The Exchange at Mount Pleasant

We used The Exchange as our venue for our June wedding and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is gorgeous and was a great size for our 50 person wedding. We loved using the fireplace as our backdrop and all of our guests raved about the gorgeous light fixture in the center of the room. We captured these features in our wedding photos and they look amazing. Along with the venue, Kenzie is the sweetest, most accommodating person to work with! She was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and took extra steps to make sure we had everything we needed along the way. I could not have asked for a better venue or a better venue director. I would highly recommend using The Exchange! :)

Kenzie and her team were fantastic!! She is so sweet and professional! Kenzie went above and beyond for us, and we appreciate you so much. Her response time was within an hour, if not minutes. She answered all questions we had and went into detail about anything that we needed to clarify. We cannot express how much working with her meant to us. We live out of state, so she gave us the option to Facetime for our final walkthrough, and that was extremely helpful. Her communication with us was also a plus. We were so grateful that this was one vendor we did not have to worry about because of the communication and professionalism. You displayed. There were no hidden fees, and everything we discussed was in place for our wedding day! The venue was terrific, and let's not forget about the beautiful bridal suite. Kenzie, personally, thank you so much! It feels good that we can add you to our wedding memories as one of the best vendors to work with during one of the most significant moments in our Lives. The exchange was a beautiful venue! We absolutely love the rustic appeal of the inside, and beautiful custom lighting. Kenzie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so quick in responding to any inquiries and was very flexible in making our big day perfect! I highly recommend the exchange you won’t regret it!!

Such a beautiful place to get married! And I love that they allowed us to bring in our own vendors. Kenzie was wonderful to work with through out the planning process for any questions I had and the bridal sweet was perfect to hang out and get ready in. My only suggestion is to allow bridal party and makeup to arrive by 10am on Saturday weddings instead of noon because with most parties that’s when hair and makeup starts. Other than that they are a great price option for here in Charleston and really love you let you do your own thing with the space. Thank you!!

We could not have asked for a better venue or team to work with to celebrate our wedding! Kenzie is absolutely incredible. She was so accommodating and was there for us every step of the way. We used so many of her vendor recommendations and they were all incredible. The venue was perfect and came together so beautifully for our special day. My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Exchange. Kenzie was extremely helpful and supportive during the planning process. She was always available for my many questions. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and our day couldn't have gone any more perfect. The getting ready area is very nice and the porch is a great space for pictures. We truly enjoyed our experience.

We are SO happy we chose The Exchange for our Wedding Day. My husband and I needed a place that had ample parking (especially for our elderly attendees), was large enough to host the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all on site, and was warm & welcoming to all of our guests--The Exchange met and exceeded all of these needs. This venue is so spacious and for such a reasonable price (this is a rarity in the Charleston area). Kenzie is great to work with and the team at The Exchange made transitions seamless. All of our guest kept talking about how amazing the venue was inside and out. This venue is a hidden gem in the area for now, but I am sure it will become one of the most popular venues in no time. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The Exchange was an absolutely marvelous venue. The space is so picturesque and you can really tailor the space for whatever vision you have for your wedding. Our guests especially loved the wrap around porch. Working with Kenzie was so easy, she helped us throughout our lengthy planning process and always made sure to confirm dates and ideas we planned to implement. We were overjoyed with our wedding and having The Exchange as our venue was a large part of that.

The venue is so beautiful! I had my wedding there two weeks ago, it was perfect! The decoration style is very rustic and romantic, I didn't have to bring extra decor at all! The best part is the fireplace and the ceiling lights, the ballroom is breathtaking! Love working with Kenzie! Always there to answer questions and solve problems. Couldn't have had this perfect wedding without her help!

There are truly no words for what this venue & its people mean to us. Kenzie was a dream to work with. The wooden chandeliers, the immaculate bridal suite, the beautiful mantle, the wrap around porch....I could go on and on. Everything about this venue was so romantic & beautiful and I could not IMAGINE being married somewhere else. It beats all others in Charleston. It’s budget friendly, it’s insanely gorgeous and it will always be a place near and dear to our hearts. If you are considering a Charleston wedding, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not touring here. We love you guys SO much and can not thank you enough for making our night perfect.

The exchange was the perfect venue! The bridal suite they had for us to get ready in was awesome, big vanity mirror, couches, mini fridge. And then the venue it’s self it gorgeous with wood accents everywhere & the giant porch out front. Kenzie made planning super easy & smooth. Loved that we were able to get in early before the wedding to get ready & hang out and that they had a team we could hire to flip the room after the ceremony for the reception made the transition so easy! Really beautiful place with a great staff!

You can't go wrong with this venue! The staff here are very easy to work with and so kind. Kenzie is absolutely amazing!! She even included a special gift for us in the bridal suite the day of our wedding. She is so thoughtful! The venue itself has a breathtaking wrap around porch, unique furniture, and a magical chandelier in the main event space (ask about the twinkle setting for the lights- my favorite part) and matching wooden beams in the foyer area. We had a blast using this space for our wedding and would highly recommend The Exchange to anyone else looking for an intimate spot to get married.

The Exchange was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. Kenzie was so easy to work with and helped us every step of the way, never tiring of answering questions and offering suggestions when asked. The bridal suite and groom's room were a bonus and exactly what we needed. They offer plenty of room for a large bridal party. The ballroom is breathtaking and the wrap around porch simply beautiful! The scenery around the venue made for perfect photos. We had a guest count of 160 and had plenty of room for everyone! I would highly recommend this venue!

The Exchange was the perfect venue for our wedding! The space is a blank slate and you can incorporate any wedding theme or colors you want so easily. The staff was so easygoing and incredibly helpful. We were able to drop by to see the space anytime during our planning journey. The day of the wedding, we had the entire space to ourselves including a lovely bridal suite. The weather cooperated with us on our special day which meant guests got to enjoy inside as well as the spacious outdoor area. The Exchange staff knows how special and unique your wedding is and they do their best to accomodate your needs!

The Exchange was the perfect venue for us! We packed it out with 160 guests and the room felt very full. Even with a band, full stage, and 3 stations for catering. The lobby was perfect for cocktail hour was 2 built in bars where guests mingled inside and on the front porch during the room flip. Kenzie was so helpful and allowed us to do as many sight visits beforehand as we needed. Highly recommend!

The Exchange is a phenomenal venue. We loved how cozy the space felt with the lighting, hardwood floors, and fireplace that served as the backdrop for our ceremony. Also, Kenzie and all of the staff were truly an ease to work with. This indoor venue gave us the peace of mind that should the weather turn against us on our day, we could still celebrate in someplace beautiful.

The perfect wedding venue! The director, Kenzie, is super sweet, easy to communicate with and made sure everything was taken care of for our big day. We opted to have our ceremony and reception here because we didn't want to be at the mercy of summer weather. Best, and easiest choice we made during the entire wedding process. It was GORGEOUS and we were able to use the clean slate concept of The Exchange to create the fun, wildflower wedding dreams are made of. The Exchange staff that was there was so professional and made it fun (Shout out to Declan)! Anything we needed was immediately taken care of and I cannot imagine a smoother venue experience. It is beautiful and you can truly make it your own for whatever concept you can dream up. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT AMAZING FIREPLACE, THOUGH?! If you want a beautiful venue with incredible support from all staff, enviable pictures, and reasonable pricing go with Kenzie and her team. Literally, no snafus or even hiccups from The Exchange. Do your wedding a favor and book here. They have an amazing bridal suite with wine and chocolate awaiting you, a room with leather lounge chairs for the guys to chill, and a beautiful wrap around porch where the possibilities are endless. Super dreamy, super professional, super YES! I would give bonus stars if I could!

Being able to have my wedding at The Exchange was the best experience I could have asked for. The director, Kenzie, was a dream to work with as she was very communicative and helpful during the planning process, not to mention her genuine excitement for us. She helped us navigate and offered great advice for things like tricky vendor drop offs, decorations and room-flipping, and even day-of hiccups and setup. Since the venue is fully decorated for normal use, We we’re able to utilize or rent some existing furniture and decorations which made our lives so much easier! Aside from the awesome staff, the venue itself is beautiful. It’s a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures! We held our cocktail hour on the wrap-around porch with games and an outdoor bar, which is one of my favorite features of the building. On the day of our wedding, I arrived at the bridal suite to my favorite wine and chocolate and a sweet note complimentary of the venue—one of many examples of how detail-oriented and intimate having our wedding at the exchange was. 10/10 recommend.

I am so happy that I discovered The Exchange! I was getting discouraged trying to find the perfect place for my now husband and me, but when I saw the pictures I had to see it in person. This building is simply gorgeous. We were able to have our ceremony and reception all in one place plus have a stunning setting for pictures. There's a bride's room and groom's room! When we met with Kenzie I was even more sold. Beautiful venue plus wonderful Kenzie equals no brainer. Kenzie was always kind, prompt in response to emails and texts and left me the sweetest treats on wedding day. We originally booked but had to push back our ceremony because of Covid. Kenzie made no fuss and let us move to a new date effortlessly. I honestly have no complaints, I am that impressed and that happy with my choice. Working with Kenzie was stress free! Do yourself a favor and book The Exchange!

We picked The Exchange as our venue for our wedding in December 2020. It was FANTASTIC. Not only is the location beautiful but Kenzie is AMAZING. I absolutely loved the fire place and the chandelier the most for structure! Kenzie is also super helpful with so much and is super sweet! I absolutely adore her! I tell everyone about this venue now.

The Exchange is a fantastic wedding venue! First of all, the ballroom is gorgeous! It has an amazing, unique chandelier. There is also a fireplace that serves as a great backdrop for the couple during the ceremony. Also, the staff at The Exchange was a delight to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Kenzie was our point of contact during the planning. She was so patient and kind to answer all of our questions so quickly and thoroughly. I am so glad to have had our wedding at The Exchange!

The Exchange is on beautiful grounds, but being an August wedding, we needed a beautiful inside and The Exchange delivers. Kenzie was always prompt with communication, professional and truly a delight to work with. The other venue staff was wonderful too and I cannot recommend this venue enough!

Everyone who works for The Exchange was extremely accommodating. They made the bridal and groom suite perfect for us. The cocktail hour room is perfect with its own bar and furniture, while the ceremony/reception room easily fit 160 people. We even had our rehearsal dinner there the night before and it was perfect. I’d love to do it over again!

We got married at The Exchange on October 26th 2019. The venue is beautiful and Kenize is great to work with. However we did have some issues. After signing our contract, more fees were added on. The fees were understandable BUT it would of been a bit more professional on their end to have let us know ahead of time prior to signing something that was already agreed upon. There was major lack of communication on the amenities that could and could not be used. For example, weeks prior to our wedding, we were given the okay to come in and check out the place again so we brought our wedding planner with us to check it out and a gentleman who worked there “overheard” our conversation on what ideas we had as for setting up and what we were thinking about using. The gentleman passed it on to the Event Manager, Kenzie. She ended up reaching out to us about what the gentleman “heard” and wanted to get an understanding as to how we were decorating. We felt that wasn’t the gentleman’s place because we weren’t with him. We were working directly with Kenzie and had open communication with her. We only had ideas at the time and nothing was set in stone. If he had questions about our plans, we would of been more than happy to answer anything he wanted to know instead of assuming. Also, on the day of our wedding, we had no idea we would be sharing the building with multiple people. Our contract stated we would have the entire building and not that we would be sharing with other clients . We called on the day of about this and were told that the clients were notified that there was an event going on for that day. But obviously not because at least 25-30 people were there and seemed clueless as to why we were in there way. Major lack of communication

This place is a GEM!! We were so lucky to find this space that offered a phenomenal indoor ceremony location and place for the ceremony. We did a room flip with the same beautiful room and it worked out perfectly. The staff at The Exchange is so chill and had the space ready to go for us before the rehearsal. Would 10/10 recommend to a friend.

We got married at The Exchange and had the most beautiful ceremony and reception! The space is absolutely perfect for any kind of wedding, with lots of rooms to get ready in, a kitchen with a back entrance for caterers, a beautiful fireplace that we used as our focus point, as well as 2 bars, a lobby and porch perfect for cocktail hour, and plenty of parking. The staff was so friendly and such a huge help in making everything run smoothly. Oh, and there are so many beautiful areas around to take the perfect wedding portraits. If you’re looking for an indoor venue with everything to offer, go with The Exchange and you won’t be disappointed!
