The Opus is a jewel of Westchester with exceptional service in a tastefully artsy setting. I got ready and stayed here, along with my bridal party, for my wedding at Kanopi atop the penthouse (a gem in itself). Ronelle, Opus’s Meeting & Special Events Manager, was exceptional -- she coordinated our room blocks, put in a special request for extra early check-in so I could get ready with ample time (with a steamer/director’s chair at no cost), cleared the 2nd floor landing for my first look photo shoot, and sent us chocolate and prosecco to our suite, impeccably timed to the ending of our wedding. My niece/nephew loved the indoor pool, and the fitness room was excellent for an early morning workout before checkout! We also love the lobby bar – classy with local light bites.
The Opus Team helped make our wedding weekend run incredibly smoothly! From upgrading our rooms to responding to any requests for help we needed, they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The only challenge we had was we couldn't get into one of our upgraded rooms until 11:30 PM - we were supposed to have access at 5 PM at the latest, but the key card system at the front desk was not working, and we had to pick up our keys after our welcome party on Friday, and the key process still took ~20 minutes at that hour.
Overall, the rooms were worth the wait. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at Kanopi, which is a beautiful venue with a gorgeous view if you're lucky enough to have a clear night!
I am getting married on July 22nd and I have to say that the Ritz Carlton has been one of my favorite ' vendors' to work with. My guests are staying at the property, and I am getting ready and having our Sunday brunch in the Sapphire Suite. Working with the wedding team there has been amazing- especially working with Alex Corbett. She is kind, patient and so professional!! She never makes you feel like 'bridezilla' (even when you know are being one) and responds back right away even after hours. Ashley, Deana and Joshua have also been so incredible helpful and wonderful! I am so excited for the day to be here and I know I am in great hands with Alex and the Ritz Carlton wedding/sales team!!
When my wedding flowers were not deliverd, my hair and makeup woman (Suzette with NuImage) called her contacts at The Ritz Carlton 2 hours before my wedding and ordered them! They arrived in time on budget and were beautiful!
Cecile at the Ritz Carlton did my hair and make up for my wedding day. Unfortunately it was very humid out so my curls fell quickly, but that wasn't her fault. The make up was pretty much flawless and lasted all night. My only negative comment was that at the trial she said they would have the high quality eyelashes for my wedding day, and when I showed up they didn't have anything. They sent someone out to get some and they quickly came back with a few pairs...from CVS! The glue showed through on my eyelids in photos and that was when they were even staying on. We had to re-glue many times through the night, the worst being in the limo right before photos and I got the glue in my eye. Ugghh. So overall it was a good experience, but at such a high quality hotel and salon, I would expect them to have high quality products as well.
We booked a suite at the Ritz for the bride and the mothers to have hair and makeup done, and for our wedding night stay. The suite was stunning, so spacious and comfortable and the service was impeccable! They delivered chocolate covered strawberries to the room, and had bridal turndown complete with rose petals! Lovely stay - we will be back!
