people to use this combo if they can at Destiny and Light!!!

The work that Priscilla, Amber, and Ashley did was more than I could have asked for. I don't know how but the hair and makeup looked better than the trial run. They were on punctual and flexible. They drove to my friend's house where we were getting ready and they even finished ahead of schedule. We loved them and recommend them.

I had a truly disappointing experience with this hair company on my wedding day. Despite our appointment being scheduled for 8 am, they texted at 8:05 am to say they were 15 minutes away—and then went to the wrong location. This delay pushed our start time back by an hour. The results were far from what I had expected. My hair looked nothing like the picture I had provided; in fact, the style was so unattractive that I had to wear my veil throughout the night to cover it. My mother was also unhappy with her hairstyle, but due to the time crunch, she was stuck with it. My maid of honor and two bridesmaids ended up going back to our suite to curl their own hair because their styles fell apart. This company’s lack of professionalism and disregard for timelines caused an immense amount of stress on my wedding day. We were supposed to be ready by 11:15 am, but we didn't finish until 12 pm. The owner's response to my complaint was unsatisfactory; I only heard from an assistant who suggested I "account for human error." I would never recommend this company to anyone. Professionalism and respect for timelines are crucial, especially on a day as important as a wedding.

I had such an amazing experience with Emma and Jackie - I wasn't able to schedule a test run because it was a destination wedding, but they did an absolutely amazing job. They were very laid back and fun to work with, and everyone's hair and makeup looked stunning!

They were amazing, cannot say enough good words. Bridesmaid makeup all looking good and natural, really fitting for each girl. Bride looks were exactly what I wanted even though the trial was not exactly the same.

Jackie did a great job for my hair and makeup. I highly recommend a trial if you don't typically wear much makeup or if you are not totally sure on what you want. I ended up loving my makeup on the wedding day because of the changes I made from the trial

Emma was wonderful! She did a fabulous job with my hair and make up and was flexible enough to adjust timelines to meet my expectations. I was a bit overwhelmed by the contract and emails, but luckily had a very positive experience.

Got a quote in April, booked and signed our contract less than a month later. I did a trial in August. As I’m on my way to their studio, I get a message from Priscilla asking for me to stop and grab her Starbucks. I had never met this woman before or even spoken to her on the phone. I thought it a bit unprofessional but did it anyways out of the kindness of my heart. Fast forward to a month before my wedding. I go to pay our invoice and find out that between getting quoted for the services and signing our contract, they increased their prices. Yes, I should have read my contract better but I thought this was a company that was trustworthy so I assumed the prices would have been as quoted. I felt awful for my bridesmaids who I had given the original pricing then had to break the bad news. I reached out to see if they would work with us to honor the original prices but they were not. Fast forward again to our wedding day, Pricilla’s assistants arrived on time, however, Pricilla was a half hour late which meant that my bridesmaids got their hair and makeup started but the bride had to wait. Again, I thought that was unprofessional. She did a lot of work on my hair and makeup, it looked great, I looked great. But the terrible customer service left a bad taste in my mouth and left me feeling like I got screwed over. In addition, the information in their emails and on their contracts is unnecessarily lengthy with many typos and even contradicting information. I’m glad others have had good experiences but I wish I went with a different company for my hair and makeup for these reasons.

Priscilla and team was absolutely incredible! They were extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and had good communication - something very important being a destination wedding. My flight was extremely delayed the day of the trial and Priscilla and team kindly waited and worked with our timing. My party and myself looked absolutely stunning and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They were flexible day of in adding people and managed time well. Thank you for making my day!!

My wedding was on May 13th, I hired Pricilla to do my hair and makeup and her team to do my bridal parties hair and makeup. Honestly, I would not recommend using Destiny and Light because of the stress they caused from lack of customer service, their lack of professionalism and attitude, and the quality of the end product. I thought because they had great reviews on the Knot that it would be an easy and stress free hire- but overall I was very disappointed. On the wedding day, Priscilla's team was late because, according to them, the valet of our hotel would not allow them to valet their cars which caused them to have to park on the lower level and carry their supplies, resulting in all the stylists being in sour moods from the start as well as being late. As a result of their lateness, my mom, who had requested the Hollywood hair style and paid extra for it had to go first to get her hair and makeup done, my mom didn't complete her hair and make-up until after my bridal hair and make-up was finished, meaning she missed literally spending the whole part of me putting on my dress and getting ready as a bride because the team was late! I brought this issue up with the management of the hotel after the wedding and they explained that they have worked with Destiny and Light numerous times before the stylists have never been allowed to valet their cars, the hotel further explained that they have told the Destiny and Light team on several previous occasions that the valet team will not valet their vehicles and that they should plan to park their own cars. Regarding my hair (the bride), I asked for the Hollywood wave, my curls fell out as soon as Pricilla left. I had to re-curl my hair right before our entrance to our reception (I kid you not, I was literally standing in the middle of the hotel lobby with a curling iron curling my own hair right before the reception because it looked so bad), and my hairpiece that Pricilla put in fell out right after our entrance because it wasn't pinned securely. I'm so disappointed because I thought Priscilla, who had the proper training from studying hair in Russia and all the money that I spent on having Priscilla as my stylist, would do such a great job. Every time I look at my wedding photos I get so upset because they were ruined by my hair, my hair looked more like a bird's nest rather than a very expensive bridal hair and makeup at the end. If I could go back and pick a different hair and makeup team I absolutely would.

We used Destiny and Light for our wedding on 04/15/2023 and absolutely enjoyed working with them! Communication throughout the planning process was great and they were there to work through my getting ready timeline and answer any questions I had along the way. I worked with Angel for my hair and makeup trial and makeup for the big day, Priscilla for hair for the girls, and we also used David for groomsmen services which was a great addition! All 3 staff members we worked with did an amazing job and helped all of our party members look their best for our big day. They were also fun and felt like part of the party as we were getting ready. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

Let me prefice this with saying that the hair and makeup artists are outstanding and they will do a phenomenal job if you hire them; it is the company as a whole that I have issues with. Pros: The artists are friendly, professional, and very talented at what they do. We had Amanda, Jackie, and Sarah and we could not be happier with our hair and makeup results the day of the wedding. They made everyone look beautiful and flawless. They were on time, professional, and lovely to work with. Cons: 1) The forms/paperwork: The company makes you fill out a lot of online forms and paperwork to answer questions. Some of it is necessary, but some of it was a waste of time, and it seems as if they didn't even read it. The forms will force you to answer questions that may not be applicaple and force you to upload photos for things that don't apply. They also have outdated information on their website and forms about covid-19 procedures, which is annoying. 2) Lack of communication: I signed a contract with the company about 4 months before my wedding and communication was extremely difficult the entire time. If I had a questions or needed to change my appointment for a trial it was very hard to get in touch with them. If you call no one answers. It takes several days to get a response. 3) Unprofessional company/owners: They never sent me a schedule/details about the day of my wedding. I reached out to them via email about 3 weeks before my wedding. I wasn't getting a response so I had to text Amanda about it. When they sent me the schedule they only gave us 2 artists and had us starting to get ready at 7:00am for a 5:00pm ceremony. I also stated in the forms that I filled out for them that we are not allowed to arrive to our venue any early than 9am (they clearly never read it). When I reached out to them and told them it was ridiculous and didn't work for us. They said we would have to start getting ready that morning at a different location (which they expected me to provide) and then we would relocate to the venue. Again, I was extremely mad and upset that they would be telling me this 2.5 weeks out from my wedding. I told them that we were not prepared for that and should have been notified much sooner if that was the case. The owner called me and I explained the situation and that I was not happy about it. He said they found a 3rd makeup artist for our wedding party, but that we would have to pay the $150 fee for the extra artist. I told him that I did not agree with that at all. I understand that it is in their paperwork that they charge that for an extra artist, but nowhere in their paperwork or website does it give any information about how many artists they typically send for a certain amount of services so I had no idea how many my wedding party would need and they never informed me. If we required an extra artist they just should have notified me much sooner and I would have been happy to pay the fee. Their paperwork says that they will work with you to get the schedule and artists that you need, but that is not what happened in this case at all. He agreed to give me 50% off of the $150 fee. However, when they charged my card they charged me the full fee + tax and a 18% gratuity. When they refunded, they refunded exactly $75 instead of refunding 50% so basically I stilled paid the tax and 18% gratuity for the $150 charge, which I also think is BS, but it wasn't worth saying anything to them about it.

The services they provided were great, however, the communication/customer service was horrible, especially right at the end. Long story short, since nobody got back to me via email/phone/text/etc., I ended up having to text the stylist the day before my wedding to make sure they knew the time frame that they had to get everyone's hair and makeup done. They basically told me that they would do their best to get everyone done in time. That being said, they had plenty of time to get everyone done and they did great work, just not great communication.

Destiny and Light was an excellent company to work with! From the beginning they were responsive, helpful, flexible, and answered all the questions I had! My makeup and hair artists were very friendly and professional, and made me feel extremely comfortable on my wedding day. They fixed anything that my bridesmaids didn’t like on the spot and made sure everyone liked their looks before the wedding started. I would highly recommend this company for any important event!

Dream come true! This was money well spent. The Destiny & Light team was amazing. They made everyone look and feel gorgeous. They were so professional! I was a obsessed with how my hair and makeup turned out. Angel did an amazing job! Definitely hire them for your big day, you won’t regret it. Destiny and Light is amazing! They did wedding day hair and makeup for myself, my sister, my mom, and my sister's girlfriend. Amanda and Sarai were our stylists and they made the process so easy and fun! And we all looked beautiful too!

My husband and I got married on 12/4/22 at Cross Creek Ranch. Amanda and the rest of her team were amazing to work with. I never felt so beautiful as I did the day of my wedding and my bridal party looked stunning. They made sure that we felt 110% satisfied with our hair/makeup and made any necessary adjustments. I'm so grateful for them and I couldn't recommend them enough!

Destiny and Light, and my hair/makeup stylist Amanda, were AMAZING. They were so flexible and agreed to do a trial for me on a Sunday because I live out of state and that was the only time I could do one. They were very responsive to all communication and the schedule they created for the day of was so organized (I am a planner-type, so this was very comforting for me). Amanda was such a kind, genuine, and calm presence and my whole bridal party loved her. I love that she was able to meet us at the hotel to start in the morning and then was able to transfer to the venue to finish up later in the day. Not to mention my hair and makeup stayed put even in the Florida humidity and through getting rain poured on me! I cannot recommend Destiny and Light, and Amanda, enough! Book them NOW!

Highly recommend Destiny and Light for wedding hair and makeup. I had my trial with Amanda and was blown away by her talent! She did my wedding hair and makeup and brought Emma and Renee who were also amazing, and did my bridesmaids and flower girls. Very professional, friendly and most importantly completed everyone before our ready time! Thank you Amanda for making me feel and look so beautiful on my wedding day!

I used Priscilla from Destiny & Light for just my hair and she did a phenomenal job! Is she not only talented, but she's also super fun! Priscilla brought 2 of her team members, Kay & Sarai, and they did my bridesmaids hair and makeup. My girls had such a wonderful time and they looked absolutely beautiful. I would absolutely book them again.

OMG!!!!! I have nothing but praise for this company. The gal that did our hair and makeup was Amanda and omg she is beyond talented. I cried so much (happy tears) at my wedding and my makeup did not run once. I ended the evening looking the exact same way ad when she first completed my look. My sisters looked incredible as well. I highly recommend this company 10 our of 10. I wish I lived closer, I would use them for all my beauty needs.

I am usually very skeptical about how I like my hair and makeup. Destiny & Light lived up to every expectation I had. I did my trail and wedding day with Amanda and I was in awe how incredibly talented she is. The vision I had for myself was made possible and even better because of her. She made me look and feel like the most beautiful person in the world. She is very personable and made the whole experience very enjoyable. My bridesmaids still rave about her to this day. Would go back any given opportunity!

I booked my hair and makeup for my wedding in May 2022 with Density and Light. My stylist was Angel, and she was just that! She took my vision and was able to make it real with a very simple but elegant hairstyle and the perfect mix of natural but elegant makeup. She was fun to be around, professional, and flexible. Her and her teammate also did several of my bridesmaids as well as my mother, and everyone was very happy with their looks. Most of my ladies got different hair and makeup styles (as in there wasn't a singular hairstyle they did) and I think they did an amazing job of making everyone look unique but cohesive, as well as make everyone's hair and makeup look good for their unique look. I would 100% recommend them for your event, you will not be disappointed with the quality or the personalities of your team :)

Communication with the owner and office was great. Very efficient. Sent a detailed schedule, mostly kept to it, and were flexible with adding an extra person morning of.

I did my trial with Amanda and knew as soon as I met her that I needed her on my wedding day! She listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel so beautiful. I received many compliments throughout the night on how great my makeup looked and couldn’t believe how well my hair and makeup stayed.. Amanda and Jasmine were wonderful to work with as we were getting ready and made all of us look amazing! I believe you can’t go wrong with anyone on the Destiny and Light team!

I knew Destiny & Light was the right choice for my hair and makeup as soon as I started my trial with Vanessa. She asked all the right questions and understood exactly what I was looking for. She nailed everything the first time around, no changes needed. On my wedding day, the team was prompt, efficient, friendly, and fun. My bridesmaids, junior bridesmaid, mom, mother-in-law, and I all looked great and were ready ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Destiny & Light for any bride-to-be!

My review of this company is just that, a review of the company. My personal stylist Ashley was incredible and is a separate review. This company was recommended to me based on my desire for the "glam Hollywood waves" that owner/stylist Pricilla has trained in Russia to complete. I was excited that my initial request (a filled out form online) was met with an immediate response e-mail, until I realized that every subsequent e-mail I sent would also be responded with the "WELCOME !!!! (insert huge e-mail lots of colors with outdated information )" robot form. It was initially off putting because the referred to "robot e-mail" stated that "BUSY SEASON - Tuesday - Friday 10 AM TO 4 P.M - LIMITED HOURS!!!! PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT ANSWER CALLS OR EMAILS OUTSIDE OF THESE HOURS. YOU CAN REQUEST A SCHEDULED CALL OUTSIDE OF THOSE HOURS AND WE WILL WORK TO ACCOMODATE. PLEASE NOTE OFFICE HOURS DO NOT AFFECT SCHEDULE TRIAL RUNS AND WEDDINGS. " However, I had done my research and I really wanted to have this hairstyle and this was the place to go. After I finally got a hold of a human we were able to schedule a trial I received multiple e-mails "did you get our e-mail we want to talk to you". I had hoped that responding would stop the auto-emailing but it did not. The studio is nice, clean, cute. I was offered a drink when I got there. The trial went well, like I said I liked my stylist. We got to the time to make a schedule, I was told that 2 stylists would be coming to my get ready room. I changed the "schedule" to suite my bridesmaids schedules as well as to fit in with makeup. The stylists arrived on time, happy, professional. But that is where it ends. My stylist lets call her "B" I had met at the trial, and the other stylist lets call her "S" came with her. According to the original schedule provided by the salon "S" was to complete all of my bridesmaids hair (1/2 up 1/2 down as known ahead of time), and "B" was supposed to do mine, and a few of the matron blow-outs. It was very obvious almost immediately that "S" was a brand new stylist, asking "B" what products to use for a blow out, what size brush and ignoring the client (my mother in law) when she specified that her hair was fine and needed extra help. My mother in laws 50 min blow out fell almost immediately. "S" was trusted only to assist, by curling the hair for all of the styles. 2 of my 4 bridesmaids had burnt hair. This left all the styling, My 2 hour style and 6 other styles to "B", which just set her up for failure. I reached out to the company since 1 service was not rendered (flight troubles), both blow outs fell and were redone by the clients themselves, and 2 of 5 up do's had burnt hair. I got a human email and was told that it would be forwarded to the owner, 3 weeks later I reached out again after not being contacted, I was again not answered. Over 50% of the services ($400+ in services) were unsatisfactory. Nothing was done in an attempt to rectify this situation and as a bride it made me feel awful. 1) I felt awful that my friends and family paid money for unsatisfactory services 2) I felt bad for the stylists mainly "B" who was responsible for 12+ hairstyles ultimately by herself. "S" was nice and was trying, but just was not up to par on skills to be responsible for 1/2 of the styles for an event. Very Very unhappy, Book if you have to but know what you are getting into. 2 e-mail attempts and no response as of 2 months post event.
