We were so happy with how our wedding cake turned out! It was so beautiful and delicious! We did a cake testing that really helped us pick our favorite flavors. Brandy delivered and set up the day of and did an amazing job. We would highly recommend her for any event!

Our wedding cake was one of the most important aspects of our big day. From the moment we met Brandy at her beautiful shop for our tasting we instantly clicked! After my husband and I left our tasting we both turned to each other and said “I’ve never tasted any cake that good.” To this day our guests still rave about our wedding cake. We went a bit untraditional with our flavors, but that’s what made it so special. Her Nanner pudding flavor was a huge hit, everyone asked for second slices. The whole process was seem less, she understood our vision and created our dream wedding cake. She was the easiest vendor to work with! Look no further you found your cake baker! Oh and don’t forget to add on some amazing chocolate covered strawberries as well!

I cannot say enough positive things about The Icing and The Cake! When we met Brandy, she was super sweet and very creative in helping to create our cake. The cake was the best I have ever had! So light and fluffy with amazing filling and silky smooth icing. One thing I appreciated most about our experience with Brandy was the communication. She was quick to respond to any question and provided us with all the information needed. On the wedding day, she was on time and set up the cake with decorations for us. To top it all off, she left us a wedding cake ornament as a congratulatory gift.

I am so glad my daughter chose Brandy for her wedding cake as well as the grooms cake. She took the vision my daughter had for both and made them come alive. The grooms cake was so “spot on” with the envisioned theme that it brought tears to the groom and his dad. Brandy did an incredible job with our wedding cake (and gluten free cupcakes for my sister)! Not only did she do a great job executing what we asked for, she also went above and beyond and made our cake a day earlier than we had originally planned when we decided to move the wedding date last minute (about 2 days before the new wedding date) to the day before due to a tropical storm. Brandy made the cake for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious! It looked exactly the way we discussed and tasted even better than we expected. The cake tasting was a great way to try out all the flavors and mix the icing/ filling with it to see what we liked the most. Brandy was great to work with and made our experience one to remember. HIGHLY recommend! Brandy is an incredible artist and even better baker. We chose Strawberry Champagne as our top layer and it was an absolute hit. We also had chocolate and vanilla as the other two layers and everything was eaten. It made such a big difference getting to know Brandy personally at the cake tasting and you can feel the passion for her work. She takes it very serious but wants you to feel comfortable telling her what you like and don't like. We felt comfortable and supported right away from Brandy. We ended up ordering from her for the rehearsal dinner cake, a birthday cake, and desserts. Will definitely use her again if we have another event! Great price for the value.

Brandy is amazing and super sweet! She listened to what we wanted and blew us away when we saw how it was set up. We had a blast at the cake tasting and loved that we were the only ones there. We did a dessert bar with cupcakes, cookies, lemon bars, brownie bites, and a small cake for us to cut. Brandy undoubtedly knocked it out of the park with our wedding cake! Our wedding guests gave us so many compliments on how delicious our cake was. From the day we met Brandy at the tasting we immediately felt at ease hiring her. She was punctual for our first meeting and for the wedding to drop off the cake. At our tasting she provided 4 or 5 of the most popular cake flavors and we were blown away. They were amazing and I honestly dont even really eat cake as dessert. She listened to our wants and went over exactly how we wanted the cake to look as far as style, tier, color etc. We took her recommendation on the size based on our guest count and had a small amount left over which was perfect. Brandy was also very organized and laid our expectations from the start as far as the tasting, payment, and drop off procedure for the cake. The pricing was very reasonable comparatively speaking. I also loved her little bake shop!! It was so adorable. I would highly recommend working with Brandy for your wedding cake services. She will not disappoint!

Brandy created our dream wedding cake!! My parents, husband and I went into the cake tasting clueless but Brandy was so knowledgeable and passionate about her work which made us all feel so comfortable as she took us through all the delicious flavor, size and style options. The cake turned out beautiful just like in the photos. We even had Brandy make macaroons as our wedding favors that perfectly matched our wedding colors. I would recommend the chocolate raspberry macaroons!

My husband and I were already married when we hired Brandy to make our cake. We got married at the magistrate with a few witnesses and had a party with family and close friends afterward. Brandy very quickly responded to my email requesting a cake for our party(which was two weeks away). The tasting was professional and fun. Brandy was very knowledgeable and provided us with great suggestions on flavors and decorations for the cake! We had a three tiered semi- naked cake. Each tier was a different flavor. We went with lemon, key lime and raspberry champagne and they were all so delicious! She even delivered our cake to Independence, Virginia! Honestly, I would hire her to make birthday cakes for my family because her cakes are so amazing!

Most DELICIOUS cake! So many guests have gone out of their way to tell me how delicious the cake was; not just the day of the wedding but beyond. It was SO good, SO memorable. The cake was beautifully presented, delivered right on time and the company was easy to work with from beginning to end. We chose the raspberry champagne with buttercream icing. Could not have been happier!

After seeing amazing cakes in photos, I reached out to schedule a consultation. The tasting was super fun and laid back. I cannot express in words how thankful I am to Brandy for making our cake absolutely beautiful. When I first messaged her she stayed on the phone with me to talk about designs for the cake. My husband and I wanted pearls going around the border and she made those pearls look like real pearls. Everyone loved the cake and our cake flavors. Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. Brandy was so easy to work with. She was very prepared when we initially came in to taste her cakes- by far the best we had met with. We ended up going with almond pound cake, vanilla buttercream (it was light and fluffy), and a light strawberry filling. We got tons of compliments on it!

I sent her a picture of exactly what I wanted my wedding cake to look like and she created a beautiful cake that looked just like the picture, down to the smallest details! WONDERFUL vendor. I had a consult here to explore places to get my wedding cake at. I had already been to 3 wedding cake vendors before visiting Brandy at The Icing & The Cake. There was 1 of those prior 3 that tasted pretty good, but for the design I wanted the price was DOUBLE what Icing & The Cake was, which is crazy for the simple design I wanted. Brandy was super nice and our consult was GREAT. One thing I LOVE that she did was take photo of my fiance and I before we started the cake taking, and now I am so glad I have that to look back on as the day I chose my wedding cake! The shop is super small, so at first I was feeling "iffy" at the consultation but DONT let me "scare" you off. The cake tastes amazing and her prior designs are truly great. I feel like she has the quality work to be in a big giant fancy shop. Her shop is a great find that we discovered! My wedding hasn't happened yet, but I will update with the end result! Looking forward to it. So far everything has been smooth. And the owner even changed my design a few times for me as I had new ideas and she never once complained. Give this shop a try! Affordable s! as well! EDIT: After my wedding : No changed! Brandy did an amazing job and our cake came out exactly how we all drew it out! It was awesome! The taste was SOO SOO good! Many compliments from my guests about how amazing the cake and cake filling was! My mother-in-law hosted our rehearsal dinner and also got our Groom's cake from Brandy. It was ALSO amazing!

The Icing and the Cake made a 6 tier cake for our wedding and it honestly should be on the cover of a magazine. It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. We gave her just an idea of what we were looking for and she designed our dream cake ball cake! When she was making our cake, she let us know what we had originally chosen may not look as great as we had thought, so she offered an alternative that we went with and it turned out perfect. This is the only bakery we thought of when it was time to plan our wedding! We went to the tasting session and it was professional and the cakes were amazing, hands down the best cake I have ever had! (I'm not really a cake person to begin with!) We ended up going with a raspberry champagne cake and it was amazing. We explained what we were looking for and the cake and cupcakes were perfect, exactly what we wanted!! I Would defiantly recommend ordering from The Icing and The Cake, we even had them deliver the cake to our venue in Salisbury! We will be coming here for all of our celebrations in the future!

Brandy was highly recommended by 2 friends so I did not hesitate to call The Icing & The Cake. She was fabulous to work with from start to finish. She made us feel so special at our cake tasting, and was fun to work with designing the perfect cake for our theme. We had a custom made cake topper that was fragile, Brandy mounted it very securely on the cake. When I called her 2 weeks before the wedding to say we had more guests than we originally planned for, she said no problem, here's what we can do! Our cake was delivered and displayed beautifully, it was a focal point at our reception and everyone raved about how beautiful it was and how delicious! We could not have been happier!

My wife is an experienced baker, and would have baked our cake on her own, if only she had the time. In the months leading up to our wedding, we met with a dozen bakers. We had been told several times that our design could only be created in fondant. That is, until we met Brandy. She was able to flawlessly execute our design in buttercream, and FAR exceeded our expectations. She is professional, friendly, and incredibly skilled. Working from a basic sketch we provided, Brandy created EXACTLY what we envisioned. But perhaps more importantly, our guests were lining up to take home leftover slices. It was THAT good. The owner Brandi was absolutely great to work with! I live in NJ and was having my wedding at the Champagne Manor in Monroe, NC and had to plan all the details by phone and email. Our wedding cake was as delicious as it was beautiful looking. We had a two tier cake draped in flowers with scrollwork throughout. One layer was raspberry champagne and another key lime which was perfect for our summer outdoor wedding. Brandi was very patient and accommodating and I was thrilled with the results of her work. You won't be disappointed!

I ordered my baby boy's 1st Birthday cake here. I just showed a sample from Google photos. Brandy is very talented. She made the cake to every detail. Everyone in the party appreciated and commented as the cake design is very unique. Cake tasted awesome, the butter icing is very good. I wish I could attach a photo of the cake from the party but I didn't see any option over here. Overall one of the best choice for party cake.

We had a beautiful, simple, and relaxed atmosphere, but when it came time to say our vows, then eat-and-be-marry it quickly became an emotional wedding, even the cake was in tiers!!! The cliche a picture is worth a thousand words doesn't quite cut it when showing someone who has not seen one of Brandy's cakes a mere photograph. I'm not speaking of mass production shelf goods; I'm referencing Brandy's ability to use a stranger's ideas to create for them a custom baked good that is both visually astounding and delicious. Margaret safely delivered and set up my wedding cake when it was 90+ degrees outside and made sure everything was 100% perfect prior to leaving. My cake is a fantastic memory in and of itself. I have never paid for goods/services in which when the transaction was complete, I wanted to pay more, until now. I am in awe with the level of genuinely kind service I received while the product exceeded my every expectation. I find myself looking for opportunities requiring baked goods...so I may do business with The Icing and the Cake again.

All I can say is WOW!!! Brandy is AMAZING! From the tasting all the way to the wedding she was a gem to work with! I designed my cake and she executed my vision PERFECTLY!! I could not be happier! Not only was my cake GORGEOUS it was THE freshest best tasting wedding cake I've EVER HAD!! Use Brandy and people will be talking about your wedding cake for years to come!
