About this vendor
Create Your Own History In This Former Bank
The Noble is a historic wedding venue located in South St. Louis, MO. A former bank, the art deco space boasts elegant detailing and some of the building’s original features. This local landmark highlights beauty and nostalgia, offering couples a one-of-a-kind location to celebrate their love.
This building was constructed in 1929 and gathered much attention from the community as it was the first skyscraper built in South St. Louis. The South Side National Bank was an impressive structure and featured regal detailing of eagles and inscriptions on its facade. The Greco-Roman building was the brainchild of architect W.G. Knoebel, from whom the venue takes its name. Inside, you can hold your wedding under the soaring vaulted ceilings among vintage bank furnishings and accessories. The vault has been renovated and serves as an additional area that you can personalize for your event. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light while antique light fixtures illuminate the room at night. With 7,000 square feet of event space, this venue can accommodate 220 guests for banquet-style seating or up to 350 for a cocktail reception. There are two separate rooms available for the wedding party to get ready before the festivities.
The Noble operates on a one-event-per-day policy, ensuring you have exclusive access to the venue on your special day. Featuring plenty of stunning backdrops for wedding photos. Their wedding package includes exquisite dining services by local catering company Culinary Canvas. For seated dinner weddings a complimentary tasting can be arranged for four people so you can sample dishes and create your ideal menu. There are also options available for late-night stations should you require additional service.

The Noble is an AMAZING wedding venue! It is so unique and made for beautiful photos. We just had our wedding there on 10/26/24 and it was a dream - we got so many compliments on how cool the space was! The staff were all excellent and Maddie (our coordinator we planned and met with the whole time) was wonderful to work with - she was responsive and gave advice/suggestions when we needed it. This is a great venue if you want your ceremony and reception all at the same spot like we did and they even have separate spaces for the ceremony and reception, which was super nice and not all that common in other venues. I highly recommend The Noble!
This wedding venue is so special. We had plenty of room for everyone and the guests really enjoyed having little nooks and seating areas to socialize.
Hannah, the coordinator, did such a great job so that the day of, we could all just enjoy ourselves and have fun.
The servers were professional and friendly.
And the food! Oh my, every single guest was so impressed with how it was restaurant quality and not typical wedding food. So flavorful and so much variety!
Ceremony space is so romantic and the dance floor is perfectly sized for a medium to large crowd.
Thank you all so much to everyone at the Noble!
My wife and I loved having our wedding at the Noble! When we initially set out touring venues, we had a vague idea of what we wanted. The first few places we toured were just not quite right, but when we got to the Noble, it all just clicked. The architecture, the design, the commitment to maintaining the vibe of the Southside bank while also transforming it into a beautiful, timeless space, were exactly what we needed.
We worked with Hannah to coordinate our wedding from the very beginning. She helped us feel comfortable and confident in our decision, and when the time came to begin planning and making decisions, she was so accommodating. From determining the menu, setting our signature drink, arranging tables, to helping us make countless wedding decisions, Hannah was there for us. We definitely couldn’t have done it without her.
As for the food from Culinary Canvas, it was absolutely delicious. It was difficult to choose the hors d'oeuvres because the Chef is possibly a literal wizard when it comes to crafting tasty morsels (try. the. crabcakes.). When we asked about tweaking one of the recipes, CC were perfectly happy to make small changes for us to ensure that we were happy. We also ordered a cutting cake, and it was both beautiful and scrumptious!
The actual wedding day was so well organized. Hannah and Gina did such a fantastic job of making sure that everything was where it needed to go, double checking meals, helping with last minute furniture moving, and just generally doing what needed to be done so that we were able to enjoy ourselves. They even made sure my wife and I got our own plate of hors d’oeuvres so we didn’t miss out on cocktail hour treats (again: crabcakes). The entire staff did so well, and were so nice and helpful, I genuinely don’t know what else to say to express how perfect they made everything.
All in all, we loved having our wedding at the Noble and with Culinary Canvas. It was perfect.
Any questions?
The venue was PERFECT! We loved how historic and gorgeous all the old bank aspects were from the vault to the teller's wall. We wanted somewhere that did not need a lot of extra décor and this was it! We also loved that it held our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at one place but 3 different rooms/areas. It made the day flow very well without worrying about transportation or anything like that. The staff was amazing - especially Maddie who worked with us from start to finish. She was always on top of things and worked so hard to make our day perfect. Communicating with her was easy and she continued to impress us from day 1 until the reception itself! I don't think we could have pulled it all off without her! I wish we had more events to hold here because it was so perfect!
Our experience with The Noble was fantastic! We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding reception played out; the space was stunning, the staff was so helpful, food was incredible, and Maddie was there every step of the way to make the day go smoothly. We sometimes had to wait ~3 days for an email response, but never when we had any urgent needs. Although we spent more than we had hoped to, Hannah was very helpful in working with us to get the most out every dollar. This venue was worth the splurge. We appreciated the variety of options available for both food and style of service (highly recommend the stations!).
Absolutely phenomenal! Hosting our wedding at The Noble was a dream come true. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by its elegant charm and sophisticated ambiance. The Noble blends modern luxury with classic beauty, perfect for our special day.
Hannah, the sales manager, was exceptional, guiding us through the planning process with ease. Madeline, our event coordinator, handled every detail with grace and efficiency, allowing us to enjoy our day stress-free.
The venue’s stunning interior, chandeliers, bank vault, cigar lounge and exquisite decor created a romantic atmosphere.
Culinary Canvas provided an outstanding culinary experience, with a menu that delighted all our guests. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable.
In summary, The Noble, with its elegance, impeccable service, and magical atmosphere, exceeded all our expectations. If you’re looking for the perfect wedding venue, look no further than The Noble. We couldn’t be happier!
The Noble is an absolute gorgeous venue. It matched the Art Deco vibe my wife and I were wanting perfectly. The vault door is absolutely stunning, especially when decorated with a cascading group of florals.
To start, the event manager/coordinator Hannah was the glue that kept everything together. She genuinely seemed like she was excited like we were for our big day! She offered up suggestions for any and everything. She was able to answer all questions we had and provide clarity on several different topics. Hannah was also not afraid to tell people what to do/where to go on the big day. We requested to do two signature drinks (one for me and one for the wife). She wanted an orange dreamsicle margarita (which needed coconut milk added to it). Hannah was extremely accommodating with this and they were able to make it happen!
On to the food… The Noble offers three different styles of meals through Urban Canvas STL (which is their parent company). You can choose a buffet style, seated dinner, or a stations style (this is what we went with). For our stations, we chose pasta, Indian food, street tacos, and sliders! This allowed our guests to pick and choose what they want to eat without feeling forced to eat one thing.
When we went over to the stations at the beginning of dinner, we met the Chef himself. You could tell he was genuinely proud of the food he was offering! He answered any questions we had about allergens and he was a pleasure to meet.
We received countless compliments on all the food, but especially the fish sliders, black bean sliders, and the Parmesan pasta! A lot of guests really liked the Cauliflower Tikka Masala too!
The wait staff present at the Noble was quick to clean up plates and very friendly! That night, the staff cleaned up all our decor and put it into one spot. We were allowed to come back to the venue a couple days after the wedding to pick up all of our different decor and things! This helped immensely with reducing our stress the night of during clean up!
Our wedding at The Noble was better than I could have imagined! Hannah was the most intuitive, thoughtful coordinator. She was there when we had questions, offered suggestions to make our day better than we expected, and was flexible with our needs. I loved having the catering, table rentals, etc. all included, it made my life so much easier! On our big day the staff went above and beyond. They all helped us set up, they were there to help with things I didn't even think of (like opening the doors for the bridal party before we walked down the aisle), and they even took the discarded bows from our menus to wear in their hair to match the aesthetics of the evening! I am a type A, detail oriented, organizer, and I wasn't worried about a thing on my wedding day. Thank you to all of the staff who made our wedding such a special day!
Our wedding at the noble was stunning. It was the best day ever. The pictures in the bridal suite and the cigar lounge are gorgeous. People are still talking about the atmosphere and the delicious food. It’s in a sketchy area of STL, but the people in the area were so kind. We took pictures outside and everyone was yelling congrats to us. The security guard was also on it and wouldn’t let anyone come close to us just in case. This was something my family was concerned about when I picked the venue and I just want to reassure any bride. I love the noble because there was so many places everyone could spread out to the cigar lounge, the patio, the vault. As an introverted bride it gave me a peace of mine that I could go have some quiet time if need be. We had about 175 guests and it was the perfect amount between tables. We did have a wedding party of 12 people at the head table and that was a little tight. Hannah is amazing the way she was able to set up everything we needed, perfectly, and in such a short amount of time was like a super power of her. No matter the request she was able to do it. She was with me on my tour and our the special day. She reassured me when I got nervous and listened to every question I had. We were a little frustrated with the event manager there that night. When we got everything out, we overheard her say, “Finally they are f****** gone.” We didn’t, or at least tried to, not leave a mess and help where ever we could. It was a bummer that was how our experience ended. The other staff was so kind and willing to do anything for us. My husband forgot to start our live stream so I handed my phone to one of the workers and she didn’t hesitate to start it and did amazing.
This place is magnificent. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew this is where we wanted to celebrate!
Guests were complimenting the space, staff, and food all night! It has such a classic and timeless feel to it. With the cigar lounge, the STUNNING vault, the bank teller windows, and the wedding party suite, I just can’t get enough of this place!
Hannah was fantastic to work with throughout the 17 month period. She answered every question I had and gave great insight into what works well in the space. Day of, the entire event went off without a hitch!
We fell in love with this venue from the moment we walked in. Its so stunning that we did minimal decor to highlight the building itself. Every minute of the day was beyond perfect; the staff was great the rooms were spotless and ready for us. Our guest raved about the building. We were grateful to have security as some of our guest voiced they were nervous about coming into the city. And everyone had a blast taking photos in the vault room!! At the start of planning i had issues getting email responses HOWEVER it all made sense as we got closer to our day- we felt like their only priority and through the final details responses came immediately. I was so appreciative of this and wish i could tell myself to relax at the start of the even. Thank you beyond words for creating a perfect day!!!
We loved getting married at the Noble. The space itself is very beautiful all you need are nice florals and everything looks great.
We had many out of town guests so we really prioritized a venue that could accommodate the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Each space was beautiful and nice although the cocktail hour space kind of humid and hot for around 142 guests in early May.
The food was incredible and we received many compliments. We got prime rib, which on the day of was actually roast beef. It was a still good so it was fine.
I think there were a few hiccups during the day but my partner and I had no idea because the team kept everything flowing so well. I'm so grateful to all the staff that worked the day of, they were all so nice and really seemed to care about the wedding. I am grateful each of the folks were there on our special day and can't say enough great things about them.
We fell in love with The Noble on site. We wanted a venue space that allowed us to spend the entire day there. Everything from the bridal suite to the ceremony room to the cigar lounge was perfect. The space is stunning, the food was great. I can't emphasize enough how spectacular Hannah was. We hired her as our day-of coordinator, and she was the absolute star of our wedding planning. She is communicative, receptive to ideas, pays attention to detail, and makes you feel like you're the only bride she has ever met. She was worth every penny.
Absolutely beautiful venue, we did our ceremony and reception here. We loved the staff we had for the wedding night and the food was so good! They have so many options to make the day exactly how you want and having the bridal suite and groom room was so helpful.
This space was great for our big day! It was so fun to have distinct rooms for our guests to enjoy, from the vault, main room, cigar room, and teller room. The chef is amazing as well, and everyone loved the food! We received multiple compliments on the meal and it really was delicious. Aside from the food and space itself, working with The Noble was unfortunately not a good experience for us. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid, so we'd worked with the coordinator for over a year and a half. There were a handful (not exaggerating) of times where we had questions and never received a response to our emails - 11 business days, 14 business days later. This is maddening when you're trying to coordinate across vendors. When it would reach a tipping point and we would call the office, conveniently the coordinator would say that she was just about to respond. This happened twice. She would be rude on the phone and would make things feel like our fault when we'd been waiting weeks for a response. It was clear that she wasn't taking notes either, as there were still questions that went unanswered that we had to hunt down. With the extended time that we'd worked with her, pricing was not transparent, she went back and forth, and communication was a huge struggle. Thank goodness our event turned out great regardless!
Let me start by saying the venue itself is GORGEOUS. It has everything you could want in a single spot - the main room, a ceremony room, lobby for cocktail hour, cigar lounge, large well-lit bridal suite, and a groom room. We received so many compliments on this beautiful and unique space. The chef is great and ready to work with each couple on exactly they want their menu to be, his food is exceptional - don’t miss the stuffed tomatoes!! I took a star off the review, however, because the coordinator’s communication was horrible through the whole experience. It would take me 2-4 times emailing or calling about the same thing to get a response sometimes weeks later. She said Id have a different floor manager for my reception, who I met twice briefly before the wedding day, then NEITHER of them were actually present during my reception. Luckily the rest of their staff were wonderful and helpful the whole evening - it just would have been nice to have known a single person working at the venue during the reception. They really need to either hire more coordinators or replace the ones they have because ours was not proactive at all and often left me feeling like I was missing/forgetting something.
We had both our ceremony and reception at The Noble and couldn't be happier with our choice!
It's a gorgeous historic space and so convenient since catering and drinks are also handled through them. We also got nothing but compliments on the food (many guests told us that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding!). Food and bar staff were all very friendly with guests as well. The linens, utensils, and plate ware they offer is beautiful and customizable for whatever mood and aesthetic you're trying to achieve.
The space itself is versatile and opens a world of possibilities between the "Teller Room" (which we used for the ceremony), the main banquet hall, the cigar lounge, the bridal suite, and of course, the vault (which we used for our photo booth)! Our guests loved moving throughout the venue depending on their energy and what they felt like doing. Of the 55 guests we had, all but 2 or 3 stayed until the very end of the night because they always found a new space to be in and socialize / dance.
Rachael and Hannah are fantastic as coordinators and SO helpful the day of; we highly recommend adding a day-of coordinator to your package! I was dreading planning a wedding for the longest time, but they made it pain-free as possible. They're personable and reliable for all questions wedding-related, before and during your big day.
We had our wedding and reception at The Noble and would choose it again and again! The venue is absolutely beautiful and so unique, unlike anywhere else I have seen. There are so many historical details that make it a one of kind venue. Now for the food, it was delicious! We had so many guests tell us after the wedding that it was the best food they have ever had a wedding and I agree, everything was perfect. The staff and bartenders did an amazing job throughout the night and I know all our guests had an amazing time and really enjoyed the cigar lounge. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking.
The Noble was the PERFECT setting for my wedding reception. The building itself has so much natural history, character and charm, it speaks for itself; it’s a place you walk into and just want to explore. Our decor for the wedding was therefore minimal because we wanted to showcase the natural beauty- and wow, it was beautiful! Our guests loved exploring and taking pictures in all of the different rooms (vault, cigar lounge, teller area, etc). We loved getting ready in the bridal and groom suites and truly didn’t want to leave at the end of the night! The full service plated meal was delightful and left us wanting to eat that meal again and again- shoutout to the chef who was amazing and clearly put his whole heart into making my wedding meal so spectacular! Everyone on the day was amazing. Especially Gina (floor manager), the bar staff, and the servers (special shout-out to the young man who served me and my husband in the vault as we took a moment to relax before our grand entrance; his attention to detail was amazing and so kind!).
Rachael was so receptive to my vision for the day and made all of the planning a breeze.
I would hands down recommend the Noble to ALL of my friends getting married. Truly a magical reception venue and I’m beyond thrilled we got to have our special day there.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Noble this past weekend, and we cannot be more grateful and in awe of the venue! To start, the space is stunning, dreamy, and incredibly versatile. Rachael works with you to review options for your group size and different possiblities for the space. Our guests were excited by the cigar lounge, use of the vault, the groom and bridal suites to get ready, the patio deck and so much more! Having everything in one building was appealing to us so that we could spend more time close to our family and friends that day.
We need to give incredible props to the Urban Canvas team!! Their staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests were taken care of, and that the we - the bride and groom - and our parents wanted for nothing. They constantly checked in on us and offered help. They anticipated our needs before we even knew to ask. We are so grateful for them!
Have your wedding here for an unforgettable experience!
We used this space for both our wedding ceremony and our reception. This was definitely a hidden gem in south St. Louis and we ended up booking the space before there were any major events during some minor renovations. I believe the space had just been acquired by new management not too long after our booking. For your reference, we had about 120 people for our wedding. First of all, the pictures do not do this place justice! I definitely fell in love with this unique venue with a vintage feel even before the renovations began. The vault, high ceilings, elegant chandeliers and sheer curtains that let in the natural light everywhere are absolutely gorgeous and make for amazing pictures. I loved how huge the place was. There's a beautiful bridal suite overlooking the vault room where my bridesmaids and I got ready, and beneath us there was the groom suite where my now husband and his crew got dressed and chilled before the ceremony. Theres a cigar lounge equipped with the proper ventilation that is on a lower level which is such a cool addition to the space and we definitely used it and offered our guest cigars during the reception. We used the vault room for our reception and right in front of the vault was our dance floor. Inside the vault we use as the space for our 360 photo booth area and the teller room with the beautiful twinkle lights was used for our ceremony. So much space that there was no need for a room flip or anything that would take too much extra man power. The food was delicious and fairly affordable (we gave our guest the option of the Wasabi Salmon or the Hickory Smoked Turkey). The chef at Urban Canvas worked with us on what we wanted for our meals and offered suggestions at our tasting to accommodate all of our guests' dietary needs. Although we did not use all of the add on services, just know that this place can be pretty all inclusive which can be super helpful if you do not have a wedding planner. They have ceremony arch ways to rent, a florist that can do centerpieces for an additional cost, I believe 27 different linen color options, lighting, dinner/drink ware and a bunch of other things that come with the renting price or can be added at additional pricing. I actually attended an open house where we were able to see all of the options they offered laid out and we got to speak with some of their other preferred vendors. Such an awesome idea that I hope they keep for other clients. We worked with both Rachael and Steve for our wedding day and they coordinated with our planner to make it all such a magical experience. Overall, I loved this space, my guest had an amazing time, ALLL of the staff did great with our event and I highly recommend booking The Noble.
We had our wedding reception at the Vault at Southside Tower and had a PHENOMENAL experience working with Melina. She was on top of everything and made sure that everything went smoothly that weekend. We received many compliments on the uniqueness of the venue, but mostly on the food. We were told countless times that this was the best wedding food people had ever tasted. I think the price per person is very reasonable! You won't find food like this at a place priced like this anywhere else in STL. I highly recommend working with Urban Canvas for any event you may have!
I loved the Vault so many people complimented me on how unique my wedding was. A good time was had by all. The Vault is a great space and Urban Canvas is a great team. They were so accommodating to all of my requests and really worked on creating the event I wanted. Wedding date: 5/15/15
We were so pleased with the staff at MOTO. They paid attention to extra details to make our wedding so special. Additionally, they went out of their way to add the details I had requested, even though it was beyond what they needed to do (for example they se up my centerpieces despite the fact I was planning to send family to take care of it). Everyone was extremely progressional and they helped us work within our budget by adjusting the menu as needed. Their bar prices were the best I saw while looking at venues. And most importantly it was such a great and unique place for a wedding reception that will not be forgotten!
