The Inn at Ocean's Edge

The Inn at Ocean’s Edge is incredibly beautiful with a 180-degree panoramic view of the ocean from all areas of the property. The staff is exceptional, professional, and genuinely friendly. One visit and you’ll not only want your wedding there, you’ll never want to leave. The Inn at Ocean’s Edge schedules wedding weekends as property buy-outs, which enables privacy and also the opportunity to spend more time with visiting guests. We had 100 guests at our September 17th, 2011 wedding and about half stayed in rooms on premises. Our guests were delighted with the accommodations – ocean view, king bed, Jacuzzi and fireplace in each room, as well as the included made-to-order breakfast. Despite the season, beautiful flowers punctuated the well-manicured property. The heated pool, outdoor hot tub, and sauna provided the perfect afternoon to evening diversion for our guests. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, tented reception, and after-party were all held on premises, in different locations of the property. This was great because it allowed for easy and quick transitions, as well as extra time for photography. Since our ceremony was positioned on the front lawn with the ocean as backdrop, the view as I walked down the aisle was unforgettable and our photographs spectacular. All of the food was delicious, especially the custom hors d’oeuvres (mini lobster rolls and clam chowder in shot glasses) prepared for our cocktail hour. Laurel Johnson, the Inn’s General Manager and Wedding Coordinator, is fabulous! Her overwhelming competence and knowledge of wedding planning was evident from the moment we met her. She has an excellent eye for detail, strong relationships with local vendors, and an extraordinary staff. She put my husband and I, as well as our parents and wedding party, immediately at ease because we knew if ever there was a question or problem, she would be right there to address and resolve it. Our family and friends (including more than a few critical New Yorkers) left the weekend in awe: “Wow, so this is Maine? I had no idea.” Exactly the delighted surprise that we wanted for our guests and for ourselves. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

From the moment we drove and walked in, the Inn at Oceans Edge has got a sense of peace about it that I've never experienced, and cannot wait to revisit. The are so accommadating and the resort is impeccable! We came toting part of our wedding cake and they immediatle offered us a place to keep it. The Edge restaurant is fantasitic! The Inn at Ocean's Edge will not disappoint!
