Gabriela Nevarez is the owner and head stylist at The Glamour Room. From a very young age, she showed a keen interest in hair and beauty. Gabriela's creative passion led her to formally train at The Paul Mitchell School, where she honed her craft and worked alongside some of the industry's most seasoned professionals. Today, Gabriela loves working closely with clients to enhance their appearance and amplify their confidence.
The Glamour Room offers various hair and makeup services, including upstyles, blowouts, and lash extensions. Before your wedding, you can arrange a consultation and trial run with Gabriela to establish your beauty goals and preferences. She will be happy to test out different products and styles to complement your natural beauty before you make your selection. For your makeup, you can choose airbrush foundation, contouring, and eye makeup to get that gorgeous glow. Conveniently, the staff can manage group bookings, and you can avail of styling services in the salon or on location.

Gabriela showed signs of needing help being organized since the beginning with typos in scheduling. She also has a very rude and harsh tone when trying to communicate what the different styles of hair and make up are. As a designer I know there is a nice way to educate a client where you don’t try to make the client feel stupid. She does the opposite. She also completely changed the hair and makeup schedule two days before the wedding. After calling to revert back to the original, she still continued with her schedule and was very rude about it the morning of the wedding. She was very unkind to my non English speaking family and was visibly irritated and impatient. Overall she was rude, unorganized, unprofessional, and impatient. She says she’s been doing this for river 10 years but her unprofessionalism says otherwise. She also showed up 15 minutes late.

However, because this review has been posted for everyone to see we feel obligated to respond so our current and future Brides understand that this is not the way we conduct busines...

Here's is what happened.
Throughout the entire booking process we spoke countless times to you on the phone about a timeline for your Wedding Day as you relied heavily on us to guide you as far as planning for the day off since you did not hire a Wedding Planner or Day of Planner (which was done because we love to help our brides with the knowledge we have about Wedding Days). Gabriela spent a lot of time with you on the phone suggesting what time you should have your hair and makeup done so that you did not encounter anything stressful the day of. She explained to you the importance of a timeline for Hair and Makeup and that you should go second to last but, you insisted you go last then call the week of your Wedding to have us go back to the original timeline that Gabriela had originally suggested from the beginning. The edits were made and emailed out to you as well as the other two artist.
Although personal details are not something we practice with our clients/brides. You were also very well aware that Gabriela had just lost a sister and gave birth to her first child and still showed up to be apart of your special day.
For the day off, Gabriela arrived at 8:50am for a start time of 9:00am. As she waited in her car waiting for you to guide her as you were in a very intimate conversation with the property owner and she did not want to interrupt you. You told her to park on top of a hill with no additional guidance. Gabriela called you 3 times and did not receive an answer. At about 9:10am, your sister came up to get her. Which is why she was 15 minutes late on starting services.
During all of the services with the non English speaking clients, you continued to walk away thus making it extremely challenging for communication on what they desired for Hair and Makeup.
You may have interpreted frustration from Gabriela when you wanted to change the entire timeline the day of and have the Flower girl be taken care of instead of you and Gabriela was stern and told you that her priority was you, the Bride and to not worry about the Flower girl and she will be taken care of.
With all of the above said: We are curious to know if this was your experience from the beginning with us, why did you choose to hire us?

My hair and makeup were perfect for the rehearsal dinner and wedding! I was able to get the exact look I wanted even though I wasn’t exactly sure what to ask for. The makeup and hair stayed on all night and looked great up close and in the photos!
Gabriela saved the day! My wedding party hired Gabriela as their MUA and she did not disappoint. As the bride I thought, I had hired a different MUA and she no showed. It was a bride’s worst nightmare but Gabriela saved the day! After she communicated with her next client l, she went straight to work doing my makeup. I was so grateful for her! She made sure she stayed true to who I was and made me feel beautiful on my special day. I would recommend her 100x over. She was so professional, a real talent and just overall made the experience great.
